JACAERYS VELARYON & HELAENA TARGARYEN in 1.08 'The Lord of the Tides' "I have felt the… strife… between our families of late, my Queen. And for any offense given by mine, I apologize. But we are one house. And long before that, we were friends. My son Jacaerys will inherit the Iron Throne after me. I propose we betroth him to your daughter, Helaena. Ally ourselves… once and for all. Let them rule together."

PRINCESS RHAENYRA TARGARYEN always dressed richly, favoring purple and maroon velvets and golden Myrish lace in intricate patterns. Her bodice often glittered with pearls and diamonds, and there were always rings on her fingers. Whenever she was anxious, she would turn them compulsively around her fingers.

AEMMA ARRYN ♕ QUEEN CONSORT
At the time of his ascent, King Viserys was twenty-six years old. He had been married for a decade to a cousin, Lady Aemma of House Arryn, herself a granddaughter of the Old King and Good Queen Alysanne through her mother, the late Princess Daella. Lady Aemma had suffered several miscarriages and the death of one son in the cradle over the course of her marriage, but she had also given birth to a healthy daughter, Rhaenyra. The new king and his queen both doted on the girl, their only living child.

PRINCESS OF DRAGONSTONE & HEIR TO THE IRON THRONE
Disregarding the precedents set by King Jaehaerys in 92 and the Great Council in 101, Viserys declared his daughter, Rhaenyra, to be his rightful heir, and named her Princess of Dragonstone. In a lavish ceremony at King’s Landing, hundreds of lords did obeisance to the Realm’s Delight as she sat at her father’s feet at the base of the Iron Throne, swearing to honor and defend her right of succession.

“According to Archmaester Gyldayn, in the eyes of many, the council of 101 AC established an iron precedent on matters of succession: that the Iron Throne could not pass to a woman, or to a male descendant of a woman.“

“Women only drank moon tea for one reason; maidens had no need for it at all.”
Moon tea or tansy tea is a medicinal herbal tea used in the Seven Kingdoms, as well as beyond the Wall, to prevent or abort pregnancies.
Moon tea is made generally by maesters and woods witches out of tansy, mint, wormwood, a spoon of honey, and a drop of pennyroyal.
