No more water

No more water this year, the river has gone dry. Fish died. Frog fled. Moss covers the pebbles. Reeds and lilies are replaced by grass and ferns. The trees are ok, for now. There's still plenty of life here and yet, I feel the desert slowly creeping. Plus d'eau cette année. La rivière est à sec. Les poissons sont morts. Les grenouilles se sont enfuies. La mousse recouvre les galets. L'herbe et les fougères remplacent les roseaux et les nénuphars. Les arbres résistent, pour l'instant. Ça fourmille de vie ici, et pourtant, je sens le désert se rapprocher lentement. Ça me rends triste. Pas parce que ça arrive, une rivière qui change de trajet c'est courant, mais parce que c'est de notre faute.
