What do you think the fandom for your character would be like? Are they a fan favorite, a love to hate villain, derided for whatever reason, or something else? This is tough; I don't really know how other people see him ! But to me . . . I know that I do not see Tai as being the 'main character' or fan fave in a potential narrative. I know if I were ever going to pitch a show using my OC's, he wouldn't be the main character: not in a bad way, like it's not that I don't think he can carry that role!! It's just that I think his best and most natural position is ... as part of a duo. Or part of a group. I think he's the type of character who may not nessecarily be the fan favorite, but if you took him out of the cast . . . the group would suddenly feel very off. The chemistry would be off, and it feels a lot emptier without him. He contributes a lot to the 'heart' of the group -- perhaps more than anyone realizes, until he's not there, and his absense is suddenly felt very strongly. I think he is a glue or essential member that most people like, but only a rare niche part of the fandom LOVES to the point of like, caring enough to write fic about or make fanworks that focus on him, heh. but those niche people who do obsess over him individually are super cool ; ) bahahah By contrast, what would their haters dislike about your character? Is it a petty complaint? A mischaracterization of the character or their intentions? Hmm... well, the way he experiences love can be very intense. Obsessive. All-consuming. Unhealthy; problematic, sometimes. I know from feedback I've seen & gotten before that some people understandably don't like that... and that's fine ! His personality is the result of trauma that manifested in a variety of ways: some of it unfolded in a positive way, into healthy coping mechanisms, but a lot of it . . . very much did not. But ... I'm not the kind of writer who cares about giving all my characters positive character devolpment that makes them their 'best', healthiest self. Some people say that's romantasizing or 'normalizing' unhealthy attachments, but, idk ... I think it's a 'to each their own' thing. Because for myself, I prefer seeing characters/relationships I can relate to in media, rather than characters/relationships I aspire to be/have? I hope that makes some sense... But tbh, I really wouldn't care if anyone dislikes him, for any reason— whether it's a valid reason or not. ( Excluding racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. Then ur a lil bitch baby. ) But other than that... not every character is for everyone ???? And I mean that both in the sense that you can't possibly expect everyone to like your characters, but also literally: not every character is written for ME to like. There are characters out there that I LOATHE or feel absolutely nothing for: but they reach their intended audiennce: other people in the fandom will feel represented by that same character, and/or that character brings them great comfort/entertainment... so yeah. I truly do not care when someone hates my characters JASJAJ. It doesn't offend or bother me at all; I will simply tip my hat to them and suggest they seek out other characters who do speak to them!! : D

I have no idea what quotes potential shippers would latch onto ( if there's one thing I learned from answering these asks, it's that I actually have no idea what fandoms like & how they perceive things??? ksksksk WHY DID I EVEN REBLOG THIS MEME???????? ) , but to give this an answer, I went through their threads and found many quotes from Lynnie's replies that I love, hehe. THERE'S MANY I COULD PICK, but I think I'll say this one 'cause it summarizes/depicts many things about them that I love &lt;3 “I missed that. This. Us, doing what we do best.” Trouble? Violence? She means being side by side, connected, looking after each other - what was taken away from them when they were apart. “I said something earlier. Something that I know hurt you. I keep on thinking and… I don’t know if it’s you I’m truly mad at. I believe I’m mad at.. This world. This world that rejects us, that rejects the life we’re living in a way we’re never safe to exist together. A life that’s made of This. Of having to run away.” She pauses. It's easy to see how they were drawn to each other and why they make a good team: they have very obvious compatibilities right there on the surface, which anyone with eyes can see asjajj But Quinn also mentions their more private inner world together, which is not necessarily apparent to others: their relationship is not all about how fun it is being rebellious and revolutionary and beating people up together; it's also about them looking after each other. (The 'something' that hurt Tai was her saying he had 'abandoned' her. And that hurt him deeply because... ) Another thing that bonds and glues Taiquinn to each other on a more intimate level is that they became each other's safe place. The safe, warm, loving home that neither of them experienced before they found each other. Both of them grew up in unstable homes without ever feeling safe, without ever feeling truly seen or heard, and without a family they could rely on... and so they did for each other what nobody else did for them. They protect each other. They can trust each other completely. They understand each other. They built the home and family that never had, with each other. So they have these two very strong reasons they are bonded together, and sometimes those two things are even at odds !! For example, they both want to change the world for the better: but it's hard to 'look after each other' when you're always making yourselves targets... 🤔 But despite how complicated that dilemma is, they make it work, because yes their lives are constantly full of chaos and things blowing up and unpredictability... but THEY remain always there for each other: the one stable, reliable, trustworthy, dependable thing you can always count on is that Tai will be there for Quinn and vice versa. IS WHAT I'M SAYING MAKING ANY SENSE IDK I feel like I just rambled a lot, but basically. tl;dr: they are chaos gremlins with a cause, and they love it, and wouldn't have it any other way............ but the one constant, reliable, faithful thing in each others live is their love and trust in one another. and they also wouldn't have that any other way, either. so it's like they get the best of both worlds: the revolution, AND the comfort of each other < 3

