Rules;
- I will not tolerate any sort of bullying for people who request. As going out of your way to read things that don't appeal to you is directly your own fault. Not mine.
- Anyone may request anything, except for any sort of (for example) half cat/half human, anything that has to do with scat or piss fetishes, pedophilia, or anything along the lines of that.
- Do not request for me to write outside of the fandoms I list.
- I only write for canon, so nothing like High school or College AU's. Not my thing, but on rare occasions if I'm interested enough I might write one like that.
- Keep in mind this is a DARK FIC blog, please do not request pure fluff, it defeats the point of a darkfic. However there can be fake fluff.
- Also please do not request multiple characters from multiple of the fandoms listed below, the most characters I'll do is with head cannons and "How ▧▧▧ is (insert characters)". But that's about it.
- Please be a little bit specific, though it's not required. It will automatically default as HC(head cannons) if not specific. Like- for example, scenarios or maybe one shot ideas. Or maybe with a specific reader type- like maybe an uninterested reader or something like that, I want to make works that you'd enjoy!

lena pls feel free to ignore this because it is very off topic but i don’t know any gamer gamers and i’ve seen you and other tumblr people talk about those games where you make choices and romance various aliens and do you have to shoot the video game gun good to play those?? my gaming skills are on the level of pokemon or nancy drew for example but i would like to kiss aliens too !!
Hi anon, it's no problem at all, I love to talk games! So I sort of separate the games I like to play out into two categories:
RPGs with choices
Choice-based games
"RPGs with choices" are what you've probably seen me talking about on here, like Bioware's Mass Effect (the one where you get to kiss aliens) and Dragon Age (the one where you get to kiss, like, elves and mages and etc.) or Spiders's Greedfall. These are some of my favorite games in existence, so I can't not urge people to play them as soon as humanly possible, because the stories, characters, and choices are absolutely fantastic; but these do contain real-time combat elements! So for Mass Effect, for example, you will need to aim and shoot things in between wooing your crewmates, and you do run around fighting enemies you encounter on missions. I'm not really good at shooting things, by any means, and you can play these on an easy difficulty, but if your level of comfort is more turn-based, this is something to know heading into it! Same goes for Dragon Age and Greedfall: you do have to fight things, but taking it slow and playing on the lowest difficulty might be less intimidating for you! Maybe look them up on YouTube to get a feel of the gameplay first!
Honorable mention here is BioWare's oldest game, Knights of the Old Republic, which is set in the Star Wars universe and features a kind of turn-based combat, though it takes some getting used to if you're used to things like Pokemon. However, there aren't really romance "options" (if you play a female character, for example, you have one male romance option, and if you play as a male, the reverse is true), and a brand-new remake was recently announced, so it might be worth waiting for that, since the old version does have some bugs unless you download some mods!
If turn-based games like Pokemon are more your speed, I'd recommend trying out games in my second category, which are more casual, typically more "choice-based," and not reliant on real-time combat at all. Among these are:
TellTale Games - all of the ones I've played from TellTale have featured excellent storytelling, and their gameplay style is all about making choices and investigating things via point-and-click (so I guess pretty similar to Nancy Drew), so there's no combat or anything like that (you do have to make some choices quickly, though). These feature less overt romance, though some titles do have it and let you choose between romantic interests for your character! I'd recommend their Walking Dead games or The Wolf Among Us to start out with!
Life is Strange - yes to romance options and yes to point-and-click gameplay! I definitely recommend starting with the original, which I believe just had a new remastered version come out. I haven't played Life is Strange 2 or Before the Storm (the prequel to the first game), but I also adored the latest entry in the series, Life is Strange: True Colors! However, like the TellTale games, these do have you play a set protagonist, not a customizable one where you get to choose your name and gender, etc.
Honorable mentions specifically for you:
Fire Emblem - if you haven't given the Fire Emblem series a try, I'd recommend it, particularly the latest and greatest entry, Fire Emblem: Three Houses! There are less choices to be made here (you get to choose what house you join in the latest one, which greatly diverges the story you experience, and things like who you want to spend time with; but there's less dialogue or story-altering choices like in the other games), and it features turn-based combat just like Pokemon. There are so many options to romance (and even matchmake between other characters as well!) in these titles that it will make your head spin. Gender-choice protagonists and the ability to romance/pair up characters started with Fire Emblem: Awakening, I'm pretty sure, so you could start with that one; Fire Emblem: Fates (not as good imo); or try out the most recent and richest title, Three Houses!
Persona - like Fire Emblem, this is not an actual "choice-based" game in the same sense of the others, but there is a large cast of romanceable options, a brilliant story and world, and turn-based combat very similar to Pokemon. And you do get to choose how to spend your time and make little dialogue choices, and there are different endings to each story as well! However, if playing as a female or male protagonist is important to you, only Persona 3 Portable has that option, and you'll have to wait to play that one when it's released on Steam on January 19th!
Honorable mentions in this category also include Supermassive's games like The Quarry and Until Dawn. These are horror-based games, though, but are all point-and-click choice-based games that do feature some romance/flirtation, though you switch between different (preset) character perspectives to help see these relationships through (or ruin them, it's up to you). Best played with other people for maximum effect!
Hopefully that helps you out, anon! And if anyone has any other suggestions to throw in there, feel free!

ooc post- i wanted to compile the areas where my own personal pokemon lore contradicts with that of the canon of the games!
(also, im a little paranoid of this coming off as vagueing anybody in the inbox whose sent in asks about these topics- please dont take it that way if you have sent in something like that! the whole point of this blog is to provide interesting explanations for odd pokemon stuff, and all of the following is certainly odd pokemon stuff warranting explanation. these topics are just things i can't reconcile with my own version of the canon, or i think are more interesting when changed.)
so the majority of stuff i post here is additive to the canon. extra supplemental stuff that can slot into what we know about pokemon from the games, is the intention. i try to take almost everything the pokedex says at face value, save for perhaps some exaggeration on the numbers (mostly temperatures..). buuuuut for the sake of my own fun and cohesiveness of my own little version of canon, i've changed a few things.
upon reflection like...almost all of this has to do with the breeding system, lmao. so in the game, every single pokemon that's able to breed does so by laying eggs. they all have large eggs that hatch into large offspring, implying few offspring are produced with relatively high investment (k-selection).
i think this really flattens the interesting ways that organisms reproduce. there's a lot of bizarre, neat ways that things make more of themselves and making every single pokemon capable of reproduction have the same reproductive strategy is just boring!! so im throwing it out the window goobyebye
and then there's egg groups. the fact that entirely different species can breed with one another (not counting pokemon like tauros/miltank illumise/volbeat and so on where the males and females of presumably the same species are counted as different pokemon due to extreme dimorphism), with the female passing down the species.
i tried for a while to make a way this works that's interesting to me, but couldn't really land on anything. i'm sure there are folks out there who could create an interesting and cohesive spec-bio world where organisms use a reproduction system like this, but i'm not that person. so, for my purposes here, pokemon can only reproduce with members of their own species. (except for ditto. ditto's weird, and in a fun way. i'm still trying to come up with a reason for ditto's Whole Thing. but i want to keep ditto's whole thing intact, and removing the idea of egg groups makes it even weirder and unique among other pokemon. i'll figure some reason for why it can do that.)
also worth noting here are non-living pokemon. object pokemon, ghost pokemon that are canonically spirits, those sorts. these pokemon can often breed. yamask, for example- my personal favorite ghost pokemon- as a kind anon pointed out, is canonically the risen spirit of humans from hundreds of years prior...but it can also breed and produces eggs. in my eyes, only one of these things can be true, and i prefer to keep the ghosty stuff, because i find it much more fun. so, in my own little pokemon world, ghost pokemon like yamask, drifloon, or sinistea which are said to be actual spirits don't reproduce like normal creatures, and are instead created directly from Ghostses
lastly are Bullshit Gender Ratios. pretty much just pokemon that are entirely male or entirely female without an interesting reason. i absolutely hate the trend of any vaguely "feminine" looking pokemon being an all-female species. tsareena, tinkaton, jynx, lilligant, so on. there are some interesting ways animals can be all-female, mainly via the process of parthenogenesis, when a creature produces offspring without fertilization. this is most famous in vertebrates like the new mexico whip-tail lizard, an all-female species in real life. but it seems almost always when there's an all-female pokemon species..it's literally just because it looks girly, or less often all-male species looking manly (ie the hitmons and sawk+throh). and that ticks me off SO much, i don't like it one bit, so most single-gender species (not counting things with diverging evos like mothim [which is notably based directly on real bagworms, it's really neat] or salazzle) i'm treating as if they had normal gender ratios.
