#Atsushi Nakajima
he adores the way you look. atsushi always loves to admire everything you do. he loves watching you stuff a huge piece of katsudon into your mouth during lunch, he loves seeing you help kenji and kyoka attend to the cow on the rooftop of the agency, he even loves the way you panic when dazai tries to commit suicide once again, the genuine concern for your colleague, something he never had as a child. if you’d let him, he’d stare into your eyes forever.
he adores the way you take care of him. he loves returning back to the office after a difficult mission to return to your praises about how great he did. you don’t even need to do much; you could make him a bowl of miso soup and he’d cherish you for life. he’s so thankful to you, he tried asking yosano for help to make something nice for you but they ended up alerting the smoke alarm. it might’ve failed but it’s the thought that counts, right? after all, he’ll love you as long as you’ll let him.
#Chuuya Nakahara
he adores the way you never judge him, the way you never make fun of him for liking childish things, for showing off his new hat that probably cost a fortune. when he’s with you, he feels vulnerable. he feels that he doesn’t have to constantly keep his guard up; he isn’t arahabaki’s vessel, he isn’t a port mafia executive. when he’s with you, he’s just chuuya nakahara, sharing a drink with his closest friend.
he adores the way you’re always looking out for him. you always bring him back to his apartment whenever he’s drunk, ordering takeout when he’s drowning in his work and stopping him before he does something stupid; he never exactly had a childhood to say the least, the feeling of someone actually being kind to him is very foreign. he probably confessed his feelings about you while you were bringing you to his bed and even drunk chuuya knew that you’d probably reject him in this state. he leaves his heart in your hands because if it was for you, he’d burn the world.
#Osamu Dazai
he adores the way you treat him; the constant compliments you shower him with, the way you validate every single one of his emotions, he adores it all. dazai will never be the type to have heart to heart conversations but whenever he talks to you, he has never felt so vulnerable. with you, he didn’t need to crack a joke or put his walls up, all you asked from him is to speak his feelings; and like a dam gone loose, he just spills his guts to you. it doesn’t feel natural but with you, he felt safe.
he adores the way you make him feel. he loves to bathe in the kindness you show him. it isn’t like when he always had to walk on eggshells whenever mori was around. he loves this feeling of comfort, he’s obsessed with the concern you give to him, he’d put everything he has on the line to keep you safe. you’re the light of his life, he’d go through hell and back just to return to you, all he asks is that you let him fall asleep in your warmth.

she adores the way you try to lighten her workload; you’re just adorable. it wasn’t until you were completely battered and broken that atsushi brought you to her for treatment. yosano is always ready to give her co-workers her treatment, she even enjoys it and it’s a well-known fact around the agency. so when you constantly rejected her attempts to heal you, she was dumbfounded until you tell her that you didn’t want to bother her, she couldn’t help but smile and start to fall in love
she adores the way you accompany her everywhere. she loves the way you volunteer to accompany her on her weekly shopping spree, never afraid of her unlike everyone else. and even sometimes finding her cute trinkets like a butterfly necklace, she can’t help but see the soldier she healed in you. and this time, she won’t be too correct.
#Kyoka Izumi
she adores the way you check up on her constantly. the way that you bring her to the sofa at 12:20 sharp to make sure she eats every day, the silly way you know that atsushi can’t cook anything besides chazuke and pack her a bento pack with the vegetables and rice shaped like a little bunny.
she adores the way you aren’t scared of by demon snow or by the fact that she used to be an assassin for the port mafia. you never hesitate to run up to her and hang out, making origami rabbits and cranes. she never knew such a simple hobby could make her admire you so much, but all she could do was stare at you with awe at how funny and kind you are.
#Jun’ichiro Tanizaki
he adores the way you take care of him. when he is swamped with reports upon reports to reply to and complete, he loves the way you go to his desk and bring him his usual order from his favorite chinese restaurant. junichiro was always usually the one who spoiled the other but, being spoiled was just other-wordly. the feeling of someone caring for you that much, could you really blame him for falling in love?
he adores the way you surprise him with a smile. without a doubt, it never fails to make his day. he absolutely loves the acceptance and comfort you provide him. he often gets anxious when given high-risk tasks by the agency, but your existence always pushes him to do his best. no matter how overwhelming the worries are, it fully dissipates right after seeing your face. tanizaki believes that your loving tenderness and warm embrace is his perfect respite after a hard day’s work.

The VN for Umineko is on steam, and you can get patches for it either through Umineko Project or the 07th mod. Both options have directions for how to go through downloading both.
If you still want to do the VN route but do not have the time to buy and download/read it yourself, there are several decent let's plays of the VN on youtube. I recommend either the one in the "Two Queers Play" series, or by following Nezumi VA, who is currently doing streams of the VN and is starting chapter 2 on the 10th of February.
However, the manga is a valid way to consume the story as it is the most faithful and readily available adaptation. Though it is highly recommended you do the VN first as the manga has an exclusive chapter that pretty much answers the whole thing, and the fun of the VN is trying to sus out the answers yourself.
Time is a factor, so I'll probably stick to the manga.

