LOL what if someone comes in and calls me performative for reblogging that last post because it has an image description in it 😂😂😂😂COULD YOU IMAGINE
#you would HAVE to be a few plums short of a fruit pie if someone did that after the day I’ve had#LMFAO LMFAO IT WOULD BE SO FUNNY THO#but I don’t mind that bc the person who added it also included something worthwhile in addition to the post#like to me that shows the person was engaged enough with it to formulate an opinion and response to the original post#also again. why is the concept of manners so hard#like much how you don’t show up to an event empty handed you also should either ask#or give a little compliment to the person you’re adding a description on to like#when it’s just out of the blue it can seem a little unsolicited regardless of whether the intent#is to aid other people or not#like what so asking for consent only counts if it’s not about art??#i know what it is. it’s like reposting art without asking#like if you really want to add something on even a little ‘hey hope it’s cool I added this’ in the tags would be great#actually it’s really just called basic fucking manners and being polite#like you have to remember that you’re basically adding onto a strangers post#i don’t know you like that!#it’s fine if any given person has too small an understanding to get what I’m saying#i never said I had a problem with people adding descriptions on to my work#it saves me the fucking time#but I’m an artist that’s my creation that’s a piece of me#I’ve never called out anyone who’s added one into mg posts#like I get over it eventually it’s just the initial feeling of ‘oh a comment!!’ and then it’s NOT

Hello again. So thanks to the community I was noticed and contacted by TESO team. Thank you all ppl, really, I am a small artist and my chance to be noticed was little without your reposts and reaction.
The team assures that there was a mistake and they never wanted to use fanarts without permission.
Tumblr media
We exchanged quite friendly messages, the contents of which I do not want to disclose yet. Now I am waiting for a second answer. It is now the Easter holidays and an answer cannot be received quickly. Let's be patient and wait. ...See the whole post to discover some more funny details. ↓
...
Well... I think particular employee just did their job… BAD. This is just my guess, I don't have an official comment.
Some indirect evidence of a dishonest work (lack of verification?) is that that set of tattoos is called "Mercymothers". The Merciful Mother is Almalexia, and the tattoos are clearly depicting Sotha Sil. You should be completely out of lore to do that… or it's a deeplore that I am too silly to understand )) (don't think so, using Occam's Razor)
...
Whatever it was, that dude (if so) did their job badly twice. Here are paired face tattoos (Mersymother's Face Art) in addition to body tattoos.
Tumblr media
See the ponytail above the heart? And here it is on the face. So the whole set is cut from my picture. Alas.
Tumblr media
This would not be evident if we did not know the history of the first picture.
Tumblr media
I want to point out that I am not throwing accusations. Shit happenes even in big companies, now we need to understand who is to blame and what to do.
Any such things should be dealt with as correctly as possible. I was surprised when someone called me toxic in the comments for my first reaction. How else should I have reacted? Be silently happy?
...
And about copyrights.
I drew a fanart and I didn't monetize it, it's not forbidden as I konw :) But now company: 1. took it without asking me 2. sells it in the crownstore for real money.
All rights to the scrolls lore belong to the company! But without the consent of the artist, even fanart cannot be used. So now we need to figure out a solution that satisfies every side of the incident (I think). At the very least, I should be credited as an artist in the credits of a new chapter or such place.
...
Love you all and still love Scrolls universe, eheh.

This is your casual but very pointed reminder - with the potential of Twitter going down floating around in the air - that reposting people's artwork without their explicit permission is unacceptable.
Yes, even if the account with all their art has been deleted.
Yes, even if you really liked it.
Yes, even if you think they wouldn't care.
Yes, even if you 'just want to share.'
Artists are the ones that decide where their art ends up. If the artist wants to get a Tumblr and repost their artwork here, that's their choice. If they choose never to post those old works again, that's also their choice.
YOU SHOULD NOT MAKE THAT CHOICE FOR THEM.
People choose to delete their art, or choose where that art is or isn't posted, for all kinds of reasons. If you want to save artwork then save it for yourself, share it with friends in private chats. Do not repost it on Tumblr.
Do not repost people's artwork without explicit consent. Period.

