I don't read much OM! fic content that's not reader-inserts so that probably affects my preferences a lot. I think my tastes skew towards what's popular with a few obvious outliers. what's your kpop journey ? (how you got into it, your first groups and biased, your opinion on kpop before etc.)
Thank you for the ask, my tired brain will try it's best to talk about how what when happened and yeah... let's go
Early Phase (2012-2016)
Basically me knowing that Psy exists because of Gangnam Style and later Gentleman. Young me really enjoyed those songs, but there was no real connection to korea or the idea/culture of kpop.
Then my sister introduced me to the song Tomorrow by BTS but because I was in my anime phase at the time, I just put it in my anime playlist. I fucking loved the song tho lol.
No bias, no real opinion either lol.
BLACKPINK Phase (2018-2019)
I don't really know how but I found Blackpink and started to vibe with their songs and style, which got really enhanced by their dance of DDU-DU DDU-DU on Just Dance 2019, which i played a lot. I got into them a bit more and my sister (who was a kpop fan behind my back basically kek) showed me Monster of EXO and Don't Wanna Cry of SEVENTEEN.
I was deinitely not a kpop fan, hell, I had no real clue about the culture or other groups or the fact that BTS, who I had one random song of was currently on and unprecedented rise. Everything was set in place, but I was still only danving to D4 lol
Lisa is my bias, though I dunno what that is yet lol. I like Blackpink, but the concept of kpop was not yet really in my mind.
Covid-Lockdown Phase (March 2020-May 2020)
This was the void. There was nothing to do, nothing thag mattered. All responsibilities were on hold. Time to watch vids my siblings to pass the time.
What are they watching? Asian men I do not understand? Looks... fun! With every day, every video, every song I add to my playlist I fall deeper into this glorious hole that is kpop. Like a sponge, I suck up all the content until I am this weird multistan with no sense of direction but the unbridled want to know more and to listen to more.
Blackpink, then BTS, then Twice, the it was already basically everyone else. Kpop filled my time with more fun than everything else could have. Life, strangely, was perfect. During a fucking lockdown, I reached a peek that continued.
My favorite group is BTS by a HUUUGE margin, my bias is switching between Lisa, Jin and Dahyun.
Deeper Into the Hole (June 2020-March 2021)
I add more groups to the list I like. KARD, Red Velvet, Mamamoo, EXO, NCT, SEVENTEEN, Everglow, aespa, TXT, ATEEZ... it never seems to stop. New releases left and right filling my mind to the point were even drastic changes in life cannot shake me up. I'm still falling, reaching deeper for more.
I find songs that I love to death. Answer by ATEEZ especially has me with adrenaline on every listen. It is about now that I find it not that difficult to remember names of members and that I see some (especially) female idols as very pretty.
BTS best group, Dahyun best girl.
K-Pop-Fan (April 2021-August 2021)
Basically yeah. Multistan that had commited to IZ*ONE last second because they were more than just good... they were literally the greatest girl group ever... though I have yet to realize it.
My life is going quite well, I have fun, I don't get tired of this genre that id more than music. It's stupid game shows, funny compilations, memes, stupid takes and pretty people. Around this time I get a bit spicy, reading fanfiction, dumb W*ttp*d stuff with crazy stories until...
Smut. Fuck, since when were TWICE this hot???
But this WP stuff is quite cringey... so I looked around and found Tumblr. First was Peach, then ddeun and then... Levi.
BTS best group, TWICE a close second, Dahyun best girl, Nayeon and Minju were in the hunt.
Smite, Smut and Smusic (September 2021-March 2022)
I messaged Levi (basically just a fanboy letter lol) and he encouraged me to try writing myself. The last time I wrote creatively was 2016, so I really doubted that I could pull something off.
About a week later, I'm in this server with all these cool smut writers and yeah... everything went crazy lol. My life was different and so was my kpop life. The visual effect of idols grew exponentionally, from very high to absurd, yet I still found myself finding beauty and attractiveness in other people around me. I dunno how to explain it lol.
I was writing, listening and also chatting with these new amazing friends that helped me navigate through what were difficult times while also being incredibly talented. My hobby of kpop now turned to another hobby with a new group of friends which grew to great importance in this phase.
BTS an inch before IZ*ONE, Minju easily my new ult.
That's my life (April 2022-now???)
A lot of stuff happened in this time frame but my attitude towards kpop, this community, writing or idols hasn't changrd too drastically. I saw my first concert, that was awesome. IVE rocks my world, other 4th gen groups fight their way to my heart, while I still really love older stuff.
I reach thousands of followers, find new insanely pretty and hot idols, write way too many fucking stories about fucking lol. I listen to almost everything, kpop is still my No. 1 hobby, yet it never overtook my whole personality.
BTS-IZ*ONE-IVE, Minju remains No. 1 but I love so many other idols, especially Yujin and Gaeul.

anyway, I apologize on behalf of the fandom for these people. I do not get why it's a topic when nothing is canon and it's not even implied or hinted in canon. I just wanted to show my appreciation for you and always keep levi canon and not try to twist his character for your own fantasies. I don't know why it's so hard for people to just let it go and enjoy canon levi.