Izumi and Setsuka Fujiki first day at Tokyo Jujutsu High.
“Hey Setsuka, are you done packing? Do you still have room for that?”
Izumi asked, barging into her cousin’s soon to be empty dorm room. After moving to Kyoto two years ago, as a punishment for their lack of staidness, it was finally time for Izumi and Setsuka to go back home. After a meeting between their adoptive father Yaga, principal Gakuganji and the elders, it had been determined that the Fujiki girls had matured enough to transfer back to Tokyo.
“What for, that old thing? Do you really need all that stuff Nezumi?” questioned Setsuka, glancing at the frog lamp the smaller girl was holding .. Izumi looked at her with pleading eyes and as she was going to start begging, Setsuka nodded towards a half-full box. Once they were done packing, Professor Utahime accompanied the girls to the school entrance, where Ichiji was waiting for them. As they were saying their goodbye,they could see tears blurring Utahime’s vision: “ I’m going to miss teaching you everyday, take good care of you two, okay?”
Before their teacher could start crying, Setsuka dropped her last bag in the trunk before slamming it shut: “ Don’t go all soft on us, teach! Besides, we'll see each other in a few months for the tournament! We’ll be just fine, so don’t worry about us! Take care, sensei!” Setsuka entered the car first and called her cousin: “You coming Izu?”
Izumi said her goodbye and hugged their teacher one last time before following Setsuka.
As they were taking off, the girls opened their car windows and yelled: “UTAHIME-SENSEI!! WE WON’T FORGET TO SAY HI TO YOUR BOYFRIEND FOR YOU”.
They both giggled as they could see their teacher fuming in the rear mirror.
*3 hours later*
“We’re here misses, how does it feel to be back home?”
“Thank you for the ride Ichiji! I’m so happy!! I couldn’t stand most of our classmates at Kyoto High and we won’t even start about Gakuganji.. Besides, I really missed our family! Isn't it great to be here,right Tonkatsu?” Izumi answered first.
“Right Nezumi! But nothing really changed, did it? After the school was destroyed last year you’d think they’d have made a few mods but nope, nada.. anyway, feels great to be back! Thanks Ichiji! How much time do we have to settle before our next mission?” replied Setsuka as she stretched her arms.
“ Your father granted you 2 days before you officially start in your respective classes. Before that you are welcomed to walk around the campus and maybe introduce yourselves to your new classmates! Oh and about your brother, he still doesn’t know that you two are back! On that note, I need to drive Gojo to his meeting with your father! It’s great to have you back on the school grounds! Take care!”
After Ichiji left, the Fujiki cousin’s moved in direction of their rooms. Before they could make it to the dorms, they were interrupted by a group of people:
“ OI, you two! You’re not from here! Identify yourself!” called a dark haired girl with glasses. The group was constituted of 5 individuals. Two girls, two boys and the very familiar face of their adoptive brother. “Don’t make her repeat herself, so who are you?” said the other girl.
Setsuka noticed her cousin’s startled face and the tears welling up in her eyes, before the white haired girl could make a snarky comment about how welcoming the people in Tokyo were, she was cut by the very loud and familiar voice of Panda: “NEZUMI?? TONKATSU?? YOU’RE HERE????” exclaimed Panda as he was lifting the two girls in a tight hug.
“Panda!!! I missed you so much big bro”
“ Come on you brute! You’re choking me!! Is it a way to treat your sisters?”
The group was shocked by what the black and white duo had claimed:
“Brother? sisters? Panda, you have siblings?” said the sea urchin looking guy. “Salmon” replied a white haired boy.
“Yeah, well they’re adopted but we still grew up and were raised together by Yaga!! If I recall, I only mentioned them once or twice to Toge!” explained Panda. The bear then turned to his sisters and said: “I had no idea you guys were coming to visit! Why didn’t you text me? Anyway I’ll introduce y’all! So first here, we have Zenin Maki, she’s a second like us Izumi! Maki is a cursed weapon specialist! She’s really good at hand to hand combat”
The dark haired girl with glasses from earlier then said: “Sorry about earlier. Since the attack last year we’re wary of strangers”
The Fujiki girls nodded. Panda continued: “ Then we have Inumaki Toge! He’s also in second! He’s a cursed speech user so he voluntarily limits his vocabulary to Onigiri ingredients to keep people around him safe!We’re also all learning sign-language to make communication easier”
“Kelp” said Toge looking at the girls, before making eye contact with Izumi’s teary eyes.
“Then we have the first years! Kugisaki Nobara, she also uses cursed weapons and has a voodoo technique.” Nobara introduced herself and Panda moved to the last member of their small group: “and lastly we have Fushiguro Megumi! He is a ten-shadows user! Gojo is his guardian! So yeah these two are the same year as you Setsuka!”
The boy named Megumi only nodded at the girls and waved slightly!
“ Well nice to meet you all!! I’m Fujiki Izumi! I use an invocation-type cursed technique. I’m looking forward to training with you all! I hope we can become friends!Let’s exchange our numbers so we can all chat”
“ I’m Fujiki Setsuka. I’m a curse-transmuter and manipulator. And we’re not only visiting this time, Panda! We’re transferring back here. I hope y’all started training for the tournament? We’re ready to kick Kyoto’s ass, so I hope y’all know how to fight.”
“ARE YOU FOR REAL??? WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME???”
“Surprise” replied Izumi, she then continued with: “Anyway, let’s hangout later today, yeah? I’m pretty sure our boxes have arrived by now and we really need to set up our rooms so we’ll get going, nice to meet you all!”
After the girls left to their respective rooms, Maki and Nobara bombarded Panda with questions about his adoptive sisters. As they left for the training grounds, Megumi and Toge followed and listened attentively to Panda’s answers. After Yuji’s death and Yuta’s departure, they all hoped that these two would be a good addition to the team and hopefully they would become good friends.