there is so much art reposting (and subsequent reposted art sharing) in this fandom. Is that a topic that fell off the face of the earth in the late 2010s and no one took the time to explain to you why and how you shouldn't do it?
First, reposting art means saving or copying the art to create a new post and/or putting it on another platform yourself. On tumblr, reblogging (the two arrows 🔄) is not reposting, as the original poster is still directly linked to it.
Reposting art without asking the artist's permission is rude more often than not. Many artists even have a "do not repost" warning on their page.
Why is this rude? There are a vast range of reasons, and the first one is always because the artist, a person, expressed a wish, and that's on you to respect it.
Other reasons include, for example, fanartists wanting to see the fandom's feedback and be inspired to continue to share (shaking hands with the fanfic writers), artists needing the word-of-mouth advertising as they depend on commissions and/or independent shops income for living, and just generally wanting to keep their own stuff close.
As fellow fans and/or art enjoyers, not having clear credit and link back to the artist is also sad and frustrating. What if we wanted to see more? What if there was a whole collection of similar things and we'll never know?
I know you want to share the cute art you saw elsewhere specifically because you liked it, and it comes from a place of love. I get that. You could share it with your friends behind closed door (ex: private discord server), or post a link to the art and the artist instead of posting the piece on its own.
On a case-by-case basis, you can ask an artist if you can repost their art. Some will allow it under certain conditions! Your responsibility is to respect their wishes. That is a person sharing their creation. Be nice.
"credit to the artist" is not credit.
"I don't know who made this, if anyone knows tell me" is not credit.
"this was from pinterest" is not credit. (<- pinterest is 90% repost, not a source at all)
Posting art that isn't yours is so rude and sharing reposted art just as much.
This is frustrating. Stop reposting art without asking, and especially stop reposting art without credit. And stop sharing reposted art where clear consent wasn't given by the original artist.

Hi Nawy!!! I was wondering if you had a tiktok, I saw some posts with your art there and no credits :((( was hoping I could tag you in them so they know you are the artist
Sorry for asking because of such a bummer reason
I've been very clear in not wanting my art reposted freely and I've gone over why it's very rude to repost/reupload other people's creations without their consent MULTIPLE times, I know most who do this are simply unaware of the harm, yet I keep getting messages about the same person uploading all of my art (among many others', including art watermarked "do not repost") on their tiktok account anyway.
If I wanted tiktok fame I'd make a tiktok account and I'd tell all of you. I haven't touched tiktok for my own reasons and I'd very much appreciate some basic respect in not putting other people's creations on random platforms they have not consented for? Especially in the fucking "AI art" age with all the scraping and the selling of data? Just a fucking idea?
I've seen an uptick in people calling them out on reposts of my art and they started defending themselves by saying they give credit in the collection's name (wow, credit you won't see unless you go out of your way!) and that since they don't make money off it "it's fine". Glad to know independent artists on the internet and giant corporations are the same to you. No, scratch that, giant corporations would have sent you a cease and desist for reuploading their entire catalogue yourself.
Take care of small creators and don't conflate legality with decency. Some people are fine with reposts under certains conditions, some never are. Not respecting boundaries is how you lose beloved fanwork creators. We've seen it just recently. I've been seeing it for over a decade. Please keep that in mind.

