Could we also get some justice for Clare Beddor while we're at it, please? According to Feyre, she and Nesta were friends, and we've seen how Nesta treats the people she considers friends through Gwyn and Emerie. A part of me thinks she does know, from that meeting at the end of ACOWAR when Feyre decides to share her story or whatever, but it's possible she left the Clare bit out, since we don't hear word for word what she said to them. So there's a chance she doesn't know. I want to believe she doesn't since Nesta isn't the type of girl who'd let someone hurt her friends and get away with it. Though, since SJM seems to have the memory of a chimpanzee, I wouldn't be surprised if she can't even remember who Clare is anymore.

“Feyre reached out so much she invited nesta to live with her after the war 🥺🥺🥺” in the house with feyre’s mate who’s made his hatred of nesta no secret and constantly harasses her? the house filled with paintings of everyone but nesta? imagine seeing that visual reminder of how little your sister cares for you every. day. DAMN. as an act of reaching out/reconciliation it sucks because it wasn’t one. we need to recognize and respect that as the absolutely sick psychological warfare it was. feyre archeron i tip my hat to you because that was insane.

Thinking about how the House of Wind supposedly being Nesta’s friend made me remember something… the House refused to feed Nesta until she walked down to the dining room and ate with Cassian and Azriel ohhh that’s not —

its not that crazy for 14 yr olds to regularly hunt in the woods (and I do mean with a bow and arrow, not a gun). Usually they go with parents but by the time people are 16ish (at least where I’m from) they can go on their own, usually people are for company. But if you’re hunting seriously the less people the better.
Also Feyre started at 14, most hunting families get their kids hunting at like 7.
ofc feyre was unsupervised and she was near the wall, but… I’m sure there’s typically safer forests??
Also Nesta didn't just sit there like y'all pretended she did... that was Elain... Nesta chopped the wood and I imagine she managed the house + she was meticulously groomed to marry someone wealthy to save her family

I was looking for something in ACOSF and came across this scene:
Tumblr media
NESTA WHY ARE YOU APOLOGISING FOR SNAPPING AT A MAN WHO CROSSED YOUR BOUNDARIES AND TOLD YOU HE HAD NO IDEA WHY YOUR SISTERS LOVED YOU????
And Cassian, WHY are you saying you forgave her when she literally did nothing wrong?
Nesta babes, I'll come rescue you

Guys I’m genuinely tweaking on how Feyre didn’t learn how to read. She had tutors etc, and I doubt any of her family paid attention to her because Nesta says “I would have taught you if I had known” not an exact quote but basically, and Feyre was like “you wouldn’t” but they were pretty rich for a while so she should have know and the audacity of her to say that like GIRL MAYBE TELL SOMEONE.

Cassian and Nesta
To readers who call Nesta a bitch for how she treated Cassian and excuse everything he did with “if she can dish it out then she can take it”:
Go back and reread, because Cassian was the catalyst of their dynamic. He was aggressive and in her face from the start. From the very first time they met, he disrespected Nesta. Twice in her own home, he criticized her and tried to make her uncomfortable by staring her down. The second time (W&E bonus chapter), in her bedroom, he used his wings to intimidate her, invaded her space, sexually harassed her, and insulted her.
He repaid her for saving his life by disrespecting her boundaries on Solstice, ignoring her wishes and following her after ignoring her at the party (where he gifted underwear with Mor!). He knew from experience what dealing with trauma was like and still picked a fight and told her to “try harder,” told her he didn’t know why her sisters loved her.
But “poor Cassian.”
Stop woobifying him.