Yeah, that's a good point, lol. It just proves, once more, that supplemental material like interviews don't count for squat. You get contradictory statements and opinion all the time. None of it matters. The only thing that matters is what happens in the actual story. I don't know why this is so hard for some people to accept. And of course, they love to be selective when trying to "prove" their claims, only talking about one thing while completely ignoring the other. You can't paint an accurate, or objective, picture of events and character actions and motivations, if you don't look at what's happening from all sides. Again, it's engaging in confirmation bias. If something acts as a counter to what you want to be there, then just ignore it, I guess.
But anyway, thank you so much, truly. It's just exhausting, the way these people can't seem to let it go. Like, damn, just accept it. Why are they so hell bent on proving something that just simply isn't there? Why does it bother them so much when another person won't accept their distorted view?

Do you accept Wfc and Foc games canon to the Attack on Prime universe? There is some lore there that others like Hanji would love to hear. Such as Combiners, Dinobots, corruption of the Core (Megatron getting vibe checked repeteadly by Metroplex lmao)
The Aligned Continuity has always been extremely inconsistent when it comes to Transformers Prime. There's the Covenant of Primus, WFC and FOC, Transformers Exodus and Exile, Transformers Prime, and RID2015. RID2015 is being completely scrapped in Attack on Prime for...obvious reasons. That show was bad. But the rest of it just has some major glaring inconsistencies to the point where I really just pick and choose what gets brought up in Attack on Prime.
For example, Ratchet's retelling of Optimus and Megatron's friendship and eventual fallout can easily be subjected to his own bias towards Optimus and Megatron. An unbiased perspective would be reading Transformers Exodus where you see 'Oh yeah, Megatron might've had a point with being angry with Optimus'.
The Dinobots are a lot more complicated because in the Covenant, they were created by Shockwave, but they were with the Autobots during the WFC, but suddenly Grimlock, the leader of the Dinobots, forced in stasis lock as a Decepticon in RID2015. See how confusing that is?
My specific rule for Attack on Prime in regards to Transformers Prime Lore: if it's not explicitly mentioned in the show, I'm not really going to bring it up for consistency sake. Like Optimus and Megatron's relationship before the war, free game. Combiners, not so much. The history of Primus and Unicron, oh absolutely! The Core's corruption...maybe? Look in Transformers Exodus, it was mentioned that dark energon was used to corrupt the Core, but in the 2nd episode of TFP, they're bringing up dark energon as if Megatron and Starscream have never heard of it and this is there first time using it.
So unfortunately, that means no Dinobots, and no Grimlock in the story. And I know people really wanted Grimlock to be in the story. When I put a poll in chapter 4 on fanfiction about what other Transformers I should bring into Attack on Prime, Grimlock was a top choice. And who doesn't want to see Optimus Prime ride a T-Rex cutting the heads off of titans? But it's just not practical in the sense of consistency. Even with Emperor Kumquat's breakdown of the aligned continuity, it's still hard for me to nail it down to where it can be accepted.
Also, this extensive Transformers lore is not needed for Attack on Prime because it's not the main focus. The main focus is humans vs titans. Learning about this has no real impact on the story; it's just filler. Maybe Hanji learns about the Dinobots and Combiners in a one shot, but as a plot point, no. I also got an issue with too much lore and not enough character driven moments. Lore driven shows, or shows that focus too much on lore, ends up being a bad show because the characters are ultimately pushed to the side.
(Although Levi might actually laugh if he heard Megatron got pwned by a Transformer City. Lol)

