Hehehe, alright:

Kai, older brother to Nya, is in no way, shape, or form, cis. Primarily uses neopronouns (Flame/Flames/Flameself, Flare/Flares/Flameself, and Ash/Ashes/Ashself) but will accept he/him on good days or by those who don't know flare.

There's a whole little joke that Kai will flirt with anything with legs (meaning adults, not children or animals), but I do believe Kai would be the type of person to be a hyper-flirty pansexual with a female-presenting lean, but gets flustered at the fact of someone flirting back with flare.

Now, Nya: MtF transwoman. And there is a goddamn reason. In season 1, Nya is revealed to be Samuri X, which the ninja have concluded to be a male, not female. Kai was the first to find out, but struggled to call Samuri X he/him after figuring out because flare's technically misgendering flares sister, but the others don't know that Samuri X is flares sister, so flare just looks crazy-. That time of full blown panic for Kai of 'it's for a reason' and 'oh god I'm a horrible big brother for using Nya's wrong pronouns'.

Nya's also bisexual with a male-presenting lean. Also, for the above, she's not medically transitioned, but does take estrogen. That's about as far as she'll get in medical transitioning, thanks to Kai making sure that Nya knows, no matter what, she's flares little sister.

So! After so long,I FINALLY finished the Dance with Devils anime! I will now watch some more otome anime adaptations. But I will try my best not to take as long with watching them this time. The little sharks have launched a new franchise: "Super Mechalodon!" Where did this hero come from? From the abyss of the past? Or perhaps from the distant stars? The only certainty is that it has arrived to rescue the city of Neo Reef from an imminent alien threat! 🤖✨

I think it's time for more heroic representations of the great Megalodon! Something different from these current morbid movies where these sharks always die in every imaginable way. 🙄
