Iona is a rival funeral director to Anstey but they chill, and Padraig is married to her. Nairna is a cook/chef who Stanly has a wee crush on. Dusk and Lucy were childhood friends of Cerulean and Lionel, the former a grunt to Raoul and the latter a farmer. And, Harri and Corsen were “popular kid” friends with Anstey back in the day, but are now acquainted with Lionel.

Decided to compile a list of what accents I'd assign the Ashbourn cast! While it would be better with specifics on the town, some are fictional, so I can only give general locations. Those outside of Ireland are general as well.

*The orphans Cerulean, Dusk, Lionel, and Lucy were all first in county Galway so they might've picked that accent first. Lionel was brought over to England and lost it, while Lucy was taken to Fermanagh (Ulster) much later in her life so hers didn't change.

Cerulean and Dusk traveled around. Dusk would've adopted a different accent to try to fit in where he's at such as in Dublin, but he'd mostly retain a Galway accent. but Cerulean I'm not too sure. I'm having Cerulean have a Meath accent for now since he'd live there the longest but I wouldn't be opposed to a Galway one.

**Anstey's a special case too as he's raised in an English household mostly from Manchester but he grew up in county Meath. He was sort of fed both but forced to use his English accent more. He'd be able to pick up the Meath accent well but the English will always come through.

***Steller's accent is not genuine but she doesn't really let anyone know what her true accent is. Garth is the only one that would've figured that out.

1. what is their coffee shop order?

caramel triple shot venti oat milk latte with extra whip OR a large black coffee. either one, depending on the mood of the day.

3. would/do they know how to drive a car? are they/would they be good at it?

they do know how to drive a car, and they're good at it in the way james bond is good at driving cars - he gets where he needs to go but sometimes fucks everything up along the way.

5. what is a specific, defining physical feature that they have?

i would say, when his clothes are on, the defining physical feature is their hair - long and thick, with intricate braids denoting his family, marriage status, and occupation, in a language that is easily readable by his family, but not so much by others.

when the clothes are off, it's definitely the massive, lightning style scarring all along his right leg.

7. what quality do they like the least about themselves?

this is hard! they really do like themselves a pretty healthy amount, but i would say the one thing they feel the most guilty about would be not being able to save Nairna.

9. who do they admire? why?

they admire their traveling companions! i think they admire them because they're capable folks, but they're also genuinely kind and reliable.

11. what does a usual outfit of theirs look like?

a usual outfit is leather leggings, knee high boots, and a dark long sleeve shirt with leather armor over it. he's got one dagger at his waist, the other tucked into his boot, and a shortsword at his other hip. when in the city or on official den thelyss summons, they have a dark xhorhasian cloak and dark purple and silver outfit that they wear, but typically their clothing ranges from black to mid-browns. a lot of their color comes from the beads and feathers in their hair, blues and aquamarines and greens.

13. what does their handwriting look like?

whatever they need it to look like! they're very versatile. it also depends what language they're writing in - some languages require cursive while others require print.

15. when was the last time they cried?

oh, probably shortly before leaving for jigow. they'd just finished a romance book and the ending gave them a warm fuzzy heart so naturally they ran to kellen to cry about it.

17. when were they the most angry that they’ve ever been?

twice. equal in anger. the first was when their sister died and they realized it was actually a hit job from someone within the dwendalian empire. the second was during the event that led to them rescuing kellen, and they eventually had to be held back by their company to keep from running in to save more people; again, another attack ordered by the dwendalian empire.

19. have they ever been in love?

to quote the great bard of our time, hozier: naoise falls in love, every day, with someone new. but given the spirit of the question, i would say no - they haven't really had one special person, aside from kellen, but that's more queerplatonic than it is soul-burning true love.

Employment Status: Big Bear at his own Pub “The Drovers Inn”

What was their life like before Aramore?

There was no life before Aramore. Marcus has been living there, in the same house with his Family, all his life. Just like most of the men and women in his line before him. The Drovers Inn, founded by one of his ancestors was passed down from generation to generation. Just like the tales of Mother Nairna and the forrest with her namesake. It’s where Marcus spent his loveless childhood, his wild teenage years and as of now, most of his unpredictable adult life.

What is their life like now?

Business is going well, there’s always time for good booze and company no matter how snowy, and while he might not be able to learn from travelling himself, tourists and his own natural curiosity have led him to fluency in several languages and a good base of knowledge of things across the board. Aramore is where his people, his self- proclaimed extended family, are. He’s living the good life.

Where do they want to be in 10 years/the future?

Marcus doesn’t see himself leaving his hometown for good. He’s played with the idea sometimes, just for fun, when he was at spirit trade fairs out of town but thn there was always that pull he felt to return. Like his purpose, his fate lied there. Here he has everything he needs. Granted, the circumstances make finding love above a platonic level difficult, people sometimes joke he is married to his Inn, but who knows? Just like the beast trapped in its castle, someone might find him too.

Name: Aiden McGill Age: 20 Time In Aramore: Less than a month Employment Status: Employed at Aramore Library

What was their life like before Aramore?

As the youngest of the family, Aiden grew up being secretly rebellious. At home in front of his parents he acted like an angel, doing his homework, going to piano lessons, whereas outside he was a different person. Drinking underage, smoking, trespassing with his friends who just had to see whether that big old building really was haunted.

Rebelling became pretty boring pretty quickly, though, and by the time he turned eighteen he was over most of it. Getting someone to buy alcohol and cigarettes wasn’t needed anymore because they were all of age. Now that most people in his friend group could drive they went to places they were allowed to explore. The smoking was something that carried on but drinking so much just for the sake of drinking was already exhausting and he only really went all out when it was someone’s birthday. Obviously he hid all of these things from his parents and still, to this day, hides the fact that he smokes from his dad.

His mom leaving was something that still didn’t make sense to him. She had seemed happy and content in the life they had but apparently that wasn’t the case. One moment she was there and the next she was gone. Aiden didn’t really have time to think about what it meant for their family because before he knew it they were moving from their home in Edinburgh to a small town he’d never heard of called Aramore.

What is their life like now?

Aiden hated the whispers and the gossip that started when they moved to Aramore. He had no idea who Mother Nairna was until after he got the job at the local library where he spent the dead hours reading through the history books, trying to learn as much as he could. He’s managed to avoid the topic as much as possible, often changing the topic or distracting the person he’s talking to if it comes up in conversation.

Aramore itself is beautiful and, despite the cold, he’s glad that they moved to somewhere smaller and quieter than the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s easier to make friends and he feels like he knows most of the faces in the neighbourhood already.

Where do they want to be in 10 years?

Rather than making long term goals, Aiden prefers to make goals for a more immediate time period. He knows that he’d like to remain in Aramore, the town has wormed its way into his heart already but he doesn’t know what he wants to do. If he ended up happy but still working in the library then that would be more than enough for him.
