6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I don't write angst endings. I need all my fics to end happy lol.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? All my fics have a happy ending, but if I had to choose I think I'd pick "Marry Me", just because it's the angstiest fic that I've finished so the ending feels really happy to me. But when I finally end "In The Pocket" I think that one will take the cake.

When pics of Jake kissing a man in a club are about to get leaked by a tabloid, jake’s manager, that just so happens to be Mav, talks to the man in the picture, that just so happens to be his godson Bradley, and asks if he would pretend to be Jake’s boyfriend because it would make it easier for him to come out if he’s in a relationship. There’s a lot more to it, the story also deals with homophobia from parents, feelings of not being lovable and found family. It’s soo good and I’ll recommend it to anyone that’s into hangster

First off I wanted to say that I love your fics so much. I’m so happy to read your amazing stories. I really enjoyed reading the Romione fic where they meet at the Super Bowl party. It was a unique way to bring a connection with the sport you enjoy and the couple we love to read about. Plus, I can totally see Ron explaining the statistics and love he has for the sport to Hermione.

Second, do you have any advice on a fanfic writer that is trying to overcome shyness and upload Romione fics to either tumblr or A03? I have a few WIPs and they are all different in their own ways ( fake dating, AU, DH, 6th year, etc), and I’m either a few chapters deep or almost finished with writing the one shot; however I always get stuck on what I believe is the final step in the writing process, for me it’s being able to upload my work.

I always get close to hitting the upload button but I’m always second guessing my talent. I guess that I can relate with Ron when it comes to comparing my abilities with others. I’ve read lots of fics and I always think that my writing won’t measure up to some of the best writers (imo) that write about Ron and Hermione. I try my best to ignore that self doubt that I have but sometimes it’s difficult to look over.

Is there any tips for someone like me?

Thank you for the sweet words! I am so happy Third and Five resonated with so many people. My NFL/Packers fandom is a huge part of my life (I’ve been procrastinating on a fest fic I need to write because I’ve been absorbed in free agency and trade discussion on Twitter) and I was so excited to get to share it with the Romione/HP fandom. Also, the best sports dudes are the ones that 1. don’t patronize non sports loving women in their explanations and 2. don’t act like it’s crazy for a woman to like sports so it was fun to demonstrate a little of that in Ron and the Weasleys.

As for the second thing… I took a very long fanfic writing break. Like basically over a decade. I was really terrified to publish Living Legend. Honestly, one night, I just forced myself to do it. I had read it so many times and made so many little tweaks… I knew it was put up or shut up.

You mentioned how great some stuff is. I think that if you looked at my work or the work of others’ and read the first thing they published followed by the most recent, you would see a difference in quality. I’ve improved on my dialogue tags a lot thanks to my amazing beta. I still think my first things are good but I see how they could have been better.

The worst thing that will happen is you publish it and no one reads it. But that’s what’s happening now!

Also, get a beta! I’m happy to help if you would like. The Romione Discord has lots of willing helpers. The first time I was in the fandom (mid-aughts), there were so many good fic ideas that didn’t find an audience because they didn’t use a beta to clean it up and make it reader friendly. Plus, if you find the right betas, they can be your biggest hype people!