(sidenote, and something i'll probably make an in-character post on at some point- mandibuzz was an inadvertent prediction of this, which i find pretty fun.. mandibuzz is an all-female vulture pokemon, and only last year it was discovered that california condors are apparently capable of parthenogenesis. nice call, gamefreak.)
additionally, all-male species just straight up do not exist in nature. like, i don't want to entirely strike them from my canon, i'm sure i can figure out something .. but idk, stuff like braviary which is just a normal-ass bird, i see no interesting reason or explanation for it to be all-male.
anyways, yeah, i think that should be everything. thx for reading and sorry to anybody who wanted a fun explanation about the topics here, i wasn't able to come up with one 😔

So, week one of being pursued by Team Cipher went well-ish. I have decided to name the suicune Comet. She doesn't bite me when I call her that, so that must mean she's fine with it. Oh, by the way, Comet is a she. I know because whenever I use gender-neutral or male pronouns for her, she bites me, but not when I use female ones. It seems some pokemon are sexless, but not genderless. We get along mostly fine, except for when she bites me to express displeasure with something, which seems to be the only emotion she ever has, other than battle-frenzy. She does seem to like headpats, but I genuinely can't tell if it's because she actually enjoys them, or if it's because it puts my hand within optimal biting distance. Incidentally, I happen to be typing this whole post with my right hand. I'm going to need to purify her soon if I want my other hand to survive.
In other news, I got arrested! Turns out, "Here you go, they're your problem now!" isn't a good defense for being caught snagging shadow pokemon in front of an Officer Jenny. Fortunately, I managed to convince her to call Professor Krane, and he cleared things up. Apparently, (overly simplified) by being nice to Comet, I'd gotten the purification process started. Unfortunately, I'm still on the hook for "encouraging dangerous and illegal behaviour" with my original post distributing the snagging app. I really should've seen that one coming.
Even worse, I've been sentenced to 80 hours of community service bringing down team Cipher. Apparently, they're convinced I'm some kind of battling prodigy. I'm really not, I'm just some schmuck who got lucky with a pokeball. I tried asking them to just put me in jail and leave the bringing down a team to someone qualified, but they would have none of it. So, here we are. I think I'm going to look at a guide online and get started building the stalliest team known to 'mon - if I have to suffer through 80 hours of battling, then I'm gonna make damn sure team cipher suffers too.
Also, some important news about the snagging app I distributed in my previous post: The exploits it used got patched, so as of yesterday, it won't work anymore. Props to whoever's in charge of pokesecurity at team Cipher, they work fast! That being said, the goons they sent after me thought this meant I couldn't snag their shadow pokemon - but of course I could! Do they think I've been sitting on my hands all week? Okay, maybe they have a point about my left hand, but I have another one! I won't be distributing the updated version though, both because I don't want to get even more hours of community service added to my sentence, and because I'm pretty sure that having a working example to look at helped team Cipher patch those holes in their security, and I'm done giving them freebies.

Meet the Sky High Family! Base made by @mewtwoandme Character design: @artdumpandheadcanons (me lol) I had to hop on these bases because they were like perfect for the Radioactive family that I have planed Meet the SkyHigh family! have some Info on them. I ranted about them under the cut so it’s there for you if you want to read it
Lets start with Dada! and Our main character: Stormcloud: He/them Stormcloud or Stormie for short is a Water dark type Mewtwo. Storm is the revived and reincatned version of a long deceased Mewtwo that had died during a surgical Experiment, one of the first tried to implant a Mega stone into a Mewtwo. The physical body that storm has came with a cost. The deep stormcloud like pattern that cover his body is a ever growing disease that effects his power level and physical health so much so that now he only has 5 PP for each of his attacks and can not attack all at once. Personality wise, Storm is quite bubbly, not as much as Raine but they are happy, they have fun, and they are more expressive but they still have that grumpy gen 1 Mewtwo energy sometimes. Raine: She/They Raine is a Mew that Arceus sent to guide Stormcloud in his day to day life. Storm considers Raine to be his parent since they have been there since day 1, To take care of him, to love him, and to be there for him when things get bad. Though, the good doesn't last and Stormcloud will soon find out who Raine really is and that is going to change their life forever. Raine is the impediment of Energy just pure zoomies. they are the fun parent, but they know when their optimism isn’t wanted and will get serious if they need to. Zypher: He/she/they The child of Stormcloud, and unfortunately fallen victim to the same Disease that he has. She is unable to levitate due to it. Unlike Storm he is Water Electric type due to his way of coming into being. Zypher has a more stoic personality. Not alot phases him, except for a special phsyduck rattle that Raine made for him it never fails to calm his crying and make him laugh. -Arceus decided that a child would fix Stormie’s daddy issues so one day while flying through a storm. Stormie was Struck down by lightning, a special blue lightning bolt that Arceus had sent to bring Zypher into the world. When Stormie came to, he was in a pokemon center. Panic set in because all he knew of this place was bad, medical procedures to be done and being poked and prodded. The only thing that ended up soothing Stormie is the Appearance of Raine who managed to calm him. Once healed He was allowed to go back to the nesting area he and Raine shared.  -Days began to go by and Storm began to grain more and more weight, and became more and more sick. Storm was confused, was his disease getting worse? what he going to die? Well the answer came when he woke up in the middle of the night to an intense pain. That night, Storm, despite all odds, laid an egg. a very lopsided one. -Due to his male coded body, and not being made to raise an egg unlike his female coded counterparts the egg wasn’t right and He didn’t believe it would survive But! against all odds, Zypher hatched 3 weeks later, but not in the normal way a Pokémon would hatch. Since Mewtwo don’t have a Pre-Evolution Zypher was small, and needed time to grow and that brings us to present day. The three live together in a secluded plateau that is very hard to reach even for Pokémon who can fly. The only ones who usually can get through there are Pokémon that are able too phase through. and most of those Pokémon are too scared to

I saw a tiktok on my for you page about how a ton of women say they hate Andrew Tate but can't actually say what he does that's so bad, so here's an essay about alphamales and conformity:
One of the things that has been most stark after watching quite a few alphamale videos, especially critiques of these videos, is the central belief of these men that deep down in the psyche of biological male and female people is this instinctive drive to exhibit stereotypical behavioral characteristics of their sex.
For male people they believe there is a predisposition towards being aggressive, dominating, and thinking without emotion(?). But female people are passive, submissive, and assert there sphere of mental strength in emotional intelligence.
This assignment of behavioral characteristics is not completely unfounded, as in American culture children are conditioned from a young age to exhibit behaviors aligning most closely with their sex. But they have not been scientifically proven to be instinctual or genetic so saying that they apply to every member of a sex is incorrect and also comical.
'Alphamales' typically use these behavioral characteristics in order to facilitate sex between members of different sexes; which is done by making interactions between these sexes formulaic. To 'alphamales' female people are like a puzzle game (think a rubik's cube), they're fundamentally the same but require different steps to solve them depending on how they're scrambled up. Functionally there are a few set moves or ways to behave towards a rubik's cube that will allow you to solve it. And since each rubik's cube is the same, methods that worked on one woman should be just as applicable to another.
Women being the same, then, is something that 'alphamales' want. If every female person is the same, and the same tricks work on every single one, it makes it easier to have sex with as many as possible; something which, I have discovered from watching their videos, is desirable so that they can achieve the end of finding the 'best one'. This ideal woman would of course only differ from other women in her looks, talents (in exempli cooking, cleaning, sexual pleasuring, et cetera), and ability to portray herself as the 'alphamale's' sanitized ideal woman. This proves that 'alphamale's' don't see women as real people, (or at least not in the way that they see other men as real people). Women are accessories that can be compared and traded like pokemon cards.
However, in reducing female people to one cookie cutter model, 'alphamales' face the consequence of being reduced to carbon copies of each other as well. The people making these videos prescribe certain stereotypically masculine behaviors to their followers in order to be more attractive to their cookie cutter woman. In some cases, they tell them how to dress 'correctly' and once I saw a guy tell his following that certain piercings were only for girls. The men who subscribe to this ideology risk losing their individuality and introduce throes of the same toxic man in different forms into society, which just makes it worse for everyone because 'alphamales' see themselves as ideal versions of manhood and thus everyone else as inferior, meaning that they have no respect for anyone other than other 'alphamales'.
Thus, the central dogma of the 'alphamale' movement is a desire for conformity. They believe that a person's sex dictates their role in society and reduce people to that assigned role. It's stupid and funny because people are diverse and vibrant and are never going to fit into those reduced roles no matter how much they try to force them into them. Pretending that people can be confined to such things makes a person treat others like objects, which is gross and a blight on society.

Pokemon Crystal "Free to Play" Run Part 3
Well, I got distracted for a while thanks to Scarlet and the Generation VIII and IX Pokemon nicknaming, but it's about time I finish this run and try something I didn't fully explore last time.
Now where was I... oh yeah. Kanto.
Tumblr media
Sabrina's level 50 Alakazam... in Yellow only... was nerfed to level 48.
Oh yeah. Remember the days when Dark type was a Special type? I have no idea why. Every single Dark type move that existed back in GSC is currently a physical attack. If I recall, when the physical/special split happened in Generation IV, the only Sp. Atk Dark type move was Dark Pulse, which was a Generation IV move. So... yeah. The physical contact and yet Sp. Atk move. Which tremendously buffs Espeon!
Okay. I can get Snorlax now, but... that's not a gift. Hmm... I do want its Leftovers though. Hmm...