I am not certain yet that I want to call out specific blogs (last time I did that it got WEIRD) but it has been a while since we've had a discussion about reposting art as a fandom, and someone asked me to comment :')
I've been in the fandom long enough to see art reposting cause plenty of problems, and I've also been a victim of it myself, so I hope I can help someone understand.
So, fanartists, right? You might not be aware if you're not an artist yourself, but a lot of artists dislike it when you take their work and post it somewhere else. Plenty will have something like "DO NOT REPOST" written right there on their page. Even if they don't, that does not mean that they allow reposts.
There are plenty of reasons why an artist might feel this way, but to name a few common reasons, it could be an issue of credit or publicity: imagine you put hours of work into a piece of art, but another account posts it and they're the one who gains interactions, followers, etc. Even if that account mentions you as the artist, people aren't necessarily going to seek out the original artist. They're probably going to interact with the repost that's right in front of them. Can you imagine that feeling? Like, "Why is this person building a social media presence based on my work, and the work of other artists?" Interactions aside, it's really frustrating when you put a ton of effort into something and you're not recognized for it.
To name another reason, an artist might only want their work to be published in one particular place. This is often the case for me too, actually; I only want my dialovers fanart on tumblr, and I never post it on my twitter account, because I don't want it there. Another medium but still relevant: I don't want my youtube videos exported to other sites because if a lot of people view those reposts, I lose money that I would've gotten if they had just watched my video. Maybe there's a certain type of user that you don't want your work to be exposed to, or maybe you just don't like a site and you don't want your work there. This is something an artist should be able to decide for themself, and it's not right for you to put their art in places they didn't consent to putting it.
It's a case-by-case basis, of course, because different artists have different feelings about it, but generally, you need to obtain permission from an artist before taking their work and publishing it yourself. You can just ask! It's totally normal to ask. Worst they can say is no. Plenty of artists do allow reposts, and if they say that they allow reposts, then go for it!! But if they don't have "reposting is ok" written anywhere, and if you didn't ask permission......then that's not okay. You need to respect artists a little more than that.
Because you know what artists do when they don't feel respected? When their boundaries are crossed, and people post their work without permission?? A lot of times, they delete their stuff, they move their work someplace else to try and evade reposters, and sometimes they stop drawing for a fandom altogether. If you've been in the dialovers fandom for a long time, this has absolutely happened multiple times, whether or not you were aware of it. If you know which repost acc we're discussing here, you might've seen some of their posts say something like "artist is no longer active." And it blows my mind, because I was there when they became inactive, and more than one of them because inactive because people reposted their art! So, besides being disrespectful, it also leads to less dialovers fanart.
But anyway, most of you reading this probably don't repost art, so the more useful thing I can tell you is that I hope you can support artists by interacting with them rather than repost accounts. If you see a repost acc and like the art you see, and if you want to see more of it, seek out the artist's original account instead.
unfollow art repost accounts. seek out and follow artists instead. they are out there. they are awesome. change da world… my final message. Goodb ye.

hi tamadachi ! hope everyone is doing well. i have a topic i just wanna make clear to all my friends, so i am going to make a quick informative and educational post to you all (o^∇^o) this is regarding ai art !! ai art is super harmful to actual artists and can actually permanently jeopardize their work !! ໒( ⇀ ‸ ↼ )७ a lot of people do not know that much about ai art, since it is soooo new ! so let’s take a look at a few reasons ai art can be so destructive !!
ai art is never original - it uses art that real artists have created, and feeds it into a large database.
when you see any ai generated art, it was created using the art of actual artists all across the internet ! more often than not, that art was taken from the original artist without their permission or consent. at that point, that is basically like reposting someone else’s art without crediting the source ! one of the worst harms that can be done to an aspiring artist is separating their work from their name. with ai art, that is happening way more often.
AI art generators use machine learning algorithms and deep neural networks to generate art. Large sets of already-made art are used to teach these algorithms how to find patterns and styles that can be used to make new art.
a lot of people are trying to profit off of ai-generated art.
this is directly affecting a lot of artists financially. i may only do art as a hobby, but many artists use art as their main source of income. when people create ai art and market it, it takes clients away from real artists.
read about real artists who have been directly affected by this here
it takes the attention away from an artist’s original work when you alter their art using ai.
even feeding a picture into an ai and maintaining the original prompt is still harmful. although it may seem cool to watch someone’s drawing get cleaned up or altered by an ai, this can hurt the original artist in many ways. once you feed an image into an ai, it has that data forever. so, now it can use that drawing for prompts in the future, which may aid individuals trying to profit off of ai-generated art (even if that was not your personal intention !!). not only that, but seeing morphed and repeatedly altered versions of their art can really hurt an artist’s psyche ! we already struggle with confidence and motivation just like any other content creator. seeing “better” versions of our drawings can really affect our already shaky self-esteem. think of it like body dysmorphia for artists. it is very real and definitely hurts us !!
alternatives to ai art !!
there are lots of ways to create your own avatars, images and designs even if you cannot draw them from scratch. picrew allows you to design characters from scratch, while still crediting the original artists. there are also many avatar creators, like monster girl maker, pastel girl, etc. which all use art from real artists and credits them accordingly. and, of course, the best way to support an artist you love is by commissioning them !!
hopefully this will help those of you who were not familiar with this concept, and we can continue keeping this platform a safe space for artists to share their content !! (*˙︶˙*)☆*° thank you for everyone who supports the artistic community, and for playing your part in uplifting artists everywhere !!!

