One of my favourite furniture sets over the years has always been the Tivoli, Plantation set by blake_boy over at ModTheSims. As well as some super cute dressers by rgdyanne over at Sims2Artists. I heavily recommend both sets with this pack.

I've used it way too many times and around October of 2022, I ended up feeling like I wanted to work on some addons for it. I've always wanted to get into making actual objects in Sims 2 since I love making things for another irrelevant game I mod. I decided this would be a great way to try and learn.

I'll keep them separate in case you want to keep the originals :) Same filename and GUID as the original. I did try to make the wider ones a separate GUID but it didn't work so I'm gonna leave that for now and figure it out at some point.

I've only seen vague posts but I know all social media is gone (because by god fucking twitter apparently) I've seen from the fake gatobob account post about recent events and I'm soo confused. Sorry for the late response, I've been trying to retag some things while I'm focused on this account for once. I'll try to be brief? please don't take me as the authority on this, I just happened to get into the tags while it was unfolding earlier today. still going under a read more though. i suppose a tw for mentions of racism and xenophobia are warranted. And please do not interact if you are a minor or have no age listed on your blog, I will block you.

Gato deleted her social media accounts this morning (tumblr, twitter, pillowfort) and explained on patreon it was for her mental health and safety (which... safety? hm) and someone here immediately claimed the gatobob url. which happens, it's tumblr. but this person is using it basically as a callout center.

the callout seems to be about an incident that happened in the patreon exclusive discord server before it got shut down a couple months ago. tldr according to this person, someone (a mod?) made a racist comment towards someone, and gato apparently handled the situation poorly and neither her or the mods apology were really that great. I was in the server as a lurker more than anything, but I don't remember being there when this happened.

other people sending in asks to this new gatobob account have also been calling her out for xenophobia, but I have a feeling that's looking a little bit too much into statements she's made about her games being redistributed in Russia and Spain specifically if i recall correctly.

this new blog is demanding gato and the aforementioned mod properly apologize for their behaviour, but in my opinion, this is a really weird and bad way to go about it. Smart to use her url as a way to boost the problem, but... I haven't seen any solid evidence besides some very vague screenshots, none of them including the racist remarks (the screenshots they've posted so far definitely aren't good responses or apologies if they ARE linked to this incident, and it should have been taken seriously) And the victim from the racism incident is NOT the person running the new gatobob account, so it feels very weird to me that this person is taking it upon themselves to stir everyone up and demand things from gato and the mod.

as far as I can tell, gato hasn't said anything about this on patreon, although she's likely taking her separation from social media very seriously. If she is aware (and I'm sure she's getting plenty of DMs about this on patreon), she'll likely make a post there addressing it in the next couple days, but that's just speculation.

I'm keeping a mostly neutral stance in this whole thing, but I'm encouraging people to not interact with this new gatobob account. There's nothing we can really do; they aren't impersonating her, posting anything against ToS as far as Im aware, and people have been hoarding urls for years. Just... listen and learn, I think is all I can suggest. Form your own opinions, but don't go on a witch hunt about it, if that makes any sense.

I'll try to answer other questions, but I'm just one guy on the internet who doesn't usually get tangled with things like this. Please be patient.

Beware: Sugar Spice & Nothing Nice

Hey Everyone this isn't my typical post but this is being posted to let anyone know who is contributing or interested in the Sugar Spice & Nothing Nice Zine that they have let a person onto the team who writes extremely morally questionable fics onto their team. (scs proof below)

Also letting you all know because I didn't read this bit in the FAQ, that they did not and will not do background checks on any of the contributors. This was most likely added into their FAQ after the controversy with Morning Brew's moderation team. One of the moderators in this new zine (Gato) was also involved in moderating said zine as well. This was also most likely added to avoid blame for any morally dubious behavior that some contributors may exhibit.

This was mostly made to bring awareness as I recieved my invite and only realized after looking into who's on the mod team that I don't wish to be associated with these people or this project. This is an 18+ project but i’m extremely uncomfortable working on a project that lets people like this onto their team.

hi. yes i came back for another yapping session, ironic.

i would like to express some of my feelings towards... some interesting things.

