rewatched all of bbc ghosts recently! still one of my favourite shows ever for sure, wanted to draw the coopers and the ghosts <3

like really quick sketches of a few of the characters from bbc ghosts my brother asked me to draw, I just picked out the ones I liked the most 🥸

Alison: If you bite it and you die, it’s poisonous. If it bites you and you die, it’s venomous.

Pat: What if it bites me and it dies!?

Captain: Then you’re poisonous. Jesus Christ, Pat, learn to listen.

Mike: What if it bites itself and I die?

Julian: That’s voodoo.

Robin: What if it bites me and someone else dies?

Pat: That’s correlation, not causation.

Mike: What if we bite each other, and neither of us die?

Julian: That’s kinky.

Alison: Oh my God.

Why can’t Robin leave button house? There’s not really any reason for him to be bound the the property line, it wasn’t there when he was died.

I’ve got some ideas but they all have flaws:

The area of land belonged to Robin’s tribe, this is the most likely theory but is this was the case his boundaries would be different to other ghosts as it’s very very unlikely that the cavemen and house owners (Humphrey, Fanny, Francis, ect) had exactly the same boundaries to their owned land.

The property boundaries can change themselves and when the land was brought to build the house they changed to fit the owned area, meaning one day robin could go anywhere he liked then the next he couldn’t.

He chooses to stay, but probably the least likely as after millions of years he probably would of chosen to leave and in Part of the Family he could of followed the car to tell Alison about Lucy.

I think a combination of 1 and 2 are most likely (Robin having to live be dead inside his group’s boundaries, then when the house put there Robin’s boundaries changed shape), but I’m still not really sure.

Anyone got any better theories?

This year's ghosts Christmas special was just so precious and sweet I love the captain being such a dad to kitty and embracing his softer side and like all pat centric episodes it made me cry and Alison and Mike are so sweet and Alison and the ghosts are amazing I love that she knows them so well-
