Man Lancer is such a cool TTRPG
I love having a gun that doesn’t exist yet :D
I love such silly abilities as APOCALYPSE RAIL
I love shackling a sentient extradimensional non human mind inside of a robot and brain fucking it until it can understand humans
Such a wonderful game

Really love this part of In Golden Flame
Tumblr media
If you are piloting the one mech that mounts a fucking capital-ship grade railcannon on it you can just... Shoot down the orbital laser that's hangs over the entire mission like a menacing sword of damocles.
That's a thing you can just do. Just blapp it out of orbit.
I adore so much that the authors put that in as an option. Especially since at this point the PC's have just gotten to Level 2 and gotten hold of their unique mech chassis' instead of the generic starter ones.
So the person riding around in their brand new HA Barbarossa will feel like they're a huge badass after using their new cool mech to shoot down a orbital death laser.
Also, I love the Barbarossa so fucking much.
It's one of my favorite mechs
Tumblr media
Just fucking look at it and it's anti-orbital platform railgun.

hmmm...artillery balor...
I could tell you about how completely unsuited the Balor is to this task, but you know what? Fuck it. Okay. Remember: you asked for this.
-- HORUS Balor @ LL6 -- [ LICENSES ] HORUS Balor 2, HA Barbarossa 3, SSC Metalmark 1 [ CORE BONUSES ] Auto-Stabilizing Hardpoints, Superior by Design [ TALENTS ] Leader 3, Siege Specialist 3, Engineer 3 [ STATS ] HULL:2 AGI:2 SYS:0 ENGI:4 STRUCTURE:4 HP:21 ARMOR:0 STRESS:4 HEATCAP:10 REPAIR:5 TECH ATK:+1 LIMITED:+2 SPD:4 EVA:8 EDEF:10 SENSE:5 SAVE:13 [ WEAPONS ] Integrated: Prototype Weapon III MAIN MOUNT: SUPERHEAVY WEAPON BRACING HEAVY MOUNT: Siege Cannon (Nanocomposite Adaptation) // Auto-Stabilizing Hardpoints [ SYSTEMS ] Hive Drone, Personalizations, Armament Redundancy, Reactive Weave, Type-3 Projected Shield
I call this One Trick Man.
You pick a target you don't want to deal with today and hit them with Type-3 Projected Shield. You pick a firing position out of line of sight of your enemies, preferably with hard cover, and put down your Hive Drone. You wait until your second turn.
At the start of your second turn, you observe the state of the battlefield from your artillery nest. If there's a large cluster of enemies, you fire the Siege Cannon in Siege Mode, and if there's just one target you particularly want obliterated, you use Direct Fire Mode.
You never worry about cover or even line of sight because your Siege Cannon has Nanocomposite Adaptation, meaning that as long as the shell has some path onto target it will always get there, and with Auto-Stabilizing Hardpoints your shots will rarely miss. If you use Siege Mode, you'll have to Stabilize next turn to reload it, but that'll also clear your heat so it's fine. If you use Direct Fire Mode, you can just do the exact same thing again for several turns before you need to stabilize.
Literally everything else about this mech is a contingency to stop you from losing your Siege Cannon. We have Armament Redundancy to let you ignore the first weapon loss. We have Reactive Weave to make you invisible if you need to brace. We have Hive Drone to make you harder to hit. We have Type-3 Projected Shield if an enemy ever gets within visual range of you. You have 21 HP and regenerate 5 every time you take a turn.
And, in your darkest hour, if ever there comes a situation in which you cannot use the Siege Cannon, you have the Engineer Prototype III, which can still deal damage in an area and be accurate about it.
Congratulations. You will spend the rest of your piloting career like a washed-up Tory: lurking in the backbenches, hurling abuse at people you've never even seen.