So I haven't been watching Grey's after 18x10 but knowing that there was some significant Levi content in the latest episode, I needed those scenes! Nobody had uploaded them on social media yet for my convenience 😒 so I legit skipped every other part of the latest episode and only jumped to the Levi scenes on Disney+ (lmao the effort I put in because I don't want to put myself through the torture of watching the rest of that shit! 😹)
But boy, the Levi scenes were good and I think that he got a decent amount of screen-time for the first time in a long time. Needless to say, Jake's performance was awesome! And poor Myrna! Thankfully she was stable by the end of the episode, but if the writers play dirty as usual and suddenly make her flatline later - then Levi will go darker than before!
Also is it just me or did all of you also think that it was weird how Levi was suddenly all pro- GSM, pro- residency program, pro-Richard Webber? If I'm not wrong, didn't he act like he was all dead inside and beyond help in his last appearance when Webber had gone to meet him? And hadn't he said, "We all kill people" and other things to him in a way that seemed anti-surgery and how he was least interested in reviving his career in medicine? Compared to that, he seemed a lot better and his career-related opinions seemed to have switched abruptly in the latest episode. If he is going through some mental health crisis can't these so-called writers dive deeper into the subject instead of confusing the audiences like this?
As far as Nico's absence is concerned, it was not at all shocking. 🙃 But why can't they just mention something for once like he only works as a part-time surgeon or something at the hospital to make it seem believable and not funny given how he's rarely ever there even to attend ortho cases (like Myrna's in this episode)? Lol. 😆
Also another thing that doesn't shock me is how Levi didn't think of Nico even once despite his mom being in need of 'ortho.' He endlessly prattled on about the greatness of Richard Webber and the residency program throughout the episode despite his present mental health, but he didn't give a f*ck when Myrna brought up his break-up with Nico. If he could talk normally to Helm when she came to visit him (for her own selfish purpose only) and tolerate her rudeness, God knows why is Nico the only one whose face he doesn't want to see ever again. Nico had absolutely nothing to do with the Devon situation, yet somehow Levi is only pushing him away instead of people like Helm and Richard who are actually connected to the situation. There's got to be something more to it, right?
If we can't get a deeper explanation for Levi's special bias against Nico, then as much as I stan them I don't want this drama to be dragged on forever. Because the lack of communication even at this point of their relationship is annoying as hell! Besides, the signs of love between them have been hard to spot lately with Levi's unconcern for Nico after dumping him and Nico disappearing after 18x10. So whether or not Jake continues to stay on the show as Levi after season 18, I pray that this season determines for good if he wants Nico as his life partner or not. I love Schmico with my whole heart, but Levi's utter lack of interest in Nico's existence makes me suspicious of what his true feelings for him are.
In my head they are most certainly endgame, but I can't deal with their shit in canon forever. The show needs to either break them up forever or make it seem convincing that they still love and care for each other. Especially on Levi's part because Nico had made his feelings and intentions pretty clear long back in the 17x16 candle scene; it's Levi who can't seem to make up his mind about him. So if the writers don't end up killing either of them, I hope Levi has the mercy to make his own feelings clear to Nico by the end of this season, whatever they are. 🙏🏽 Can't wait for this nonsense to be wrapped up...