you sound bitter bc the “art stealer” is getting more notes on posts than you. I know them irl. they also don’t claim the art as theirs, they’re just sharing it on this platform. the artwork they are posting is all over the internet, mainly Pinterest, without any indication who the artist is. they give credit when they know who the artist is. they literally changed the post to include credit as soon as you gave them the original artist’s instagram handle, despite you claiming that they did nothing.
Tumblr media
I am aware that I sound very bitter. I am allowed to. You're saying that I am not allowed to feel bad or bitter when I see someone steal, and get interactions on their stolen posts? And yes, in this case they have reached higher notes than most of mine. But when I called this out the first time, they didn't, the elmax art had just around 100 and this el one had 14 notes.
I have seen stolen art on the Byler tag before that got zero notes. ZERO. And that also made me want to call that person out. I didn't, but I still think about digging up that post and doing it. So I don't know what to tell you, art theft makes me mad every time, but yes, in this instance the amount of notes has a part in my actions. Because now it's not just about the op deleting the post, because that doesn't delete it from this platform completely. It will stay here as long as there are reblogs of it.
You're really trying to justify art theft? Art theft is never justified. Just because the art has been stolen several times already and is all over pinterest as you say, DOES NOT make it okay for more people to be spreading it around. I highly doubt any artist posts their art on pinterest, (my art has been posted there and it was terrible) so it is safe to assume that if you find art on pinterest it is already stolen.
And just like op you're trying to justify art theft by saying, they don't claim it as their own. They only wanted to share it to this platform, you say? And that isn't stealing? When it's still posted without the artist knowing or conseting? Interesting. Well, that's not cool. It's not right. It is not justified, and it's still stealing, no matter what you say.
And you also say there's no indication to who the artist is. (You're also using the exact wording as the op did in DMs. I'm not gonna say it but I'm thinking it) The elmax art had the artist handle right in the middle of it. You call that "no indication"?
Tumblr media
Also it took me about two minutes to figure out the original artists and to find the original posts. So it really is not that hard to find them. And if you can't, then don't post it. And even if you do, still don't repost other people's art because they aren't consenting to it. This is what the elmax art had in the description. Doesn't seem like your friend even checked out the artist after I told them who it is.
Tumblr media
And fine, I admit saying they did nothing is not completely true. I was going to bed and trying not to ramble in the tags of that post. I'm sorry that I spread misinformation like that. They did do something, they added the artist credit to the description. But as we already established, that artist doesn't allow reposts. And also, if you don't know how tumblr works editing the original post after there are reblogs, only edits the original post, not the reblogs. So now there are reblogs of that art with no credit floating around tumblr.
Honestly I know that reasoning with people who have stolen art never works. My art has been stolen on Instagram and for two years I have asked for it to be taken down(yes the repost has more likes then mine, I am allowed to feel bad about that). I just really wish it never happened in the first place but the world can't be that perfect now can it?

