Hi there! I wanted to preface this by saying that your submas and Nimbasa trio art are awesome, and I adore the way you draw them and write their interactions ❤️ . Their expressions, the way they move and interact with each other and the world around them, it's great 👍.
There's something I wanted to ask regarding your comics, and I ask this with the utmost respect 🙏, because it's something I've been wondering: where are their parents? It's awesome that they do all this stuff together, but the parents are, like, never brought up. Not even Elesa's after her introduction to the twins. And Ik that in the Pokemon verse, you're free to do whatever at age 10, but I still wanted to ask in your comics, at least, since they're still so young, if there's going to be any mentions of them.
I don't want you to feel pressured to draw designs for their parents or anything like that! It's perfectly understandable if you've never thought of the subject, I just wanted to know if they're still in the picture or if, for drama effect, they're orphans adopted by uncle Drayden in your lore. (Ofc, if you believe in the uncle Drayden theory, that is).
And once again, thank you for all the work you do! You're awesome, and your art is awesome 👌. And I really hope this ask doesn't come off as mean or offensive, I'm just really curious about anything you'd be willing to give about submas parents. Thank you 😊 for everything once again. Your work is greatly appreciated 🙏.
:0!
Going to be honest, I didn’t really think about them parents much— pokemon treats most parent figures as non-entities, so… yeah. Feral teenagers running around.
If you want to hear my rambling though! (Note that this is all work in progress! Things are inclined to change.)
Worldbuilding for this iteration, I like to think it’s cultural that everybody has a pokemon starter/ ace that they grow with, but it depends on individuals to decide how close their lives intertwine. That in mind,
Ingo and emmet have two moms! Their ma’ is drayden’s twin sister— Kaita, haxorous ace, and a dragon specialist. And their mother, Lucielle, a stoutland ace, works as a full time trainer. The ladies are a bit absent from the twin’s life because they have their own business, but like to send Ingo and Emmet stuff from wherever they roam. (They tried their best when the kids were younger. But talking about having kids, and actually raising kids are two different topics in life.)
Drayden serves as an uncle figure for the twins, but he’s a bit bitter he got two patrats dumped on him.
((Does the lack of parent figures and a distant uncle have lasting effects on ingo and emmet? That’s up for your interpretation. Though it would explain latching onto each other and then later litwick and tynamo…))
As for the pachirisu child—
Elesa’s parents are separated. Her dad, Rin, works a full time desk job. He means the best, but he’s never home. He lost his staraptor a while back and is still dealing with the grieving process, and isn’t really equipped to look after a kid on top of all that. Elesa’s mom, Himawari, is still in Sinnoh and works as a ranger. Her ace is a solrock.
(Why are they separated? That’s for you guys to postulate! I am simply throwing ocs at the wall.)
Elesa was moved to unova partially due to her dad’s new job, and partially due to that Entire Nebulous Situation. She adapts fast, but it’s not a fun adaption.
Anyways, the twins and elesa in turn grew up very independent as a result.
And that’s the barebones!

Random thing of meeting Ingo and Emmet’s dad.
- when you are firstly introduced to your lovers’s dad, you were terrified. He stood tall, with an angry scowl on his face (much like Ingo’s, though deeper, and the lines of age on his face only made it look more menacing.) his wide frame took up most of the door frame.
- It was on accident, you were just stopping by to bring Ingo and Emmet some lunch.
- “Dear! I’m so sorry, we got so caught up in work we forget to mention it.” Ingo still happily took your homemade lunch, as did Emmet. “This is our dad! Dad, our darling we were telling you about!” Emmet smiled.
- The man’s expression barely moved before he held his hand out to you, “Arthur.”
- You shake his hand, giving him your own name, but he merely nods and sits on the sofa in the office.
- You were almost scared to look to the much older man, he had those same alabaster eyes, but they weren’t familiar to you as the twins’s were.
- The twins are and chatted with you and each other, as they told stories of today.
- Arthur, however, wasn’t saying anything, seemingly just relaxing to his sons voices. Emmet is pouting cause you haven’t given him his daily dose of affection, but that twin link tells him enough.
- But luckily for you, they know just how to break the ice.
- In the middle of Emmet telling you what happened today, Ingo chimes in “yeah, your plan backfired so badly. It reminded me of the time you slammed your own hand in the car door, that dad was teaching us how to fix, thinking it was mine.”
- You snort, only for your laugh to be deafened by the louder one next to you. Arthur leans back in his seat, cackling.
- Emmet whines “oh great, now both of you are against me.” Knowing just what’s going to happen.
- You’re shocked when Arthur pulls out his wallet, letting the long album fall from it, and showing you a picture near the bottom.
- “That’s us at the hospital. Had to make sure he didn’t break anything.” You’re stunned, you can hear the joy in his voice, remembering the time fondly, even if his face doesn’t show it.
- “What about that one?” You point to a picture higher up, one of the older pictures he has.
- Silver eyes soften at it.
- “That one? Ah, they must’ve been no older than five, and they somehow got into my train kits that I kept when I retired.” He chuckles “they had oil stains on their clothes for weeks.”
- “Dad, please, no more.” Emmet grimaced, knowing there is no stopping Arthur when he gets started.
- And there is no stopping you when you see cute pictures of your boyfriends when they were younger.
- “Ooo what about this one?” You point to a picture of them as kids, covered in mud with a equally muddy Herdier, while Emmet holds up a Tynamo.
- “Daring, please-“ Emmet groans, once again cut off.
- “Ah that’s them with my Herdier, Pepper, she’s a good old girl, kept those two in check when I wasn’t around. I came out back to call them in for dinner, and found ‘em all absolutely filthy. Turns out, they used her so Emmet could catch his own Pokémon.”
- “So, what about Ingo and Chandelure?”
- “He got that one from me, and my little Lilac at home, she’s my lampet.”
- You found it so easy to talk to him, falling easily into a full blown conversation with him as he answers your questions, and tells you stories of what it was like raising Ingo and Emmet. He’s more than happy to show you pictures too! You found out he use to work at gear station as the engineer, in fact he usually stops by as some of his friends kids work here too.
- “Ya know, y’all should come over for dinner sometime.”
- At this, the twins perk up.(as they had given up trying to stop their father from telling you all their embarrassing stories.)
- “Oh! How about this weekend?”
- “Yes! Yes! We are off then!”
- You can’t help but get excited, wanting to meet their dad’s Pokémon, and wanting to see the bigger album.
- “I’ll get to that then. Y’all be safe, and boy.” The twins knew, jumping up and giving their dad a hug.
- It was funny watching Arthur lift Ingo and Emmet up in either arm, and hugging them tightly, so tightly you can hear their backs pop.
- “No overworkin’. Either of ya.”
- He looks to you, and you can tell his happy. “It was nice meetin’, I’m glad these two found someone.”
