Witchy Talk: Sometimes Spells (and recipes) Go Wrong

Yes, my honey cakes didn’t work! Yay!

Ok, so here’s what happened: I wanted to bake honey cakes for Nemoralia - a Roman recipe, after watching a cooking video on youtube - and, go figure, my cakes turned into something completely different.

They taste GREAT - my dad even remarked how they look amazing and would sell nicely if I opened up a shop - but the texture is everything but a cake. It’s more like jelly than a cake.

Yes, I now invented the jelly honey cake recipe xD

Well, we don’t get everything right in life, even more when it’s your first time doing it. I always test recipes first because I know the first time there’ll be something off and I might have to adapt to my needs/ingredients/oven & etc.

So, what’s the lesson?

Witchcraft is much like cooking (hello, kitchen witches!): it doesn’t always go right. You’ll have to adapt, study and understand what fits you better and what doesn’t. But hey, that’s the beauty of it, right?

Do know that even seasoned witches make mistakes. That’s how we all learn. Don’t forget to note down even your mistakes on your grimoire - so you know how to do it better next time!

And you can always react two ways: doom and gloom - “oh, I got the cakes wrong, it’s all ruined, I’m never baking again” - or learn the lesson and find something great about it - “hey, I invented a new type of cake and it’s jello-like. You’ve never seen something like this before!”

Keep making mistakes, keep learning and go make it better!

300 followers! I didn’t expect this much here on this tumblr! I honestly started it for fun and for keeping my witchy info organized, as well as sharing a little bit of what I was learning ‘cause sometimes it can be so difficult to find information.

I’m back, witches!

It’s been a while, but yes, I am back!

I’ve been thinking about posting some things on Instagram to organize my posts a little better and been gathering more knowledge on my grimoire to share with you ^^

Moon Rabbit Grimoire will be back soon! I’ve got a lot on teas and some new recipes, a few new spells and some banishing things that worked quite well with me. I’ve also have been digging on my family history and gaining new insight, I hope it’ll be valuable and helpful for you as well!