Tumblr media
Good thing that I picked up TM 46: Thief. Yoink!
Tumblr media
So this is my pre-Red team. ... Uh oh. A level 52 Mew could solo Red except for Snorlax, but... with this team? ... Well, time to find out if I need to grind some more.
Tumblr media
This cave in Mt. Silver requires Waterfall and... this is all that's in it. ... Why. Well, at least this cave HAS something, unlike in GS...
Tumblr media
And the second Waterfall-hidden cave in Mt. Silver that has one healing item inside. Again, why. I don't think the encounter tables are different in these rooms than the outside. It's not like in Platinum version where that one room in the Eterna Forest mansion that has wild Gengars (1% chance?).
Well then. Time to ram into Red and see what happens.
Tumblr media
This little Espeon carried the win. Everyone else is down. Holy crap. ... So that Dragonite that I got... did nothing helpful. So that was a total waste of Exp Share time.
Whew. Now that I barely got through Red... I want to tackle that GS Ball glitch again. ... If I remember how. The GSC Joy Runs I posted have details in them so the future me can use them as reference!
Tumblr media
I do need to catch things though, but the Free to Play run ended after beating Red. So I need a male and female Exeggcute, since that thing gets Reflect very early and also as an Egg move. So if I breed two identical Exeggcutes with this exact moveset, the offspring will also have this exact set in this order. Thus Reflect is in the 4th slot.
Now I need a bad clone. A level 0 female with no name.
Tumblr media
... Er... I... That IS a bad clone, but not... rightly bad?
Tumblr media
It has Pokerus though. ... And a 4x weakness to Fighting...
Tumblr media
... Now those are some stats. Level 255, so... understandable. So that means when I took on Agatha and her level 205 stuff... this is the kind of stats I had to overcome with free sh*t.
This is the wrong bad clone, so I have to try again and again... and... there we go. Now to follow my own instructions and...
Tumblr media
So Flash in the third slot gives Dragonair. And this run's ID's Hex value corresponds to Synthesis and Meditate. ... The last run gave me Earthquake and Vital Throw. Anyways. Hey, GS Ball!
And time to withdraw my stuff and...
Tumblr media
The... game crashed. Huh. Never saw this screen before. Okay. So I need to withdraw the Pokemon I want BEFORE hatching the glitched egg.
Okay. So what I wanted to try this time that I didn't last time is... I wanted to use Kurt's Apricorn Ball services at least once before the GS Ball event. Because I think that's a requirement? I have no idea. There's an Apricorn tree right next to his house, so give one to him, leave, save, and...
Tumblr media
Select + Down + B at the main menu, let go of Down + B, hold Up + Left, let go of Select, and there we go.
Tumblr media
Mess with the game because I have the power.
Tumblr media
Now just let that minute pass and I can get the Fast Ball from Kurt, and then if I talk to him with the GS Ball...
Tumblr media
... Damn. That was not it. So there really is an in-game trigger that the event actually trips. So let's see what it actually looks like. ... Need a cheat code though...
Tumblr media
So this nurse's existence is the result of force-tripping the in-game trigger.
Tumblr media
... Now I have two of them. Great. I wonder if that means the event GS Ball has a different code than... the cheap knockoff that I spawned. Either that, or the key items don't have an item check upon receiving, since no key item is meant to be obtained twice.
Tumblr media
Now the event triggers. ... And I have to do that time bullsh*t again. Who needs Celebi for time manipulation, when I have to do time manipulation to get Celebi?!
Tumblr media
1 minute later that feels like 1 day... Get the GS Ball back, put it right next to its buddy...
Tumblr media
Oh no. That forest with the treehouse that I tried to set on fire for many years... I mean...
Tumblr media
... Which one? Can I shove both in it?
Tumblr media
And out pops an onion fairy. At long last!
Tumblr media
Well, I mean... it's not a gift, so... Also, because I had to f*ck up the Pokedex with the egg glitch, the game thinks I already caught one.
In fact, if I look at the Pokedex BEFORE the Celebi event...
Tumblr media
This is as far as it goes because I did NOT see Celebi. Note, Seen 196, Owned 39. And now AFTER the Celebi event...
Tumblr media
Seen 197, Owned 39. So I apparently owned Celebi without having seen it before the event.
Hmm. And the event does NOT trigger a second time with the second GS Ball. So that one stays in my inventory for the rest of time with no purpose.
Okay. So what if I used the code, but instead of picking up the event GS Ball, I go to Kurt with only the glitch-spawned GS Ball?
Tumblr media
Nope. That doesn't work.
So... damn. In order to trigger the Celebi event, I actually need to use the cheat code and receive a GS Ball. Glitch-spawned GS Ball does nothing on its own. However, interestingly, if I keep the glitch-spawned GS Ball at the top of my Key Items listing, while the event GS Ball is on the bottom for distinction purposes, when I trigger the Celebi event, the first GS Ball is used. So the glitch-spawned one is used on the shrine, and the event one is left behind for eternity. Fascinating. So the two GS Balls are the same item, but the event triggers only once. Aww.
I wonder if it is possible to use a glitch to trigger the event. I don't know what glitch would do that though. ... Then again, I know how to hatch Celebi from a glitch, so... I don't need to trigger the event. In fact, the event Celebi doesn't have Recover since a level 30 one would've erased it. A glitched egg that gives me a level 0 Celebi with two glitched moves is infinitely better. Since with one Rare Candy, I can give Celebi Recover... and evolve 5 glitch Pokemon off screen...
Well then. That's everything. I think I explored all I wanted to explore in GSC. I guess next up is Emerald. I wanted to try the Pomeg Egg glitch. If I recall, with that, I can evolve an Egg Pokemon before hatching it. So I could hatch a Gyarados. Supposedly. Well, one day.

Okay, so hello!! Hope everything is good with you!! Sending this through inbox just because I plan on giving you something in return. I'm thinking maybe a shufflemancy reading with a few poems / quotes to answer your question? I just love shufflemancy so much lmao. Is it okay then if I ask two questions? If not, I understand. But if it *is* okay, I was wondering if I could ask:
Is there any romantic potential between me (S, she/her) and my crush (AF, he/him)? We haven't talked much since the pandemic, but we had a good thing going and I'm wondering if a romantic relationship is in the cards for us / possible at all as of right now.
If there is a romantic potential between me and AF, can I have some advice on how to approach the situation to ensure that it does happen (basically how to reel him in)? Your girl has absolutely NO game lmao, I kind of need all of the help that you are willing to give, haha. I think I have an inkling of what I need to do, but I feel like a reading would help clear things up.
This is really kind of the last time that I want to ask a question about our relationship, so I figured I might as well go all out, right? I promise this isn't one of those delusional "no-contact" crushes, I actually had contact with this dude before an abrupt separation, and we were getting along so swimmingly :( I'm just clarifying because of your "no third parties' rule".
Thank you so much for your time + dedication! If you choose to respond to my ask (you don't have to of course, you always have the choice!) I'll get back to you as soon as possible with a time estimate on how long the shufflemancy + poem / quote reading is going to take. I am also fine with you asking more than one question for your reading :) Hope your day is GREAT!
Also, I have to add that I love this Pokémon infused tarot reading, it's really original and lowkey nostalgic.
Hey! thanks for participating. Since I took so long, it's not required for you to do anything in return but if you'd like to, feel free to message me! apologies if this question is answered too late.
For your first question, your pokemon is: Jellicent
Tumblr media
At first, I felt a very nostalgic feeling from this pokemon, it gives cream puff vibes, something sweet, nostalgic, & tasty (I've never had a cream puff so don't @ me). For you, you got the female version of this pokemon but there is a male version as well, and both of their descriptions are equally creepy and sinister? Like two peas in a pod. Maybe you both are toxic in some way and fit together perfectly, but it might not be good in the long-run, being toxic to each other, or when you're together, being toxic to everyone else. It feels like there are some good factors here, but someone will probably end up suffering in some way. Overall, I am seeing you guys having some sort of compatibility, whether that be romantic, familiar (chosen family), or friendship-wise.
For your second question, your pokemon is: Meltan
Tumblr media
This is a very weird pokemon for this question, but I think overall you need to be yourself. There is already some compatibility, you know this, now all you have to do is just look inwards and find the confidence to make things happen or drop some hints! The other way is to try and subtly attract him, like be magnetic (this pokemon's ability is magnet pull so quite literally!) but I never suggest anyone to be subtle because lots of people don't get subtle hints (me included oof). Just be yourself, know yourself, and know your person! Do what you know will bring him in.
Thanks for participating! feel free to leave feedback in my ask box.

Pokemon Red; Type Spin
What even is a type spin? Well, it's a run where every Pokemon on the team shares at least one type with someone else on the team. Not the best, nor most effective strategy for any Pokemon game, but definitely a nice challenge.
I really shot myself in the foot with this run, ngl. 90% of my team, the one I took to the league, was very late game. Either by the route they were found on, or by the special means they needed to be obtained through. Namely the Fossil Restoration lab and Good Rod...
