it kinda just clicked for me today and ik someone else has probably said something similar to this, but in the song Time To Pretend by MGMT says
“We'll choke on our vomit and that will be the end/We were fated to pretend/ To pretend/ We're fated to pretend/ To pretend”
this is like a direct prediction of what happens to felix, and im not sure if emerald fennell planned this, but if she did that’s just genius!! all of the easter eggs through the films are crazy smart and really fun to over analyze!
not only that stuff about felix, but the more obvious part where is says “fated to pretend” is in reference to oliver making up his life story because he knew that was the only way felix would keep talking with him, especially after their argument in his dorm
everything is so well placed throughout the film and i just wish i could see it all again for the first time