- You three wave him out as he leaves.
- “Why didn’t you two tell me your dad was an absolute sweetheart?”
- Emmet groans, while Ingo sighs.
- “Cause we knew he was going to show you that wallet album, he refuses to get rid of.”
- “It’s the first thing he shows people.”
- “Aw, that’s so cute.”
- You know it’s embarrassing, but it’s cute their dad is still a big part of their lives.
- Even if you did focus on the pictures of when they were little, you still saw the pictures at the end of the album wallet.
- Pictures of the twins in high school, pictures of their gym badges, and pictures of what looked to be a not too old family game night.
- You can only imagine what fun things await for you in the bigger photo album.
- Their dad might not want to embarrass them, but you do.

something i think a lot of people miss because its name is EELektross but the tynamo line is in very large part based on lampreys.
lampreys are incredibly basal (resembling the ancestral form, "primitive") vertebrates- agnathans (non-jawed) are a group of fishes that include the lampreys and the hagfish, which split off from the rest of the fish we know before moving jaws existed. they can give us a good idea of what some of the earliest vertebrates kind of looked like! they have one big sucker mouth, just like eelektrik and eelektross! (all photos via wikipedia unless otherwise mentioned)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
also very of note are the dots down the side of the head on both of these- they're lamprey gill slits! unlike the operculum of most bony fishes or the multiple tall gill slits of the cartilaginous fishes, lamprey gill slits are largely circular.
Tumblr media
now, tynamo i'm a bit split on whether it more closely resembles eel larvae (leptocephalus) or lamprey larvae (ammocoetes).
Tumblr media
(photo via brian mccauley)
Tumblr media
in case you didn't know, fish have larval stages! they're tiny and often weird and transparent looking. both ammoecoetes and leptocephali feed on tiny particles floating through the water (suspension feeding). i think with their white color and transparentish look, tynamo more resemble the leptocephali, but obviously with an ammocoete's jawless always-open mouth.
Tumblr media
not relevant for our lamprey/eel discussion, but this is the larval form of the giant ocean sunfish, aka the mola mola. fucking look at it
also, a note! in addition to lampreys, the line obviously is a play on electric eels.
electric eels............are not eels.
eels are everything within the group anguilliformes. they're a big diverse group of mostly long and snake-looking fishes. this is an african conger, it's one of the prettiest eels in my opinion.
Tumblr media
electric eels, despite the name, are indeed not eels. they're part of the gymnotiformes instead, the south american knife fish. all members of this group use electricty as a sense- they use weak electric fields kind of like an analogue to a bat's echolocation, to navigate and find food. only one genus within this group, Electrophorus, can actually shock stuff. the three species within that genus are the electric eels!
Tumblr media

they're funny looking guys. anyways, uh, pokemon or whatever

if u haven't already been asked. fave mon from each gen! go! or if u have. if u had one chance in the contest to word of god spare a mon from elimination who would it be
Oh hands down I would've pushed Articuno to Round 2, but I completely forgot about Lord Helix, and I DID put them both together with Squirtle, who ended up winning that round, so alas for me, but such is the nature of these things.
And then for each Gen...
Articuno, of course. Special mention: Porygon and Magnemite!
According to the fave Pokemon picker, Delibird, which I always forget isn't actually from Gen 3. Special mention to Natu and Cyndaquil though!
Tropius!! Special mention: Beldum family, Barboach
Piplup has a permanent place in my heart, but Gen 4 has a strong nostalgia pull on me. Special mentions: Rotom, Empoleon,
I love Gen 5 Pokemon a lot period. I know it draws a lot of critique, but it's always worked for me. Picking Oshawott, Rufflet, Joltik, and Archen as my favorites, and Archeops, Braviary, Klink, and Tynamo as my special mentions.
Honedge, special mention: Bergmite
Rowlet! With special mentions: Grubbin, Minior, Pyukumuku
Snom Generation! Of course others include: Applin/Appletun, Sizzlipede, Hisuian Arcanine, Hisuian Samurott
Gen 9 is a bit of a hard call. I'll put it under a read more just in case for spoiler purposes.
I can't say which one is my favorite, but I have designs that really have grown on me, including:
Glimmet/Glimmora, Espathra, Fuecoco/Crocalor/Skeledirge. (Skeledirge has a cute little firebird on the end of its snout...I need to learn more.) Also Fezandipiti looks super cool.

Day 17 - Silly Arguments
Fic if you want to read every posted day : https://archiveofourown.org/works/51386731/chapters/129854215
In normal time, Cameron was not the worried type….
No, he was a totally a liar, As far as he knew, he was always very nervous, nervous about nearly everything he did or would do. The nervousness was always there, and he could never escape it even if he did get better these last few years, especially after he became a depot agent under his two Boss.
He was still not very confident in his own skill as a trainer because of how he was usually feeling, but even so, Emmet and Ingo’s reassurance helped him a lot.
So it was an understatement to say that he was worried sick at the moment about his boss, The reason? He was simply walking to go to the break room when he suddenly jumped at the sudden raise of a familiar voice not that far from him.
He know, he shouldn’t have eavesdrop, but it was rare to hear his boss, nonetheless Emmet of all people, being that loud was abnormal, That was rapidly followed by Ingo’s own voice who was seemingly arguing with Emmet?? the voice was suddenly less loud but.. .
That was worrying to say the least, so against better judgment, he decided to get closer and see what it was all about….he was unable to see the scene, not wanting to go into his boss office uninvited, but he was able to pick up on some of the discussion….
“...How dare you!….You …. wrong….You know that….Bad…..Why….. listen to me!!” That was definitively Emmet talking right now, whatever was the subject the two boss were talking about, that seemed to strongly upset Emmet.
“…..Don’t you see…You….too…...stubborn---” and by the sound of it, the anger was shared too, Cameron never thought that he would be the witness of hearing such a scene and even more between his two boss.
“…..Can’t….believe...you….looks….I am going…..to Leave…..You can’t stop me!!!” there was a sudden noise that the depot agent couldn't describe at all, Are they getting physical with each other now!? no...no that was not the only thing who made him stressed right now, Did he hear it right? Did Emmet say that he was going to leave!! He didn’t stay any longer, he ran immediately into the break room trying to proceed the information and what was going on, He needed to search for more agents to stop their fight first and then convince Emmet to not leave the Gear station!!
____________
“...How dare you!” Emmet put his hand on his table strongly, glaring at his brother with as much seriousness as he could. “Tynamo should be placed in the S-tier of the ranking!! They are adorable, how can you say that they are under Litwick!!”
The two of them were supposed to work on some security change in the subway system, It wasn’t urgent, but they needed to think about it before taking a break …. but they may or may not have accidentally deviated from the track of their work at the mention of a Pokemon he and his brother fought in the morning, From there, things escalated as they started to debate who could be considered the cutest Pokemon, their ranking put on a white board that his older brother decided to place in the middle of their share office.