1. The Strade nazi drawing

i talked about his before, i am aware, but later (while reading other opinions as well) i got reminded about EP (Electricpuke for those who dont know him). did we all forgot HOW MANY nazi drawings he made? dont you believe that's an influence as well? if i remember correctly, Gato cut ties with him because of his abusive behaviour (there arent many people talking about this but some user are aware about his actions. sadly i wasnt in the community when that happened)

literally there are people calling Gato a nazi when she doesn't support the ideology. why did no one act the same with EP? different standards? the fact he left (probably) for good? still its not an excuse to call Gato a nazi. also she apologised multiple times. again MULTIPLE TIMES. even in the callout post in twt you can see the fact she IS sorry for drawing that. that she REGRETS it

2. The way others silence opinions that they dont like

im not saying you should be forced to agree with it, but when you make a callout account, normally, you let multiple people say their opinions over that thing. you can even show proof when you see someone is wrong. thats how argument work, crazy ik.

i start to see that if you defend Gato or just leave the community because the fandom its on thin ice, you'll be harassed and bullied for your choices. first of all, HOW ABOUT WE LEAVE PEOPLE THAT DONT WANT TO ASSOCIATE WITH BTD/TPOF ANYMORE ALONE. good? literally saw multiple users being harassed by this. its THEIR decision, suck it up. also can we stop SENDING DEATH THREATS???

or the fact that if you do have a point, they'll immediately cancel it with the "oh but its not important". it can be if you have some proofs for their misinformation (just like i proved the variety of poc characters Gato CREATED. didnt talk about Ren since he's another story)

3. Lack of proof for the side allegations.

if people noticed mods harassing people sm, why didnt they talk? why arent there ss of their conversations? we dont even know (most of us) what they even commented about (aside of Pussyspieler drawing). or the twt user that was wronged. that situation was like.. kind of a "im more autistic so you should shut up" (i have to add that i asked people on the spectrum about this and that was their point of view) of course the mod shouldn't have said it like that but.. its more of a misunderstanding really.. that doesnt mean you cant be upset. you absolutely can. everyone can react differently so dont harass them for feeling down or for being frustrated.

also the spanish (or mexican idk) users that just copied and translated @/renhanasgf posts with little to no new information. just the same thing. (although they said something of Gato not sending merch to latin America. probably because of the laws back then or the fact that the transport fee would be high af. im still searching for the reason tho so ill need some time for that one).

4. This fandom is messed up

people when fans of horror porn games are problematic 🤯. i agree that some people are being like extreme with their reactions, but no one is perfect here. just like i approached the situation completely wrong, they did the same. of course, now if you go around and be a racist piece of shit, you shoudl just stay off the internet for a while. luckily more approach the "like the art not the artist" thing.

look. you can always block users that you dont like (just like i do to those who are either into csam,thanks for telling me ab this term anon!, or incest). i know. shocking that people can block others.

after all these fandoms are not for the weak. there may be some safe spaces in it as well but... lets be real... its still going to be problematic. if you cant handle the community or how others act around here, then id suggest for you to not have a close interaction with others. like uhm, just, appreciate the content, not every person around here. just be aware of the users, stau safe okay?

5. Will i stop yapping?

not until i will see an agreement in the fandom. Gato is a human, of course she will do mistakes. especially if she's anxious or tired. having hundreds of people around you its hard and i can imagine it. having supoortive people only to wake up with people hating you. i hope she's safe and that she wont have to go to the hospital again. i pray for her well being, and to others that got spammed with those disgusting comments.

im not saying we should forget about this like.. her poor management and emotional way of responding to things, but is it truly worth it? to force a person to apologise just because they tried to fix things?

i also dont think ill stop because i just feel like im the only one that does talk here (trying to even prove wrong on some things). if others do it as well, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TAG ME I WANNA SEE THEM😭 also because most people are still so confused about EVERYTHING. for some reason this drama its only getting more popular on tt for some reason.. which is a big no no since there are a lot of YOUNG people. i believe this should be talked here, and on twitter. (idk what to say about telegram)

ill stop here since my sickness got me. i will edit it later to add or correct myself but *sighs*

please stay safe and try to view more opinions over this. DONT SPAM OR HARASS ANYONE WHO ONLY WANTED TO EXPRESS THEIR FEELINGS. we'll see on Sunday how things will turn out.

what actually happened? I used to be big into btd, joined gato’s server briefly when tpof was in development, but haven’t paid to actually stay in the server, so i just see the announcements that it’s closing in 2 days

Hey! I’m glad you reached out to ask. A lot of people are in the dark, it seems to be that way when someone’s fave gets accused of excusing bigotry/g/nm. That being said, I’m going to lay out everything that’s been made public first, and then add in my own thoughts and things I’ve noticed.