Say, what if MC asks to Jack if they can sleep n4k3d together when they´re in a time of need of intimacy because of wanting to move on a sentimental level (Ian and his phone calls), after days of hesitation while being on a relationship with him. Without going through s3x. I Think Jack would love it since he´s in need of love and intimacy, but i don´t know how it would play out since he´s also horny towards MC. I was thinking of something wholesome.
Actually, this sounds a lot like one of the modes in Sleepy Time Jack, the virtual body pillow. You can choose to sleep beside Jack while he’s fully clothed (save for his jacket and gloves) topless, or fully naked. He says really sweet and considerate things to help lull you to sleep.
Not gonna lie, it’s a pretty soothing experience. Definitely worth the $3 to sign up to the SnaccPop Studios patreon in my opinion.
For those newer to the fandom, Sauce basically took one of their most sensual drawings of Jack that they posted on their (now gone) public twitter and made a cozy little virtual experience around it. Though, admittedly, the original picture hinted at it being in the afterglow of a spicy experience considering Jack is dappled in sweat.
Tumblr media
Just look at that adoring face, so full of love. How soothing. Sauce really does fantastic artwork, don’t they? Full credit to them as always for their lovely art.
Oh, and just a quick reminder, don’t repost anything that’s posted privately on patreon. Support your local artists, folks!
Currently, the virtual body pillow has only suggestive content in some of the things he says with a hint of NSFW in that you can see a little bit of Jack below the belt, but overall it’s pretty wholesome. There’s no hints (yet) of it involving sex between Jack and MC, even if they’re both naked. It sounds a lot like the scenario you’ve described here.
By the way, there are plans for Sleepy Time Jack to have the option of NSFW and yandere modes in a future update, as well as a Patreon-exclusive “Jacktor” mode when it’s released.
Speaking of future updates, the demo for the main Sunny Day Jack game is going to have a new “softcore mode” which will give players the option of skipping sex in the narrative altogether, toning it down, or even having MC turn Jack down when he comes onto them. Consent is an important part of the game, which is one of the reasons why I love it.
Judging by his behavior in Sleepy Time Jack, and his overall personality, I think Jack could accept not having sex with MC despite being horny for them. He might be disappointed, but he wants them to be happy after all, since he loves them so much. It seems as though he’ll try his best to keep his horny thoughts under control so that he and his sunshine can cuddle innocently even while naked. Sure, his thoughts will no doubt go in spicy directions and his body will give that away, but he’ll be sure to apologize and do his best to calm down.
I think Jack would accept it if MC never wants to have sex with him. There are many ways to show someone you love them after all, and as long as his sunshine helps him feel secure that they love him and want to be with him forever, I’m sure he’ll be just fine using his hand instead when he needs to blow off a little steam.
What’s funny too is that for Sunshine in Hell, I plan on not having Alice (my version of the MC) and Jack immediately jump to sex even after getting together. It’s more of a slow burn between them, especially since Alice has already been burnt once before. I could see this scenario possibly happening in the fic.
Sex is a big deal to Alice. To her it’s an expression of deep trust, intimacy, and love. It seems like Jack feels the same way, only in his case it also provides an added sense of security that his sunshine really does love him and wants to be with him forever. I imagine that’s a big part of why the “no” route goes the way it does.
Jack is patient though. He waited months to finally hear his sunshine say she loves him. He can wait longer to make love to her, especially since Alice will do other ways to show her love for him in the meantime.
Besides, how can Jack not appreciate cuddle time with his sunshine? Especially when there’s nothing separating them anymore, not even their clothes.

serious request: pls do not repost fanart/fanworks
never. never ever, unless you get explicit permission from the artist.
when you see fanart not done by you and you want to share it with other people -- either through another post or by using it as a dp or whatever -- because you like it so much, the default action should be to ask around and first determine who the artist is. this is so you can talk to them and ask them permission to repost their art, and then when you do, credit them appropriately. there are artists who are ok with reposting, but you knowing this is a state caused by having already asked permission. do not assume that they will be ok with reposting. the "it's easier to apologize than to ask permission" route is frankly very assholey, especially when it comes to something that someone had worked hours over for. sometimes the work may even be commissions so the work wouldn't have been meant for you in the first place and was never for you to share.
i get that not everyone may know this norm, but it's one that's been followed since the early days of the internet. it's also the same rules we follow irl. if it's not yours, don't show it off without consent. it doesn't matter where you get the art; it's not yours. if the artist is unknown or you really can't find who it is, reposting it is still verboten. if you want to share it still at least do it in private.
i specify fanart because these are usually small-time artists who receive little to no compensation for their efforts apart from all the likes and reblogs. these are not van goghs or rembrandts or hirsts whose works are in museums or exhibits. these fanworks are shared with you and you are very welcome to enjoy them, but the least the audience can do is allow for the artist to partake in the choosing of the spaces in which their work is displayed in, so that when people show appreciation (or critique) for it, they too can know. this, ofc, also extends to other works like stories. for example, you cannot take a story from tumblr and post it onto ao3 without the author saying it's ok. this principle, however, is somehow a clearer concept to follow and everyone recognizes it as the norm. it should be the same with art.
this hasn't been a huge problem in the snapedom but it does happen from time to time. pls also do not contribute to the problem by reblogging something that you know was definitely not the poster's work. rather, remind them to ask permission first from the artist, but in the meantime to take down the post. if reposting is allowed, then they can put it back up with the proper credits or whatever the artist has allowed for them to do.
tl;dr - as a fanartist and writer myself, i'm begging once more: please do not repost our works without our permission.