Most of their choices for the ranking were the same, but when it was the turn to decide the Pokemon that should be the best of the best, the two disagreed strongly, him first, “You want to know why you are wrong!? Well here are all my point, Tynamo are cute, they are strong, and verrry cuddly and you know that!! You have a bad view if you can’t admit it! Why do you not accept the truth like it is, They are perfect, it is nearly like you don’t listen to me!!”
Ingo shook his head, frowning slightly more as he immediately responded, “It is not that I don’t listen to you Emmet, but it is evident Litwick are better, don’t you see how beautiful their lavender flames are? How their small eyes sparkle with the envy of winning a future challenge, You are yourself ignoring the sign of how perfect this Pokemon is!” His older twin did not let him the time to say anything against him before he continued.
“Tynamo is too difficult to find in normal time anyway, any passenger with a minimum of good sense would not go find them, I may also add that there are far from the most safe Pokemon in a station with their electric attack, as well as being too stubborn--”
Emmet can’t stop himself to dramatically gasp at what his brother said “Ingo you did not go there!! I am Emmet and I Can’t said if I am wounded or impressed by the audacity, It’s unbelievable, I don’t believe my ears, did you really say this!”
As he started to walk around his part of the office, he continued to glare at his very smug twin “It looks like you are not giving me a choice, I am going to do what you did to my feeling, pound them” Ingo did not look impressed by what Emmet said, that do not stop him to say his point.
“Litwick do not look great safety wise, they are just verry dangerous candle, They are going to leave a passenger dead if we are not careful”. Without hesitating, Emmet tried to grab the marker of the board to mark that Tynamo had won this argument, And of course, Ingo tried to intercept him before he could do anything “Tynamo are the best, I won, You can’t stop me!!!”
As Emmet was trying to get to the marker, he accidentally tripped on his own feet, falling on the ground before he could catch himself, The two twins stayed silent for a moment as the chaos of before seemed to have stop.
“….Are you okay Emmet?”
“I fell on the ground, but I am fine”
and then they just laugh, laughing at the ridicule of the situation as the older twin helped Emmet to get up on his feet.
“It seemed that we derailed ourselves quite a bit, don’t you think it would be better for us to stop this debate with a tie?”
“It is a satisfying result, yup, I like that, Litwick and Tynamo are both the best, so no more argument”
As they were going to put the two Pokemon at the top of the ranking, the door of the office suddenly opened with a loud noise, revealing most of their depot agent looking in panic.
“Please stop whatever fight you two are having!! That is not worth it if the end result is Emmet departure!!” said loudly Cameron, sounding more than scared.
“Huh?!”
“Pardon?!”
…..Every single Depot agent looked at the twins in silent, then the white board were the ranking was made, then yet again Ingo and Emmet as the two started to feel embarrassed…. Finally, Jackie broke the silence, his face hinted how much he wanted to laugh.
“….Is that a tier list?”

It was another day at the Battle Subway.
Lately, it has been slower than usual. The battle cars were uneventful, even for Emmet, and it got to the point that despite the fact they loved winning, it felt too easy. There hasn't been a real challenge in a long time for either brother, and from what they could see, it was the same for Elesa. Gym challengers haven't exactly been too thrilling to battle lately, though his career of modeling a new line of fashion kept him entertained.
Currently, the two Subway Masters were seated in their shared office. It was a decently sized office and both brothers had their own little section in the room. There was a large desk positioned in front of the back of the wall with a window directly behind it. Since the station was below ground, the window didn't lead above ground, but it allowed the two of them to look into the station to be alert. The window also had soft curtains that could be pulled over the glass for privacy.
A large Galvantula rug was strewn across the middle of the black-and-white-tiled floor, marking the center of the room. Its lays were stretched out like a classic Beartic rug, except it was a Galvantula. No Galvantulas were harmed in the making of this fake rug, of course.
On Ingo's desk, there was a picture of both him, Emmet, a Litwick, and a Tynamo. The four of them were much younger, but there were two older figures in the picture as well, but their faces were hidden. A similar picture was sitting on Emmet's desk nearby. The desk was by the side wall and the picture that was on its surface was of just Emmet and Ingo. They looked to be teenagers instead of the children in Ingo's portrait.
Overall, the office was roomy and rather calm. There was soothing music playing from Emmet's phone that was laying on their desk- they had a phone case that had a pile of Joltiks- and the room wasn't very brightly lit. Bright lights were overstimulating sometimes.
Ingo was working on paperwork about the latest additions to the subway. Chairs and seating for the disabled and physically impaired were added to each faction of the station along with cheap and easy vending machines for anyone who wanted a quick snack or needed some extra sustenance for a disease like Diabetes.
The main addition, however, was the recently built food joint. It wasn't a sit-down restaurant, though the option was available, but was mainly built to be a fast-paced environment for customers in a hurry, just wanted a quick bite to eat, and so on. Their fries were spectacular according to Emmet who had gone to the restaurant already, but they did mention that the owner of the restaurant seemed to pale upon seeing them. It was like the man had seen a ghost! Perhaps that's not too far from the truth. Emmet's clothing was white compared to their brother's darker clothing, but when they asked the man behind the counter if everything was alright, he just smiled and waved it off.
Emmet was also working on something on their computer that was on their lap. They leaned against the back of their chair and seemed incredibly focused on whatever they were looking at.
They were looking up pictures of Joltiks, completely unaware of what was about to occur.
[Emmet and Ingo are available for asks!]

some notes on Pokemon teams for the altered timeline AU!
So, I’ve mentioned that Ingo has his canon PLA team, but they’re all Alphas now, and how the AT!Ingo had a Litwick and an Axew, but I figure he also has an Audino that’s more of a caretaker than it is one of his Pokemon (though it is registered under Ingo’s name). Main timeline Ingo really doesn’t know how to deal with this entirely new Pokemon he never had before, who keeps fussing over him all the time bc all of a sudden its patient is fully healthy and it doesn’t know how to process that.
But also! Akari also gets a full team of Alphas. As a treat. I think they’re all Hisuian Pokemon! She’s out here rocking a team of Kleavor, Basculegion, Wyrdeer, Sneasler (one of Lady Sneasler’s kits!), Overqwill, and an Ursaluna. Meanwhile her altered timeline counterpart only had a Piplup that she got from Professor Rowan.
Emmet still has his fully evolved Galvantula and Eelektross- but because he’s the first gym leader, he only uses a Tynamo and a Joltik against challengers. Yes, he still breeds Joltik. He hands them out to challengers who win against him alongside his badge, in place of a TM. Some things really don’t change.