Though I did figure that out early on and had a backup squad to assist Churro the Bulbasaur until I could get the mons I planned to take to the League.
The B-team consisted of Punchline the Clefairy, quickly evolved into Clefable to be a good damage sponge. Jabber the Scyther, won from the Game Corner. Birbie the Spearow, also evolved quickly because Fearow is just one of those powerful early game mons. (And they can very easily become huge mainstays with the right moveset.) And lastly Krusty the Beedrill, he was the first to fully evolve and become obsolete because of the type imbalance of Gen 1 Kanto.
Going the route of Poison to kick off the team, mostly because Grass was frequently paired with Poison or otherwise monotyped, I opted for Tentacool, named Whis. Mostly because Whis was a little annoying to fight (Yes, I'm an anime nerd with 98% Shonen-inspired names...).
Swinging around the Water type with a Kabuto named Leroyx. I don't even know why I named him this, it was just the first thing that popped into my head. And skirting the Rock type while I was in the area, I picked up Aerodactyl named Shigaraki. He seemed like a dusty individual that would need skin moisturizer. (But fr, could you imagine the skin care needed after being revived from a fossil? Or just for most Rock types in general...)
And with that, I took off on the Flying type to add a Pokemon I've always caught really early on in Kanto games but never actually used. Yes, we have a Zapdos named Kami. I could have used either Articuno or Moltres just fine under this rule set, but there aren't too many Ice types that didn't overlap or disappoint (>.> Jynx). Nor were there a lot of Fire types that I wanted to use either because I'd used them in excess or I couldn't get a hold of them in this version. (Much like the desire to use Eletabuzz but not being able to find one... None too fond of Magmar sadly.) And the final mon being a Raichu named Adigo.
To spare you all the story and plot lines, because I had to use two separate teams for this run, it was a typical trial of dodging trainers and trying to figure out how to get the max EXP for my main squad while still clearing out the game as fast as possible.

Update 4/28/22
Download
I heard one bad news (that didn’t effect me directly, but I care about the person who it does effect) and I guess I got so distracted that I just didn’t stop until I realized (just now) how much stuff I added to this update. In fact, I thought for sure that I did announce some of the things listed here in the last update but I guess not.
Graphics:
-Fixed Kalani’s eyes. I wasn’t paying attention to the transparency when I replaced the portraits.
-Replaced Pierce’s portraits with the fixed up versions I made a while ago but apparently completely forgot to actually replace up until now.
-Made Jayce’s suit actually look decent.
-Fixed Clyde’s, Kenichi’s, and everybody else who has their hair style’s ear. I don’t know how long it’s been messed up for and I don’t know how it took me this long to realize it.
-Fixed up a bunch of other portraits. Some more dramatically than others.
-Ine’s Halloween portrait has ribbons now. (Unfortunately I can’t fit anything like that in any other portrait.)
-Made more eyes and changed some character’s eyes.
--Kai’s eyes are now inspired by Steins;Gate’s character’s eyes.
--The Steins;Gate eyes are apparently what I needed to finally make Kiana look like how I first pictured her to look- a woman who’s just really tired of what she does for a living. Her eyes are slightly smaller (her lids are more droopy, rather) than the rest. (Though they do widen when she blushes.) I dunno if I’ll want to keep these eyes or not. You can still replace the portraits to the ones previous to these ones through the “replaceable” folder.
---Apparently I made Kiana’s hair color a brighter shade so it doesn’t look too close to the shading a while ago but I never replaced the portraits. I did that this time.
--Zolton’s and Hitomi’s eyes looks sharper, like a Zoroark’s eyes. (I did not color Hitomi’s pupils red like Hisuian Zororark though.)
-I changed every character with a different eye style’s eyes in the date portraits.
+Recolored the rest of of the Gym Leaders’ and Elite 4′s clothes (and replaced at least two of them) to be based on one of their Pokemon. (Since I’d have to so eventually anyway.) I don’t think I’m going to change the champion’s clothes for reasons I’m not gonna say for a while.
I also changed one of the other Gym Leader’s portrait because I realized that I haven’t done that yet despite finishing everything else with them.
+Changed how the wedding dress looks on the portraits. It was a quick edit to make them look less weird and match the overworld sprites a bit more.
+Changed how the wedding tuxedo looks. Before it was just a poorly recolored version of Jayce’s old outfit. It looks a lot better now.
+I made two bases based on Rune Factory 5′s marriage scenes (one female and one male) and made every potential spouse with those bases plus a background. You can see these portraits at the beginning of the marriage events. (Also the background will be animated.) Doing this in this method probably saved me a lot of time. (It only took a day or two after I got the bases finished. The bases themselves also didn’t take very long to make.)
I might do the same thing for the kissing scenes at well. Maybe not though since I think all of them are different? (Like, some of the characters are surprised, for example. Maybe. I’ll have to check them again.) Plus there are six different player characters, so for every one potential partner I’d have to have six images of them.
++Made some portraits that won’t be showing up for a while. This includes finishing the children for reasons I realized way too late (further details below) and also all of the Player’s combination of children while I was loopy as fuck.
Story:
-I fucked up a while ago and prevented anybody from seeing Ollie’s third event. Maybe I fixed it. I dunno.
-I may have prevented the player from dating Alderic if you’re dating one other person. Maybe. But only for two out of five places in his schedule. (I forgot to change it when I decided to make the polyamory thing a lot simpler. But I also forgot to add something to actually prevent you from dating him too, so...) That should be fixed now unless it wasn’t broken in the first place.
-Replaced one of Setsuko’s Pokemon. I did this in the last update. I can’t remember what I replaced, but whatever it was I replaced it with Amaura.
-I also replaced Setsuko’s post-battle dialogue.
+Removed the ability to get married to two people at once. At least for now. I realized that something wouldn’t work unless I make too many child combinations. (You can still date two people though, since that’s already in the game.) If I were to add this back on it’d have to be in the future Plus version because of how much more work (graphics, coding, etc) I’d have to put into this. I needed to finish the children to realize how much work this would require.)
+Finished the pre-marriage schedule scripts for:
Alan
Esmaralda
Souma
Pokemon:
+Added a new Mega Pokemon. It’s a Marowak. It’s sort of based on Guardia, (the scrapped BETA Marowak evolution) minus the baby. (Mega Kanghaskan won’t be available in the game to give Marowak a slight advantage.)
I’m not sure if I want to put it in the game yet. I’m not exactly sure where to put it.

What are everyone’s teams in your Pokemon au? Do you have a plot set out or is it a more causal au?
Oooooh this is a fun one
You'd better fucking BELIEVE we have a plot set up, I have poured so much effort into the Pokemon au
Okay, so: when it comes to teams, I decided that everyone should have at least one legendary Pokemon in their party as a way to be faithful to the ace monster concept, but it wasn’t until much later into the au that I realized I’d failed to do that with Sora’s team, which led to a very fun plot point involving his secret 7th Pokemon he keeps in his box
Teams under the cut because it’s gonna be a long one, boys
Yuya has: Groudon, Sandshrew, Popplio, Hippopotas, Aipom, and Ekans
In his box, he’s got Phanphy, Charmander, Politoad, Ducklett, Liepard, Skorupi, and Lycanroc (Midnight form)
I wanted him to have as many Pokemon as he could that reminded me of the monsters in his deck, and since Yuya is a coordinator in this au instead of a regular trainer, it just felt right that he’d have a lot of different partners he could swap out for various contests
Also I’m mad that there isn’t a legendary dragon that looks like Odd Eyes, so I had to give Yuya Groudon instead, making him the only Yu boy in this au to not have a legendary dragon type Pokemon
Yuto has: Eternatus, Bisharp, Aegislash, Aggron, Lucario, and Shadow Rider Calyrex
Okay listen, I know I was supposed to only give everyone One legendary Pokemon, but with Calyrex I feel justified because it looks So Much like it could be one of Yuto’s Phantom Knights, I mean
Just look at it
Tumblr media
Yuto gets to have two legendaries to make up for Arc-V killing him off so early into the show
Aside from this guy, the rest of Yuto’s team just felt like it should be comprised of steel types ow the edge so that’s what I gave him. His Pokemon are as edgy as he tries to appear to be and that is enough to amuse me.
There also weren’t exactly many good Pokemon equivalents of his archetype, so I made do with what I had.
Yugo has: Latios, Scizor, Claydol, Porygon 2, Ponyta (Shiny), and Sudowoodo
Yugo was honestly so hard to come up with a team for because all his Speedroid cards are just like... toys and stuff for the most part, so I agonized over what I should pick for him for a Long time. In the end, I feel like I got close enough to his general aesthetic with the Pokemon I picked.
(His Ponyta is there because of Speedroid Horse Stilts, and while it is a shiny, the dumbass has no idea about it, and thinks he just happened to get a special blue horse that was born a little differently- he never claimed to be smart.)
He also deadass thought Sudowoodo was a grass type for the longest time. Rin had to be the one to tell him it wasn’t.
“Yugo. Sudowoodo? It sounds like pseudo? As in fake wood?”
“Ohhhhh is that what its name means? Wow Rin you’re so smart.”
