mirko x gn!reader but college AU

Usually after classes they’d make out in the bathroom stalls and usually the reader is alone in school but she always catches up to them and gives them affection after school at the dorms

A hand had inconspicuously dragged them by their shirt, pulling a small surprised noise from the back of their throat as they were tugged into the abandoned bathroom on the second floor.

Before they could yell a few choice words, they were met with a cheeky grin that had their shoulders slumping with relaxation. “You need to work on your sneaking skills between classes.”

“I think they’re perfectly fine, thank you very much,” their girlfriend retorted, mock hurt in her voice as she took their hand in hers.

As had become of their routine, Rumi pulled them into an empty, slightly run-down bathroom stall, locking it behind them just for good measure (though they both knew that no one ever bothered to venture there anymore). With a chuckle at her eagerness, they felt a budding feeling of love swell in their chest at the sight of her brilliant ruby eyes glittering up at her so fondly.

With just about as much restraint as a freshman frat boy at a college party, they gently held the small of her back, cradling the back of her head as they leaned in and pecked her lips sweetly. Though Rumi’s eyes had fluttered closed of their own accord, a small frown etched itself on her face as they pulled away.

“I don’t get to have a single class with you all day, and this is what’s supposed to tide me over?” she huffed, before taking things into her own hands—quite literally—and grabbing the lapels of their shirt to pull them into a proper kiss.

Soft lips nibbled at theirs, her tongue hot and wet in the warmth of their mouth. She tasted as sweet as ever; something so uniquely hers that they couldn’t help but cling to her just a little tighter and hope she could hear their heartbeat thrumming in her throat. Her hand felt sinfully good as it reached up and stroked their cheek, kissing them deeper as she did. A low moan escaped their lips, and Rumi seemed to grin into the kiss as she heard just how deeply she was affecting them.

With a quick playful tug at their bottom lip with her teeth, she pulled back to admire the way their cheeks flushed and that hazy, lovestruck look settled in their eyes.

Still, they would never let her think she won. With a smirk on their face, they asked, “Think you could last another couple of hours without me?”

Rumi snorted, an exasperated but nonetheless fond expression on her face as she pushed them out of the stall. “I’ve lasted the entire junior year so far. I think I’ll survive.”

“You are such a liar,” they laughed out, looking down at the way she was currently cuddled into their chest, dressed in the shirt and sweatpants she’d nicked from their wardrobe sometime in the beginning of spring.

“What was that? Thought I heard a little shit complaining about being on the receiving end of their lovely girlfriend’s affection.” Her menacing tone was muffled out by the fabric of their hoodie, and it only served to make her sound all the less threatening.

That pulled another chuckle from them. “I wouldn’t dare. I’m just glad to have you in my arms at the end of the day.”

“You would’ve missed out on ever holding me again if I’d died after tripping over that pile of junk in the doorway,” Rumi grumbled, opening one eye lazily to glare at them.

They sheepishly looked away, their hand reaching up to finger through her thick platinum hair. “Was too tired this morning when I got ready for class. Sorry.”

“Nah, just messing with you,” she replied, gently squeezing their waist a little tighter, “I’ll help you clean up the dorm tonight. You’ve been swamped with midterms, haven’t you?”

They sighed, and for a moment, Rumi could spot the visible signs of exhaustion on their face and detect it in their voice. “You have no idea. Juggling classwork, studying, and attendance sucks ass. I desperately need a breather.”

Their girlfriend looked up, resting her chin on their chest as she grinned. “Lucky you got me, huh?”

For a beat, they remained quiet, before an adoring smile unknowingly crept up on them. Tenderly kissing her forehead, they could revel in their shared warmth that seemed to make up for all the hellish work of the week.

“Yeah, very lucky.”