Elesa still has her Emolga, Zebstrika, and Stunfisk from her canon teams on her new Champion team... but she also has a Zoroark, a Lilligant, and a Samurott. Because they’re all Pokemon that are native to Unova that appear in the Hisui Pokedex. It’s like one big cosmic joke. :)
And since Johanna is also a Champion now... she still has the Kangaskhan, Purrugly and Umbreon that she has in various canon media, but I figure she also has a Torterra, a Vespiquen and a Gardevoir.
(I figure Iris still has her B2/W2 canon team bc why not.)

Chapter 4- Part 1
Tumblr media
So, before anything else- we’re going back to Seacrest’s garden. Julia’s an Electric-type user, and right now we don’t have a lot of good answers to those and I doubt we’ll be getting a Ground-type right now. So, a Grass-type (and maybe an Electric-type of our own, but that’s a whole other thing) is our best bet right now.
What to expect from Julia…well, I joked about her using an Electrode before, but I sincerely do think she’ll have an Electrode on her team. Given she’s a cheerleader and this game has Pokémon up to Gen VII, I’m also expecting her to have Pom-Pom Oricorio as well. I mean- it’s not only Electric-type, it’s a cheerleader bird! That’s like- perfect for a character like Julia! I’ll be surprised (and disappointed) if she doesn’t have Pom-Pom Oricorio, if anything.
Also, again- probably not gonna be able to get a Ground-type right now, but even if I were to have one, I’d expect Julia’s team to have one or two Air Balloon-holders or at least one Pokémon with Levitate (Rotom? A member of the Tynamo line?). Maybe a Pokémon that knows Magnet Rise as well?
Not to mention what the game’s main page said about terrain effects being a prominent thing- I’m expecting there to be a lot of (if not permanent) Electric Terrain. That means an even greater boost to Electric-type attacks and no Sleep. Terrifying! But outside of all that…I don’t know what else I could expect. So, let’s just focus on the type aspect for now and find ourselves a Grass-type.
Tumblr media
Oh, and it’s raining today! If I use Riptide in any battles, that’ll be helpful…or I’ll get blasted if I go up against a Water-type on the opposing side. Weather effects work both ways, folks!
Tumblr media
Now- time to touch some grass again, this time in an advanced way! There’s bound to be at least one species of Grass-type in these patches. I won’t be picky!
Tumblr media
A…Sunkern? I mean- okay, fair enough, it’s definitely a Grass-type. I doubt I’m gonna be getting a Sun Stone anytime soon so no evolving it right now, but its pre-evolution moveset should work for what we need.
Tumblr media
Glare’s at a much higher level than Sunkern here, but one Bite shouldn’t kill it, right?
Tumblr media
I don’t know if I like its health being in the yellow, though- Poké Balls tend to work better the lower a Pokémon’s health, after all. This alone wouldn’t be an issue, but I still only have the one (1) Poké Ball, so if this doesn’t work, then- goodbye, Sunkern encounter. I really should have brought Gullet with, Sleep via Yawn would have worked really well for catching a new Pokémon.
Well, nothing to do now but just throw the Ball and hope for the best.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There we go, success after all! Oh boy, I am- not gonna be buying a new Poké Ball until Xera gets some more money. If we see an event Pokémon, then we can go get one, but until then we’ll just…vibe without Poké Balls.
Tumblr media
Now let’s say hello to Summer the Sunkern, our current best defense against Julia’s Electric-types! As soon as I level him up some more!
Tumblr media
Oh?? What have we here?? Early Bird as an Ability??
For those not in the know- Early Bird is Sunkern’s Hidden Ability. At long last, now I am the one using Pokémon with Hidden Abilities (besides Riptide)!
But before we do some level grinding…I just noticed that there’s this other big building right before the entrance to the main part of Peridot Ward, which I didn’t notice before. Time to head in and see what we can find.
Tumblr media
A Skitty? Hello? Event? Pardon??
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nooo, not the kitty!! D: What’s Xera supposed to do to help? Find an item? Use an item? She’s got Potions and an Oran Berry, but with no prompt to do anything, like- what needs to be done?
Maybe one of these other NPCs will have something to say?
Tumblr media
I can’t even be surprised by this point- I’m sure we’ll fight them once we head north.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ah, Inkay, such a unique little squid thing. I remember back when I was first playing through Pokémon Y, trying to complete the PokéDex, and I was soooo confused on how to evolve Inkay. I was just leveling it up and up, higher and higher, until a friend of mine figured out the “turn the 3DS upside down” thing and told me. It makes sense that a game like Reborn- which is meant to be played on a PC instead of a handheld device- would alter the way Inkay evolves to account for the different hardware.
But the way it’s explained here, it’s…weird. What’s that supposed to mean? “If you startle it while it has the chance to evolve, it will actually go through with it.” Is that supposed to imply Inkay evolves, like…the opposite way Pokémon usually evolve? You know, like- you usually cancel an evolution by pressing the B button (or the desktop equivalent), startling the Pokémon. Does this mean that, in order to evolve Inkay, you need to press the B button, otherwise the evolution won’t go through?
That…actually kinda makes sense, what with Inkay’s whole “topsy-turvy” theming. What better way to adapt that to a desktop Pokémon game by reversing the way evolution works in that way?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
AN ORAN BERRY, YOU SAY?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ohohoho, perfectly willing, old lady! Streak’s Ability isn’t changing any time soon, there’s a good chance he’ll just find another Oran Berry at some point.

Elevated Railways - Ch 11
Ingo has been in Hisui for two years when two children fall from the sky - with wings like his. Did they come from the same place he did?
CW: mentions of eating disorders
Word Count: ~2400
Ingo had retrieved a couple more blankets from the Pearl Camp as he was showing Emmet around the Icelands. He laid them out in his tent now, listening to Emmet ramble in short sentences about his preferences in take-out for dinner. Ingo pulled out a deep pot, setting it on the fire outside and lighting it so that he could make something to eat. He pulled out some meat, vegetables, and some spices and began to cut them up, tossing them into the stew. Emmet sat next to him, chatting about home. He watched Ingo work with a practiced hand.
The sun dipped below the horizon. The fire was their only light, so Ingo tossed out Magnezone, which lit the area with its electricity. “I wish our Pokemon had come through the portal with me,” Emmet lamented. “I am verrry excited for you to see them again. They miss you.”
“What are they like? Our Pokemon. I remember having a partner, vaguely. It was able to wield flames, but they were not orange. They were purple. I have not encountered a Pokemon like that in Hisui.” Ingo stoked the fire, getting the water to boil. He stirred the stew with a spoon.
“That would be your ace, Chandelure. She is a fire/ghost type and she loves following you around. She is verrry gentle. She was your second Pokemon you found.”
“What was the first?”
“We both acquired Klink for our birthday. They are now fully evolved Klinklang. Yours is more mischievous than mine is and always tries to purposefully block doorways for a laugh. They get along well.”
