Finally, some decent development.

Let's talk about it.

I like Lucy and all but sometimes it's a bit too much. Like how can you be sad over the death of someone you just met? Ik it's Fairytail and their Nakama power and stuff but this? They barely had 2-3 interactions.

If Kiria sacrificed herself, that would have made more sense. Plus, I like how Natsu motivated Lucy to fight because everyone else was fighting too and she was just standing. I didn't even realise that she wasn't fighting until Natsu said it. And then I realised, ofc Lucy wouldn't wanna hurt a friend.

Also, I really liked the fact that Natsu wants Lucy to fight.

They were the OG team, from the very beginning!! It was just her, Natsu and Happy that started it!! And Natsu wants Lucy by her side, because no matter what happens Lucy has always been by his side. In good and bad, in sickness and in health, in every adventure, in every fight!

She may not fight at all, like in the beginning of the series when she was a scaredy cat or just do a thing or two to contribute.

Or she may put an end to the entire conflict all by herself, but her presence has always mattered.

Her spirit has always mattered.

And that's why this moment is important.

It might be the only decent bit from this chapter and I want this arc to be over already, but I can't help but praise when something good happens, especially regarding Nalu, since DAMN I want them to end up together already!!!

FT 100 yr quest Chapter 150 Rant

So I really liked this chapter. It was organized and just well done. (I can’t always say that about FT. )

I just need to rant about this last chapter.

1.) I understand that Lucy is a kindhearted person who loves her friends but it didn’t make sense to me when she prioritized Athena over her team. ( She prioritized Athena when she didn’t attack her) It felt so out of character now that Lucy has matured more emotionally. Everyone else knew what to do even Athena was so mature about it. Lucy is sweet but they kind of just met Athena. 😅 idk. I feel Lucy’s reaction was too much.

Now see everyone fighting Athena except Lucy ⬇️

ERZA, WENDY, ⬆️

STING, ROGUE, GRAY, NATSU AND JELLAL ⬇️

2.) NOW LETS TALK ABOUT KING NATSU !

Omg boy was fired up he said please to be gentle but then snapped at her. I’m still melting over here because she needed it and he gave it to her. I LOVE IT. I just love how he is that rock for her when she needs it. So cute.

PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW NATSU IS MORE INTELLIGENT THAN HE LETS ON. It’s not really a Nalu moment but it kind of is ❤️❤️❤️

Just My Thoughts Pt. 30

As we approach the end of FT 100 YQ (manga), I have a lot of expectations and hopes for a good ending that’s well thought out and developed. Right now we are entering into Ignia’s arc which is probably the most anticipated one of the series so far and I really hope it’s not disappointing. The other arcs were good not great in the sense that they could’ve been developed a bit more since some parts seemed rushed or underwhelming.

Starting off with Lucy, I think there is a lot that could be done with her. While there were some parts where she was displayed well such as the Star dress mix or her battles during Selene’s arc, I think that she should have the spotlight at some point. She is often used for fan service and I don’t really have a care for that but it undermines her intelligence and soft hearted personality. For instance, in the original series we have seen her come up with great ideas such as closing the eclipse gate, sacrificing Aquarius, and using fairy sphere. And not to forget, she was also the one to figure out where Mavis’ grave was located during Tenrou island arc. I don’t really recall any memorable aspects of the 100 YQ that can even hold a candle to these from the original manga.

Therefore, I truly believe she’s in a need to showcase her abilities especially her intellect way more. Perhaps a mini arc for her reunion with Aquarius (via finding her key) or some interaction with Ignia. I have wondered why 100 YQ has been accomplished in over a century and of course Agnologia has some part in creating fear but is that truly all there is too it’s incompletion? I am hoping for something a bit more complex. Maybe Lucy can figure this out. Maybe she can have a battle all on her own. She’s grown so much since the start of the entire franchise and I would love to see her fight against multiple opponents at once. No help from the others. I would also love to see more Star dress mixes or maybe a new development. She’s most definitely the strongest and most powerful celestial mage, even surpassing Anna who probably held that position for a long time.

Or she can find out more about who Ignia is. We know he’s Igneel’s biological son but what was their relationship like? How come Natsu didn’t know much about him? What are Ignia’s true intentions? What does he want with all of the mages with fire related magic abilities? I really hope the ending isn’t downplayed like the original story with END because let’s all be honest, it was so disappointing because where was the drama?! Everything that has been hyped up with showing END as this awful villain was not shown properly. I also think a connection back to Lucy’s fear of Natsu’s flames caused by Ignia would be interesting. I desperately need this to happen!

Anyway I’m getting off track but I just want Lucy to shine through her battle strategy, intelligence, and her amazing personality at least once before the end of the manga.

