I did my yearly My-Hime watch but this time I watched it in 1080p and it's as if I discovered the anime for the very first time.
ShizNat are so freaking toxic but I loved it every minute of it. Gotta go read some fanfictions. In a more serious note, I find incredible the fact that they were canon and we saw them kiss twice without censure, after all the anime got released in 2003. Nowadays animes are all about very subtext yuri, it's a big downgrade.
Mai is still the annoying mc that we somehow learn to love. I hated her less than last year.
Oh and this time, I loved Nao, she was amazing and her complexity is everything.
The soundtrack is incredible because Yuki Kajiura.
But for the first time, I didn't like the ending, the whole deus ex-machina was a huge let down and underwhelming.
So yeah, excited to see what I'll think about My-Hime next year ! Now, I'm going to watch My Otome (I'm definitely not ready for Tomoe)

I have five episodes of Revolutionary Girl Utena left (I’ll watch them this week), so I decided to start My-HiME.
Don’t really know anything about the show, but there’s a main character who gets dragged into this thing where girls fight monsters, and an aloof girl with long, dark hair who wields guns telling her not to do it.
This feels… familiar (This show came out in 2004).
Anyway, it looks interesting enough. Think I’ll stick around and watch more of it.