I hate how Rhysand and the IC suffered no consequences and didn't even have the decency to apologise for withholding such important information from Nesta but Nesta was the one who had to be punished for coming clean to her sister in an attempt to avenge them both (canon). She didn't mince her words while saying how they didn't respect her as the HL and this fact was just never paid any heed in the entire book thereafter ...? Questionable.
She even apologised! (Though there was nothing wrong with what she said but Feyre should have been relayed this info more...gently?)
Never heard Rhysand apologise to her or Feyre.
This MF book gets on my nerves istg
Oh, pookie, I feel you.
SJM's favoritism toward Rhysand is murdering his character. She wants us to believe that he is so good and kind and open-minded and better than everyone because he is just so misunderstood, and then does... This?
Should have Nesta found a more appropriate way to break the news to Feyre? Sure, no one can argue with that. Oh wait, I can, because it shouldn't have been Nesta in the first place. It should have been Rhysand, you know, her mate and husband, or better yet! It should've been Madja!! The very first person who must've realized such a thing would more likely happen since she's their personal healer, but willingly chose to withhold that information from the High Lady mother to later share it in private with Rhysand. Ew. How she still has her job is beyond me. She should have her licence revoked, or whatever. But I digress.
It's not just the act in and of itself (of Nesta telling Feyre), but also everything around it, leading to it. Madja, as I said above, but also the rest of the IC. I'm sorry but, what the fuck? Isn't she supposed to be their friend, too? Their sister? She's their High Lady, for fuck's sake. HIGH LADY!! EQUAL IN EVERY DAMN WAY TO RHYS! And then some, because Rhysand could only wish he was more like Feyre.
And then they had the audacity to punish Nesta for it? For doing what they should've done a long time before? Are we insane?
Feyre didn't even stay mad at Rhys for a full night, but Nesta had to go through that Hike from Hell for a week straight? And Sarah really tried to make it look like that was a long-time-coming thing? Like we, as readers, would see it as a "close the circle" moment, The Healing Of Nesta Archeron? Fuck you, Sarah.
It's been a while now since I started to make a very specific distinction between the Hike scene and the Lake scene.
The lake, when she broke down and cried out 25 years worth of pain and regret? Good, we liked it, it was fifty shades of sad. Closing an eye on the weird beginning of Cassian's monologue being like "I won't tell you how I did x, y and z, but actually I will", but overall it was A Moment.
The hike, on the other hand? Yeah. Not a fucking chance.
Then again, SJM has this weird view of sex, so I can bet Rhys got a good lick between Feyre's legs, maybe fucked her real nice, and that counted as an apology for withholding vital information about the pregnancy from the, you know, pregnant woman. Disgusting.

I HAVE TO RANT.
The only series of SJM I can ever read is TOG (Throne of Glass) and that's it.
That is the only one of her series that has the best worldbuilding, plot twists, romance and characters.
ACOTAR RUINED fantasy novels for me and not even in a good way.
I mean, in a bad way, that I can't pick up a fantasy novel anymore, in fear that it'll be like ACOTAR.
Yes, I used to be a sweet summer child who thought ACOTAR was amazing, Rhysand was so romantic and Tamlin was a tool.
I was the tool.
I'm now in college and I read ACOTAR & ACOMAF & ACOWAR last year.
I stopped after ACOWAR because NEVER FUCKING AGAIN WILL YOU CATCH ME READ THAT SERIES.
I can't even begin with the non-existent lines between misogyny and romance and hypocrisy and the lack of actual world-building and how I NEED to drag the Archeron Sisters FAR FAR AWAY, YES ALL THREE OF THEM.

Just an FYI to the avid Rhysand/IC stans: It is completely possible for a bad person to good things, and a good person to do bad things. It's possible for someone to be a victim of abuse, and an abuser themselves. "Rhysand suffered for his people and deserves all the love" or "Rhysand has a need for control because of his trauma utm," is unbelievable.
Yes, I will acknowledge Rhysand is a victim of SA. I will acknowledge that he had good intentions when protecting Velaris, saving Mor, and fighting Hybern in two wars. However, being a victim doesn't excuse your actions when you abuse others. Under no circumstances does his trauma excuse not telling Feyre about the risk to her life with her pregnancy, or threatening to kill Nesta for no real reason honestly.
You could argue that he had good intentions and didn't want to cause Feyre any stress, just like he had good intentions when stealing Tarquin's book (that he never gave back), or protecting only one third of his court (assuming that the NC is comprised of Velaris, The HC, and Illyria exclusively,) and perhaps he even had good intentions when he tried to make that bargain with Feyre (I seriously doubt it though). However, bad consequences to bad actions that have good intentions DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT make those bad actions okay.
No matter how good Rhysand's intentions were in hiding Velaris, people in Illyrian and the HC suffered under Amarantha's reign. No matter how good his intentions were, Nesta was stuck with her toxic, abusive, stalker in the HOW along with a coward who stood by and watched her get abuse against her will until she was mentally broken. No matter how good his intentions, people still got hurt. People still died.
The families of the murdered children probably don't care what his intentions are. I sincerely doubt the people of HC or Illyria care how good his intentions are. It doesn't matter how good his intentions were when he met with the mortal queens, because Nesta and Elain still got hurt, practically murdered, and put back together again before being forced into a life they didn't want. Lucien clearly didn't care about his intentions when he was brought to The NC. He only backed down when he was threatened.
So I'll say this one more time. Louder for the people in the back: GOOD INTENTIONS DON'T MAKE THE BAD CONSEQUENCES INCONSEQUENTIAL ALL OF A SUDDEN!

