I love Eruri / No Name fics. Like The Art of Deception by @EmBeanies. Levi commissioning NSFW fanart by his number one fan (Erwin, of course!) all while keeping secret who he really is? This is a meet cute rom com on steroids and I'm here for it.

I know the main objective of these stories is the relationship between our favorite duo. But I like to try and imagine what No Name's songs might sound like. To me, Levi's voice is like this:

Listen, I really hate that I do this to you all the time, but ... you've gotta make a choice here ... to read this amazing fic by @whitesilverandmercury called The Talk.

First up, yes, it's mostly Ereri. But there is a hard right straight into Eruri (my OTP) and the Levi/Eren plot, which is entertaining and hot as hell, levels up to some heartbreaking Levi/Erwin truth. The writing is so gorgeous and the dialogue is killer. It's like I was reading a movie. Picture Levi as a jaded radio DJ going through the motions in rainy 2000s Seattle. Levi lives with his off again love Erwin as platonic roommates, and watches as Erwin moves past him in his quest to manifest a straight life and settle down with Petra. Meanwhile, Levi's life has ground to a halt and he can't get the hang of adulting. Does he keep up the crazy sexcapades for the sake of his radio persona on The Talk, or does he put on his big boy panties and face turning 30 like a grown up?

Before Levi can choose a path, he gets sucked into the orbit of UW college sophomore Eren, the Heaven and Hell club's hottest stripper. Jaeger Bomb (of course he's called that) and Levi have a spicy interaction and before you can say Pearl Jam the two are in a whirlwind tit for tat romance. Eren gets free show tickets and mature conversation, and Levi gets public bragging rights about dating a stripper. And you guessed it, neither of them expected to fall in love. Does it magically work out in the end? Yes, and no. There is no romcom ending here, just some real, true twists and turns as these kids figure out some crazy, stupid love.

Hanji, Mikasa, Jean, Armin, Ymir, Reiner and even Pixis all make guest appearances, and I can say with certainty that the way @whitesilverandmercury weaves these characters into 21st century Seattle is nothing short of brilliant. As a Seattleite, and original 90s gal, The Talk just resonates. I've read a LOT of fanfiction starring these idiots, and this is one of my all time favorites. I'm not doing it justice. Just read it.

Can someone remake this with Teacher!Erwin and Janitor!Levi? Please, please, pretty please? Maybe @solarfry?

I don't know if this is a popular opinion or not, but after seeing some of Henry Cavill's work I think he would make an amazing Erwin Smith in a live action version of AOT. He's got the stunt training, the sword flinging, height, hair (with a little peroxide), the bod, the eyes, and the face for Commander Handsome. And he can pull off the coldness and gravitas needed, and his voice is imposing (for THAT speech.) And dude has eyebrows.

Of course, I hope they never make AOT into a live action movie or series because the anime is perfect and nothing can top it. But damn is Henry pretty.

Is Levi taking a shower? What is that look for? WHO is that look for? Is Erwin joining him? Where do they hang the towels? Do they wash each other’s backs? I have so many questions.

One thing I don't understand about Midnight Sun is no one comforts Erwin as he lays there dying. Levi is certainly capable of it - in the first season we see him grabbing hands with an anonymous dying soldier and declaring: "Your strength won't die with you! The torch will be carried on by me!" But Levi makes no move to touch Erwin, or take his hand, or smooth his hair away from his forehead. He doesn't speak directly to him, instead he talks over Erwin's body to Floch and Hange. And Hange, who moments before grabbed Mikasa, held her back from attacking Floch and gently talked her into accepting Armin dying; she's silent for Erwin, too. Was this some rigid form of respect? Were they so shell-shocked from the battle they had nothing left for Erwin? Were they in denial? I'm just hyper focused on the lack of physical comfort for such an important man in his last moments. It's so odd.

Erwin Smith is a messy bitch who lives for drama.

If I could be at Isayama’s Q&A at AnimeNYC I’d ask who won the fight between Mikasa and Annie.