“What others are there?”
“On your team specifically, there is Garbodor, Excadrill, and Crustle. We share Haxorus, she was a present from our Uncle Drayden when we began our first Pokemon journey. He raises dragon-types and gave us an egg. Garbodor was your fourth Pokemon. You found her digging in the trash behind our house. She is a big sweetheart. I call her your trash baby. Excadrill you found as a Drilbur when we were in Chargestone Cave. He is verrry responsible and keeps the others in line. Crustle was your last one. You caught it when we became Depot Agents. He likes to sleep.”
“What about your Pokemon?” The stew was cooking now, steam wafting off of it.
“My team is my ace, Eelektross, Archeops, Galvantula, and Durant. Eelektross was my second as well, I caught it as a Tynamo the same day you got your Litwick. It is verrry cuddly. Archeops I found as a fossil in Chargestone Cave when we were young. I tripped over the rock and broke my lip open. We went and revived him the next week. Galvantula, I bred myself. I was searching for a Joltik with an Adamant nature that could learn Cross-Poison. She is rather spoiled. Durant, I found on our Pokemon journey. It is more independent but likes to take care of the Joltik.”
“Joltik?”
“Electric/bug types. I still breed Joltik, mostly to give to younger trainers. If I deem a young challenger worthy, I will offer up one of my babies. We always have a few in the apartment and on the Subway. I love them verrry much. They are adorable.” Emmet smiled softly. Ingo nodded as he tapped the spoon against the side of the pot before he took out a spoonful and tasted it. It was a little bland. He added some more ground pecha and leppa to it.
“I believe it may be ready to be consumed. Be warned, it is not great. In my time in Hisui, cooking was not one of the skills I excelled at.”
“You were not a great cook in Unova either. I usually cooked.” Emmet scooted closer to the pot as Ingo pulled out two hand-carved bowls, spooning a bit of the concoction into them.
“I hope it is not too bland for your liking, Emmet. I do not recall which flavors you prefer, and was afraid to add spice.”
Emmet spooned some into his mouth. “I love spicy food. You prefer sweet foods.” He continued to eat. “This is not bad. It is not the best meal ever, but it is more edible than things you made back home.”
Ingo huffed in amusement as he took up his own bowl. “It seems I have learned something about cooking, then, in my time here.”
They fell silent as they ate, enjoying the cooling night air and the warm soup in their bellies.
Footsteps approached. Ingo called out, “Rei, Akari, care to join us for some food? It is not like the mochi at the Wallflower, but it is sustenance.”
“Yes please!” Akari bounded out of the woods, her cheek splotched with mud and her hair containing a stick from a tree. Ingo knitted his brows at her.
“Miss Akari, what did you get into?”
“We were in the Mirelands. Alpha Tangrowth. You know how it is,” Rei filled in as the two children sat down and eagerly took some bowls, filling them with the stew.
“It may be a bit bland. I apologize.”
“I’m sure it’s okay, Uncle Ingo!” Akari took a spoonful. “Yeah, it’s not that bad. The vegetables are all a decent texture and the meat seems cooked enough.” Rei nodded as well, his mouth full.
“Why, thank you. It seems my cooking skills have improved in Hisui.” Ingo polished off his bowl, setting it down and sighing to himself as he stretched. Emmet was not far behind him.
“What did you do all day?” Rei asked the adults.
“I took Emmet on a tour of the Highlands and he told me about our homeland. We have an uncle! And we live in a city with trains.” His voice grew softer and filled with longing. “He described trains to me again. Oh, how I wish to see one.”
“Soon, you can! We just have to get about twenty more entries, and Volo said he’d help.”
“What did you do today?” Emmet asked them.
“We went to Cogita’s house first and met up with Volo there. He took us different places around Hisui to try to get us to find these weird rocks.” Rei held one up.
“Plates,” Akari corrected.
“Whatever. Anyway, we found a few of them. He says we just need a couple more? He seems really excited about it, so we said we’d finish helping him in the morning.”
Ingo nodded. He still did not like the merchant, but he did have to admit, he seemed to get along well with the twins. They were also old enough that they could handle themselves, for the most part. “Inform me if you two need anything. Please drive safely out there tomorrow.”
“We will!” they chorused. They set down their bowls.
“Now,” Ingo said as he stood. “How about you two take yourselves and the dishes to the lake to clean up and Emmet and I can set up the preening oil before bed. We must ensure all feathers are properly cared for nightly!”
Akari groaned. Rei stood and gathered their bowls. “Come on, it won’t take that long.” He prodded her with his boot and smirked. “Besides, you stink anyway.”
“Not as bad as you! At least I use something other than rainwater to bathe!” Rei rubbed some mud from his boot onto her arm and ran off, forcing her to give chase. “YOU COME BACK HERE!” she screamed as they scrambled off. Ingo pulled Emmet up, making sure to put out the fire as they entered the tent. Ingo motioned for Emmet to sit as he pulled out his oil and lit the lamps inside his room, illuminating the area. He removed his cap and coat, allowing his wings out yet again. They fluttered to life. He bent over and rummaged through his trunk for some extra clothing for Emmet to wear, as he was still wearing his stiff shirt and tie. He found an extra Pearl Clan tunic.
“Here, Emmet. This will likely be more comfortable than that shirt.” He handed his brother the cloth, along with a fresh set of soft pants. “These are built for rugged terrain, and they conserve heat. I have already cut slits in the back for your wings.” Emmet shrugged off his coat, unbuttoning his shirt and loosening his tie. Ingo busied himself with other things and pulled out a carving, about to ask Emmet about it-
He stared. Every single one of Emmet’s ribs was on full display. Ingo could have counted them. His flesh clung to his skeleton like a form-fitting suit. Emmet did not notice him looking as he shrugged the Pearl Clan tunic on, adjusting it like Ingo had it. He stood and changed pants. His legs were incredibly thin, his skin extremely pale. He looked at Ingo to check and ensure that he had it right when he noticed Ingo staring at him. “Ingo? What is the matter?” He cocked his head, his grin now confused and concerned.
“Emmet.” Ingo closed the difference between them, hugging Emmet around the shoulders. “You are so thin. What happened to you?”
Emmet was quiet in Ingo’s hold.Ingo pulled away, keeping his hands on Emmet’s shoulders. His mouth was still smiling, but his eyes seemed… panicked?
“Whatever it is, you can tell me. I will be by your side,” Ingo encouraged.
Emmet looked away. “Ever since you disappeared, I have lost my desire for fuel. It seemed pointless. So I did not refuel.”
Ingo considered this. It was quiet for a moment. Then he spoke, his voice strong and soft, “I will make you refuel properly again. No more skipping out on pit stops while I’m around, I will ensure it.”