more reasons nessian should never have children we all know cassian chooses rhysand over nesta all day every day imagine the COMPLEX it would give you growing up to know your father is more loyal to your “uncle” than you and your mother. that is diabolical. that’s viserys targaryen levels of fatherhood fuckups.

I desperately need Nesta’s thoughts on the High King plotline because she wasn’t privy to that conversation. She’s certain that the Night Court isn’t interested in conquest:
Red flame sizzled in Eris’s eyes. “What did the King of Hybern have to gain by attaining the Cauldron and invading our lands?”
“We have no interest in conquest, Eris,” Cassian said, crossing his arms. “You know that. And we’re not going to use the Trove.”
Eris barked a laugh. Nesta could see that he didn’t believe them—that he was so used to the twisted politics and scheming of his court that even when the simple, easy truth was offered, he could not see it.
Meanwhile in Cassian’s POV 20 chapters earlier:
No other male who would be a fairer ruler than Rhys. And with Feyre as High Queen ... Prythian would be blessed to have such leaders.
And do not forget that Nesta herself—and Elain, with whatever powers she has—is here. Feyre is here. All three sisters blessed by fate and gifted with powers to match your own. Feyre alone doubles your strength. Nesta makes you unstoppable. Especially if she were to march into battle wearing the Mask. No enemy could stand against her.
So… Cassian is literally lying. Yes, Rhys has no interest in conquest for now, but we know for a fact the IC will back him up 100% if he changes his mind. And Nesta’s thinking oh Eris is ridiculous and assuming the worst of the Night Court while he’s actually spot on. Nesta is the only thing standing in their way.
They can’t use the Trove without her (as far as we know), so they’d have to get her on board. But between this scene + her comments in HOFAS, it sounds like she wouldn’t support them. She has Gwydion, assuming they don’t try to take it from her. Even if they do, she still has Ataraxia. I have no idea if SJM will actually carry out a High King plot, but Nesta has to be a key player if she does.

Feyre went hunting on her own accord, and I’m 99% sure that if Nesta didn’t let her, people would hate on her for that too.
“She put a leash on Feyre. She didn’t let her help her family, blah blah blah”
Hunting was Feyre's solution, not her problem. Not everything bad that happened to Feyre is someone’s fault? Sometimes bad things just happen

R/hys stans who are Nesta antis are now claiming that it's weird for us to be mad at Rhys for taking away F/eyres bodily autonomy when Nesta changed F/eyre's anatomy without consent.
I'm sorry what the actual fuck? Like what the actual fuck are you talking about??
Nesta didn't ask for F/eyres anatomy to change. She literally asked for her sister and nephew to live, and the Mother or whatever decided to change her anatomy. NOT NESTA.
They're clearly pissed that F/eyre wasn't in HOFAS and are now grasping at straws to try and be mad at Nesta.
@feyres-divorce-lawyer tagging you in this because I know you're writing something about Feyre and maybe you can add this into it somewhere idk

Is anyone going to talk about how Feyre and Rhysand gifted Nesta and Cassian the house of wind as a mating gift. The same place where Nesta has to walk down thousands of stairs or ask her mate to fly her down to leave, and that’s only if he approves on where she’s going. Nesta cannot winnow, no one would teach her because then they wouldn’t have control over her. So Nesta is still essentially trapped in a house where people dictate where she goes, what she eats, who she sees, what she does, but now it’s just official.