No Yugo you’re just exceptionally stupid.
Yuri has: Naganadel, Seviper, Victreebel, Toxicroak, Vileplume, and Roserade
For the most toxic of battlers, I felt it only necessary to give Yuri an all poison type team. I included an even mix of plants in there to tie into his Predaplant deck, Seviper for the snake eye vibes, and Toxicroak... just feels right, you know. I couldn’t find any other poison plant themed Pokemon that seemed like they’d fit his vibe, so he gets a poison frog instead.
Yuzu has: Meloetta, Sylveon, Meowstic (Female), Gardevoir, Florges, and Jigglypuff
I tried to stick with Pokemon that had very feminine vibes for Yuzu, since her deck is comprised of pretty singing ladies, so Meloetta and Jigglypuff in particular feel very fitting in that regard.
Serena has: Cresselia, Delcatty, Glameow, Lopunny, Persian, and Pyroar (Female)
The moon vibes with Cresselia felt perfect for Serena, and as for the rest of her team, all cats and a bunny to pay homage to her Lunalight deck ^^
Rin has: Celesteela, Mismagius, Hatterene, Glaceon, Froslass, and Chimecho
Her team vibes with the witch part of her Wind Witch deck, at least for Mismagius and Hatterene. Glaceon, Froslass, and Chimecho are there due to the etymology of her name, where possible meanings of it include “cold” and “bell”, which I thought was pretty cool, no pun intended.
Ruri has: Galarian Articuno, Pidgeot, Noctowl, Chatot, Altaria, and Unfezant (Male)
Some softer birds for the soft bird girl, for the most part. I liked the thought of her team being all birds like her Lyriluscs, and just... yeah. They’re all very friendly birds that Ruri’s bonded pretty closely with. Also I made sure she had Galarian Articuno for no reason other than it is purple like her, and I think that’s all the reason I need.
Gong has: Kartana, Machoke, Samurott, Golisopod, Hariyama, and Conkeldurr
Gong was really easy to assign a team to- just had to find as many samurai themed Pokemon as possible, and fill in the rest with really strong fighting types, like Machoke, Hariyama, and Conkeldurr.
Shingo has: Type: Null, Dusclops, Misdreavus, Spiritomb, Decidueye, and Cramorant
With Shingo, I tried to go for Pokemon that had the same vibes as some of his Abyss Actors, and I think Dusclops is the best example of this. Tbh I am very proud of giving him a Type: Null because Type: Null is an amalgamation of other Pokemon, something that was created in a lab to be a fighting machine. There’s nothing natural about Type: Null, and it’s kind of terrifying to Yuya specifically, who’s always viewed Pokemon as creatures to befriend. This experiment created purely to kill... unnerves him, and serves as a very good foil to his beliefs when it comes to Pokemon.
And they were narrative foils
Oh my god they were narrative foils
On a sillier note, I chose Cramorant purely because of this quote from its bulbapedia page: “Cramorant are also rather unintelligent as they can't remember which Pokémon they fight in mid battle, but never forget Trainers that they trust. However, they try to attack their Trainers if they steal food from them.”
I just thought the idea of Shingo having this dumb bird that occasionally pecks at him over food would be funny tbh, gotta dunk on the rival at least a little bit.
Sora has: Banette, Vanillish, Swirlix, Stufful, Litleo, and Buneary
In his box, he has a Guzzlord
I feel like Sora’s team is very straightforward, as it’s a mix of sweets themed Pokemon, and Pokemon that represent monsters in his deck- Stufful for Flufflal Bear, Litleo for Fluffal Leo, and Buneary for Fluffal Rabbit. Guzzlord... is relevant later on in the plot after shit goes down, that’s all I’ll say for now.
Masumi has: Diancie, Sableye, Corsola, Aurorus, Tyranitar, and Lycanroc (Dusk form)
Gem Knight girl deserved to have a bunch of good rock type Pokemon, and Diancie is like. The best possible legendary I could have given someone like her lol, the crystal aesthetic is just perfect for her. Not much to say here honestly, I just really vibed with these specific rock types and thought they’d make a good team for her.
Yaiba has: Zeraora, Kecleon, Pangoro, Scyther, Purugly, and Stantler
So I actually threw this list together just now because I realized Masumi was the only member of her trio to have a full team, and that just wasn’t right. I tried to base this team off the XX-Sabers as well I could, but it was a little hard with how many humanoid cards Yaiba has. With his legendary, I actually chose it based off this monster right here!
Tumblr media
I think they’ve got similar enough vibes aesthetically for Zeraora to fit him. Scyther is based on Emmersblade, Kecleon on Ragigura, Stantler on Garsem, Purugly on Gardestrike, and Pangoro... Honestly, it just makes me think of Yaiba himself when I look at him. I think they’d get along well.
Hokuto has: Deoxys, Espeon, Grumpig, Starmie, Lunatone, and Malamar
Psychic type Pokemon just sort of felt right for him to have, considering that his deck is based on constellations and has an overall space theme to it. Not sure why that translates over to psychic in my brain, but you know what, it looks right, I love this team for him, and I’m not gonna question it.
I especially think Deoxys makes a good legendary for him considering it is literally a space alien, and Hokuto’s whole thing is space, so yeah, he gets to have the space alien.
Shun has: Galarian Moltres, Skarmory, Fearow, Dodrio, Staraptor, and Talonflame
Pretty straightforward team I feel- it’s all birds of prey for the Raid Raptor boy, and I just thought the Galarian version of Moltres was neat. Makes me think of his Blaze Falcon since they’re both black and red.
Dennis has: Hoopa, Mr. Mime, Delphox, Zoroark, Alakazam, and Hawlucha
Hoopa seemed like a very good legendary for Dennis to have, given his deck archetype and all, he just kind of looks like a little circus dude. Its unbound form makes me think about the swap Dennis has when it gets revealed that he’s actually been a double agent the whole time, and the play gloves finally come off.
The rest of his team... I feel like they speak for themselves. I tried to give him Pokemon that matched up with his deck archetype, so there’s Delphox to rep the fire themed monsters, Mr. Mime because it just fits Dennis’ general personality- and I love the thought of those two being friends and just copying each other’s theatric poses. Chaotic dynamic duo.
(Also: Zoroark's ability letting it disguise itself as another Pokemon is just another parallel to Dennis pretending to be one of the good guys at first, and I love it)
Shinji has: Buzzwole, Beedrill, Vespiquen, Ribombee, Kricketune, and Leavanny
I tried to give the bee man all the bees I could, but there are only so many bee Pokemon out there 😔 I knew the rest of his team had to be insect types to make up for it, so I picked Kricketune because he is just... a friend... a musical buddy who definitely gets along well with the kids. Leavanny is just a bug mom who also helps patch up the kids’ clothing when they get tears in them, which I just love the idea of. Sweet bug mom whose dex entry talks about how they sew for other Pokemon looks after her trainer’s kids when she’s not battling.
Buzzwole: witness the fitness
Throwback to the Smash Bros mains lmao
Crow has: Murkrow, Braviary, Starly, Swellow, Pikipek, and Corviknight
Bunch of birds for my Blackwing user... This team was partially picked out by June, and it was mostly meant for the Other Pokemon au, but I don’t really see a reason to change his team here. Crow is the one person without a legendary on his team, which makes me sad, but there really isn’t a legendary bird out there that fits his vibes, so as much as I wanna give him a legendary, he will have to make do without one. Sorry Crow.
Hoo... that’s finally all the teams down. Now I can talk about the plot! So, as I briefly mentioned in a previous post (I think), this particular au is inspired by Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum! It’s the era where contests really became a big thing, which is perfect for a lot of these characters because it’s easy to translate dueltaining over to coordinating in this world. Much like in canon, Yuya aspires to be as great a coordinator as his dad was, and strives to entertain people the way Yusho could. He’s not much for battling, and far prefers getting to show off his Pokemon’s talents in contests than anything.
Academia is going to play the role of Team Galactic in this au, which is incredibly fitting with their mission in canon: to remake the universe in their leader’s image. In this case, with Leo Akaba taking on the role of Cyrus, his intent is, presumably, to either destroy the universe that took his daughter from him, or create a new one where she can live once again, no matter the cost.
Sora being a key member in Team Galactic is a very big part of the plot in this au: his mission was to capture one of the lake legendaries, Uxie, since Leo needed all three of them for his plan to remake the universe, but things don’t exactly go well for him, and he ends up losing his battle against Uxie, resulting in all of his memories being locked away, and essentially making him a blank slate.
Side note: the Galactic grunt haircut reminds me a lot of Sora, I mean just look at it
Tumblr media
Practically same bangs as him, just add an upturned ponytail and you’ve got my son.
This post is getting very long... but I will add one last plot related thing to it before I go: Uxie can erase memories, Mesprit can erase emotions, and Azelf can erase willpower. All three of these lake legendaries play a very important role in the plot, due to being the keys to Leo Akaba’s plans to remake the universe. Sora was touched by Uxie, effectively doing away with all memory he has of being in Team Galactic. Yuya ends up touched by Mesprit in an attempt to save them, and subsequently loses his emotions as a result. Riley?
