Isn’t SCP-447 a LOT like what Ectoplasm is in DP x DC fics?
Weird green goop
Can improve things (like how fics often have ecto-infused tech be better than normal tech - e.g. Tucker’s PDA or arguably much of the Fentonworks tech in general), or sometimes just breaks them
Those improvements can be given to living things, like how Liminal folks are often portrayed as stronger than baseline humans
When put in SCP-914 on 1:1 mode (meaning it’d be transformed into something “equivalent”), it was turned into a dead body, implying the nature of the substance has something to do with death
Harvested from a small sphere that is described as being the same temperature as a human body (could fit as being a “ghost core”)
Ooh wait that could be combined with the SCP-914 thing - it tried to recreate the body of the person the core is from
Has some sort of Bad effect on corpses - like how the Lazarus water can resurrect the dead but not without issues (“pit madness” or becoming zombie-y or etc)
Being studied by scientists who are often a bit stupid, which the GIW and Fentons can definitely qualify as
(Obviously i’m not saying there’s any intentional connection, i just thought of it randomly and had thoughts)

Speaking of canon, it still makes me laugh and feel so god damn warm and fuzzy that people liked Gig's antics and character so much, they just decided he was canon to their series too. Gig belongs here, he's always belonged here, the invader of other realms.

A Request
I have completed Swords of Sorrows, the multicross Event comic starring a bunch of Dynamite’s female characters, made by an all-female creative team, from..I don’t recall when exactly and I don’t have the patience to look it up.
Anyways, a bunch of the character are ‘90s Bad Girls, or are here presented as being part of that aesthetic. In fact, they feel a need to point out that they’re not heroes repeatedly.
A lot of them are also characters whom I considered to be Pulp heroes.
And now I’m reminded of a project I once did where I tried to fuse the two genres, by creating ‘90s Bad Girl characters based on classic Pulp Heroes, though I never got past Silver Stinger and Jade, who my bad Girl versions of the Green Hornet and Kato.
I wanna revive this project now, anyone interested in participating?

had a dream last night... i dont remember exactly the rationale for why exactly it made sense, but there was a lot of metafictional multicross isekai nonsense.
i was a mad scientist/girl genius spark of sorts, I think, and everyone i met had some sort of weird powers, even powers out of fiction. i remember thinking something like 'if i ended up in the bnha part of the world/in the bnha universe, i could be a properly ~quirkless~ science hero' (no matter that having mad science superpowers... is a kind of quirk... chalk it up to fanfic dream logic, i guess)
i remember at one point i was at... some kind of outdoors event or convention, maybe...? and i found someone's cortical stack in a ditch. but to be clear, it wasn't actually a cortical stack, because dream logic - it was a cassette tape someone kept on their person for similar benefits, logging the important parts of their persona to the reel
i couldn't listen to the tape, per se (or maybe i could, and i did, but that wasn't enough to pull the girl inside out into an executable environment - both because the tape contents weren't meant to be instantiated that way and because it data-corrupted somehow). so i just felt sad about it and kept going.
as the dream continued, i stumbled upon some family drama boiled over to the point of violence; a bunch of teenagers actually, physically fighting each other, with intent to kill. and i inexplicably realized both that one of them was the girl from the cassette tape, before she could have ever died and left it behind, and that i'd been put in a position to time-travel fix-fic the situation.
the girl was... azula? or someone like azula in certain respects, as a girl constantly having a meltdown and hiding her turmoil by taking it out on everyone else with extreme violence and prejudice. (though given the number of firebenders i encountered in the dream, she might have literally been some kind of AU azula.) and as i watched, she was pinned back to a wall and mummified by some kind of... candy manipulator?
total licorice/candycane straitjacket. complete enclosure in rock candy to a level that you would expect to be lethal. the kids suffocating the girl to death didn't care, both because they were washing their hands of the girl and because the candy was some kind of mystical bullshit magic substance that was de-aging the girl, making her younger until she fizzled out of existence, or otherwise undermining her in a way more sophisticated than violence, such that her own version of the cassette cortical stack would be useless to bring her back to life.
i felt my heartstrings getting tugged for this girl, who was like, extremely fucked up and ‘abusive’, but also only fucked up and abusive because she was a maladjusted child with no support system, and she was literally getting thrown away in real time
so i took the ruins of what was left of her - her clothes and such trapped in the candy chrysalis - and extricated her cassette tape from her pockets. its pointer to her soul/consciousness/etc was useless, because her soul had been zeroed out, but i used superscience (homestuck alchemy? a chevalier-like item merging process?) to combine the new tape (with a pointer to her soul) with the old tape i found in a ditch (with her memory/personality/soul data on it) such that i did have a complete magical phylactery/state vector for her.
and i began playing and rewinding the tape to reach out to her, talk to her, show her someone cared about her as i worked on getting her a new body to use.