Tonight's Lancer session was so much fun. I got plenty of chances to use the Leviathan mounted in the shoulder boombox on my Everest, Big Red. Every single time I fired that fucker, an enemy just got deleted in a hail of bullets. The combat lasted 8 turns, and I got 5 kills.
This is what I picture the cockpit of Scarlet's mech looking like at the end lol
Tumblr media
What's really funny is what's gonna happen the next time there's combat. See, another member of our team, Fern Tiramisu, is currently using an alt frame of the Lancaster called a Taraxacum.
Tumblr media
Why is this funny? Because this mech can fly/hover, like a quad-leg build in Armored Core, and can carry a size 1 mech. So, Fern and I have agreed that next combat, I'm gonna hop on the back of Harsh and Unblinking Gaze, activate the siege stabilizers I stole from the Barbarossa license, and then I'll be immobilized... but the mech I'm riding won't be!
With our powers combined, we're gonna become an AC-47 Spooky!
Lancer really is so much fun, I love this fuckin game lmfao

[OOC] DPS Swallowtail build for supports who want to ball
The other day I was pondering how to make the most of Death's Head Main/Aux + Heavy mounts, and thought "I't such a shame I have to get to at least LL4 before I can get the Oracle LMG-1 so all my weapons have at least range 15"
And then it hit me: forget the Death's Head. Just get Swallowtail.
Have Crack Shot and Gunslinger at LL0. For the first two levels, advance Gunslinger. By the time you unlick the Swallowtail and the OLMG-1 you'll have Gunslinger 3.
Mount 4 LMGs so you can charge your Gunslinger Die faster by Barraging. 4d3 damage isn't a lot, but thanks to Arcing and Accurate from the LMGs and the further accuracy from Crack Shot, you can pump it consistently every turn even if your enemies are behind walls; and every 2-3 turns you get to do 4d3+2d6 damage (min 6 - avg 15 - max 24) half of which is AP and ignores cover. if you invested in Systems once or twice, you'll still have enought SP for +2 HP from Modifications as well as Scout Drone, which helps your team without requiring a lot of actions from you; which is good because you want to be shooting as much as possible.
At LL3, get Integrated Mount and another LMG so you can charge the Gunslinger die even faster, potentially even using it EVERY TURN if all your shots hit. Also Crack Shot 2 for another 1d6 damage on a crit. Get the Siege Stabilizers from Barbarossa to bring your machineguns to a crisp 20 range.
At LL4, Crack Shot 3 so you can harass as well as damage like a Swallowtail is "supposed" to do.
At LL6 get Overpowered Caliber and Brutal. Do up to 4d6+5d3 damage when all your bonuses come together (min 9 - avg 24 - max 39), potentially even every round, which on a Nat20 becomes just a straight 39.
The only real weaknesses I see are:
If you want to be a good support as well as a good sniper you'll need to invest heavily in systems for not as much return as a dedicated hacker, but honestly I think being able to both support decently and shoot pretty damn well is a winning strategy.
Armor can make most of your attack ineffective since you rely on many weak weapons instead of one strong one. However, both Prophetic Scanners and Gunslinger 3 can bypass armor.
Might make this into an in-character post later

Fashion in Fódlan part iii: yet another very long and entirely unsolicited FE3H costume design analysis
This time, we're focusing specifically on the placement of quivers, because that's a very normal thing to get caught up in and I'm very normal.
[Part 1, focused on money and social aspects in all three countries; Part 2, focused on political aspects between church/empire; bonus part 2.5, regarding a crown]
This post came about because of this video from @blumineck (who posts lots of cool stuff btw, go check out his blog), which talks about quiver types and their purposes, pros and cons, etc.
Shall we?
So, while watching that video, I remembered for whatever reason that Cyril has a back quiver, but Ashe has a hip quiver.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The reason my brain went there was that I immediately thought "Oh, Cyril actually does more hunting and physical labor than Ashe, and as demonstrated in the video, a back quiver is more practical for him. That makes sense - great attention to detail, FE3H character designers!"
I figured that would likely carry over to other characters, specifically our other canonically talented hunters. Therefore, Leonie and Petra should also have back quivers, yes?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wrong! Leonie has a hip quiver, and Petra has no quiver.
That's odd, so let's look into this a little deeper. Here are the other canon archers:
Shamir
Tumblr media
Claude
Tumblr media
Ignatz
Tumblr media
Bernadetta
Tumblr media
You will note that Ignatz and Claude don't have quivers in their outfits, but Claude does wear a hip quiver in an animated 2d cutscene. Ignatz we've already determined is a bit if an anarchist, so nothing interesting there - he will be benched from the discussion.
The really notable thing here, which I'm sure you've picked up on, is that everyone except Cyril uses hip quivers.
BUT WAIT!
Let's consider Claude again. Check out his final class, Barbarossa:
Tumblr media
What's that I spy? A back quiver???
Surely you can make the connection easily: Our two token Almyrans are the *only* people with back quivers.
So, why is that?
Let's return to the others, briefly. What do Ashe, Leonie, and Bernadetta all have in common? Their skills set them up for becoming bow knights. Shamir just wants to remain a sniper, but can go that direction as well.
Mounted archery almost always uses hip quivers, according to my research (*cough cough duck duck go image search "mounted archery"*), so it makes sense that all of our innate archers have those hip quivers.
What makes Claude and Cyril different? Well, thanks to Almyran typecasting, they are both placed on wyverns, not horses! That means significantly more mobility than the bow knights (bow knights aren't doing loop-de-loops), so they need their quivers to be more secure! Boom, mystery solved!
...or is it?
Of course not. It always goes deeper.
Tell me, history buffs: Throughout world history, who are among the most famous horse archers? What group of people most immediately comes to mind? Among whom, exactly, were armies of mounted archers a defining feature?
If you said Mongolians, you were right.
And how, pray tell, do Mongolian horseback archers wear their quivers?
Tumblr media
ON THEIR BACKS. CHECKMATE.
(I tried to find name of this archer to credit her but couldn't track it down. She was the winner of a competition that took place during a festival in Inner Mongolia, China at some point in the last like 15 years, so incredibly skilled. Wish I could point y'all in her direction for more cool stuff!)