Riley had been affected by all three of them before the plot began, which is why she is the way she’d been in Arc-V: Emotionless, unable to remember anything about her past except for those brief, fleeting flashes of memory when put into certain situations she’d experienced before, and without any will of her own. She’s so dependent on her older brother because she quite literally has no clue what to do with herself without being told to, and needs orders to function.
Hoo, if you’ve made it all the way to the end of the post, congratulations! I think this is the longest one I’ve made... ever lmao. I hope you guys found it enjoyable! If anyone wants to know more about certain aspects of this au, feel free to ask! I look forward to talking about it more c:

do you have an anime watch list for beginners like the best animes of all time
Hello Nonny, thank you so much for your question. This is going to be a long post so get comfortable.
Like any anime lover, I have my own ideas of what some of the best animes for beginners might be. Unfortunatly, a lot of the "best of all time" type anime is not really the best for newer viewers. Like for so many others, my first animes were epic series like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Sailor Moon and Inuyasha. These all hold special places in my heart and are all fun nostalgic or first watches.
The anime genres I tend to gravitate towards now are slice of life, comedy, drama, romance and shoujo with some sports, supernatural and mystery animes thrown in. So, keep that in mind as you read this list. If those are not your kinda things, then this is not the list for you. A lot of shows on this list are classics or highly popular in these genres. I've also choosen anime that comes in both English sub and dubbed versions because, for beginners, dubbed is sometimes easier to follow and enjoy. Subbed or dubbed, there is no judgment here as long as you are enjoying what you watch. Finally, I tried to stick to anime with mostly 1-3 seasons only. There is nothing wrong with the more epic long running series and many of these fall under "the best of all time" heading but seeing that an anime has 100+ episodes can be kinda daunting for a novice viewer. Now to the list...
First of all, if you are just wanting to try anime but, not wanting to commit to a whole series, I would recommend starting with a movie or two. Some classic films I would recommend would be Totoro, Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle from Studio Ghibli. Some more contemporary films like, Your Name, Weathering With You, A Silent Voice and Wolf Children, would also be great anime starting points. These films are staples for any anime collection.
Now, as for anime series, here is just a list of 10 that I think quality animes and would be great beginner watches.
Ouran High School Host Club:
Haruhi Fujioka is a scholarship student at the elite Ouran High School. One day, Haruhi becomes accidentally indebted to the school host club. Now she must work off her debt by playing the role of a male host to the female student clientele. Hilarity ensues.
This reverse harem show is a much loved modern classic for a reason. It's full of fun characters and lighthearted comedy moments with just enough drama and romance to keep you coming back for more.
Tumblr media
Maid Sama:
Misaki Ayuzawathe is the first female student council president for a previously all boys school. Now, her life is busy with maintaining top grades, keeping the male students in line, recruiting more girls to the school and keeping her part-time job at a maid cafe a secret. When one day Takumi Usui, the most popular boy in school, discovers her secret job, Misaki finds herself doing everything she can to keep him from revealing the truth to the whole school.
This shoujo has enough of comedy, romance and drama to satisfy anyone's appetite.
Tumblr media
Fruits Basket:
After finding herself orphaned and homeless, high schooler Tohru Honda makes a new home with classmates Yuki and Kyo Sohma along with there guardian Shigure Sohma. But the Sohma's have a dark secret, they are under a curse that causes them to change into animals from the Chinese zodiac when hugged by members of the opposite sex. Now, Tohru must keep their secret as she learns more about this family and their curse.
There are actually 2 different versions of this show. Many people would recommend that you start with the completed classic 2001 version but, I'm going to say it's okay to skip that for later and dive into the 2019 reboot and ongoing series. The newer series is so beautifully animated and has a more detailed version of the story than its predecessor. This shoujo is full of drama, comedy, romance, supernatural mysteries and inspirational moments. You'll definitely need a kleenex box when watch this one.
Tumblr media
Kamisama Kiss:
One day high school student Nanami Momozono finds herself abandoned by her father, penniless and homeless. After she saves a mysterious man in the park, he offers to help her by giving his home to her. She soon discovers that this gift home is really a rundown shrine and she has magically become local land god. Now, she must learn to juggle her school life and her new position as a land god. Luckily for her, a reluctant fox familiar named Tomoe comes with the shine and has to give her assistance with it all.
This classic is part shoujo comedy and part supernatural adventure. I definitely recommend this in the English dub if for no other reason than to enjoy J. Michael Tatum's voice work as Tomoe.
Tumblr media
The Morose Mononokean:
Hanae Ashiya spends his first week of high school with a mystery illness that has left him feeling increasingly weak. He eventually discovers that the cause of his illness is a large fluffy creature that has attached itself to his back. When Hanae comes across a flyer advertising an exorcist who expels youkai, he decides that exorcism might be just the thing to remove the creature. The flyer leads him to the Mononokean and a magical tea room which suddenly appears. The Mononokean turns out to be a fellow classmate, Haruitsuki Abeno, who reluctantly helps Hanae but, demands that Hanae work as his assistant to repay him for the exorcism. Now, Hanae spends his free time working to learn about yokai spirits and how to best help the yokai that live in the mundane world.
This supernatural comedy is just fun to watch, with enough drama to keep you interested. It really has that classic Saturday morning anime adventure feel but, for a slightly older audience.
Tumblr media
The Devil is a Part-Timer:
Just as Demon Lord Satan, a.k.a the Devil has nearly conquered the world of Ente Isla and destroyed his enemies, a hero named Emilia corners him and forces him and his top general to escape through a portal to modern day Earth. Emilia, of course, follows him determined to finally defeat the Devil. But now they all find themselves on Earth with no powers, they must discover how to survive even if that means the Devil must get a part-time job at Mc Ronald's just to pay the rent.
What can I say about this show... It starts out with an almost stereotypical supernatural action/adventure anime feel only to turn into a comedic slice of life with a little romance and the ocational fight sequence thrown in. This show is one of the best examples of how versatile anime can be and a great way to get a little taste of a lot of genres.
Tumblr media
Death Note:
High school student Light Yagami stumbles upon a supernatural notebook that allows its owner to kill by simply writing someone's name down. Light soon sees the death notebook as a way to reform society's ills by killing criminals and undesirables to create world without crime. Once the police discover that a mysterious serial killer is targeting criminals, they bring in the worlds greatest detective, L, to find and capture this serial killer. This begins a epic battle of witts between Light and L.
This classic anime is a lot darker than anything else on the list but, it's definitely worth mentioning. It was one of the earlier animes I watched and I'm still a fan to this day. It falls mostly into the categories of thriller, supernatural, mystery, horror and crime drama. It is also another one that I'd strongly recommend the English dub over the subbed version. So, if you want to take little walk on the anime dark side, this is a good place to start.
Tumblr media
Yuri On Ice:
After a disastrous performance and coming in last place at the Grand Prix, ice skater Yuri Katsuki is thinking about retiring. That is until his skating idol and living legend Victor Nikiforov shows up to his home offering to be his coach. Now, with Victor's help Yuri works to rebuild his career and fight his way to a gold medal at the Grand Prix Final.
Yuri On Ice is my all time favorite anime so, of course it's going to make the list. So much about the struggles and perseverance of the characters in this sports anime is inspiring. Then, when you add in a little romance, flashy skating routines to a great original soundtrack and the drama of competition, everything about this show gets a gold medal.
Tumblr media
Free!-Iwatobi Swim Club:
Haruka Nanase has always had a strong connection to the water and a passion for swimming. As he starts high school, Haruka is reunited with childhood friends from a youth swim team, Nagisa Hazuki and Makoto Tachibana. The three decide to start a school swim team. Now, they must recruit a fourth member and train to be able compete in their first swim meet. Watch to see these guys bond as a team and friends and as they pursue their goal to compete at Nationals.
There are a lot of great sports anime out there but, this one is a good one to start with. Free! exemplifies so many standard tropes within this genre and does in an engaging way with an easy to understand sport. There are multiple seasons and movies for this series but, the first season, Free! -Iwatobi Swim Club, is satisfying enough as a stand alone.
Tumblr media
My Roommate is a Cat:
Subaru Mikazuki, an introvert writer with social anxiety, adopts a stray cat after a chance encounter. Together they both learn they are not as alone as each of them believed.
This slice of life anime is sooooo relatable, cute and funny. If you're looking for something that's low key and will make you feel all warm inside, than this is the show you should start with.
Tumblr media
Here are some honorable mention animes to also consider: Toradora, ReLife, Princess Jellyfish (I just love this show and think everyone should watch it), Black Butler (if you're willing to sort out the correct viewing order it can be worth it), the classic Avatar: The Last Airbender (yeah, yeah, yeah is it anime or isn't, doesn't matter it's a great gateway) and Kakuriyo- Bed and Breakfast for Spirits
So here are some of my top favorite anime for beginners recommendations. A nice mix of classic standards and a few newer shows that really show off specific genres. These are just my opinions, I'm sure there are many other animes that should probably make this list. As always, if anyone wants to add to this list or make some different suggestions please feel welcome to add your own favorites in the comments or as a reblog. Thank you Nonny for the ask and I hope you find this list helpful.

