Does anyone know what happened to Merkase?
Merkase was an author who used to write fanfics and published original stories. About a year ago they posted that there was a tornado and they were locked inside their basement and haven't posted anything since. Their Patreon is also gone now, so I was wondering if anyone knows if they are alive and okay?

Hello 🤗 sorry for bothering dear. Do know any fics with where levi is disable and kinda has to figure out his life now. And sort of like lover or caregiver Erwin ( where he has not lost his arm ) ? I know one called captain and Courtesan.. something with similar vibes . Anyways have a good day
Hello Anon, no bother at all! Dragona's The Captain and the Courtesan is a lovely fic. I can also highly recommend the sequel Marking if you haven't already read it. I'm not sure I've come across anything with quite the same vibe but here are a few fics featuring disabled Levi and caregiver Erwin, in one capacity or another. I haven't read many of these but you can give them a try.

Wild-Type by Merkase
Modern fantasy. Dragon AU. Eruri, Mobuhan and Mikenana. 42 chapters. Unfinished Detective Erwin Smith breaks up a dragon fighting ring and takes a tough but injured dragon, Levi, into his care.
Wild-Type is one of the great Eruri must reads. Even if you're not into fantasy, this is a terrific story. Merkase builds a world that's fascinating and realistic. Each personality is in character despite the fact Levi, Nanaba and Moblit are technically dragons. The trust and relationship that grows between Erwin and Levi is slow but wonderfully portrayed. The Ackerbond is described as Allure that some dragons experience with their partners. Although the fic is unfinished, it's definitely worth reading.

Any recommendations for sad Eruri fanfics? I’m in need of a good cry.

IF YOU HAVEN’T READ WILD TYPE BY @merkase YET, I SUGGEST YOU HOP ON IT CAUSE YOU’RE MISSING OUT
Here’s some more photos from the impromptu Wild type make up test run. Unfortunately both my liquid latex and rigid collodion dried out on me, and so I did not have the chance to attempt scar make up. Not gonna lie, I was looking forward to that the most. Though I do have some WT photoshoot (?) pics from AR2016 that have the scarring make up done
For the future I’ll probably explore an option of gloves for this, since it took a good 40min to apply the make up to my left hand. I cant imagine how long (and shitty) it’ll be to do my right hand.
Materials used:
daiso fake nails, shaped and painted before hand
daiso nail tape adhesive- the one I got was really good for temporary applications, were it held on very well (for the first application) and was easy to remove
face paint/ body paint, mainly black and white
some old smokey eye shadow pallet, used black (non shimmer), white (shimmer), and silver (shimmer)
piece of netting from a plastic loofah (to get the pattern)
Ben Nye final seal, matte
shitty brush that came with the face paint, good quality fan brush, Qtips

Wow that’s a tough question! My favorite on-going eruri fic is probably Wild-Type by @merkaseAgain by @cherryamber is another favorite of mine but hasn’t been updated in a while :”) But it’s a collection of reincarnation AU one-shots, so I guess there will never be a “real” ending to it.Dresden by @hedera-helixwriteseruri was great too even though I never dared to read the last chapter after I’ve heard some spoilers about it :”) I still plan to buy the hardcopy of it once the paperback version is ready!All your demons and desires is another classic that I really enjoyed.And I still love baccuroth’s short series. My favorites are her priest/demon AU Oremus and the vampire AU Written on the sky.
As for favorite AUs… I love them all tbh and it changes every day. I’m not sure if I can pick a specific one. If you look at the fics above, they are all different AUs XD Instead I’d say as long as there is smut, I’m happy bc I’m a simply girl.

15. hardest verse to write
Verse? Universe? I’m going to assume Universe. Because my initial thought about this question was poetry verse? And I can’t do poetry.
Assuming this is saying universe, I can’t imagine writing a Journey/Epic Universe. (Definition of Epic: an exceptionally long and arduous task or activity). Wild-Type by @merkase is an excellent example of this. The characters in that story are going on this long ass trip, and I couldn’t write something like that. Even sitting back and trying to imagine writing something where characters actually takes a journey blows my mind. I can write short road trips. I can’t write anything longer than that.
16. easiest verse to write
The easiest verse for me to write is actually the SNK canon universe. It requires pretty minimal research because I’m of the opinion (that someone else came up with), that the technological time period of the world within the walls is… I think it was the early 1800s? I remember that because I had to Google when IV therapy fluid was invented because I couldn’t figure out how Erwin survived in a coma for so long. But if they have the technology of the early 1800s, then he was definitely hydrated through an IV while he was in a coma. Otherwise, he would have died in a bed within about four days of dehydration, and that’s fucked up. I also read the manga to make sure that I’m not just randomly making up information.
23. least favorite story you’ve ever written
Uggghhh…. “Like a Stone in the Sea”. I wrote Levi disobeying an order just for a conflict tool. Please kill me. Six people have bookmarked it. I don’t want to take it away from them. But I want to delete it. So badly. And the title. It’s just all bad. It’s all bad!
24. favorite scene you’ve ever written
The first scene in Chapter 17 of Smack. Before I write, I can typically see the images in my mind before I put them down. And the night that I thought of that chapter, I cried. I cried like a little girl. It ruined me. I don’t know why that image was so powerful for me, but it hurt a lot. I typically don’t cry over my own work.