The News:

As posted here a member(who I will be calling spieler in reference to their twt handle, and for privacy of their other accounts) of the patreon server(which I was also a member of up until news broke) reached out to Gatobob regarding untoward comments made to them by a mod, Melon who was a prevalent member of the fan community but also has a history of making members uncomfortable enough to leave server. Spieler operated under the assumption of good faith based on the language of the message and based on what myself and others had seen in mutual servers with them. The story develops in the thread and the two ensuing ones linked here and here detailing Gatobob’s handling of the situation. Reminiscent of but FAR worse than her handling of the Carnivorekitty situation. She knew spieler was going to reach out, it is implied she was aware of Melon’s subpar apology, minimized the situation to the fan’s face, and unrelatedly Spieler experienced enough harassment from diehard fans to not feel comfortable in the fandom space anymore.

Reports from members in server prior to its closure confirm that Melon was active until the very end, and did not face consequences for the frankly unacceptable comments made, which were far more than “cringe on main”.

My Thoughts:

Given how she didn’t bother handling the Carnivorekitty situation, and was more focused on smoothing things over here than anything, I’m not shocked. Frustrated and disappointed? Deeply. But it’s definitely a pattern of behavior to weaponize mental health(whether her own or others, as shown in Spieler’s threads), to shut down conversation on these serious matters, and that she doesn’t act like it’s her responsibility to curate a space reflective of her “good values”. It’s really hurtful and evidently untrue, it is the responsibility of a creator to manage the space their fans occupy to create a zone as free of bigotry as possible. Anything less than an enthusiastic FUCK NO to any kind of xenophobia is complacency. She did not boot Tom when he derrided the POC and LGBT+ fans that gave her this platform and this income. She did not remove Melon when confronted with the hurtful and unnecessary commentary she made, and instead allowed the pattern to continue for the duration of the server’s life span. Protect yourselves and take your money to someone who cares about their fan community, and won’t shut it down when confronted with serious issues.

I would like to make it very clear I disavow Gatobob’s actions, the people who harassed Spieler on her behalf should feel ashamed, and no party in this deserves harassment.

I just think maybe I’m tired of creators not doing better, and yet again my trust was ill placed.

I agree with the fact that the older Ren pic is weird for the stereotypical mustache, but for the eye, in my perspective of an Asian, I think it’s just like when anime characters smiling, you know, the ^v^ face. Otherwise, I don’t agree with Gato in general plus the n*zi Strade art 💀💀 I usually don’t like bring up past actions but only when said person has changed but Gato still did not change a bit. It’s funny how when someone talked about lizard people a mod quickly came to said it was anti semistic (and it was real though) but when Melon said anti black things she did not say shit

Edit: also, when she made a post apologizing for her excusing mod’s racist behavior… it was a paragraph, and she didn’t even apologize. She was just like “yeah I fucked up” and the rest of the post was her apologizing for deleting the Patreon server 💀

This user experienced racist comments by a mod on gato’s patreon on more than one occasion. The person brought it to gato’s attention and this is that exchange. I know the person from a discord server we share, but I don’t know them personally!

Regarding my post, this blog started out as a btd/tpof blog so I wanted to say something in case anyone following for that would expect that in the future.

A quick aside, to you and to anyone reading this, please do not harass this person (or even gato for that matter). There’s plenty of vitriol going this person’s way that they don’t deserve. So, if you can’t make a kind comment, don’t make one at all!

the kitties have been known to cause some mischief, some more so than others, and this is what you need to know!

Mitzi

mitzi spent much of her early time on earth on the run travelling with a circus and committing crimes wherever she went. she’s most often spotted stealing chicken and gravy cat food from the back of the shelf but has also committed some higher profile crimes such as thinking she could fly a plane, she could not.