Thank you for requesting @otome-land 😘😘😘💕💕💕💕💕
IkeSen Lords x Pokemon
Nobunaga
First of all, he will name 6 of his pokemon with the name of his vassals, and MC.
The possibility for him to choose anything related to them is high. Nah. Knowing him he will make it possible.
Like.. Having Mankey (Hideyoshi), Dragonite (Masamune), Ninetales (Mitsuhide), Jigglypuff (Ieyasu) and Psyduck (Mitsunari).
And Torchic (MC).
"EXCUSE ME??" - MC
"It's adorable. Besides. It is a fire pokemon like you, my fireball. As I couldn't find pokemon based on lucky charm."
Also, named his rival as "Tiger Wannabe".
Favorite Pokemon - Ho-oh. Reason: Majestic and Legendary.
Masamune: Is it because you always say the word "Hooh?"
*Is jabbed hard on his waist by Hideyoshi*
Hideyoshi
Obviously will do a shopping spree on potions, defense items, power-up items, particularly on those things to take care of his pokemon's well being.
Gasp dramatically when his Pokemon's HP is less than 30%.
+Heavy breathing when they are poisoned / cursed / paralyzed / put on sleep powder.
"MY BABIES!"
Complains a lot about the main character's age.
"What kind of game that allows 10 year old children goes for his adventure A L O N E??"
Favorite Pokemon: Arcanine. Why?
Mitsuhide: LOYAL because he is a dog? Pfft-
"....*groans*"
Masamune
Relate himself to Lance.
Cause... Dragon Pokemon.
Name his rival "Ghey". Because "G*y" is inappropriate and he is lectured by Hideyoshi about names.
"Will you name your son like that?? Will you?? MC will cry!!"
"Psssh it's just a game~~"
"It's just a game?? Then is dating and marrying and having child with MC is a game to you??"
How did this escalated like that-- anyway-
Favorite Pokemon: Rapidash.
He really wish it exists so he can go for a Formula 1 riding. Horse version.
Mitsuhide
Was grinning the entire time of playing until Hideyoshi assume he uses hack in it.
"My my how silly of you, I am playing fair and square."
"Then care to explain WHY your pokemon is level 100???"
"I wonder. I don't understand modern things ¯\_(ツ)_/¯."
Yeah right.
His team is nothing but those of ghost pokemon, dark pokemon, and psychic pokemon a.k.a the pokemon that puts misery on their opponent.
His favorite would be Ninetails. Cause... Fox.
Ieyasu: I thought your favorite is Gengar. The grin is the same 😒.
Hideyoshi: Did you just name your rival as "Castle Hen"--
Ieyasu
Psssh.
He won't play this childlike game.
Also Ieyasu: His team are of those cute looking pokemon.
Instantly heal his Pokemon just like Hideyoshi.
"It's not that I care or anything-- they must stay strong in order to win. Hmf."
Have this certain happiness whenever he win against a magikarp with 1 hit-k.o.
*Points at Magikarp and show it to Mitsunari* "You."
Milotic is his favorite. He relate Milotic to his past of where its first evolve is weak and shunned, then grow into stronger pokemon once it evolved.
Meanwhile, Masamune: I see Seadra or Jigglypuff in you when you are angry though. HEH.
Ieyasu: ಠ_ಠ I hate you.
Mitsunari
The one who take his sweet time to grow his Pokemon.
Most probably need a month to finish it as he will read those walkthrough and tips and storyline behind each Pokemon to understand it better.
Also one of those who named his Pokemon after his fellow vassals, but those Pokemon will be a majestic and stronger ones.
Oh our dear angel (´;д;`).
Anyway-
Despite taking his time to play the game, he is always ranked no.1 thanks to his tactics and planning. There's no single loss in each of his battles.
His favorite Pokemon is Skitty. "Because I want Neko-san to be my pet, even in this world (❁´◡`❁)."
MC: HNNGGGHHH MY KOKORO.
Then Ieyasu: I don't understand why Psyduck is not your favorite. That is your twin, do you know that?
Mitsunari: But I don't have any siblings, Ieyasu-sama (´・д・`).
Kenshin
"......*glares*"
Shingen: There he goes again, glaring into his game as if he is the one who is battling someone.
Yukimura: Nah. If he does, he will stab them and become a Pokemon Master in 3 days.
"...Be quiet or I will Dragon Rage you both (눈‸눈)."
Sasuke peeks to Kenshin's favorite Pokemon, Kingdra. "I see that you are fond of this Pokemon, Kenshin-sama. Is it because you have the same color (Blue and Yellow)?"
"Hm. He is a majestic water and dragon type. And he kills in just one attack. Just like me."
Sasuke: Please refrain the word 'Kill'. That game is not rated R-18 you know.
Shingen: Kingdra? I thought you are a beedrill who likes to stab people-- *stabbed* H E Y
Shingen
Indifferent face to male NPC, and suddenly sparkles when he is met with female NPC.
"Ah, yes, Nurse Joy. Please heal my Pokemon as your name brings my heart with joy 😏😏✨✨✨✨."
Yukimura: Shingen-sama. If that is a pun, I want to tell you that I wish to reverse time so I could get out from this room.
Also Yukimura: Did you just put my name for your Piplup just because I'm Tsundere??
Sasuke: He didn't even deny he is a Tsundere.
"Now now Yuki, allow me to focus on capturing my favorite Pokemon. Ah, here comes Entei..! He is very charismatic, just like me 😏😏😏."
Kenshin: *Casually* I was confident you are like Jynx.
Yukimura
"Tsk. This Team Rocket is annoying. Why did they even choose that kind of name in the first place--"
Sasuke: Prepare for trouble, bro.
"...Sasuke stop."
Sasuke: And make it double, bro.
"Sasuke, we have discussed about this."
Sasuke: To protect the world from devastation--
"Sasuke, for the 157th time, STOP OAO! My Pokemon passed out AGAIN!"
Sasuke: ......
"....😒😒😒"
MC: *Skips into the room* Team rocket blast off the speed of light ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ!
Sasuke: Surrender now or prepare to fight (/OAO)/!
Both: Meowth! That's right ٩( ᐛ )( ᐖ )۶!
"...If only Moltres is here, I've already burn both of you like those chestnut buns ʕʘ̅͜ʘ̅ʔ.
Sasuke
+Also the type to name his Pokemon after his lord, bff, gf, and most importantly... Ieyasu.
...And it was Jigglypuff. Except the name is Ieyasupuff.
Kinda freeze when he have to battle NPC that has butterfrees. Poor Sasuke.
He have this habit of calling Pokemon with the names of people that has the same features too.
*Encounters Sylveon* "Oh. It's Yoshimoto-san." *Encounters Sharpedo* "*Gasp* Oh wait, it's just Motonari-san."
*Fights with Beedrill* "Kenshin-sama please don't poison sting me, I'm out of antidotes-- you just did. *sigh* As expected of you. No mercy indeed."
MC: Who is your favorite Pokemon, Sasuke?
"Hmm.. Staryu."
MC: Ah! I know! It can heal his own HP right? How convenient--
"Because he sounds like Ultraman and acts like Ultraman when it is injured. You know, the red thing on its center?"
MC: Ah.. Haaah. I see (´・w・`).

Uh I don't really know where else to go for this and I know you answer asks like this a lot and you be always got something good to say so maybe you can help me? I'm trying to sort through lots of feelings on my own since I can't get a gender therapist (my mother actually recommend medicalized conversion therapy instead when I tried to come out to her so, so much for her loving her kids no matter what, right? I hope she comes around but I'm not in a position to apply force to our relationship right now)
And although I'm not like 100% male and I'm more close to enby (but with he/him pronouns) it's still an odd concept to know that people will view me one way based on exactly how I present and I'm not allowed to talk about it without it being "whining" or nonsense complaining... Because if I'm a man, or closely enough one to be precieved as one, then what right do I have to complain? I'm sure you've seen the type of conversations
I can do a lot of things now that I can't do if I'm precieved as male? Like for example women can go to the park and eat lunch and nobody bats an eye but if I a guy does it it's weird because there's kids around, ya know? It's this weird double edge sword that if I decide to go on T I'm both gaining and losing privilege and people won't take that into consideration, because people are still hung up on viewing oppression like Pokemon stats
Also I don't necessarily hate men or think men are evil or anything, but I know other people do that and other people are scared of men- and like I get it if I see some weird dude loitering around I'm locking the car too, but I don't want to be the reason a woman has to cross the street? Or the reason someone has to worry about going home late?
And don't get me wrong, I know I'm a good person, but I know as well other people don't know that... I know what checking over your shoulder on a walk is like, and I don't want to have to be the reason someone does that?
So it leaves me feeling like not only is there so much to learn, but also people are just going to hate me for who I am going to become if I go through medical transition? Like I get it, not everyone is going to like me, but I don't want people to be afraid of me?