My thoughts regarding SnK chapter 139
Read at your own risk because my thoughts are all over the place and incoherent. 😅
So when the spoilers came out i innitially cringed a bit because of how cheesy the leakers made it sound due to the salt lol. After Korean raws came out, i liked the images. The art is phenomenal! After reading the official translation i am in love with it. ❤😭
It was so incredibly bittersweet, just like Isayama promised us.
The entire EreMin dialogue was heartwrenching and i said that if Eren pulls a Lelouch i will apologize for hating his character so much post TS. So i guess i have to apologize.
This dude was willing to turn himself into an absolute monster to ensure his friends have a bright future ahead of themselves. He believed that with him laying down the foundation and dirtying his hands to the point of being irredeemable they will be able to ceize their own future.
The story he told about Ymir and her motivation explains few things: Why she protected the king with her body, why she kept building the titans even after Eren seemingly freed her, why killing Zeke stopped the rumbling and why Eren told her "You're not a got nor a slave. Just a human being". He felt how strong her love for the king was and realized she is just a poor girl who was bound by her feelings.
Then we go to the talk about Mikasa and Eren reveals he has been in love with her that whole time, but kept it within because he knew their love is impossible, because he will have to die for their sakes. He completely bares his soul to Armin revealing his selfish, pathetic, Human side which i absolutely loved btw! But despite that he asks Armin not to tell her about it as he wants her to be happy, never wondering what if.. This also confirmed that the scene in 138 was in fact their shared dream and not "mikasa's delusion"..i hope antis die of embarassment now haha.
It is also revealed Mikasa's choice that time in 138 will lift the curse of the titans. Ymir was waiting for a girl who is deeply in love to show her how to break free and let go of her loved one.
This was what led Ymir to smile and finally free herself and remove the curse from the world.
It seems that everyone got their little talk with Eren, except Levi and Pieck. I think Eren was not sure what to tell Levi or maybe because Levi is an Ackerman, getting him to the paths was too much effort, considering he could only access Mikasa's mind only moments before his death.
In the end all their friends acknowledged his sacrifice (not the genocide!). Annie and Jean calling him suicidal blockhead for one last time made me sad and nostalgic. Annie showed she cared about him since trainee days... 🥲
Now we get to Levi's final goodbye and this was the moment i started crying. This man... He suffered so much, lost Everyone, destroyed his body just to make sure their deaths had meaning, but in the end it was all worth it, so he gave them a soft smile while shedding tears. Don't get me started on Hange being front and center ashdnkhdudjndnkxh
The warriors reunited with their loved ones, FaBi got to see each other again and their suffering also ended..
Armin's scene was such a great callback to trost arc.
It was sooo good. Also bonus Annie blushing at her husbando.
Three years later we see Queen historia with her beloved child who is now free from the titan curse, being happy and soft. She is probably much better mom than her own mother was
But she is also a Queen of the country who has become like a fascist dictatorship. 😬
Despite that, she retains her kindness for her friends, sheltering Jean's and Connie's families from the Yegerists. She is a strong, independent woman.
She writes her letter and tells Armin and co even if Eren was right about one side not being able to live in peace until the other is wiped out, he left Paradis in *their* hands, meaning Herself and The alliance. Which is why i believe the peace negotiations would go successfuly.
I am really digging Armin's speech here. Armin has been a chad this entire time heh.
And so we see Levi chilling in a wheelchair in Onyankopon's country, living the life, until a plane flies by and Onyankopon gives him that look. And he looks somewhat sad.
An anon pointed out that the bubble of "They'll want to know what we saw" being placed on Levi's panel is so poetic, because from 115 Levi only saw Hange and followed her lead to free humanity and i agree.
And finally we see Mikasa sitting by Eren's grave, waiting for everyone to join her. Her clothes and longer hair indicate she indeed became the same normal girl she was before she met Eren. She misses Eren, it's normal, but a bird comes by and wraps a scarf around her, making her smile and look happy which gives just the right amount of sweetness to the story.
My only complaint about the story comes from Bias. Yeah, Isayama killed Hange for seemingly no reason, but i think the reason was simple: He needed to portray two characters who love each other letting go of each other, of their dream to remain together forever for the sake of the world and create a parallel between Ymir and the king and Mikasa and Eren. As i said earlier, Hange didn't do it for fame or recognition, she did it so humanity could keep surviving and so Levi could see the world without walls that he talked about in front of her in uprising.
I think no matter what happens, Levi will Never forget them as long as he lives just like Mikasa will never forget Eren.
So i guess that's it.. I sincerely am grateful to Isayama for not letting me down with his story, for creating amazing, relatable, Human characters, for sending me on a rolercoaster of emotions every month and it was so many emotions from depression, to thrill, to happiness, to anger... 🥲
I think just like the editor said i will reread the story from the beginning and with the ending in mind. It should give me a whole new perspective!

Elle's Obey Me Fic Recommendations
🌸Your Coal by Angrish(LettuceBean)
Truth be told, I belong to the "forgive but don't forget camp" in lieu of what happened in Chapter 16; reading Angrish's YC and how their MC coped with the aftermath(+ how others coped along with them) felt really powerful, raw and so so emotional. It made me think and really think about how I processed the whole thing that happened. While it didn't really change my outlook on how I have forgiven Belphie for what he had done, Angrish shedding light to the unanswered questions and lingering doubts the main story have left most of its readers was done in such a thoughtful and poetic way that I found myself binge reading the whole thing.
Given that I read this whole coping with a lot of stuff as well (and may have contributed with sympathising a lot more to the vindictiveness of the MC), reading what Angrish had written was really cathartic. Their writing style is also beautiful--the way the words string together, simple, elegant, yet impactful really made MC's emotions a lot...tangible, real and sometimes, frustrating (in a good way, mind you). I also liked how they had fleshed out the other characters, especially Belphegor, Satan and the Purgatory Hall members.

I remembered clicking on this fic because of the author's punny name, stayed for the pretty writing and reread a few several times for the characterisation and THE WRITING. I'm pretty sure I left a litany of praises and incomprehensible gushing on the comments section because of how much I've devoured this piece of art.
Even as I'm typing this review, I can't seem to organise my thoughts haha. You can tell by the writing style that the author had a lot of fun writing their prose; it permeates through the screeen...my "screen" of imagination at least. I am not joking--the writing is so pretty and vivid that I literally saw it as a movie in my head lol. I chatted with them a bit on the comments and they said the prose is more of something they had written subconsciously; it reminded me of James Joyce and how he had masterfully perfected the same technique. Of course, their writing styles differ a lot from each other, but I can see what they meant.
...as I'm typing this, I didn't realise how I haven't talked about the plot of the fic at all soz. This piece is the author's character study of Lucifer. It talks about how he was before, during and after the fall. He is a bit of an unreliable narrator, which I'm not sure if the author intended, but he has all these presumptions that miss the mark so so much, particularly at how his brothers, Lord Diavolo and the others perceive him--but reading the whole thing would make you understand why he had gotten to that kind of self-perception in the first place. And honestly? It really, really hurt to read. But was it bad? The total opposite of that, in fact! I loved how they had written the angst in this piece. So many things in the fic are "show, rather than tell" and I really really appreciate that.
Most of my brainrot about this fic is better to be explored on your own. Overall, 10/10: a definite, recommended read.
🌸Fairy Tales for the Fallen by indiavolowetrust
I haven't fully devoured all of the stories in the collection yet, but the ones I've read (Her Name Was Thousand Eyes is my favourite) was such a really good spin on dark fairy tales (Obey Me style!). It reminded me of my childhood Little Mermaid picture book for some reason. Probably the writing style(the author's writing reads a lot like a storybook) The one I had was Hans Christian Andersen's (aka the OG) version and the ending was rather...dark for a 5 year old lol. It was a big part of my life though and was probably the precursor for my affinity with sad stories haha.

