Yay the armadillo won! Even more yay that there's a shit ton more copper blocks! Going to steampunk the hell out of my next world. But most of all can't believe the autocrafter is finally happening!!! I can play it like factorio!!!!!! I seriously thought it would never happen and the developers would consider it op. My favourite update since hoppers.
Edit: forgot to say, now we can farm diamonds again! It's been a loooong time since they could be farmed via villager trades. Not sure if this will be a little slow but it's a guaranteed rate unlike mining.
this hour-long video is incredibly well-researched, and may now be the premier place to learn about Minecon (has it really been 7-13 years since these took place?) this got overshadowed by some of binguschondo's other videos, so i HIGHLY recommend you check this out! you can stop around Minecon 2015 or 2016, because that's when it stops being for returning adults, and he loses interest.
i hate it when media treats children like they're dumb and do the stupid voice with the insane unnatural intonation. it sounds fake and insane and, when you're trying to convey information, it has the accidental side effect of making it seem so impersonal.
i'm mostly talking about shows like minecon. i get that their game is kid friendly, but the game didn't start out that way. besides, the average minecraft player is 24 years old, according to mojang.
i think there is a way to communicate with audiences without doing dumb skits in the midst of it and treating your audience like they have the IQ of negative 2 because frankly it's just so much unironic cringe + it disrespects the intellect of children, i feel like. something something children deserve good media
I've finally got time to watch a but of Minecon live and it was so cool to see so many hermits being shown! I haven't watched all way through, not even close but Keralis, Gem, Pearl, Stress a d Grian (for a brief second) until now!
I also really enjoyed the Technoblade tribute. We got to see a bit of Sad-ist's animation on Minecon! How wild is that?
By unpopular demand I’m back. Today’s victim of my overthought holes and questions? Minecraft Mob Votes of course. Why does Mojang continue holding these when it only angers the community? Why do the biome vote losers get to come back and the mob vote losers don’t? Why is it that despite this, there are accounts of at least one or more mob vote losers appearing in Minecraft’s spin-off game, Minecraft Dungeons?
Granted we all know the answer: marketing, corporate laziness, and money. However I’m personally upset because I hate having to choose between the dinosaur coconut doggy and a smol little robot boy. I just want a personal army of robot boys is that too much to ask
Idk if this is a hot take or not but I think that Mojang shouldn’t do a mob vote this year. Or like- if they did, instead of showing off three new mobs to vote for, they take three mobs from the past votes to do a “revote” on.
So like for example...Copper Golem, Moobloom, and The Great Hunger (If my memory serves, these are all the 2nd place mobs from the other mob votes, which is why I chose them)