Welp, it happened. I didn't think it would, but it happened
Okay so, somebody reposted one of my drawings without my consent
Tumblr media
This one right here
And um.. I just wanna say to whoever does this crap STOP, NOBODY LIKES AN ART THEIF
There are also multiple other artists that I found on their account and never even gave credit to the person who probably spent hours on their work
Just for it to be fricking STOLEN
This is not okay, please please please don't ever do this, it will not give you the attention that you desire
If you do go to repost someone else's art, please ask permission and be sure to give credit
And if they say no then DON'T FRIGGING DO IT
That is all

Pretty sure amateur-stims and i-love-girlcock are the same person as this one [now banned] user who was in the precure tag over the summer losing their mind about how an underage gifmaker had blocked them and then raged again because apparently after they made that post several other content creators had also blocked them too, yelling about that the Precure fandom was "full of puritans" while they themself had an incredibly NSFW lolicon/futanari blog. Full-on meltdown [all tagged with #precure!] saying that gifmakers and artists contribute nothing and are useless and not needed yet they're "treated like gods" on tumblr.
amateur-stims literally said gifmakers were "useless fucks" which is exactly what that other user had said, so they're probably just angry their blog got banned over the pedo art and got triggered because they got called out for stealing gifs from blogs that probably had their original blog blocked. Their behavior is way too aggressive to just be lashing at Precure gifmakers for no reason so I think it's the same person, and if they truly hate Precure content creators like they claim to then they should stop obsessively scrounging through Precure blogs to steal gifs from all y'all talented gifmakers smh
this whole thing is so wild to me lmao. thank you for giving me more context on this person, i do appreciate it
it's just like... what did they think they would find when going into a community dedicated to a children's show? i would wager many of the tumblr fans of the show are underage or if they're not (like myself as i am 26 and i hope it is obvious on my page that i am), they're probably not people who want to see filth like that. it's just.... the precure fandom has always been strongly against that type of content as long as i have been in it. also, if someone who doesn't want to see those things blocks you, you should just move on. i'm sure there are many people who have blocked me because i post random stuff they don't want to see and that's perfectly fine. for example, i've blocked someone who wanted to post game of thrones without tagging it so i could blacklist it and it legit had nothing to do with that person's character. i thought they were a nice person, i just didn't want to see that show and following them wasn't conducive to that. blocking doesn't have to be a personal insult. if this person is taking it so personally that people don't want to see their sexual fetish content without consent, they really need to take a step back from the internet for a while. like that's not normal or healthy.
having an active sexuality/desire is completely fine, but forcing it on people without their consent isn't. that's not what mature adults do. if a child says they are uncomfortable with your sexual talk/behaviours, harassing them isn't the right thing to do.
also, i want to make it clear that i do not support lolicon and i do view it as pedophilia. i hope i have never come across as someone who is okay with it.
as for gifmakers being useless... like, just make your own gifs then lmao! if it is so easy, just make your own! i don't get why they feel the need to steal if it isn't a big deal to make your own. it just comes across as laziness. like i get that they don't think we should complain because we don't own the show and gifmaking isn't that hard, but yet they are still too lazy to make their own. put your money where your mouth is.
and again, i don't think any gifmaker out there wants to be treated like a god or like a king. we just want basic respect for our hobby. we don't want our gifs stolen and reposted elsewhere or insulted. it's not a tough ask in my opinion.
and yeah, it is really weird for them to be going after precure gifmakers. like i've always had great interactions with other precure fans. i really don't get it. i don't know. maybe they're just a perverted weirdo lmao. there's many of those in this world.
anyway thank you for your support of us! we really do appreciate it. every person that leaves kind comments or tells us things like what you have said makes all the difference and does help keep us gifmakers on this site in a time when so many of my fellow users have given up and left.
