Things I learned today - December in a post office edition
It is my own personal fault that the postal service takes 3 weeks to get your parcels to the other side of the world at the busiest time of the year. I mean, it's not like there's an extra 100,000 items in the post system that also need processing.
Yes, it really does cost that much to courier it
No, I can't make it cheaper because you don't want to pay that much
It is also my own personal fault that there is a queue out the door and people have to stand in it to get their turn (did I not realise that people are in a rush? Am I doing this on purpose?)
No matter how many times I tell a person they can't pay by credit card for the car registration, they will still tell me they paid with it last time (n.b. you haven't been able to pay by credit for it in a post shop since about 1982, I can assure you that they did not, pay that way six months ago)
If I have to explain that I do not personally make these rules one more time, there's a very good chance I'm going to stab someone in the eyeball with a ballpoint pen.