NaLu's current relationship situation

Okay, this is something that's been on my mind lately and if I don't talk about it I think I'm going to explode.

We all know that Natsu and Lucy have a "strange" relationship, they are more than friends but less than lovers, as Mashima said previously. And I want to talk about some changes that have occurred from the original manga to the sequel.

LET'S BEGIN BTCHS

I think we all know that Natsu is NOT as dense as they make him out to be. He may be somewhat inexperienced when it comes to romance but he KNOWS that his situation with Lucy is different compared to any girl he knows.

He becomes possessive and jealous, something that doesn't happen with other girls, only Lucy. If you really didn't know anything about relationships or how intimate many of those moments are, why would you be jealous when other men do it? Natsu knows that what he does with Lucy is close, personal, INTIMATE.

I know some people treat it as a joke but I really do think that Natsu, from the bottom of his being, thinks he is in a relationship with Lucy. And Lucy has a lot to do with this, I think her way of expressing how close Natsu has become to her now and the lack of reaction on her part makes him think that she's okay with it happening.

Lucy no longer reacts aggressively when Natsu does something that only romantic couples do, she has become passive in those situations, timidly asking him to stop, a reaction that in the original manga did not usually happen. She used to be much more authoritarian and firm in these cases, reaching physical violence (the famous Lucy kicks, wich I approve of because god forbid a woman has boundaries smh).

I think this lack of negative reaction on Lucy's part makes Natsu think that he has her consent to do what he does, hence, from his point of view, he is not doing anything wrong. Natsu thinks that Lucy is exclusive to him, since he is exclusive to Lucy.

Lucy has no competition for Natsu's attention. He has no desire to be with another woman or have the type of relationship he has with Lucy with anyone else. Since from Natsu's point of view, they are together (and cheating on Lucy is non-existent in his mind).

But this is different from Lucy's point of view, she thinks that Natsu is not interested in her, she thinks that he is simply too dense to know what his actions mean and she lets it pass as an accident.

I know that communication is non-existent in Fairy Tail but if Lucy doesn't make their relationship clear they will never be able to be something more because Natsu doesn't see the need to talk things out.

Rambling about Fairies - Manga Chapter 202

It's a bit of a shame that we don't come full circle with this one, actually. This moment, in hindsight, is incredibly powerful once we find out what Cana told her here.

Lucy, whose relationship with her father is permanently fractured and just starting to rebuild again--- hears that Cana is struggling with the same problem. What these girls want is to reconnect with their father again, to receive that love they've craved their whole life again. Lucy knows how painful it is, and that's why, she helps Cana.

Which is heartbreaking when Lucy comes home, only to realize her father passed away in the seven years gap.

I'm all for Nalu and Happy doing what they do best, but I do feel it is such a shame we don't get a scene of Cana helping Lucy through that grief of losing her father. Of Cana mourning with her, if only to return the favour of company that Lucy gave to her here. It'd be the final staple to this whole Cana arc of family, reconnections, loss, and moving on.

Fairytail 100YQ: Chapter 125, thoughts

Yes, Lucy is basically me going stars over this chapter, it is so damn good! So finally were on Sabertooth's Great Library to search for the books on 5 Dragon Gods and the moment Natsu gets his hands on the search machine, the first book he looks for is Lucy's book: The Adventure of the Iris!

If that isn't cute, I don't know what is.

Everyone is looking for their type of books. Happy looking for Fish books and Gray looking for books related to Juvia. It's a library and it's already so chaotic with FT around, lol.

We even have Sorano for a bit of fun!

Jerza still in denial, damn.

Also, Lucy's expressions are just so funny here, lmao 🤣

So, Sorano has more info on the real White Wizard, something Jellal was specifically looking for. She's in Gold Owl, an Alchemy Guild in the continent of Guiltina! All the more reason to go there.

Also, White Wizard is Athena!!!!

Now, this is a twist.

The real white Wizard is Athena! The most powerful weapon that could destroy all 5 Dragon Gods is actually a living doll made out of Alchemy! And wow, she looks so amazing, like straight out of Edens Zero!!!! Man, things are getting real now. I love the design! Also, her personality is also that of a robot as we see later in the chapter.

God Serena is revived by Alchemy and we finally have our Signario Sisters...

Their designs look good as well as their personalities. One is ruthless while the other is kind. How bout a battle between Erza and Mira vs Signario Sisters?

Also, Gold Owl is actually trying to enslave all Dragon Gods, just wow.

Man, this chapter was a good set-up. Can't wait to see what else Lucy and gang finds in the library. Also, Duke Barbaroa is soo cool!!!

Can't wait for more!!
