“I did an oopsie.”

Clockwork paused in his work, gaze turning from his work towards his ghostling (it didn’t matter if he was an adult, he’d always be his ghostling) who was smiling nervously, avoiding his eyes.

“Oh?” He kept his tone light, even as he worked on untangling a time knot. Honestly at least Danny was immune to any effect of time, even if he couldn’t look into his timelines in exchange. It came with being the other half of Infinity.

“Yeeah… you know that corner of the multiverse you told me not to go to because you’re working on some time problems? I might have stumbled into one of the worlds in the corner…”

He stopped his machinations, fully turning towards Danny- Space, his Core whispered and quivered in utter delight at having an Equal in power- with a raised eyebrow, leaning on his staff and silently telling him to explain.

Danny poked his fingers together, giving a nervous laugh. “So uh, I was just exploring right? Well me and Ellie, you know how she gets when she can’t wander, and um… I er, we might have messed with some things in the creation of it… I didn’t know it was part of that universe, I swear! It was so far at the fringes and halfway into the Zone and I couldn’t just let a universe die before it began and-”

Oh- Oh! His ghostling (and his grand-ghostlings it sounded like) had claimed his first universe! He could put off these time knots, this was a grand milestone for any Ancient, nevermind such a primordial force as one of theirs.

And this is how a DC world came into being with humans evolving with more avian traits. Like wings. And claws. Look, Dan thought it’d be funny if they gave baby humanity wings and Ellie started rambling about how much farther they could travel if they had them and Danny thought it could be cool. Oh well, time to keep an eye on their itty baby world now…

#kingdom hearts 0.2 birth by sleep a fragmentary passage #kh0.2 #depths of darkness #realm of darkness #my gif #they did a good job making the realm of darkness look distinct from the realm of light #because this place really does feel like nowhere we've ever been before #the rocky pathways with no sign of organic life make me feel like i'm on the moon or an alien planet #it's interesting how fallen worlds feel like they're all stitched together between areas like this #aqua can simply walk from place to place without needing a ship or keyblade glider to fly her to a new world #though who's to say how long it takes her to do all of that #as if the realm of darkness is one big ever growing expanse of land without any known boundaries between worlds #we know that all worlds used to be connected in the realm of light long ago and i'm guessing that's the case in the realm of darkness #it's never been split or fractured by keyblade wielders so it still follows its own rules and laws of nature #that'd be pretty interesting #we see this area start as a rocky wasteland that transitions into flat sandy terrain from the destiny islands #but you have to walk through a huge blinding light to get there first which is really unusual #it makes me think of how terra and aqua were guided to destiny islands by a bright light #and how destiny islands appears as a ball of light on the world select menu in bbs #but why portray it that way? we've been shown before what the world of destiny islands looks like from afar with the CoM world cards #and it's not like they even needed to include it on the world select screen in bbs because it's not a world you can even visit on your own #i don't know what it's all supposed to mean yet but #i believe the islands are more significant than we know at this time and this game continues to raise a lot of questions #it's certainly called 'destiny' islands for a reason

He also really likes Rainbow dash #I feel like he would admire rainbow dash because of how she tries to appear cool in front of others #Empanada's favorite is Fluttershy at first but eventually #she grows to love Twilight and so they both are her favorites actually - she can't pick between them #Sunny hates nightmare moon btw because they make them think of moon and relates to princess luna about disliking that side of them #Empanada doesn't know how to feel about Luna at first but loves her too with that episode of Twilight and Luna #Pepito is a big fan of Celestia because she has a bit of a fun side to her despite how serious she might appear #Sunny doesn't like Celestia and finds her kind of boring - even if they do like her sun theme and her being the leader of everyone #Empanada likes Cadence because of how kind she is and caring but she also finds chrysalis cool as an antagonist #For their opinions on the cmc - Sunny really likes sweetie belle - Empanada really likes apple bloom and Pepito really likes Scootaloo #also I drew Empanada in a dress because Empanada said she liked dresses and the color pink before

This one’s for the main story and I’m reaaaallly really liking it rn. It’s the third(?) cover idea I’ve had for the main au, or at least for part one. But if this version doesn’t end up working out for whatever reason then I’m sure I’ll be able to eventually feature it somewhere 🤷‍♂️

There was actually a blending mode mistake when putting the colors in for the background that I ended up liking over the original idea. Hence the soft pinks and purples :)!

The previous one I posted about, though, is for FD’s backstory specifically. In case there’s any sort of confusion.
