controversial opinion

I actually like and have no problems with Ladybug’s original design and suit. It’s very easy to draw and makes the process stress free. It’s also practical and works universally as a design that makes you go “Ah! she is supposed to be a ladybird!”

Don’t get me wrong. I love seeing redesigns and variations and concepts of her suit (and even I like redesigning for fun) but her OG suit is good!

#miraculous ladybug #miraculous ladybug and chat noir #the main complaint i see regarding her suit is that it's just skin tight #well so is spiderman's and superman's and batman's #and a bunch of other heroes from marvel and DC #even chat noir's is skin tight but with light details #me thinks that this may be an internal misogyny thing AGAIN >:/#why is it that only girls should hide the shape of their bodies?#why is it that if girls aren't flat as a board that we're automatically assumed to be sexualised LMAOOOOO #and obviously I know this mindset isn't the case for everyone regarding their complaints with the suit #and that's okay you're free to have your own opinions #but i just think you're wrong :D #had to study fashion modules as well at uni and college !#and overall in terms of who the show is marketed to and what kind of a cartoon it is #ladybug's design is perfect!#ribbons like antennae #twin pony tails at the back looking like a ladybird's wings when flying #bright red and big black spots all over her suit and mask #and even a yoyo??#this is peak design man come on

Marinette goes to the Met Gala

Marinette receives an invitation to work the Met gala while she’s in fashion school as a working internship. She of course has to make her own dress! My thought for the dress is she has her friends help her find discarded pieces of tweed to make her dress. We love an eco conscious queen! Since she is working the event, Adrien is not able to go (which is fine because someone needs to watch the city of Paris).