Like tea on a tiring day, Taciturn's writing style feels very homey, cozy and familiar. I love rereading this oneshot when I'm having a shitty day and imagining myself having tea with Barbatos haha. Ever had pieces of art or literature that just...relaxes you when you consume it? This one is one of my, as the youngsters say, "comfort fic" haha.

Reading him blush and become flustered is CUTE and aaaaa this whole fic is just really cute.🥺♡

Sondepoch's Satan oneshot was the very first fic I read in the OM fandom so it has a special place in my heart~ I remembered how awkward it was to skim through the Satan filters, looking for a gen fic/SFW fic because around that time, most OM fics are smut (no shade on smut ofc, I'm just super uncomfortable reading them unless the writing is really pretty or there's something else going on in the story). Finding GEN AND A WELL-WRITTEN CHARACTER STUDY about my (former) favourite OM character was like I hit the jackpot. I remembered that feeling really well haha. My bias with one of my favourite forms of fic (char. study) aside, Sondepoch's writing is easy on the eyes and is definitely a great entry for anyone who wants to be in the OM fandom.

One of my more recent reads and definitely worth a mention!♡ Read Me was a beautifully written, heartfelt two-shot about Lucifer's love, which he tried his best to express in penned words. Probably because of my own love letter-themed OM series, this one really stuck to me haha. The author is also really sweet. :3
🌸Schrodinger by fickleminder
I read this one around Halloween and it definitely fit the occasion. Schrodinger was such a great thriller/horror fic with how it set its unsettling atmosphere from the very beginning--the way fickleminder's writing just sucks you in and makes you bystand the whole ordeal between Belphegor and MC was just...so suspenseful? Nail biting? Creepy (in a good way ofc)? I won't spoil the ending, but the process and way they tackled it was a lot scarier than what I was initially bracing myself for.

Seeing another Obey Me mystery in AO3 really hyped me up! Polandspringz did a spectacular job in writing this series and I can relate so much with their experiences in writing for mystery. Their writing style is easy on the eyes--I also really liked how they characterised the OM characters I have read on their series so far. There's still quite a lot of stuff left in speculation (from my most recent reading at least), and I really look forward to see how everything unfolds!

I am very very uncomfortable with smut content, so the smut I've read can be counted on one hand. ;; That is to say, TS is one of the few smut that I really, really enjoyed. First of all, Levi's characterisation is on point. It was really really interesting to get in his head and read about his thought process. What is envy? And how much does the sin of envy really define him?
I really enjoyed Levi's internalisations, as well as the author's writing style. If you want smut with a brooding, jealous otaku boy, I really recommend this one!

because this is my first event and im a long way from the main story confessions + i have no friends to thought vomit this with
mammon’s was refreshingly honest and i wish he was able to finish! i mean by nature of the magic he had to be honest but gosh it’s always so nice when he’s not being a total tsundere... depending on your response he does kinda go back there but if you tell him youre happy to be alone with him he’s super honest. tells mc that so long as theyre happy, he’s happy, but his confession ends before he can drop that sweet sweet ILY and GRRR DAMMIT!! 2nd place for me, close second
asmo’s confession was a little... hm. i think the main saving grace for me was that if you choose the option that shows your disappointment, he’s actually pretty sad about it. dude praises himself first, and depending on your take on asmo, it either proves to you how self-centered he is or you can take it as his insecurities kinda jumping out? idk, but i was at least not as taken aback as i was with lucifers lmfaoo

belphie’s was nice, he was very cute in his confession, and if you let him he gives mc head pats and has less brat vibes! he tells mc he wants to pamper them sometimes and you can either lean into it or say its not like him, which makes him say yeah he still prefers being spoiled lol. i didn’t find it as heart fluttering as i wish it were, but it’s not in the bottom.
beel’s ofc revolved around you and food, idk call it a bias again but him getting all blushy and sweet gets me. he just goes right into the confession and both options at the end of it lead to him telling mc that seeing them eat with a smile on their face makes him happiest. i still really wish theyd go beyond just the food and hunger angle with him tho

