rewatching supernatural and i just realised that in season one every episode had a deeper meaning. like some lesson you could learn from it besides the main plot we followed.
for example 1x14 was mainly about sams powers focusing on the abilities he has and the murder of his mum and jess. but it was also about family stability (dean being the only reason sam didn't turn out the same as max) and abuse and about the question what abuse is (max being abused by his dad and uncle but kinda also his step-mom because she never helped him even though she knew what was happening). it was about breaking the vicious circle that abuse is ('old habits die hard I guess').
or 1x17. it was about the relationship between sam and dean (the simple joy of teasing your loved ones with pranks which kinda escalated at some point). it was about letting professionals handel things (the first time the ghostfacers interrupt one of sam and deans investigations), but it was also about the power of believing in something (mordecai only existing because people believed in him), it was about the hurt a belive can cause (a girl getting killed because the myth changed).
this is not a hot take I guess most people knew this from the start, but it just occurred to me and I wanted to share.

Dream continually alluding to giving Hob a 'ride' next time they're together. Hob prepares himself for sexy times ahead! Then Dream turns up prancing about like the prize eldritch pony he is. To which Hob would probably greet with... 'Going to be honest here, not quite what I was imagining, but... F**K yeah! Let's do this thing!
Death, Hob, the Corinthian... Whoever tickles your fancy. Swooping into battle on Night Mare like something out of a William Blake painting.
Dream and Hob in the ultimate 'I need to get to work now' Mexican stand off, travel debate. Dream won't get in the car, Hob abjectly refuses to travel by sand...Half an hour later..."It may be that fifth southern comfort I had last night. But is that Professor Gadling... On a horse?!!"
Dream letting someone braid flowers/ribbons into his mane and then rocking luscious 1689 locks to keep them in when he transforms back to his regular form.
Dream and Hob entering a reinactment jousting tournament together for the sh*ts and giggles. 😆

This is Tanzanite Foresight from the Stone Dragon series, which I finished in 2018.
This was a fun and slightly silly piece. The original design had circular shapes around the horn that were meant to read as "unicorn power" or somesuch, but they ended up looking like bubbles. So I said, sure, let's just run with that. MOAR BUBBLES! And lo, bubbles everywhere.
The dragon was done with ink, watercolor, Prismacolor pencil, and silver paint pen. There are tiny shiny bits in the middle of each diamond that are hard to see here. There's a Fuze-Glass bauble by the front knees.
The background... whoooeee... The background is scrapbook paper, and layered onto that is a conglomeration (perhaps even a congeries) of holographic film, sequins, acrylic and glass "raindrops", glass tiles, "black goldstone" (which is regular goldstone with a different chemical treatment during manufacture), shell beads, and a whole lotta shiny bits. In the upper right corner is a labradorite stone. It came out green in the scan, but when the light hits it the schiller matches the overall color scheme perfectly.
