happily and humbly! i am SO thankful that so many kind people are helping me in this moment of vulnerability. it really means the world to me that there are thoughtful, caring, and non-judgemental people out there who can give me a hand. how lucky am i to be surrounded by such love?
I haven't made any secret of the fact that I don't think the 2000 LM miniseries is good like...at all...in any way....BUT
I am extremely intrigued by their unaging Immortal Gavroche, which I'm pretty sure was unintentional and just another symptom of the really ruined timeline they have going BUT IT HAPPENS NONETHELESS
and ALSO intrigued by this bit where he walks into the barricade, sort of ambles around, and then absolutely zeroes in on Bahorel (yes, that's Bahorel! It's even verbally confirmed later! and he has a red waistcoat! One Actual Point to LM 2K from me XD) like that's who he was looking for in the first place
...the intrigue is not lessened by me being highly suspicious that Bahorel is also kinda immortal in this one (again: probably not on purpose, there's just. there's a lot of issues with the editing in this. Whoo boy this is not a good show.)
ANYWAY thanks for the 1.5 minutes of blorbo interaction , show, I'm taking this and the Immortal Gamin and nothing else
I HATE finding beauty in the mundane is there a way to turn this off or something. I will be sitting there living like wow guys are you seeing this shit. The sky is blue. Yeah I know it's always blue. Isn't it pretty though? Come look at this cool Crack in the sidewalk. I think it's new.
its so funny because sometimes i wanna post about so much stuff that runs through my head but then i draft something up and end up deleting it. trying to get over it this year though.
People on Twitter being like "ooh aah but to make art you need EXPENSIVE SUPPLIES AND TECH, art is TRULY the most ELITIST pursuit and thus it is right to rip off and degrade artists because that is how we make art ACCESSIBLE TO THE PEOPLE."
Fucking hell these people don't care SHIT about making art accessible. All they are making is excuses. To make art you need something that money can't buy and that is the WILL AND DRIVE TO MAKE SOMETHING YOURSELF. Everything else follows.
You can use literally whatever you have at hand to start drawing. Printer paper and ball pen. Free art apps and mouse. That's how I and many others started.
The funniest part is that never in the history have good art materials and resources been so cheap and accessible. My first drawing tablet was the size of a fuckin oven tray and had maybe 2dpi resolution and no pen pressure. With the price of that thing you can now get a very good tablet that you can make pro work with. It ridiculous.
As for traditional art, just use fucking whatever. I used absolute garbage paper that is Bad by any measure and yet I didn't care because I wanted to CREATE and so I made these pieces that I was so proud of back in the day.
Garbage paper and garbage colours. Free art software. These pieces are still very dear to me.
People are just mad that there are no shortcuts to art. People are mad that this shit takes TIME AND EFFORT to build up.
If you want to really create something you will fucking sit on your ass and probably cry but you will make the effort to put down some marks.
I am not sure that these whiney babies even want to make art. It sounds like they just want the clout and they are mad that the shortcut they found isn’t met with awe and praise.
These fucking dildos are mad that art takes skill and effort and they are mad that artists ask for recognition of their skill and effort while they are not willing to put in any of that themselves.
i'm rewatching a bunch of the kh3 promotional trailers bc i'm trying to document how the advertising team for KH sorta sucks and it's what led to an overall negative reception for kh3's release (not hating kh3, just making observations on how it was marketed).
and i've discovered something.
i somehow missed the re:mind trailer that showed off yozora and the whole secret boss ending, as well as the guardians of light fight entirely, and that actually made me enjoy re:mind way more than i would've.
i was someone that watched every single kh3 trailer leading up to release, and to say i was expecting the stuff going on in the base game was an understatement. i actually predicted and theorised on a lot of stuff that happened based solely on the trailers we had gotten, and i was right in a lot of it. replicas being important, xion being the last vessel they needed, lingering will being connected to namine.
and at the time, i was a little underwhelmed by the release, despite enjoying it a lot. however, the game loses the luster if you already know where it's going to go, and the trailers fed people so much that by the time you got to the actual game, you just had to make your own hype be the fuel for enjoying it.
however, because i had only watched a single re:mind trailer, and i only saw portions of it, i didn't know what was gonna happen at all. i knew roxas was playable, but that was really it. maybe i saw scala, nothing else. nothing that made me ballistic like the kh3 trailer's did.
unironically, not watching the trailers and letting the game present itself to me organically without the pre-establishing influence of marketing made it so much more enjoyable.
I dont trust SW, I don't! Throughout the series, but especially moreso in recent chapters, it's being stressed that they're expanding more and more into the military and weapons sector. The CEO is being portrayed as kind old man right now, but when he was introduced, he was a shrewd and ruthless businessman. Something fishy is going on at SW, and I don't think the CEO is as innocent as he comes off.
ig another unpopular opinion is that I like the senti plot point (for adrien, but also the other characters), but then again I do understand why others wouldn’t