“Ingo-”
“You do not get to argue this one. You will eat regular portions at regular intervals. I will see to it that you are healthy again.” He met Emmet’s eyes. Emmet shut his mouth with a clack, opting to merely nod at Ingo. He smiled softly. Ingo squeezed his shoulders.
“Since when could your eyes glow in the dark?”
“Since I came to Hisui. They came with the wings.” Ingo cocked his head. Open yours wider, I wish to see if yours do, too.” Ingo put a fabric over the lamp and watched Emmet’s eyes. They did, in fact, glow. “Yours do, too. I wonder what caused it.” Emmet shrugged. Ingo took the cloth down and sat right as the children ran in. Akari’s hair was wet. She held two of the bowls and Rei held the two others as she still continued to flick water off her fingers at him.
“Rotten brother! He pushed me in! Now I’m all wet!” She grumbled as she took off her shoes and scarf and handkerchief by the door. Her main outfit did not seem too wet, thankfully, Ingo noted, until she turned around. Her entire back was soaked. Rei continued giggling as he innocently set his bowls by Ingo’s trunk and sat down. Akari thudded to the ground closer to Ingo, scowling. Her wings were dripping, now that he noticed it. They shuddered as she sat. She was cold.
“I believe I may have a change of clothes if you would like to leave these out to dry overnight. I would like to dry your wings, as well. Does that sound alright to you?” Akari nodded, still pouting. Ingo pulled out yet another tunic for her. “I have several of these, do not worry about dirtying it. Me and Emmet can leave the tent if you-”
“It’s ok, just turn around. I won’t be long.” Akari stood and walked behind them, where they could not see her. Ingo heard the rustle of fabric as she changed. Within a minute she was back over by them. “I laid them out on the floor, wet side up. They should be dry by morning. Thanks, Uncle Ingo.”
“Of course, I would hate to see a passenger catch a cold by staying in wet clothes all night. Now, I believe it would be prudent to preen. Akari, would you like me to do yours tonight? They are wet.”
“And you didn’t push me into the lake,” Akari scoffed. “I can do Rei’s.”
“Emmet, do you feel comfortable doing mine yet?” Ingo asked.
“I can try. Tell me if you feel something wrong.”
“Of course.”
They sat in a line, each preening someone else. Ingo gave tips to Emmet when he could tell something was wrong or placed incorrectly. He also kept tabs on Akari’s feathers, being sure to get off any water he could. He kept an extra cloth around to suck up any moisture. Akari had her tongue poking out of her mouth as she did Rei’s wings. Ei preened the underside of his wings, making sure to get as close to his back as he could, as Ingo had taught him. They chatted about their days, Pokemon they had seen, and funny happenings that day. Between the methodic moving of Emmet’s hands on his wings and his own on Akari’s, Ingo was beginning to feel drowsy. His eyes drooped. However, he finished her wings and then moved onto the underside of his own. Once Akari had finished with Rei, Rei offered to do Emmet, who agreed wholeheartedly. Rei readjusted to sit behind Emmet and worked his way through his newer feathers. Ingo made sure to preen his sideburns as well. It was important to check over the health of all his feathers! Emmet copied him, if a bit slower. That was alright. He was still learning, after all!
He found himself beginning to doze off sitting up. He was awoken by a tap on the shoulder. “Ingo. Iiiiingo. Go to sleep.” Ingo opened his bleary eyes and saw Emmet. He just nodded. The kids made their way to the nest first, tossing out their warmer, softer Pokemon to cuddle with as Gliscor emerged, settling on Ingo’s spine again in its favorite spot as he flopped down on his stomach, stretching out his wings to cover the others with him. Akari laid next to him tonight, Emmet on his other side as he drifted off, comfortable and warm.

Submastober Day 06 - Double Trouble
Good day everyone! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ I hope everyone's having a good day/night. We continue on with another day, another little ficlet! I hope you're all enjoying it! When the month is over, I'm going to be neatening these all up, and posting to AO3! So, please, look forward to that!
As a heads-up, they are about eleven or twelve for this!
Title: Double Trouble Word count: 842
Holding firmly onto Kudari's hand, Nobori watched the costumed men as they talked amongst themselves. His younger twin just kicked his legs silently as they sat on the couch, and seemed rather oblivious as to the predicament they were in. He hummed a little tune, looking around the room, other hand on the armrest of the couch.
It was for the best, he thought. Better that Kudari not understand that these men were up to no-good. Even now, he heard them fussing over the fact that they'd been given wrong information. From what he could understand of their hushed arguing, whoever had sent them had not mentioned the most important detail. Apparently, these men had meant to kidnap *the* nephew of the Mayor of Opelucid City for ransom.
It seems that they had not been told they were targeting twins.
"Hey. Misters. I, Kudari, am thirsty." Kudari suddenly chipped out, his speech clipped as it always was when he didn't know who he was speaking to. Their uncle tried to improve how Kudari spoke, but what he didn't seem to understand was that Kudari was perfectly capable of a more flowing style of speech. They talked together for hours, often with Kudari being the one to lead their conversations. When Kudari liked a topic, or the person, he was quite enthusiastic.
Kudari was just shy, and their uncle was a large, physically imposing man. Kudari was not afraid of him, per se, but he was still adjusting to being in their uncle's care. They both were, but this was a new peril they hadn't really experienced before.
In this case, instead of being shy, maybe his twin *did* know what was going on.
But, if he knew, why was he trying to get their attention? The men looked between each other, with furrowed brows, and then one of them ambled over. Kudari stared blankly at the man, still kicking his legs. "I want a drink."
"Yeah? Well, we don't have any drinks." The man said, looking between them. Nobori frowned deeper at him, and tugged Kudari's hand a bit closer to himself. They were being 'nice' now, but for how long?
"Then, cake!" Kudari countered.
"Cake will just make you more thirsty!" The man tugged at his hood, antsy even before he began speaking to Kudari, patience thin in his voice.
"I would also like some cake, please," Nobori piped up, and the man slid his eyes to face him.
"Listen here, kid..." the man began, and Nobori tilted his head to the side. Adults always seemed to respond well when he made a curious expression like that, especially when paired with politeness. "We don't have any drinks. Or cake."
"Well, maybe you could go get some? We're going to be here for a while, right?" The man looked over his shoulder to the others, who mostly looked lost at the suggestion. Turning back to Nobori and Kudari, the man's mouth thinned into a line.
"Yeah!" Kudari chirped in agreement. "I want wacan berry juice!"
"If we get you juice-"
"And cake, please"
"And cake- will you behave while we reach out to your uncle? We want to talk to him, and make sure you get back safe to him." Bargaining seemed to appeal to them, and Nobori nodded once while Kudari bobbed his head in his own eager agreement.