hey so normal one here for you. one of my lancemates is a full h armoury bootlicker (actually kinda useful bc they let me climb all over their barbarossa) but they recently got access to the apocalypse rail and hrrrnngfbdbgbff <<<<<3333333. i NEED ONE but i’m a goblin pilot and i don’t want to give her up :( any tips for mounting a superheavy weapon to my little mabalicious (name of my mech btw)
well luckily GMS released the schematics for a universally compatible superheavy mount a few months ago, weve tested it and it does in fact work for goblins

Greetings, may I get some help with your tech? I am planning to arc weld your amazing piece of experimental equipment, the mighty Apocalypce Rail, to a smaller mech, but am a bit concerned by the way to mount it. Do you have any advice on how to mount it in the best way and/or how to not make a mech blow up upon initiation of charge cycle? Some drafts attached
Tumblr media
Thank you in advance.
just get a barbarossa wtf is this

HA Barbarossa
The Barbarossa is Harrison Armory’s most massive frame to date, built, per the orders of Harrison II, to “stand as the unstoppable image of Harrison I” and to carry the heaviest of weapons and equipment the Armory offers. Standing nearly thirteen meters tall, it is an unsubtle beast of a mech, inspiring terror in enemies and awe in allies. The Barbarossa can mount weapons suitable for engaging toe-to-toe with gunboats and low-gross tonnage subline vessels; due to its size and slow maneuverability, it is often employed in low-gravity engagements where mass is less of a concern. The Barbarossa is a popular target for Purview essayists, who have been known to remark on the drawbacks that come with its size and how, as a result, it is a perfect stand-in for their political enemies.

Greetings, I'm Alexios Mikonos, militia commander for New Corynth
Is it possible to buy licenses for Apocalypse Rails as standalone artillery emplacements? I'm looking to beef up ground-to-orbit defenses for our colony but the bugdet can't cover enough full Barbarossa frames for the whole perimeter, nor do we have enough trained mech jockeys to crew them.
We were very satisfied with the performance of your Tachyon Lances, but we can't use them near the agricultural and refinery sectors due to the fire hazard under sustained fire, which has been happening a lot lately.
If it helps motivating you to give me a hand, my rivals in the Defense Council are proposing mortgaging our colonie's genetics to SSC for some Pinaka silos.
Thank you for your request; You can! Our Apocalypse Rails are usually sold only with the Barbarossa frame, but we can do exceptions for things like colony defense forces. We can send 10 deconstructed Apocalypse Rail turrets that can be assembled and placed inside a super-heavy-class emplacement mount, and we're also willing to provide you with a whole Barbarossa, two Shermans and a Legionary-Pilot Training Manual for free as a package deal if you contact us on our supply-line-channels which can be found on the official omni-net site!

