Hmmmm what if Midoriya could use the green light that comes off of one for all as a distress beacon.... that'd be super neat. what if midoriya goes missing then all of a sudden theres a bright green beacon that lasts a few seconds before disappearing........... what if theres a dangerous fight and he gets separated and as a last ditch effort to save himself he lets out a flash of light..... what if all might ditches whatever he's doing to go help..... only to find midoriya isnt there anymore...................... what if.........

Hear me out!

A lot of bkdk fans want the conclusion in the story to be with a double team up fight. But I don’t think that’s gonna happen. In fact, I think it’s important that it doesn’t happen.

Katsuki has been bossing Izuku around all of their lives. But him falling after taking out AFO? He said “do your best, Izuku.” Which means he trusts him to do it on his own.

Izuku has been told he was useless all his life, the name Deku. But having Katsuki fight with him makes him feel stronger. But I think it’s important that in this fight, Izuku finds his own strength by himself.

Not only has Katsuki been smothering Izuku for years, but Izuku has sat there for the same amount of time thinking he’s not strong enough.

During the vigilante arc, it shows how insecure he is on his own strength. He thinks he has to do it alone to prove that he’s worthy. That if he accepts help that means he wasn’t worthy of OFA in the first place.

So to have this final fight be one where he alone defeats Shigaraki? I think that would be incredible. To have his confidence boost.

And in the relationship between bkdk, it shows that Katsuki believes he IS strong enough. He CAN do it. Finally accepting that Izuku can and will be a hero.

I think this will bring them so much closer together with that added trust!

Random rant here, but anyway -

You know how in MHA genderbend fics they give Izuku Midoriya a different name, usually Izumi or something? I loathe that.

Why? Well, you know how he's the ninth user of One for All? The ku in his name is nine. Each of the One for All wielders has their number somewhere in their name.

But enter any genderbend fic? Goodbye number! I have yet to find a genderbend fic where they kept the ku in the name.

Another note that fic users should use sometime: when the OFA users call Izuku Nine they're probably calling him Ku, which is adorable as all get out.

People really want to give Deku AFO in aus. I get this, role reversal and all. What im surprised I never see tho is Deku awakening AFO through OFA.

See All For One WAS the second holder, so his vestige and quirk should be stockpiled.

After all AFO seems to be built upon two main quirks. stockpiling, the quirk afo stoll and gave to his brother, and his brothers ability to give his quirk.

But what if his brother WAS quirkless, and it was just half of afo this whole time. Or that he did have a quirk and it was "my quirk can't be taken" instead of my quirk can be given but not taken. Has any ofa holder even tried to take a quirk? I mean Deku has been the only holder to use more than the stockpiling and gifting aspect, who's to say the others couldnt use the previous quirks the whole time and just didn't. Whose to say they couldnt steal quirks this whole and just didn't.

Unlocking the Final Quirk

⚠️ Spoiler Warning through chapter 363 with predictions for future chapters.

Pretty sure we're a ways away from having the focus shifted back to the Shiggy showdown (gotta give the stans some time to digest the turmoil). I always like to guess how things end and this fight is no exception. I've thought about what the worst case scenario as described here. But let's talk about what the final OFA quirk may be and its impact on the fight because I have a few ideas. We’re all grasping at straws so pick your least favorite or throw in an idea of your own!

Here's what we know so far. As far as quirks go, Deku's unlocked all but one and there has previously seemed to be a corresponding quirk to whatever part of his consciousness had autonomy while inside of OFA. One For All (the power stocking quirk) now contains

Transference from AFO's Brother Yoichi Deku is likely the last holder for OFA due to the power it's evolved into

??? from #2

Fa Jin from #3 (kinda like Fat Gums store and release type quirk)

Danger Sense from #4 Shinomori

Black Whip from #5 Banjo

Smokescreen from #6 En

Float from #7 Nana Shimura

Historically, Deku's quirks have always been unlocked with an emotional catalyst which is typically Bakugo. So we know things will pop off once he sees the state of our boy. Deku is already rearing to whip out the second's quirk en route to the big fight and, from his exchange with #2, we know:

It's meant to be used as a last resort

It can't be used in the usual way as the quirk holder once did

Deku called upon it once before and it didn't work out for him.

So here are my hypotheses for what the final quirk might look like:

Resurrection Quirk

Likelihood: 0/10

This would be convenient for the sake of saving my boy Blasty but not very satisfying as a way to tie everything up so cleanly nor would it help to overcome AFO!Shigaraki.

Time Warp Quirk

Likelihood: 5/10

There has to be a reason #2 looks so much like Bakugo. What if Deku is able to phase through time? Kind of like Eri's quirk? I mean, it kinda seemed like he was going to attempt to use the quirk in his hurry to get to the final fight so what if he can phase through single points in a person's timeline. He could, 1) phase further into his own timeline to close the gap between where he is and the fight, 2) phase and prevent Tenko from twisting into AFO!Shigaraki which gives Deku a way to redeem without killing, 3) ... maybe phase and prevent Bakugo from taking that hit.

