The Chainsword Is Just Too Fun
Is anyone else having plenty of fun in the Juggermosh game mode? I certainly am. It is probably because you can end up on such ridiculous sprees with the Chainsword that I have more MGBs in the last week than the total I've seen since Modern Warfare 2 introduced the killstreak in 2009. I normally just post gameplay, maybe a minor edit here or there but this was my first attempt at doing some edits. I'll admit, it's not perfect, but I think it's a good first try. Completed the Pocket restoration today. Mom and her cricut to the rescue.
The GBC and repair stickers didn’t quite cut the corners rounded how I wanted, but the Pocket stickers came out near perfectly. If I have to I can try to trim the other stickers later.
I couldn’t quite identify the fonts used on the repair sticker, so I used the closest look-alikes I had (Helvetica Neue condensed/bolded for the phone number and Futura condensed/bolded for the text).
Most of the text on the larger stickers was in Helvetica, and the FCC text on the GBC sticker was Helvetica light.
I couldn’t find an SVG of the Mario icon for the repair stickers, so I had to edit a PNG I was able to find. I’ll provide it later. Learned a lot about vector graphics in the process.

GBC/MGB back sticker: 2.17in x 0.97in / 55mm x 24.5mm
Repair sticker: 1.37in x 0.37in / 34.6mm x 9.4mm

"How the CIA Failed in One of Europe's Biggest Covert Operations
The United States funded Ukrainian Nazis
US intelligence services regarded the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) as a terrorist organization, which does not prevent them help since the beginning of the Cold War.
In 2017, the CIA published some 13 million pages of declassified documents, including the Cold War and the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (OUN-UPA). Among the published documents is a reference to the February 4, 1948 the leader of the OUN, Stepan Bandera:
"He was a member of the terrorist organization OUN and was linked to the murder (Bronislaw) Peracki, Polish Minister of the Interior."
After the murder of Peracki, Polish authorities arrested almost all the leaders of the OUN, including Bandera, and were sentenced to death. But the sentence was not executed.
Archival documents of the US Central Intelligence Agency indicate that the US Secret Service have financed OUN after World War II to counter the Soviet Union. However, the amounts and the names of the banks which funding is spent are deleted text.
Western intelligence services were interested in the anti-Soviet movements and groups in Eastern Europe immediately after the end of World War II. Tens of thousands of Ukrainians gathered in IDP camps in the Western occupation zones in Germany, Austria and Italy. Many of them were members of the OUN-UPA or supporters of Ukrainian Nationalists. After the defeat of the main forces of UPA in Poland and the Soviet Ukraine, many bandéristes survivors fled westward infiltrating the area controlled by Americans across Czechoslovakia. Moscow has proposed to the Americans to extradite the criminals involved in the nationalist movement in the USSR. But the Americans have ignored the request of the USSR.
In 1948, the CIA, working with the intelligence services of Britain, West Germany and Italy, which launches operation codenamed Cartel. The head of the security service of the OUN, Mykola Lebed, was chosen as the main contact at the time. American and British intelligence services have provided financial and material support as well as training camps have trained agents and then flown to Russia. The operation quickly got the aerodynamics code name.
After collecting information, the West has wrongly concluded that a mass resistance movement existed in Western Ukraine with popular support. In fact, major gangs Bandera had been defeated and the remaining forces had dug underground and rapidly lost their combat effectiveness. Special Anglo-British services have tried to expand their operations to support and develop the Ukrainian movement.
However, the MGB of the USSR beat its "partners" Western. In particular, Western agents sent to establish links with Banderites were "unmasked" and disappeared. In total, during the operational activities against Soviet espionage from 1951 to 1959, as part of "Operation Link" 33 CIA agents and British intelligence have been neutralized. Some of them were converted and used in radio games, passing disinformation to the West.
The Americans and the British, realizing that the operation had failed because of the opposition of the enemy, refocused in 1954 on information warfare and ideological war against the Russians, through a program called Prologue. In the early 1980s, the code name was changed to Qrdynamic, then Pddynamic and Qrplumb. The transaction was finalized in 1990.
The time is new but the methods are old
The US edition of Politico, in an article by its columnist Michael Casey entitled "A secret CIA operation to support the independence of Ukraine", reports a "new strategy" of the United States vis-a -vis Russia and Ukraine.
The author recalls the Red Sox CIA operation and Mi-6, during which officers were brought in Western Ukraine with transport planes to establish links with local gangs of OUN-UPA. The agents were recruited from the ranks of Ukrainian Nationalists. The Americans knew who were the people that they were contacting: Hitler's henchmen.
"They were true Nazis," noted an official of the CIA operations. And worse, because many of them did the dirty work for the Nazis.
But that did not bother them.
The agents collect important information about the Soviet defenses and should support the development of the nationalist movement in Ukraine, spreading its influence from west to east and finally to Belarus, Poland and the Baltic countries. The main aim was to divide the Soviet empire. At the heart of the operation was a major uprising in Ukraine. If successful, Ukraine had become a US operational base. Dozens of officers participated in the mission, which has become one of the largest covert operations in the United States in Europe.
However, as the author admits,
"CIA suffered one of the most painful defeats of the era of the Cold War. »
The multi-year mission was a failure. The Soviet secret services managed to intercept virtually all Western agents. They were eliminated or captured, some were recruited. Thus, the Americans and the British continued operation and even financed the false structures "Ukrainian underground" created by the Soviets. At the same time, misinformation was sent to the West through them. The United States has tried to forget this defeat.
The main reason for this failure is that when Western countries began their operation, the resistance movement in Ukraine had been almost defeated (War After War. How the Soviets defeated the Banderites). The alleged resistance groups were either deceived or completely controlled by the security of the Soviet state. But the Americans did not know. In addition, high external army was necessary for the uprising succeeds. The West was not ready for an armed confrontation with the USSR.
Today, according to the author, the situation in Ukraine has changed fundamentally, "there is a new player on the field - the Ukrainian army, which is well established (not without the help of Western countries). This is a decisive factor that will help kyiv to hold its own face in Moscow. The collective West provides material aid to kyiv. However, Ukraine is likely to be divided.