But also if I do go on T I have absolutely 0 basis for what I might look like or how it will change me and that's a scary aspect as well, because I can think of a lot of guys I'd be happy to look like or whatever but I can think of a lot more I would be unhappy to look like and you can't pick and choose genetic reactions.. And I know the idea is all about becoming more "you" rather than the perfect version of yourself you wish you could be, but it's still the point... Is it better to live with the familiar hurt of this body and my dislikes? Or should I try essentially a new one and run the risk of hating it more in some ways?
There's like 2 central ideas here, and the one idea has a lot of little ideas coming off of it, but I know at least the first issue I presented you'll understand... The second one is a little more up in the air since appearance is such a personal thing, but I think it's not an unheard of concept... So hopefully all of that makes sense and maybe you've got some decent advice or can just help me make a little more sense to myself?
Oh boy, you’re so valid. A lot of this is very familiar, and I know you’re not alone in it at all.
I’m gonna try to organize some points here, cause I think you brought up a lot of things.
“I don’t know if I want to be perceived as a man, cause enby”
You’re right that folks are likely going to see you as a man after a certain point. It’s hard to find a middle ground where you ping as neither to the average cis person, and it’s hard to control that enough for it to be consistent.
My advice, honestly, is to make choices more based on your comfort than the highly subjective and ever-shifting concept of “passing”. I know it sucks to be perceived as something you aren’t, but your wants are probably the best starting point in the decision-making process.
“I’m afraid I won’t be able to do the things I can do now if I’m perceived as a man”
This is true of transitioning in general, tbh! You will also likely be able to do things you couldn’t do before; I know folks have talked about feeling safer walking around at night, and being listened to more often by other men, once they begin to pass as men.
I also struggle with this, as a future teacher; the treatment of men in childcare is very, very different, and very stigmatized compared to female counterparts. But that, to me, is worth it. I’m willing to deal with the problems other people place on me, if it means I get to finally feel at home in my own body.
“I’m afraid of causing women distress by existing near them as a man”
Look, this is frankly just not your responsibility. Looking like a man is not an act of misogyny. Looking like a man does not make you “the reason” women do or feel anything. Those reactions are their own, and you are not responsible for mitigating them- particularly if that mitigation involves you, a trans person, forgoing transition for other people’s comfort.
You are responsible for trying to be a good person, making good decisions, and for not being misogynistic. Not the assumptions women make about you based on your appearance.
“I’m afraid I might not like how I look after I transition”
I know I agonized a lot over this, certain that I would ultimately dislike how I looked if it wasn’t up to a certain standard. I imagined my post-transition self as a stranger; someone I’d have to meet and grow to accept as myself. Even scarier was that I couldn’t opt out if I didn’t like the stranger- I’d be stuck with him forever after I made that one big decision.
But... it’s not really like that, in practice. I’m me, every single step of the way, and I have only ever felt more and more like myself as I go through this process. I feel like pre-transition me was the stranger, and the person I’m becoming now is more familiar to me than anyone I’ve ever been before.
I know that’s not an easy thing to understand or relate to from a pre-transition standpoint, but what I want you to understand is this: if you’re making this decision for the right reasons, you’re gonna be okay. If you’re pursuing your own happiness, comfort in your body, the person you want to be and the life you want to live, you’re gonna be okay.
And if you realize it was a mistake, at some point, you can undo that decision again. It’s fluid; you’re not gonna be trapped in one body forever. Transition is about agency. Trust yourself now to know what you want, and trust your future self to keep knowing what you want.

6 Unpopular Gaming Opinions
I have a lot of unpopular opinions, and if you follow me on twitter, you might have seen a few recently. However, a simple tweet here and there hardly covers my opinions in gaming that might not sit well with people in this space. I know a lot of people get mad over differing opinions these days, but I have more unpopular than popular opinions, and I think I’d like to talk about a few.
6. If you’re mad about Pokemon games, you’re wrong
Yeah, I’m getting into it right away, and again if you follow me on twitter, you might have seen this once or twice recently, but getting mad about Pokemon to me, always seems foolish. Pokemon as a series has always been what we call a double A experience. Not quite an indie, but clearly not a AAA experience either. In other words, Pokemon is simple, and the crazy amount of Dexit hate, and other controversies about Sword and Shield, the most recent releases in the series are in my eyes, just plain stupid. It’d be one thing to be mad about something not being done if developers were in a similar situation as say, CDPR devs, but to our knowledge that’s not the case. Pokemon, fun as it is, isn’t that serious.
5. Western RPG’s are inferior to JRPG’s by default
There’s a simple reason for this. Games made with the western audience in mind, tend to have the same major flaw that a majority of western games do, they don’t explore the emotions of their male characters, espeically if the lead in a male character, half as well as Japanese RPG’s do. On the one hand, I get it, people still talk about FFXIII like the characters are bad, despite their “major flaws” in many people’s view in the west, simply being that they express their emotions openly. It’s a major problem in Western RPG’s though that the main character if male doesn’t show emotions, and that male characters that do, are seen as weak in the games themselves. This leaves female roles to carry all the emotional weight, which in turn pushes the male power fantasy too far in my opinion, and leaves the main characters boring. Many a western gaming fan would pick Geralt of Rivia as one of the best characters ever made, and while he does occasionally get to show some emotion, my pick would easily be more along the lines of Sora from Kingdom Hearts, or Rean Schwarzar from Trails of Cold Steel, because their emotions makes them more relatable and endearing.
4. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is better than Breath of the Wild
I’m of the opinion as it is, that Breath of the Wild is an overrated game. The climbing mechanics are frustrating, breaking weapons is annoying, and for all the world building and lore that Zelda has as a series, the story is a mess and can easily be told out of order. While Age of Calamity does tell an arguably less emotional story as characters fates are altered from Breath of the Wild, it also tells a more engaging one and characters being on screen longer than they were in the Breath of the Wild, also gives them more time to develop, and be characters we should care about. The Warriors format itself is pretty enjoyable as is, but combined with a story I was more invested in, characters I got to know better than Breath of the Wild ever tried to make them known, and just an overall superior representation of this version of Hyrule, it was simply just a better experience. I can only hope Breath of the Wild 2, ends up having that much story and that much fun gameplay to offer.
3. The Grand Theft Auto series, is kind of garbage
Now I’m really digging deep. The question is whether or not I’m just going off the rails, or digging my own grave. But seriously, these games are boring. The idea was novel at first when we finally San Andreas, be the bad guy, do whatever you want, all that. Sounds good, and it was kind of fun, but the problem is, GTA hasn’t really ever evolved past that. Sure it starts to look better, but the characters in it are stupid, annoying, and bland, games like GTA V don’t know when to end their main campaign, the series never really took the time to develop the few interesting characters it does have, like Franklin, because they just have to fall into the narrative of crime is good, and it’s just not a fun series because the controls aren’t great. You could do worse, sure, but you can also do better, and it doesn’t feel like Rockstar really wants to try. I’m sorry but the GTA games, are just boring and uninteresting after their novelty wears off.
2. Final Fantasy VII is just, okay, the remake is also pretty mid
To me personally, Final Fantasy VII is one of those games that really survives on nostalgia, and little else besides. Like, it’s a fine game, passable in the world of Final Fantasy as a whole, but some of it’s plots are not well handled or don’t seem to go anywhere, the ending kind of makes everything you do past a certain point completely moot, and Cloud’s pride is the cause potentially thousands of dead people because he didn’t back away when he knew he should have. Sadly, the remake doesn’t do much better. While it does give more detail to the story, and takes better care to make it make sense, it also is still pretty much the same story, and that’s boring to me. I’ve played this game, I know how it ends, (though possibly not in the remake) it just doesn’t grab me like it seems to have done for so many people. Even saying that, I still like the game a lot, because it’s Final Fantasy, and the series will always mean a lot to me, even the worst of it, but Final Fantasy VII, for me, is just okay, and the remake telling pretty much the same story again, doesn’t endear it to me.
1. The Last of us Part II, is fantastic
Yeah, something a little more recent to spice up this wild list, why not. The Last of Us Part II, is simply a fantastic game, with a well told story, fantastic characters, and great pacing. It doesn’t shy away from problems in our current society like sexual identity, it’s open to the fact that people are different than each other in ways that many people aren’t comfortable with, and it does it’s part to make open-minded people uncomfortable, by having them play as the woman that killed Joel. A lot of people who hate this game, seemingly can’t get past the fact that it does these things, and look at the game as it’s face value, which is sad, because if you’re willing to challenge yourself, you might find an amazing experience here. Yes, the gameplay isn’t the best, but just like the first game, the story is something far more in depth than anyone could have prepared for. It’s a masterful story, and a great send-off to Naughty Dog, who I personally cannot see myself supporting unless they change the way they develop games. Still, I admire what’s here, and what the developers did with what they were given.
And there’s some of my unpopular opinions, do you have any of your own? Let me know in the notes below, and share this if you feel so inclined. If you want to see more of my unpopular opinions, feel free to follow me on twitter @RepentantSky, since that came up twice, and have an excellent day.
