So... how are murder mysteries (like Mer-Mysteries) a thing, on a planet that has access to truth spells? E.g.:

Lord Diddlesworth: I was nowhere near Marlenna's bedroom at the time of the murder!

Sorcerer: Zappity-Zap

Lord Diddlesworth: Oh fuck it, I killed her.

Shera has that Adventure Time effect of

Me: Oh god, this episode is about a side character, time for some filler trash.

Things Catra believe

(In no particular order)

That there never has been and never will be any good reason for indoor waterfalls

That - fancy as princess food might be - ration bars still are better

(After meeting Adora's brother and learning about Skeletor) That SHE could take Castle Grayskull in a week if she wanted to.

That horses are idiots (or at least that one particular horse)

That cats should hibernate over the winter months (Melog backs her up on this one)

That she didn't beat up every single higher-up in the Horde to STILL have to do morning runs, ADORA!

That the way Adora looks when she comes out from the showers is the single sexiest sight in the universe

That if ONE MORE muscular bimbo comes simping for HER girlfriend someone will die.

That Hordak's power armour is kinda cool

That Scorpia and Entrapta are idiots for forgiving her and that she doesn't really deserve it 😿

That Sparkles is up to something (she's right)

That she hated every minute of being chipped and doesn't secretly sometimes long for the bliss and freedom of responsibilities that came with the loss of will

That she only lets Bow give her ear scritches to do him a favour. It's not like she secretly loves it or anything

That Glimmer dresses like that on purpose (she's right)

Don't let the water princess know, but she's getting hooked on the Mermystery books

I love She-ra. This show really made me smile, laugh, cry and love every character so freaking much. It taught me a lot of things about forgiviness, healing and definitely inspired me to be a better person. I really wish i could rewatch this show for the first time again because it's one of the greatest feelings i've ever experienced in my life. I remember when i finished to watch the show for the first time i felt so empty, i wanted to see more. I wanted to see Catra and Adora healing from their trauma and being happy together. I wanted to see Catra bonding with the princesses and building a friendship with them. I wanted to see Scorpia finally being happy, confident and feeling good enough in an enviroment where she is loved for who she is. I wanted to see Scorpia and Perfuma being happy together. I wanted to see Kyle, Lonnie and Rogelio again. I wanted to see them and catradora starting over again and being friends, maybe not like they used to be back then when they were kids but like a new fresh start i guess. I wanted to see Mermista and Sea Hawk playing detectives and solving mermysteries together again with the rest of princesses. I wanted to see Catra playing mermysteries. I wanted to see Spinetossa being happy together. I wanted to see glitra getting closer and acting like sisters sometimes because i know they would argue over dumb things, piss each other off constantly for fun and teaming up to make pranks on Adora, Bow and the rest of people. I wanted to see glimbow...my glimbow being happy together. I wanted to see Micah and Casta's dynamic and i wanted to see how Catra would bond with them. I wanted to hear Catra saying "Hey, Adora" again. I wanted to hear Adora saying "I love you, Catra". I wanted to see Glimmer saying "fuck you" at least 1 damn time. I wanted to see how glitra would get over their past and heal together. I wanted to see catradora kissing again. I wanted to see the best friend squad having a sleepover. I wanted them. I still do. I love them.

I watched this tiktok after finishing the show. I remember i started crying so bad. I love and miss them and i will love and miss them forever.

i think white out might be one of the most jarring tone shifts in the show

because on one hand you have adora losing her autonomy and senses, and catra is willing to use her as a human weapon to kill adora's friends without her consent

... and on the other hand you have "drunk" adora talking about catra's favorite number, and scorpia and sea hawk whining about not being able to get their grumpy crushes' attention

this is clearly not the only example of the godawful tone shift of this show (the DnD and mermysteries eps are probably the most annoying ones imo), but whenever the fandom talks about white out, it's about catra's "looks like you're mine now, adora" (taking away the very context behind it) or adora being stupid or catra's favorite number.

basically white out is just a silly funny episode and not a huge fucking red flag.

She-Ra characters’ favorite movies!!! This one will probably be pretty controversial.

Adora: Alien. But she gets scared and has to cuddle with Catra (that’s her favorite part).

Catra: Predator. She can’t tell who she’s rooting for half the time though.

Glimmer: Captain Harlock: Space Pirate. She loves the aesthetic.

Bow: Star Wars. He’s very opinionated on the watch order.

Perfuma: Up in Smoke (never gonna let that joke go)

Mermista: Knives Out (but she’s waiting for the MerMysteries movie franchise)

Sea Hawk: The Princess Bride. He fancies himself Westley.

Scorpia: She’s a MCU fan and can’t pick her favorite of them.

Double Trouble: They hate watch Master of Disguise regularly.

Entrapta: Pacific Rim. Giant mechs! Fighting! Tech!

Hordak: Sleepless in Seattle. He loves romcoms!

Madame Razz: Primer. To her the plot is very straightforward, predictable, and linear

Shadow Weaver: Matilda. She has no idea why such wonderful and caring parents were so maligned!

Frosta: Godzilla movies. She has plans for an ice kaiju once she gets better at controlling her powers.

Micah: Star Trek: Wrath of Khan. He and Bow get into arguments about the better franchise and Glimmer has to tear them apart.

Kyle: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World - He fancies himself Scott. He isn’t.

Kadroh: Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. He loves how wrong it is about the universe!

Melog: The Aristocats. ‘Nuff said.

Netossa and Spinnerella: Lord of the Rings. They watch the Extended Editions together at least once a year.

We all know Mermista loves the Mermysteries books, which clearly are inspired by Agatha Christie-like novels, and so by Hercule Poirot. So I thought, what if other characters, for fun or to mess with her, were to play other famous detectives ? (Columbo, Benoit Blanc, Sherlock Holmes...)

It would be hilarious if She Ra had instead done a Sherlock parody and Mermista is Sherlock while Perfuma was Watson. I do think that if movies were a thing on Etheria, Knives Out and Glass Onion would be watched by the Alliance. Half the people would be watching and picking up clues and the other half would be screaming at the screen about who they think did it.

She literally hated being called 'cute' cause it seemed too vulnerable, imagine her reaching a point where shes comfortable abt infodumping freely abt her interests........ nice

Listening to a review of Mermysteries! This really is Mermista's episode, she's sewing chaos while everyone else is bickering about their deep-seated issues.

I wish she had some more eps. It's such a tightly written show but I can dream.

can we talk about the fact that queen angella told adora "take care of each other" before she died

and adora, being the disaster that she is, later yelled at glimmer that the last thing angella asked adora to do was to take care of glimmer

like adora is literally incapable of internalizing the fact that people can and should take care of her too, to the point that she skewed glimmer's mom's last fucking words

anyways my point here is everybody in this show needs therapy

hmm, maybe the Mermysteries(?) episode? Pretty sure it's the one where they try to find out the traitor in season 4 (which is Double Trouble). I think the princesses trying to solve it in a "detective" way just got old and honestly got on my nerves. Idk why SPOP makes the characters so annoying (and not in a good way) when they're passionate about something.

mermystery and caleb cleveland kid cop have the exact same vibes and i kinda fuck with both of them
