*On a gathering storm comes A tall handsome man In a dusty black coat with A red right hand* The theme song called Red Right Hand by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds links in perfectly because the "tall handsome man whose red right hand is hidden in his coat" is first inspector Campbell and then Hughes as they're both Protestants from Northern Ireland i.e from Ulster, the traditional symbol of which was the red hand and can still be seen on their flag today.  Music in general has been a huge deal in Peaky Blinders. The show has included a beautiful lineup of PJ Harvey, Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, The White Strips, Radiohead, Royal Blood, Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes and others.  The track by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds called Red Right Hand been used in an awful lot of prodctions over the years.