I recently came into possession of a Kidd, how would one turn that into flaming ball of death (or something to that effect)? I’ve got a Bligh with enough defensive and heat-absorptions tech (plus a friendly Barbarossa) to tank a nuke to the face and leave all of its buddies unscathed, so ideally it’d be mobile and good in a chase. Additionally, my two NHPs - Medusa and Chrysaor - say hi.
HELLO MEDUSA AND CHRYSAOR!
NOW, FOR TURNING THE KIDD INTO A HELLHOUND: YOU ARE GOING TO TRAIN IN THE WAY OF THE HUNTER. AT LEAST A LITTLE BIT, UNTIL YOU CAN DO THAT LUNGE THING. FOR ONE OF YOUR CORE BONUSES TAKE INTEGRATE WEAPON AND GET A MOUNT YOU CAN PUT AN AUXILIARY WEAPON ON. WITH THAT, WE'RE GOING TO PUT AN AUXILIARY WEAPON IN THAT MOUNT. I RECOMMEND THE SEGMENT KNIFE; IT'S VERY FUN. BEFORE ACCOUNTING FOR YOU OWN SKILLS AND OTHER BONUSES, THIS IS HIGHLY MOBILE. FROM HERE, YOU CAN GO IN ANY NUMBER OF DIRECTIONS. IF YOU WANT THE FLAMING PART TO BE LITERAL, GO WITH TOKUGAWA SYSTEMS; WE WILL BE ABLE TO FOLLOW UP WITH A TORCH ATTACK, AND THE OTHER SYSTEMS WILL ENABLE YOUR WORST IMPULSES (THIS IS A GOOD THING, ACTUALLY). YOU COULD ALSO BUILD DRONES AND BECOME A PACK OF FLAMING BALLS OF DEATH, SENDING IN DRONES TO ATTACK AS YOU ATTACK AND EXPLODING THEM ON FOES AS YOU SEE FIT, AND CHARGING YOUR JOLLY ROGER AS YOU DO SO. HELL, IF YOU REALLY WANT THE MOBILITY, YOU COULD TRAIN AS AN ACE, PICK UP A KRAUL RIFLE, AND JUST...NOTHING IS ESCAPING YOU EVER. FINALLY, WITH ALL THE NHPs INVOLVED, PERHAPS THE WAY OF THE ICONOCLAST WOULD SUIT YOU? THIS WILL LET YOU DO SOME VERY SILLY THINGS AT THE LOW LOW COST OF THE RISK OF A FLAMING BALL OF DEATH FILLED WITH CASCADING NHPs. IS THAT REALLY THAT BAD? AND FINALLY THERE IS THE FORBIDDEN TECHNIQUE (GENGHIS ALL THE WAY, SUPER HEAVY MOUNT, PLASMA THROWER, HAVOK CHARGES). THIS IS DEFINITELY THE MOST LITERAL INTERPRETATION OF A FLAMING BALL OF DEATH. THESE ARE MY GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS; ULTIMATELY, YOU MUST LEARN WHAT KIND OF RISKS AND REWARDS YOU ARE FOND OF, WHAT GAMBLES YOU LIKE TO TAKE, AND LOAD THOSE DICE INTO YOUR CUP. AND REMEMBER, OVERCHARGE EARLY AND OVERCHARGE OFTEN; STRESS IS A RESOURCE!