Nepotism Baby Quirk/Self Referential Quirk

Likelihood: 3/10

What if Bakugo is just a shadow of #2. A Benjamin Button/Melody Song-esque projection sent through time which also informs why he resisted Deku for so long just as he resists him in OFA (not a ship thing. More an observation of how someone might not name/warm-up-to a lamb meant for slaughter... unless you're Dumbledore). Maybe he’s a relic from a point in time where he failed Deku and was able to go back and course correct realizing, now, Deku would have to bear the burden of OFA where he failed. It’s also interesting as to why he couldn’t face Deku in OFA before. Then the idea that they're always chasing after each other is a bit more poignant. I do wonder if that really is his grandfather or something low-key though. So many families locked in this age old war but that’s a crackpot theory (or two) for another post.

Boom Baby Quirk

Likelihood: 6/10

Two things, LOOK AT THE SUPPORT EQUIPMENT. What if #2 does in fact have a blaster quirk. Would explain the concern in its use as that could be destructive but also, if it's evolved to be more devastating, suppose that really is the nuclear option? Also, if Bakugo is Bakugone, I imagine he would rise from the grave and throw a god-tier tantrum.

Future Guaranteed Quirk

Likelihood: 6/10

Plain and simple, #2 had a foresight quirk similar to Sir Nighteye's. Why this quirk? Well, how else did they escape from a building explosion? This also hinges that the quirk that began to manifest in the scene below actually wasn't #4's which has already been disproven since #4 mentioned being called upon prematurely but still, what if that's a red herring. #2's concern for the future has got to stem from something. So what if what was once a simple foresight quirk evolved into a future manifestation quirk? Kind of like Domino's lucky superpower or like Nagito Komaeda's Ultimate Lucky but less "lucky" and just more willful?

Tornado/Weather Based Quirk

Likelihood: 4/10

I think it'd be an interesting call back to the poem that his name was inspired by while also being a possible but unrealistic form of travel. Not really the "nuclear option" that makes sense for a floating battleground but maybe that's what makes it a last resort.

Oration Quirk

Likelihood: 4/10

This is kind of hinged on Bakugo simply not being dead at all (I mean, why would Best Jeanist mend a corpse?). But suppose there's a reason why, even though OFA started when a power stocking quirk met Yoichi's transference quirk, the vestiges call #2 "Leader". Similar to the Meta Liberation Army politician's Incite quirk, but with the caveat that #2 actually felt guilt for the blood shed in trying to best AFO. Deku found his voice in One For All when deciding to save Tenko so what if #2's quirk is the ability to unite and mobilize? To tip the balance in someone's heart like he did with Lady Nagant. He needs a foothold (we saw it fail with Jailbreaker) but there's definitely a chasm growing within the AFO!Shigaraki's identity split that's due to be exploited. Deku's influence has been seen to inspire so many people already (Todoroki, Iida, Kota, Eri, Uraraka, etc.) but maybe there's a charm-based quirk floating around in there. And that’s on the power of friendship and seeing the good in others.

Light/Solar Quirk

Likelihood - 6/10

What if #2 is the literal answer to AFO's darkness. A light so pure and powerful it's like a solar flare. It can be speed, it can be camouflage, it can be damning. Maybe it's what brings clear skies after the coming rain.

Like what if this was actually the first time #2’s quirk actually manifested 👀

So I’ve been joking for a while about how Inko manages to afford all of Izuku’s AM merch

But I decided to nerd out and look closer, and I’m pretty sure the only expensive piece Izuku owns is the poster he got from Sir

You might think his dorm looks absolutely stacked

but that’s only because it’s a very small room and he brought every piece he owns

If you look in his old room it’s all the same posters

so he’s owned it all for at least a few years, he’s been working up to this for god knows how many years, just to be the proud owner of 5 posters so basic even he would put tape on them

All of his figures are less than 50$

One of which he’s had since he was a child

And it doesn’t look like the other unidentified figures are anything special either(except maybe AM in his yellow suit)

Izuku only has generic fanboy shit, like maybe one of the posters is a custom but I honestly I don’t think he owns a single special anything

The dead guy poster is 100% the coolest thing he has, no wonder he’s so reverent about it 💀

As for fits this is all we’ve really seen is

So yeah Inko isn’t dropping stacks on merch, I’m pretty sure those sweaters were a 2 for 1 deal because they’re almost identical 💀

So friends and foes. Here’s what I think is gonna happen!

With Shigaraki taking away danger sense, I feel like he’s going to take each quirk away individually. Leaving Izuku quirkless in the end.

BUT! This is important! Because then, quirkless, Izuku can still prove himself. Not only will he know how to fight without a quirk, but Shigaraki can’t take any more quirks from him if he’s quirkless.

I feel like Izuku is going to be able to convince Shigaraki that he can change while being quirkless. Shigaraki will be confused as to why he’s still trying and Izuku will tell him his story.

I have a feeling they can save Shigaraki. But it’s going to take Izuku spilling the beans of his own story! And defeating him quirkless!