"Fine. We'll get your juice and cake." Straightening himself back up, the man seemed to debate on going himself, or sending one of the others. His gaze shifted between the twins and the other men. But, before he could move away from them, Kudari, who had never let go of Nobori's hand, dug into the pocket on the front of his overalls.
"Wait! I have something good. It will help you!" Pullng out a little plastic card with a tynamo on it, worn from being carried around for years, Kudari held it out to the man. It was a points card from a local convenience store, given to him by their parents when they were younger.
With an unamused expression, the man still took it. "Swannawa? Okay. Whatever." And with that, he turned around, having decided that he would be the one to go.
After that, the men mostly ignored them. That is, they were ignored until the door was kicked in, and people that Nobori recognized as working for their uncle entered. With nowhere to run, the men were easily caught and dragged out of the room.
Hopping up off the couch, Nobori gently tugged his twin to follow. Kudari did, as he always liked to imitate Nobori. But, once his feet hit the ground, he dug into his pocket, pulling out his live caster. Humming once again, he turned it off with a beep.
"Kudari?" Just before the screen had gone dark, he was fairly certain the image shown was their uncle's office.
In response, Kudari just closed his eyes, and smiled brightly to Nobori. "Do you think Uncle Shaga will get us juice and cake? Since those misters lied?"

What can you tell us about the tynamo line.
And Koraidon
And Miraidon
And Slither Wing
And Chi-yu
ESPECIALLY CHI YU
As I mention in my bio, I'm holding off on talking about any of the "super spoilery" Pokemon of SV. So, all Paradox Pokemon and legendaries. I want time for more content to come out, either through DLCs or the anime catching up or something else, before I try tackling them. Besides, the Destruction Quartet actually won't be receiving Bestiary entries, as they fall under the God category and would warrant mythology entries. Which are written very differently. 🧐
With THAT said, Eelektross is a fun one. I actually have a bunch of stuff written up on the "O/M/G clade" (as I call it ;) ) that is pretty fun. I guess I can flesh it out a bit more and schedule those ones next 🤔

You have searched for Subway Boss Emmet & Ingo. What do you know about them? (Heavy topics may come up.)
Public Domain - Semi-Public Information - Confidential Information
Tumblr media
Public Domain :) (Anyone can know, though some require brief research.)
Tumblr media
Emmet and Ingo are the Subway Bosses of the Battle Subway, a battle facility in Nimbasa City, Unova, where they oversee both public transportation operations and they facilitate battles in multiple battle lines, as well as facing challengers after certain conditions are met.
Approximately 5-6 years ago, they appeared out of blue as Depot Agents working at the Gear Station, and were given green light to work on their "Battle Subway" project as the new Subway Bosses.
Subway Boss Ingo conducts the Singles Line for single battles, Subway Boss Emmet conducts Doubles Line for double battles, and they conduct the Multi Line for multi battles together.
There have been many events, mainly birthdays and Halloween where new costumes and many baked goods are to be expected in the celebration. People participating in these events have blog posts online about their experience and how good of a cook /baker both twins are, especially Ingo with his cake/confectionery sculptures.
Nimbasa City is used to their chirpy manners and singing on their way to work and home day and night. The twin brothers are as close as they can get.
Subway Boss Ingo went missing one day, when they were both 24. It is speculated that Subway Boss Emmet was with him and was attacked, since he was admitted to the hospital the day of.
Subway Boss Emmet has a page where people can share tips regarding the disappearance of Ingo, and he posts various updates that can be shared with the public.
However, there are still gossip and controversy, with many news articles on Ingo's disappearance having comment section mentioning the possibility of foul play and how Subway Boss Emmet has been a suspect in the case.
There have been events held to remember Subway Boss Ingo in the Gear Station.
Tumblr media
Semi-Public Information (A friend, someone who was in right place at the right time, may access this information.)
Tumblr media
Verse dependent, subject to change;; The twins had Klink each as their starter, and afterward, they also got a Tynamo for Emmet and Litwick for Ingo, who evolved pretty fast and became their ace.
They are close friends with Gym Leader Elesa.
Emmet has Astraphobia (fear of thunder and lightning) but more importantly, Ombrophobia (fear of rain). The twins stay at the Battle Subway or Emmet takes a day off if he was at home during rainy days. It is a very rare sight to see Emmet when it rains.
Emmet is afraid of ghost pokemon, but he hides it well.
Emmet had a modeling gig before he got a position as a Depot agent, and some of those photographs are still around (Emmet finds the photos embarrassing though they are objectively fine.)
Though they claim only to know the basics of every common language (simple greeting and directions) to help their passengers, both Subway Bosses knew Kalosian and can be heard gossiping in Kalosian.
Subway Boss Emmet has eidetic/photographic memory, where he can recall an image from memory with high precision after seeing it only once.
Subway Boss Emmet is into fashion design and the Subway Boss uniforms were designed by him. He also knits sometimes between the battles, some scarves, gloves, and blankets, which are donated to shelters by him.
Subway Boss Ingo is a food sculptor as a hobbyist, and has worked on or donated many sculptures for charity events/employee birthdays.
Subway Boss Emmet has a big number of Joltiks from his project to get a Galvantula who has Cross-Poison move. Some are his frequent passengers on his shoulders or pockets.
During Pride Month, some passengers were told that Subway Bosses are trans. The twins do not exactly hide it, but do not make this information public either.
Subway Boss Emmet has been drastically getting worse and passengers who are used to his old appearance have trouble recognizing him (sunken eyes, drastic weight loss, more serious despite the signature smile).
Subway Boss Emmet scarcely uses his twin brother's team, however, a pattern can be noticed where he is partnering with every pokemon but Haxorus.
During an event to remember Subway Boss Ingo, Subway Boss Emmet has been publicly arrested as a suspect in the case. This incident was covered up.
There is a theory on online forums that Emmet had orchestrated Ingo's disappearance and they assume and fear the worst. These forums sometimes willingly or through neglect, let planning of attacks on Emmet, especially on the birth date of the Subway Bosses.
It is not possible to find Subway Boss Emmet on his birthday.
There have been photographs shared around in the forums which uncovered Subway Boss Emmet getting into physical fights and getting injured on many occasions.
Tumblr media
Confidential Information (Heavily guarded and some of them would cost higher-up people lose positions if they got out.)
Tumblr media
Emmet and Ingo were the children of a wealthy Unovan family. Privately tutored and sheltered all their life, most family records have been destroyed and their past lives have been thoroughly cleaned. However, though the name cannot be found, admittance to the hospital when Emmet was 11 and the involvement of a hero depot agent saving a little kid who got caught in a Pokemon fire attack can be tied back to Emmet with the right resources.
Emmet has blackmail on many influential families from his teen years where he gathered evidence and material on every family that come into contact with his, and used this to erase their records and forge new identities for Ingo and himself 'legally'.