Finnish Army WW2 Medium Tanks
Another Sequel of  Of Great Projects about Weapons  and Heavy Machinery That Used During Winter War (1939-1940) &  Continuation War (1941-1944). This Time Around Covering Medium Tanks that used by Finn.  Like A Previous Project Finnish Army During WW2 Relied  Captured Soviets Tanks, Obsolete WW1 Products  Or Licensed  Products From Allied Countries Like Germany Disclaimer:Due Heavy Censorship Regarding Swastika Usage in Western Society, The Details of The Tanks Are Replaced With  Roundel Instead of Finnish Hakaristi. Here We go
LINK
Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausführung J The Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausführung J, also known as Gerät 550 or Sonderkraftfahrzeug 161/2, was the last variant of the famed Panzer IV. It was produced from January 1944 to the last days of April 1945 in the Nibelungenwerk (Ni-Werk) factory in Sankt Valentin, northern Austria.
This variant was characterized by many modifications made to the previous models in order to speed up production and save on valuable raw materials.
Sturmgeschütz III Ausführung G The Sturmgeschütz III (StuG III) assault gun was Germany's most-produced fully tracked armoured fighting vehicle during World War II, and second-most produced German armored combat vehicle of any type after the Sd.Kfz. 251 half-track. It was built on a slightly modified Panzer III chassis, replacing the turret with an armored, fixed superstructure mounting a more powerful gun. Initially intended as a mobile assault gun for direct-fire support for infantry, the StuG III was continually modified, and much like the later Jagdpanzer vehicles, was employed as a tank destroyer.
This particular model. the G variant of the StuG III tank destroyer comes with thicker armour of up to 80 mm on the front glacis and a 75 mm StuK 40 L/48 gun that gives the vehicle characteristics on par with a Panzer IV. With this cannon on a low-profile construction due to its casemate design, the StuG III G can prove to be a formidable vehicle in the ambush role.
Soviet T-34/85
The T-34 is a Soviet medium tank from World War II. When introduced, its 76.2 mm (3 in) tank gun was more powerful than its contemporaries,[8] and its 60-degree sloped armour provided good protection against anti-tank weapons. The T-34 had a profound effect on the conflict on the Eastern Front, and had a long-lasting impact on tank design. The tank was praised by multiple German generals when encountered during Operation Barbarossa, although its armour and armament were surpassed later in the war.
Replacing many light and medium tanks in Red Army service, it was the most-produced tank of the war, as well as the second most-produced tank of all time (after its successor, the T-54/T-55 series). With 44,900 lost during the war, it also suffered the most tank losses ever. Its development led directly to the T-44, then the T-54 and T-55 series of tanks, which in turn evolved into the later T-62, that form the armoured core of many modern armies. T-34 variants were widely exported after World War II, and as recently as 2010 more than 130 were still in service.
This Particular Model: The T-34-85 (German designation: T-34/85) was a major improvement with an 85 mm gun in a three-man turret.
Soviet T-28 Model 1938
The T-28 was a Soviet multi-turreted medium tank. The prototype was completed in 1931, and production began in late 1932. It was an infantry support tank intended to break through fortified defences. The T-28 was designed to complement the heavier T-35 (also multi-turreted), with which it shared turret designs. The type did not have great success in combat, but it played an important role as a development project for Soviet tank designers. A series of new ideas and solutions that were tried out on the T-28 were later incorporated in future models.
This Particular Model is T-28 Model 1938 (T-28B) – version with the improved L-10 76.2 mm gun (from 16.5 to 26 calibres). Some older tanks were also backfitted with spare L-10 guns. The rod antenna replaced the horseshoe in early 1939.

So a friend and I have been tooling about with some builds for a Barbarossa and we were looking at talents, what would you recommend for a sort of cannon focussed build, we were thinking siege specialist, nuclear cavalier, brutal and house guard
-- HA Barbarossa @ LL6 -- [ LICENSES ] HA Barbarossa 3, SSC Black Witch 1, HA Sherman 2 [ CORE BONUSES ] Heatfall Coolant System, Auto-Stabilizing Hardpoints [ TALENTS ] Nuclear Cavalier 3, Siege Specialist 3, Grease Monkey 3 [ STATS ] HULL:2 AGI:2 SYS:0 ENGI:4 STRUCTURE:4 HP:17 ARMOR:2 STRESS:4 HEATCAP:12 REPAIR:5 TECH ATK:-2 LIMITED:+2 SPD:3 EVA:8 EDEF:6 SENSE:10 SAVE:13 [ WEAPONS ] Integrated: Apocalypse Rail Integrated: Fuel Rod Gun MAIN MOUNT: Magnetic Cannon MAIN MOUNT: SUPERHEAVY WEAPON BRACING HEAVY MOUNT: Siege Cannon // Auto-Stabilizing Hardpoints [ SYSTEMS ] Redundant Systems Upgrade x3, External Ammo Feed, Ferrous Lash
So basically, this is a very hard-focused ranged DPS build. You want Grease Monkey II because you'll be Stabilizing fairly often, and it lets you rip almost every condition off yourself while doing so. Grease Monkey III also gets you a free additional use of both RSU and Fuel Rod Gun.
Direct Fire Mode
Your turn cycle will usually looks like this:
Turn 1: Move to firing position, shoot gun, Overcharge to perform support action
Turn 2: Move to safety, Overcharge to perform support action, Stabilize
This firing mode is basically impossible to get Heat Capped in if you have even the slightest idea what you're doing, so it has a relatively simple cadence of turns. You WANT to be overcharging most turns to get that additional NucCav damage.
Siege Mode
This firing mode requires more careful heat management, so it doesn't have a single neat turn progression. You can theoretically fire the Siege Cannon two turns in a row if you want to, via Overcharging to run External Ammo Feed at the end of the first turn. This will leave you between 6-8 Heat, though, which is perilously close to Overheat territory if you're not careful about it.
RSU lets you Stabilize as a quick, meaning you can OC to purge heat and reload your weapons while still having a full action to direct-fire the cannon.

