What’s your fave movie of all time? And please explain to me why you like it in as much detail as possible. By the end of it I wanna feel like it’s my fave film too🫶
ah. shit. I have to choose just one??

MIAMI CONNECTION
It's not a good movie. It's the opposite. It is woefully inept at every turn and it makes me laugh every time I watch it. It is a litmus test for friendship.
Tumblr media
I talk about this movie so much on Twitter the director, Master Y. K. Kim, follows me.
Okay so about the movie...
The main characters of the movie are a band called Dragon Sound, oh and also they are ninjas. One plot thread is about Mark dating the sister of a rival ninja rock band, also Dragon Sound took that band's spot at the local dance club. Several inept fights happen, turns out the rival band works for ninja cocaine kingpin. Also half way through the movie they reveal they are all orphans and they live together in a house. Some stuff happens, it's unimportant.
Tumblr media
What is important is the origin of the movie. Y. K. Kim is a taekwondo instructor and motivational speaker. He put a loan out on his house and his dojo to make the movie, then a few weeks into production they ran out of money and the director they hired left the project, leaving Master Kim to finish the film with no money, no director, and no experience. And his students became the crew and the cast and everything else.
Tumblr media
They shot on public streets with no permits late at night, they used a public park, they did reshoots later to change the ending to a happy one from a bleak one. Uhhhh It's a weird movie. I lvoe it dearly. Oh and after a film full of violent bloody combat to solve issue this pops up:

Anyway, I suck in text form, I would absolutely talk your fucking face off in a voice chat or in person. I am extremely very passionate about movies of all kinds and this is 1000% my main special interest.
If you wanna know the 206 other movies I call my favorite you can check this list out:

The definition of "found family" consists of whether or not you can imagine a fanvideo about the characters in question sincerely set to "Friends" by Dragon Sound.

I think it's hilarious that the bad guys in Miami Connection firmly believe that the only thing standing between them and full control of the city is some rock band. Heck, the rock band wasn't even interfering with their drug trade business. Some drug dealer named Jeff just didn't like the fact that his sister was dating one of the band members and decided to start shit with them over it.