Hey Star! I have a random question for you. What sport do you think each of the main AOT characters would win the gold medal in at the Olympics?
Hi anon! This was so much fun to think about, and hopefully you enjoy my answers! But take them with a pinch of salt—I haven’t watched the Olympics since I was eight or nine years old (you can thank my beloved grandmother for that), so this took a bit of research! I’m not an expert on this stuff, but I hope these make sense! (And this includes both summer and winter sports, I just combined the two together!)
I can see Eren as someone who would compete in Judo, given his strength and history with close combat fighting. Also, I imagine Annie was the one who taught him, and she can be his personal trainer (and the girl who constantly kicks his ass lol). But don’t sell him short, he’s great at it!
Mikasa would probably go for weightlifting. I mean; have you seen those gorgeous Ackerman abs of hers?! And she’s always lifting things around and working out. She’d be perfect for it! Either that, or maybe boxing. I can see her getting all worked up in the ring and knocking opponents out one by one.
We all know Armin isn’t the most physical of the bunch, so it was hard to settle on a sport for him. But at the end of the day, I can see him as someone who works behind the scenes, as maybe a personal trainer for Eren or Mikasa. Maybe in his free time he would love to compete in swimming (our boy does love the ocean) but I’m not sure he would full-on compete in the Olympics with that. It’s ok Armin, we still love you!
Jean would probably be into a plethora of things. It’s hard to pinpoint one specific sport for him, but given his extensive combat experience and keen eye, I think he would go for the pentathlon sports. It takes a lot of strength and accuracy for those activities, so I think he would be perfect for them!
Connie is the speediest of the bunch, so he’d go for something centered around running or cycling. He’s the same case as Jean—it’s hard to put him down for one single sport. So I headcanon him to be interested in the triathlon sports. It gives him a variety of activities and a chance to show off his speed!
Sasha would definitely be into archery. A bit self explanatory if you know her character and her past haha! Her aim is awesome and she can be incredibly focused when she wants to be! I think she would excel in this sport!
Blame the fanart and fanfic, but I think Levi would be amazing at figure skating. He’s small but sturdy, able to move his body in such elegant ways. Watching him move on the ice would be such a treat to watch!
Leave the most dangerous sports to Hanji, our little thrill seeker. With that in mind, I’d say she would go for something like freestyle skiing, just to get that wild adrenaline rush. And of course, Levi would always be worried about her and warning her to be careful. (But can you imagine Moblit as her personal trainer on the side? The poor man would not stop fretting over her!) But does she ever listen to either Levi or Moblit? Of course not.
This might be personal bias, but I like to imagine Erwin as a professional equestrian in a Modern AU, so I’d like to think he’d compete in either dressage, jumping, or basic equestrian eventing. It takes a lot of leg work, sharp accuracy, and a great connection with your horse. But I think Erwin would pull it off. (And his white horse is so gorgeous. The real MVP of AoT is Erwin’s horse, I will not take criticism on this.)

I have a tendency to ramble, so I'm going to try and keep it short😅
Basically Barbatos, Lucifer, and Solomon are down lower, (still love them), but mostly because they seem to be the least emotionally available and this gal right here needs a lot of affirmation and validation, but will never ask for it outwardly. So I find it hard to connect that way.
Belphie, I get it, Sloth is his sin, but I (usually) have a lot of motivation and determination and find it frustrating when I spend time that could have been productive, wastefully. (Tumblr doesn't count bc its my outlet rn lol) So he'd be a good cuddle buddy and friend, but probably not much more than that.
Simeon is kind of neutral ground. I don't really know him that well yet, but he's clearly more sensitive than the first three and more driven than Belphie.
Levi. I wasn't really sure where to put him, so he's here.
Asmo😁 I like him quite a bit. It took me a while to like him, but I see him as the kind of person who I could tell anything and not get judged for it, which is very comforting for me.
Mammon, Beel, Satan- basically a two-way protection system. These guys are my favorite because they seem to be among the most honest/obvious about their feelings. I just really want to hug them.
Luke- (platonic, obvi) anyone who's read my blog knows my siblings are important to me. Luke reminds me of my siblings. Done and done.
Diavolo- He's #1 for a lot of reasons, but its mostly because I relate to him the most. I was an only child for ten years and I wanted siblings. I only had one or two friends bc I had/have helicopter parents. I understand lonely. I understand touch-starved. And he's a big softie! I could keep going but I'm very tired and have a headache now. Thank you for humouring me, and I apologize if t doesn't make much sense.🙃✌

