So thrilled to share the cover for BEING ACE! I have a fantasy story in this anthology, edited by Madeline Dyer out Oct 10th from Page Street Publishing!
My story, "Well Suited," is a fantasy tale of queerplatonic pining and love: When newly minted noble lady Brindle must attend a debutante ball, she lies about being engaged to a fictitious knight to avoid choosing an escort. Her best friend Fig, a nonbinary mage, enchants a suit of armor to play the part, but there's more to the enigmatic Sir Guy than they bargained for, and they soon realize that sometimes armor is more of a cage than a shield.
The anthology also features stories from Akemi Dawn Bowman, Linsey Miller, RoAnna Sylver, Moniza Hossain and more!

got on twitter for the first time in weeks and this was the first thread i saw. i literally hate it here someone come pick me up

October 3rd I'll be helping to launch @linseymiller's new book, Prince of Thorns and Nightmares, at Powell's books at Cedar Hills Crossing in Beaverton at 7pm.
October 7th there will be a fantasy panel at the Tukwila Southcenter B&N at 1pm with Linsey Miller, @what-eats-owls, Lily Meade, and MT Zimny.
October 8th is the virtual launch for Being Ace with Charis Books & More! Join me, Madeline Dyer, S.E. Anderson, Moniza Hossain, and Lara Ameen at 6:30pm eastern/3:30pm pacific. Pre-register here.
October 10th we'll be launching Being Ace in person at Jan's Bookstore in Beaverton at 7pm. I'll be chatting with Linsey Miller and Jas Brown all about the anthology process, short fiction, and asexual storytelling.

We wrote an anthology! Come celebrate the release of the Being Ace anthology, a book full of short fiction by asexual spectrum authors about asexual spectrum characters! I'll be chatting with authors S.E. Anderson, Moniza Hossain, and Lara Ameen as well as our editor extraordinaire, Madeline Dyer!

The Aloha Community Library in Aloha, OR will be hosting me for a workshop to help you get in writing mode for NaNoWriMo! I've done NaNoWriMo every year since I was a teenager (some more successfully than others) and I know all the tools of the trade! Come brainstorm your novel and get ready to hit the ground running on November 1st!
