I've been seeing a lot of people drawing Sunny Starscout interacting with a corrupted Twilight Sparkle recently and the common theme is that Twilight stole the magic and it wasn't Sunnies to give back in her mind. A lot of people show Sunny as intimidated, but I honestly think she would be a lot like Twilight interacting with Nightmare Moon for the first time, perhaps intimidated internally but not showing it outwardly and putting on the brave face. (Twilight charged at Nightmare Moon, I wouldn't be surprised if Sunny would do similar)
Twilight yelling: It wasn't your magic to give back!
Sunny yelling louder: and it wasn't your magic to take!
I mean if you got magic back for everyone, meet your role model only to find out they stole the magic to begin with and now they are accusing you of misdeeds and yelling at you. I think she deserves to scream back is all I'm thinking. In this theoretical scenario. I also think in the scenario of Twilight stealing the magic like that, she would need a real hard and loud wake-up call. And what if she relives the first time her and her friends met, but now she's in Nightmare Moons position. That would be a slap to the face, and they probably wouldn't even need the rainbow friendship beam. Make her look in a mirror and see just who she has become
And if you wanna do the reincarnation thing, Sunny and her friends could be reincarnations of Twilight's old friends. Because I like angst

it is time. to do some extremely niche hyperfixation posting
on my main ive posted from time to time about this fanfic i have been obsessed with for close to 10 years, its called waking nightmares, its a tf2 mlp crossover fic (among a few other fandoms) written by @knightmysteriolibray and ive got a lot of art based on the fic that dang it i wanna finally share with the wider public
no im not putting this under a read more, if i do youre not gonna click it
definitely one of my favourite scenes in the fic is when RED spy and scout watch the BLU team get dragged off into the horse world. you'd think going to equestria of all places wouldn't be this terrifying XD (also the tiny little hint of dadspy in the scene *chefs kiss*)
another scene recreation of a part i liked but this time with horse boys cause imma be honest, sometimes i do not feel like drawing ponies (you can interpret this as 'ponied up' versions )
of course we also got simple memes based on scenes from the fic
i am completely and utterly obsessed with the dynamic between scout and pinkie pie they are clowning around together to the extreme and its everything to me
similarly brilliant is the medic and twilight dynamic. she starts out so nervous with him and then eventually develops to perfectly counter him when hes at his edgiest, thats no small feat! i am impressed!
but the best dynamic as far as im concerned is soldier and derpy, who are so cute together it gives me cavities and like look, if the stephen universe shoe fits you put it on (used human designs here for similar reasons as with the horseboy designs)

Twilight (re) redesign!
This Twi is a trans mare (she/they pronouns because she likes to get funky with their gender). This one takes a lot longer to make friends with the mane 6. Their nose is always in a book, resulting in them getting a lot of bumps/ bruises/scrapes from running into other ponies. I also headcanon that she gains scars from when she sprouts her alicorn wings.
While she is more into the science of magic, they still love magic itself. Had a lot of magical potential when Celestia picked her but had to work hard to get that potential on the outside.
They have trouble making facial expressions on command, sometimes resulting in a smile that looks more like a grimace (however, a genuine smile from her lights up the whole room). Very caring for her friends but it doesn’t show in the way other ponies might. It takes the mane six a bit, but they start to notice the subtle things she does to show she loves them.
In terms of her becoming an alicorn, it’s like canon. She gets a growth spurt, gets more powerful, gets her eyes fixed (she still wears her little librarian glasses because she likes them), and grows her wings. However, the process, while initially painless, soon turns into what can be described as ~filly growth spurt 2~ but all at once. Unlike canon, she does not hold the princess title long. While they are extremely responsible, there is a lot of pressure in that role. She tries her best, but still cannot seem to get the hang of it. Once Luna and Celestia hand her the torch, she takes it. It is not long, however, before she revamps the whole system. What the system is I have no idea. I just feel like twi isn’t the princess type. A lot of times, it feels more for show that she is a princess. So, I feel she would perhaps use her connections/friends to build a better system where it isn’t like gods ruling, rather one that considers the entire kingdom and those outside of it.
VA is still Tara Strong, but perhaps more on the raspier side like Raven from Teen Titans!!

An AU where the Pillars of old Equestria and Stygian get sent far into the future instead of Limbo, the very sudden travel involved causing them to be reincarnated into new ponies due to time magics chaotic nature. These ponies getting memories of their past lives in the form of dreams often, all of them thinking it's just strange dreams. These ponies going through a very similar situation as their past lives, but also very different. The Pony of Shadows becoming separated from Stygians soul, now left wandering Equestria in search of a suitable replacement.

Twilight Sparkle is Stygians reincarnation, Apple Jack is Rock Hoofs reincarnation, Rainbow Dash is Flash Magnus reincarnation, Fluttershy is Mage Meadowbrooks reincarnation, Rarity is Mist Manes reincarnation, Pinkie Pie is Somnambula's reincarnation, and Starlight Glimmer is Starswirl the beardeds reincarnation.
Due to being Stygians reincarnation she often has nightmares.
It doesn't take Starlight Glimmer long to realize what her dreams meant, this knowledge going to her head. And contempt for Twilight Sparkle growing daily. It was supposed to be her as the element of magic, she was Starswirl the beardeds reincarnation after all wasn't she! It was supposed to be her close to Celestia and friends with the other elements of harmony. It was supposed to be her to save the day and become a princess. Her hatred and jealousy for the purple unicorn getting to the point of Starlight doing questionable like spreading rumors about Twilight Sparkle, and gaining a following by taking advantage of her heritage of Starswirls soul and similar magical abilities like time magic and her ability to create new spellwork like her cutie mark removal spell.
The pony of shadows is getting tempted by some pony and it's not Stygians reincarnation like it expected it to be. How beautifully ironic that Starswirls reincarnation would become the thing he himself sought to destroy completely. Starswirl having very black and white thinking about the so called villain Stygian had become, and was completely prepared to get rid of the small unicorn completely. The pony of shadows laughs at this turn of fate, Stygians reincarnation has done far more than Starswirl ever had, and Starswirls reincarnation is on a path to be far worse than Stygians corruption ever was.
