Poetry as an exercise in masochism 💀

Trying to format into the circle shape was so fucking annoying. Text of the poem below the cut (without the fun shape).

Circle of Light

Inside a swirl of stars

timelines stretching into galaxies

a cycle of magnetic pull

swing apart and loop right back

I am orbiting - could die -

in his gravity well

But I love my future more.

I need a straight shot

Direction without predestination

onward endlessly.

I am not walking toward my death.

We can keep each other guessing

flirtatious and sated

disguises all the way down

twin atoms at the core

equal size and shape

fluid in connectivity

A circle making light.

In through the heart

suffusing the body

steady glow

not blistering flame or endless night.

Still, he can rest on my shoulder

and lend me molecules as needed.

Venti's "target" symbol and what it could mean

I saw some overlap with the symbol on his spirit form/burst with these

I dug around and found out that the cross in the middle of a circle is called a sun cross, dating back to the Bronze Age. It's a super ancient symbol, and one of its uses was for representing the sun. I also came across the eight armed sun-cross, which represents the wheel of the year, (AKA the passage of time) Sooooo I put these two together! I flipped the broken sun-dial to confirm that if it was a complete circle, it would indeed have 8 arms:

This is yet another connection to Venti and the God of Time, adding to the theory that they might be one and the same. An additional interesting tidbit is that the sun cross later became the symbol of earth in Astrology, and this became the symbol of the sun

This symbol is the same one associated with the Monad, who in Gnosticism is THE God. When "Before Sun and Moon" was released in Enkanomyia, lots of folks theorized that the Primordial One paralleled the Monad. It's just interesting to me how widespread the sun appears to be a symbol of greater powers in divinity in the GI universe, and that Venti has a lot of ties to it. It’s ALSO interesting that the sun cross later became a symbol for Earth (AKA Geo) but that I'll save for another day.