And a couple things I find interesting here! I definitely agree that Asmo would be such a good bff and confidant! I am also a bit surprised by your reasonings for Satan and Lucifer! I think my own personal headcanons get in the way especially when Lucifer is involved, but I feel like Lucifer is more aware of his feelings with MC, and Satan would be a bit more reserved with them I guess? I feel like Lucifer might not be super soft and affectionate in public, but he definitely would be in private. I kinda feel like Satan is still trying to figure out love in general with MC. I'm definitely rambling here and my soft Lucifer bias is showing 😂😂😂
I totally agree with the Belphie stuff too, he's been pretty meh for me, I still don't really know how I feel about him. There's some stuff I like, but a lot I don't as well.

oh, totally. i love a lot of answers from his fan signings, and i really loved that about eren too! some answers are just more accurately reported than others, and the one about levi's type was just said so many different ways by the japanese fans, there's really no reliable way to know what isayama actually said. lmao so i don't take that one to heart as much as some of the other answers. still love that levi doesn't get drunk sm. 🤣
Yeah, and to be honest it’s also influenced by the person that translates the reports. Some of them put their obvious bias and it shows lol. I do like that answer about Levi because it alienates perfectly with my “Levi absolutely loves how tall Eren got” agenda, haha. But I get why some don’t take that interpretation and it’s fine <3

Hi! I really liked your analysis, as well as your post-war Levi fiction. I would like to ask you something, and I'm aware that it may not be very interesting, but do you think that even if someone would show Levi (post war) romantic interested he would closed them off? I'm not sure if he would be more open to the idea (now that his life is not constantly in danger) or firmly against it (in part for his injuries, in part for various issues of his past). Do you think he would trust the person who wants to pursue him if they are Marleyan? (I personally think it wouldn't be a problem.) What would be his greatest fear in this situation?

Hi there, and thank you so much! Your ask isn’t boring at all! These are exactly the sorts of asks I would love to get more of, in fact, haha.
It’s a really interesting question. Levi is I think probably the most “shipped” character in SNK, meaning I see him paired with just about everyone by various fans, and I find it interesting because I think Levi is maybe the most likely character to have never been “romantically” involved with anyone. That isn’t to say he’s never been with anyone physically (I really can’t say one way or another, though I might lean toward him not even having done that), but Levi strikes me as the kind of person who would, as you said, have a very difficult time letting something develop between him and another person, not necessarily because he doesn’t want to, but just that Levi has a hard time talking to and expressing himself with people. Romance in particular seems like something that would be really hard for him, for one because he’s so dedicated to helping OTHER people, to giving his strength and his life to fighting for and defending the dreams of other people, that pursuing his own joy or happiness would almost be like a foreign concept to him, I think. I also think it’s possible that Levi might just be asexual, or not have any real interest in sex. He’s so determined to keep himself and his person under control and clean, etc... that I think he might find physical intimacy with another person uncomfortable at best, and maybe even repulsive. This is all just pure speculation on my part though, lol. As you said, once the war ended, and he no longer felt obligated to his duty, he might be more open to being in a relationship, though, again, I think he might find it difficult just because Levi is so awkward with people. I definitely don’t think the person’s race or nationality would have any bearing on Levi’s willingness though. Levi seriously doesn’t strike me as someone who would have any sort of bias in that regard. And then his physical handicaps after the war might make him uncertain, as well as his height (which I think is a genuine area of self-consciousness for him).
I feel like I’m not doing a very good job of answering this question, lol. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I do have a hard time seeing Levi actually being in a romantic relationship. I think he would have a hard time even knowing where to start in terms of getting involved with someone seriously. His whole life has been spent in survival mode, and so practicality and pragmatism have played a big role in how he lives his life (fanciful notions having little room to grow when he’s constantly fighting for his and others lives, etc...) and he’s so used to losing the people he cares about too, that I think that would be a factor, a constant fear in the back of his head, that if he allowed himself to grow really attached to someone, he would eventually lose them somehow.
I would love though to see Levi find love, to be able to find someone to really love him and take care of him. He would deserve that so much. I definitely feel like if he was going to get involved romantically with someone, they would have to be the ones to really pursue him. I can’t see Levi really pursuing someone himself. But maybe if someone were to really be insistent and not give up, Levi might eventually give in, haha. It would take a lot of patience and understanding, though, I think. The person interested in him would themselves have to be very open and understanding and, well, not selfish. They would have to give Levi the time and space he needed to really start to open up and feel comfortable, and to getting to learn about and understand who Levi really is underneath his sometimes harsh and blunt exterior. Anyone who was patient enough though would be rewarded with getting to know probably the most compassionate and kind hearted person they’ll ever meet.