Their childhood was not a happy one, and they had to run when they were 18, leaving their starter pokemons (Tepig who was Pignite at the time, Emmet's starter & Oshawott/ Dewott at the time, Ingo's starter) behind.
Emmet and Ingo were homeless and crashed in Gear Station after hours or under bridges, for almost two years (age 18-19).
Emmet has a private nightlife, and he has one-night-stands frequently with no ties attached /no names disclosed to keep this information to himself.
Subway Boss Emmet has been tampering with criminal organizations' operations in Unova ever since Ingo had gone missing. This vigilante work is carried with only Haxorus by his side to hide his identity, and Emmet had been injured many times. He refuses to hit back, only plays by the rules of Pokemon battles, and tries to get information on Ingo in these evil teams' files.
Due to these vigilante work, Emmet has a few deep scars, got a spleen injury that needed a surgery, and has compromised immune system and anemia.
Haxorus is crazy powerful with the additional EXP, and Emmet sees him as his ace equally with Eelektross.
Emmet has serious financial problems with the private investigator bills, taking care of Ingo's pokemon, and keeping their home, with only one salary. Many belongings of Emmet has been sold, and he falls behind on paying the rent/bills many times, except for the P.I ones.
Despite the blackmail, the twins' bio family still holds onto the starter pokemons as a bargaining chip, and would be willing to hire the right people to bring Ingo home and deal with Emmet, or if need be, deal with them both. However, their hands are tied for now.
Emmet's phobia of rain and thunder comes from a childhood incident where he was left behind during a trip, and had to fend for himself a full day and night despite the terrible weather (rain and thunder). Rain reminds him of those feelings of abandonment, and is capable of rendering him incapable of moving, as well as causing him panic attacks.

Additionally, I’ve finally given in and bought myself Pokemon Scarlet. I’m three Arenas, one Titan and one Base in so far. It’s been…an experience.
First of all, I went with Sprigatito as my starter. He who shall be nicknamed ‘Merlin’. I quickly added a few temporary members to progress enough to get access to the larger map, and the areas for the Pokémon I actually want for my team this time. My temporary team consisted of:
Merlin the Sprigatito
Apollo the Gastly
Misty the Psyduck
Sire the Wooper
Koi Koi the Magikarp
Fenyx the Fledgling
I obviously stuck with more familiar Pokémon as I knew what I would get out of them. While I did catch everything there was to find in the area as soon as I got access to Pokeballs, the designs of the new Pokemon weren’t interesting enough to stick them on my team. I do plan on switching a few of them in later on but chances are, they still won’t stay on and I’ll just do it for the Dex.
I did some research on which Pokémon were available in the game that I was considering for my team. I usually tend towards Fire and Dragon types. I know in the competitive scene most of my teams would be easily beaten but they can usually go against the trainer AI no problem and that’s enough for me. I was planning on Garchomp, Salamence or Haxorus as my main fighter. I settled on Garchomp and maybe Salamence if I come across a Bagon.
Next I went exploring on the off chance I find the Garchomp I was looking for and whatever else of my preferred partners Id run into. I had a rough idea of where to find my Gible so I made my way to the western region. And I quickly ran into a group of Gible and even a Gabite under a rocky cliff. I challenged the first one I saw and quickly saw I was obviously underleveled for her at 27. But I was stubborn and just kept chucking balls at her and she stayed in the third one. So I got my first actual teammate.
Aster the Garchomp
As luck would have it, not long after I ran into a Riolu soon after and he too became part of the main team. Or rather he was being an aggressive little shit and ran into me. But eh.
Rascal the Riolu joined the team.
And my luck didn’t end there. I met one of the apparently more rarer spawns of the area. An Eevee. And that little girl was ridiculously stubborn. Even on low health & paralyzed, she refused for 15 balls and I was beginning to run low. She finally stayed when I chucked a luxury ball at her. Immediately. She remained nameless for now until I decide what I’m going to evolve her into.
??? the Eevee joined.
Soon after I decided to explore the opposite side of the main town and entered the eastern region. Running around I found a thunderstone which gave me an idea for my next target. A Pokémon that I’ve seen mentioned a lot of times in regards to weaknesses and that I’ve never used in a run but have wanted to try for a while now. It starts as a cute little Tynamo. I turned around after checking it’s availability in Scarlet and the spawn area. But that left me with two hurdles. I can’t swim (yet) and so far half my team refuses to listen and the other half is way to weak. So my next stop would be the arenas to get my team into fighting shape and challenge my first titan. A giant stork that likes throwing boulders.
I made quick work of the Cortondo Bug Type Gym and the Open Sky Titan. A quick trip to the Artazon Gym gave similar results. I did a quick check of the Team Star base there but turned around again. They can wait a bit more but will be my next stop.
I jumped into the southern ocean for my Tynamo. I named the little guy after the first person I remembered having a connection to one.
Welcome to the team, Emmet the Tynamo.
With that I had 4/6 Pokémon down. And for once I decided to take a step back and consider my type coverings. I knew what moves Garchomp and Lucario would get later.
Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Fire Fang and Swords Dance/(maybe I’ll leave Sand Attack)
Aura Sphere, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot and Flash Cannon.
For Elektross I checked out his possible moves. I needed four more types to completely cover all my offenses. I decided on
Thunder Punch, Drain Punch, Coil and Dragon Tail.
For Eevee I decided to do the opposite. I disregard which evolution would for best and went with my favorite. Glaceon with the moves
Ice Beam, Tera Blast, Freeze-Dry and Water Pulse.
And while I was at it, I decided if one specific Pokémon was available, considered the amount of work and time I’d have to invest into it and settled on Milotic. For it I decided on a little quicker route. I transferred over two of my Milotic from Sword over to Scarlet, and let them have their fun during a picnic. I was aiming for a female Feebas and that regrettably took another 10 eggs to happen. But this was already time consuming and I didn’t care. I had already prepared my plan for this little girl to become a Milotic without another trainer to help out and that would also take time so Feebas can train alongside the rest for now. Evolution can wait.
Since she’ll later make a trip to Sinnoh, I thought naming her Coronet was fitting.
That left me with one empty spot.

Hm, a cake would go well with tea, but I don't crave anything sweet right now. Maybe a sandwich? I like sandwiches. But I guess I should try something new there too, so a sandwich I've never had yet? And a drink I'm not familiar yet? Decisions, decisions...
Oh, hey, maybe we could bring something for your brother too then? Like a Pokemon cake he mentioned?
Oh yes! He would enjoy that very much! I wonder if they have any joltik shaped ones.
Would he appreciate eating a joltik? It's just a cake but would it disturb him? Or worse, would it disturb his joltiks? I'm sure they would not appreciate seeing their trainer consuming one of their own. Or any of his pokemon for that matter. Eelektross would not like seeing a Tynamo cake being eaten, i'm sure...
Perhaps I should look for another theme...
