A messy Teru to cope with all the Teru slander I see on Pinterest.

It’s useless to bicker on the internet and better to focus on the aspects of fandoms that bring you joy, but, man, do I get pissed.

Well, can’t be helped!

Got a Grian/Xelqua design down for the Feather's Embers AU!!

Grian's business here is the Dreamland Bakery, and their top sale is sweet bread, thanks to a certain boisterous superhero.

Some design notes!!

I named his bakery "Dreamland Bakery" instead of "Dreamslayer Bakery" like his last name because I wanted it to have a softer feel to it. There's a little cloud with a sun above the sign and the flowers in and out of the cafe are dandelions as a reference to Dandelion Trio. Also, the windows on top of the facade look into Grian's apartment!

As for character design, I did want Grian to have a turtleneck sweater but when I drew it, it just kind of looked wrong? So I went with the collared sweater instead. As for those big round glasses, not only do they help him see, but there's a light refraction inside that make Grian's violet eyes appear blue!

And then for his vigilante design, Xelqua, I actually went through a number of variations for his outfit until I was happy with it. His visor is pink and semi-opaque, but there are little feathers that cover parts of his upper face as well. As for the bows, that's in reference to various Cute Guy designs I've seen.

The charms around his neck are the Hot Guy symbol, a wing as a Xelqua symbol, and a circle with blue and red squares as reference to a hero he used to work with.

His bow is collapsible and able to be hooked onto his boot by using some mechanisms, and the arrows he has, unofficially named piercing and hook arrows, are meant for either piercing though traps or locks, or injuring non-lethally.

Xelqua holds healing potion vials in his belt pouches, and the larger bag is for bandages and first aid. His quiver is on his leg rather than his back so his wings can move easier as well.

I'm thinking I want Xelqua's general color palette to be the same as the Cute Guy skin, but I'm probably gonna have to test until I find something I like, which will be harder since marker is kinda just not erasable lol