Do you think Eren needs some development in some sides too? If so what are they?
I virtually don’t know anything about Eren post time skip, thanks to Isayama’s wonderful choices in writing these past 2 arcs... So judging Eren now feels like trying to understand Zeke and his inner psychology by just having the chapters from RtS and the early Marley arc (so his facade-y personality, small glimpses of his trauma and real self, and most importantly how others perceived him in-story (i.e: as evil/an enemy). It would just end up being a biased and incomplete - so, partially wrong - analysis).
However, I can say that it seemed Eren should have probably relearned to stop putting everything on his shoulders, ideally, but let’s just acknowledge that everyone and everything that happened did that to him. It’s similar to Levi’s, except Levi’s is mainly caused by his childhood and his own adult insecurities (and a partially conscious choice, imo), meanwhile Eren’s was literally beat into him by the story, too. What I mean is, different people in the story ordered/told Eren to take responsibility for humanity/their safety all alone and made him feel “important” only based on that, but Levi chose to do that bc he feels like he’s worth anything only if he uses his strength for something (crazy how this never applied to Mikasa, even though she has the same type of strength Levi has...which means that’s peculiar to Levi’s arc and personality). Anyway, the power they were “blessed” with really just burdened them because they ultimately wanted to do something good with it. Eren’s story has received particular focus on this, by showing how he struggled with it (it’s poignant how this was interconnected to and pushed forward by Levi himself): as the story progressed, Eren experienced the pros and cons of working with and believing in the people around him, and those of believing and doing things on his own terms. He seemed to have come to a conclusion at the end of Uprising: to trust in his friends’ power, because he really doesn’t have to do everything alone. Except then, the story punished him for it, with a good serving of trauma and betrayal in RtS. And reiterated how he has inherited a mission, that he should finish it if he wants to “save everyone”, and that the sacrifices he will have to make are going to follow him until he has repaid them, with his death probably. He then started thinking again that he would gladly give his life for the cause. So I’m not sure there is any more development in regards to this. The story has pushed for this answer.
I am not sure what Eren’s deal is right about now, but if what he is doing is because he feels he is the only one that can do something significant about the whole mess their world is in, then it was mainly caused by the situation he was put in by Grisha/Kruger/the AT, fate, the world or whatever (I’m still not sure, I think we will be able to have a better understanding once we know everything/the scope of what he saw in his memories and his full thought process after it). I don’t know if it’s something he needs to overcome because it seems to me that it’s merely used as a plot device to push the story, the themes and the other characters onwards. If Isayama really wants to portray how someone can become “evil” even if they have good intentions, then I feel like he never felt for Eren the same kind of empathy he seems to feel for other characters. So if other characters are meant to grow and overcome their struggles, Eren is meant (for Isayama) to be the bad apple, the lost cause, the specimen used to illustrate a concept, express an idea.
Maybe it’s my bias, maybe it’s the lack of focus on Eren’s inner thoughts - a specific choice Isayama made, but I’ve been feeling like every character is being treated as “characters”, so people with a well-defined arc. Meanwhile, Eren is The Concept, the plot device that moves the story forward but isn’t seen as a person worth that will get a satisfying ending, sympathy, or understanding, because he is just Bad and Wrong.
If he really believes in world destruction as a solution, that’s gonna be uh, problematic of course but also ooc (IMO), but atm I’m not sure if he really thinks that or if he’s faking it. I’m pretty sure there is more to it than what meets the eye. If he’s become really so cold and edgy and that’s all there is to it, then you’re gonna hear me complain, but it’s gonna be about Isayama’s writing choices. Eren is damn near perfect for me lol.
Because all of his major flaws... he already overcame them. Though some were resolved kind of off-screen (talking about Eren forgiving RBA and acknowledging that he was blinded by ignorance of the whole situation). And before anyone asks, I disagree with all those hot takes stating Eren wants to impose his own definition of freedom on the world.
Part of me thinks Eren is actually believing in everyone’s fortitude, not his own. I believe he simply accepted the role pushed on him, that of the devil, and is betting on everyone managing to stop him and solving the situation he is setting up for them. It is still in line with his belief that he would sacrifice himself for them, and with him ultimately trusting in his friends (chapter 112 solidified this for me).
So if I read his character like that (and not under the lenses of “Isayama wants to show how baddie Eren can become”), Eren just...has no development he needs to go through anymore. He already went through it all and has made his choice, steeled his resolve and his truth. The other characters are instead unsure, they are wavering in their beliefs and everything they have done until now, and what they have to do from now on. Eren is past that point, he has gone through that alone and away from the readers’ eye, so maybe that’s what we will see once we get the truth behind all of his current actions.