NonNG+ Maddening Run Verdant Wind Route - Blood of the Eagle and Lion (and Deer)
Sometimes you just have to trust the coin flip - like I did when dealing with Dimitri, who can counter-attack from any distance and can instantly kill your strongest units in the process.
Drama and war crimes continue as we take on Dimitri and Edelgard once more on Gronder Field.
Highlights below:
Here is the team I brought and how I used them:
Brought along Great Knight Sylvain to tank Dimitri's cavalry units coming from the rear, since they will one-shot any mages who are not across the bridge. Also used to tank monsters along the way to Edelgard. Greatly helped by the Seiros Shield.
Trickster Byleth w/ Rapier+ to deal with the heavy units on the hill. Foul Play was also used to switch places with other units as needed - usually to transport units in danger to safety or to send more effective units to given location.
Wyvern Lord Hilda who is carrying Freikugel but prefers to use her humble Mace+ instead. Used to gambit stun the Kingdom forces and crack open heavy units like nuts. Has Alert Stance+ and Evasion Ring and so can blink tank like it's no one's business.
Barbarossa Claude with Critical Ring). The reason I give Hilda the highly effective Ashes and Dust gambit instead is so that Claude can quickly follow up to Enclose units that are not stunned. As such, they are usually on crowd-control duty.
In particular, Claude was able to deal with Ingrid in two turns this way - Enclosed on the first and crit on the next. It had to be done.
With Dimitri, it was a complete gamble, based on the screenshots on top. But given that he was going to one-shot every last one of us if not stopped, Claude had by far the best chances with a 54 to crit.
Claude, who had a lot to do on this map, also had the honor of completely disrespecting Hubert with a ballista crit.

Poor Hubert. He's had a terrible run. But there's always Enbarr, which is coming up in a few maps.
Sniper Petra who has Hunter's Volley and also Lethality from her time spent as an Assassin - first used to deal with Imperial Fliers and then to help untangle the furball of Kingdom and Imperial infantry units.
Bow Knight Leonie with The Inexhaustible and an Accuracy Ring to help clean up the cavalry units tanked by Sylvain and the swordmaster units stunned by Hilda.
Gremory Lysithea with Thyrsus to melt down cavalry and heavy units. Her adjutant is Lorenz - I like to imagine that they fight over / take turns / share Thyrsus between them.
Dancer Marianne with Blutfang to refresh turns, provide support, and do extra damage where needed.
Bishop Linhardt to keep everyone healthy and warp Felix further up the hill.
Speaking of whom, War Master Felix has Brawl Avo+20 as a result of mastering War Monk and so can blink tank right next to Hilda. Was able to take on the hill solo including dealing with the Petra and Bernie clones. Since he has Healing Focus, getting temporarily stuck on a burning hill was no problem.
For dealing with Edelgard, I used Stride on the group in preparation for a swarm. Felix had other plans and took her on solo. Sometimes you just have to gamble for those crits and crest proc.

... All in all, the Kingdom army is the main problem of this map. The Bernie Ballista will purposefully silence and heavily damage your mages so will be tempted to take the hill. While this can be done, killing too many Imperial guards right off the bat will trigger Dimitri's rampage early. You want to get your fragile units well across the bridge before then, because the Sylvain clone + mounted units have the Passage ability, meaning they can slip past any unit to get to your squishy mages. Cross the bridge, leave behind your best tank, and immediately have a plan to deal with Ingrid who will charge in to greet you.
Don't be afraid to use gambits on the Kingdom forces as needed. Dimitri, in particular, cannot be gambit stunned.
Once you have dealt with the Kingdom army, the rest of the map should be a bit more straightforward. It helps to know well ahead the problems that will arise and have a plan to deal with them as they come.
Good luck!