Mango

mango evades his taxes and also engages in petty crime. but never jaywalks of course, he’s well versed in road safety, and also because it’s not a crime here. outside of crime mango loves making mischief and does a lot of pranks, practical jokes and goofy challenges that usually end in a big mess with his best friend morgz.

Morgz

the only crime morgz has ever committed is piracy and thinking popcorn is good but she does do lots of pranks and goofy challenges with her best friend mango. she also eats rocks, or tries to anyway.

Keith

keith uses his powers for evil and is currently trying to steal the title of “ultimate life form” from a toddler. he also listens exclusively to imagine dragons while doing so. he’s an edgy shapeshifter with a mullet how more devious can a void cat get?

PLEASE DO NOT INTERACT WITH THIS POST OR MY BLOG IF YOU ARE UNDER 18/HAVE NO AGE IN BIO OR PINNED. You will be blocked.

My stance is shifting slightly in the whole matter. @/pussyspieler seems to be the victim that came forward not just about the mods racism, but also talks of in/cest, gro0ming, and self harm kept happening in the general channels in the patreon server. Once again, I was just a lurker and never saw these myself, but this is definitely patreon DMs and gatos responses, which... aren't great. It isn't a good look to not want to say "hey no talks about activities that hurt minors, regardless of if its IRL or not"

And... I don't see why she wanted the server to be a place to "help people"? I can understand her being empathetic and wanting to help, but there were 300+ people in that server. That isn't her job as a single woman, and that also shouldn't be pushed onto the mod team as well.

I'll continue to wait and see if Gato posts on her patreon about this, or if I can see screenshots of any of the offending messages sent in the discord that started all this. I really want proof that people were saying these things first, not just someone claiming they happened.

Are you a fan of The Simpsons and video games? If so, you probably know I’m going to talk about the classic “The Simpsons Hit & Run”; if you didn’t know, well… I’m going to talk about the classic “The Simpsons Hit & Run.”

If you played it back in the day, you knees probably already hurt and you have a lot of nostalgia for it, a favorite for many. This game is beloved because it offered great gameplay, similar to GTA, and had countless references to the best episodes of the series. As for the graphics, the game does a good job of emulating the animated series in a 3D world, especially for the year 2003, but it was always a bit dissonant to see the characters in a different style than we were used to (unless you count it as a reference to the Treehouse of Horror VI, that’s different!).

The reason for this post is this: a fan mod that enhances the visual aspect to a level worthy of an official remake! The user and artist “El Gato Del Tejado” decided on his own that the game would benefit greatly from a graphical upgrade and is working on drawing all the textures in high quality and completely redoing the game’s cinematics, transforming them from 3D graphics to beautiful 2D animations, among other improvements. All of this makes a significant part of the game feel like watching an episode of The Simpsons.

It’s undoubtedly an incredible effort and is comparable even to recent South Park games, where despite being a game, it feels like watching the show. I leave you with example images and Gato’s social media so you can appreciate and support his work.

So you want to blame the victim now? lolz

I am not blaming the victim, but I start to lose the trust in their statement. it's just that it seems so weird like. so the principal allegations are the main problem yes? yet some details are still missing. was the drawing colour or gray? who knows cuz i never saw it so it's like 50/50 here. the minor one as well. after I dug for some time to see if she corrected or added something I saw that there were 2 more people making fun of her. were they mods? other edgy (racist) users? who knows. not to say that she "accepted" melon's apology yet she still argues with those who aren't fully on her side. or at least that's what I felt like when I saw the comments/posts. why make 1000 comments and not put them in a simple thread? people that still want more proof have to dig through a lot just for what?

the entire thing just starts to be annoying, to some posting FAKE "proof" (cutely winks at the user who made a "psychological" analysis of Gato) (also that thing about the racist mexican comment) to others not even bothering to fix their misinformation. it's a fucking mess.

also those who blame you for being ignorant just because you proved that some of their accusations were slightly/fully wrong

just, whatever. please stay safe and DON'T HARASS ANYONE

also, as those who remained in this fandom, I believe we could at least spread some kindness towards those who were threatened or bullied over nothing.
