Let's talk about the Daleks

I love the Daleks. Really. But I'm getting really bored of the 2005 bronze Daleks

One of the awesome things about the Daleks in the classic series was they were constantly getting minor upgrades to remain the superior species. But aside from a few attempts here and there, NuWho Daleks have stayed the same for almost 20 years now. The New Paradigm Daleks were a great attempt to upgrade them, they just had a few minor flaws

I think everyone agrees they're too colorful. But imagine if these Daleks were all black or black with silver accents. They'd look awesome. They're bigger than the standard Daleks, they're more heavily armored, their eye stocks are menacing. They look like unstoppable tanks. But BBC heard people critique the colors and they course corrected too much. Instead of fixing the element people didn't like, they stopped using them completely and refused to see the Daleks redesigned ever again for more than 1 or 2 quick throw away episodes.

I'm not as big a fan of the Revolution Dalek design, I think they look a bit too frail and earthly, but I appreciate they tried something new. The color scheme on them is beautiful, take this paint job and put it on the New Paradigm Daleks and you'd have a 10/10 design. I also really like the reimagining of the sucker as this closed claw. It gives the same aesthetic but makes it look more intimidating

All of this to say, I appreciate the Bronze Daleks for what they are and for bringing the Daleks into the 21st century, but I think they've overstayed their welcome and it's time for a change

Money tree, part II

well, turns out that scarcity/lack programming ran a little deeper than expected - like basement subconscious mind level. to summarize, my limiting beliefs regarding money can be traced far into the past...too far back to mention here.

suffice it to say, it was part of a larger sentence for sins committed long ago.

what was that line again, Neil? "I will be the judge...& the jury."

accordingly, my ego's financial worthlessness script crippled me for years - i didn't have any savings, & barely made ends meet up until recently.

now that i've finally removed a majority of said limiting belief engrams, we're experiencing Reagan-era inflation plus probably headed for (yet another) recession.

so, impending national economic catastrophe aside, it's time to start manifesting some bona fide cash flow because i actually am worthy of financial prosperity.

Teach don't Preach

1) “Happiness is the joy that comes from positive activity.

Make changes from inspiration not desperation.

We all need long term powerful goals to get us past the short-term obstacles.” (Jim Rohn)

JR: Some people may shy away from the words “goals” and “purpose” since, in today’s world, they are often directed towards describing success, becoming popular, or striking it rich—aims towards which many are either ill-equipped for or not predisposed towards. In this case, however, long term goals can indicate anything which mobilizes you towards what you truly believe in, and affect a firmly grounded happiness and fulfillment. Only you can determine that. When you find that purpose which is uplifting to you, reaching for it is a joy (even with the struggles it entails) and you create the energy needed to get around the roadblocks along the way.

PP: Without thinking of others’ expectations, contemplate one long-term goal you’d like to move towards, something that fills you with happiness in just considering it.

PA: A long-term goal of mine has been to develop a new paradigm of living, write about it, live it out, and inspire others to do so as well. Sitting with inspirational writers of new and old, gathering together their ideas and mixing them up with my own, and putting them together in a coherent form that excites others—what a joy! My primary obstacle is not living out the good things I learn—like becoming more humane (vegetarian and refusing all goods made by slaves). How important it is to enjoy the good things in life, making sure not to harm others in the process or, better yet, uplifting others while experiencing earthly delights.
