Mo Xuanyu goes into his first mermaid hunting to please his father and become part of the Jins but, instead of hunting the mermaid he befriends it

Or he

He lears that the mermaid name is Xue Yang, from a old clan that it´s almost just him and his family

Months latter, his father found out and Xue Yang gets captured and Xuanyu praised for tricking a mermaid into trusting him

Now JGS plans to use the mermid for his own good, as a war weapon and Xuanyu must see his friend (and crush) get hurt and decay day by day

one of my favorite headcanons with little to no canon support is that xue yang and mo xuanyu were guidao jin disciples at the same time, and mxy mentioned a few times wanting to ressurect the yiling laozu to kill his mom's evil family, so when xy saw him (or rather his body) entering yi city AS the yllz, he was like "son of a bitch he actually did it"

MDZS characters as Threads posts, part 1

My small collection with designs by Xue Yang and Mo Xuanyu from mdzs in different AU.

Those who are somehow familiar with my arts know how much I like to draw them together. Besides the fact that I like their canonical designs, they didn't suit me for certain subjects and I came up with others. I've already posted three of the four sketches.

1. Mo Village AU.

The design of this homewear was specially designed for a role-playing game, the plot of which is based on the life of Yang and Yu in Lanling. According to the plot, due to some circumstances, the guys go to the Mo village to visit the Xuanyu's family. They stay there and rest before returning to the sect.

On the one hand Wei Sect AU Mo Xuanyu is generally better-adjusted and spent more of his life in a more stable and supportive environment so I don’t think he’d put Meng Yao on such a pedestal. On the OTHER hand, it would be interesting if Mo Xuanyu still developed feelings for him and, instead of scorning him, Meng Yao sat him down and they talked about it -- about Mo Xuanyu’s trauma and his history, his desperate need to love and be loved in return, the way those desires can warp and distort under the weight of such an ugly childhood. Good big brother Meng Yao who comforts Mo Xuanyu, establishes firm boundaries, and helps him come up with a plan for how to work through this. They both agree to spend some time apart, and it kinda sucks for both of them because they really were quite close, but in the end they come out the other side with a solid and stable brotherly bond and Mo Xuanyu has a much easier time developing much healthier attachments to people who are not biologically related to him. Meng Yao is so proud of him and so happy to see him thriving! Until Mo Xuanyu starts flirting with Xue Yang and Xue Yang starts flirting back and Meng Yao is once again left wondering if maybe it wouldn’t be better to just fling himself off the top of koi tower and give up on life, actually. Wei-gongzi says he’s not allowed to commit, no matter how much he wants to, because they’re a proper sect now and someone needs to do the administrative work and that someone is Meng Yao, but maybe if Meng Yao asks very, very nicely... Nah. Wei Wuxian would just end up reanimating him anyway. Which means he’s going to have to find a way to cope with this. Fuck.

Once again lamenting about the lack of good mo xuanyu fics..... I miss him

The problem is that Nie Huaisang has evidently spent too long trying to butter young Mo Xuanyu up. He's told the Jin bastard long and eloquent about how the way he's treated is wrong, about how his half-brother was wrong. About how he was no kind of brother, Nie Huaisang's brother (and technically a half-brother too at that) would never dream of such treatment, would roll in his grave at the thought. About how noble and just Nie Mingjue was, and how he deserved his justice, a man so great, killed so young by a man so foul.

The thing is, Nie Huaisang may have buttered Mo Xuanyu up a little too much and in all the wrong ways. The arm he intends to release onto Mo Village is not looking like it's going to go and wreck havoc anywhere any time soon. Or you know, ever.

His brother's arm, in this moment, is really just an arm. There's nothing demonic about it, it's exactly how Nie Huaisang had always wished this would turn out. Except now it's a problem, because Mo Xuanyu, Nie Huaisang is sure, has several deep cuts bleeding out of an arm that now belongs to somebody else.

Nie Huaisang gently prods his brother's left arm one more time in the vain hope of eliciting some response. Nothing happens.

Well, this situation warrants it. Nie Huaisang swears. He swears long and creatively and enough that even Sect Leader Jiang might raise an eyebrow. (Not Da-ge though, not as long as Nie Huaisang didn't do it in front of polite company at least.)

And it's not even  that Nie Huaisang has to rush over to Mo Village to save a life. Da-ge is a noble man, a just one. A man who won't take kindly to family pushing around a young man, locking him up and treating him like dirt. Honestly, a confused angry and recently awoken Da-ge might even unintentionally provoke the Mos enough to reveal some of the worst parts of them. And justice is swift.

No Nie Huaisang runs to the centre of Mo Village like his very soul depends on it because Mo Xuanyu has damned all his carefully laid plans, scuppered his chance at revenge and brought it all to ruins. And, of course, Nie Huaisang runs, becuase it's been ten years and now his brother is alive.

being xue yang during the post-timeskip yi city arc must have been so funny. like what would you do if you were hanging in an abandoned city you're haunting yourself, creating fierce corpses, bullying a little girl's ghost, trying to fix your ex's soul while you train HIS ex how to do a backflip

and then, in a day just like the other, demonic Leonardo da Vinci who's been dead for over a decade and is also your greatest idol just Walks In wearing the body of your old evil arts classmate, and you're like "you know what? i'm gonna put on a little show to him. he's gonna be sooooo impressed and then he'll fix xingchen's soul and i might even have time to show him all my yllz merch"

Assassination Classroom AU where all the juniors are tasked with killing Wei Wuxian because he had agreed to giving the juniors a chance to kill him only if he is able to teach them for a whole year. During that year, they are allowed to attempt to kill him whenever they want, they never succeed. Wei Wuxian puts his all into teaching them and giving them advice on how to better attack him, the juniors all adore him but also put their all into killing him because Wei Wuxian told them to.

Sketches of Lanling Jin AU

This topic does not let me go, sorry.

A year ago I had already drawn them together, but these were sketches of their everyday clothes, this time I wanted to convey their role in the clan: Chengmei is an important caster of the order, occupies a special place among the adepts, while Xuanyu is the youngest son of the clan leader, more homely and gentle.

I think even though it's not Yang's job to look after the junior master, he does it anyway because he's sure Xuanyu is too naive (and yes, I still think they spend nights together(⁠｡⁠◕⁠‿⁠◕⁠｡⁠))