All she'd wanted was a few hours to herself. To disappear into shops throughout Towa City, including her favorite bookshop due to the vast selection of both manga and genre fiction as well as the cute cafe that occupied the top floor and didn't mind if patrons brought in books they'd purchased to peruse with their treats and drinks. In casual clothes and no Hope's Peak insignia on her person to speak of, Sonia wasn't the Ultimate Princess or the Princess of Novoselic. Just an avid reader, looking for the next great story to lose herself within.

Not, however, her next great date. Or even a mediocre date, much less an awful one. But she'd found the newest work from a favored thriller writer whose topics generally bordered mystery and horror, with a healthy amount of heavily-researched history thrown in. Sonia had cultivated an interest in him several years prior, when the author himself had come to visit, stay, and tour various areas of Novoselic for inspiration for another book, one she had signed and kept safe in her personal library at home. Unfortunately for her, she'd found a young man from the Reserve Course who had, unfortunately, recognized her and was proceeding to explain his opinion, the right opinion in his view, to a clearly misinformed Princess Sonia of Novoselic.

"And I've read some of his literary cohorts as well," The boy continued, pushing up his silver-rimmed glasses with a satisfied smirk. He certainly was pleased with himself, Sonia thought, in an environment where the Main Course brown uniforms vs. the black Reserve Course version hardly mattered. Something that Sonia hadn't taken for granted nearly enough in trying to divest herself of this boy's fascination. "You really should join me in the cafe upstairs, Nevermind-san. I'd be more than happy to educate you on their works, especially as many of them haven't been translated outside of Japanese. It could be hard for you to interpret after all, but don't worry: I'm happy to explain the plots, themes, motifs, any of it to you so you may be better versed in the subject!"

Sonia chewed the inside of her mouth, an unflattering habit she had when she was particularly nervous or annoyed. In this case, it was a mix of both: she didn't particularly care that this boy knew she'd read works from likely all of the authors he was suggesting, and in the original Japanese to help her learn the language. Exhaling, she began to run through the best possible ideas in her head to make a polite decline and exit until she saw a pair of familiar eyes, followed by a familiar head of blue hair and a hat: Shuichi!

And he was looking right back at her. She'd never been so happy to see her friend, fellow bookworm and, hopefully, a perfect excuse to leave this disastrous encounter behind. Help me! she mouthed to him as discreetly as possible before trying to cut into the young man's...well, mansplaining.

🔥:  I  don’t  really  understand  people  who  get  mad  when  their  mutuals  aren’t  interacting  w/  them  all  the  time  or  right  away.  Like  people  who  curate  their  dashes  to  just  EXCLUSIVELY  be  people  they  actively  write  with  are  valid,  sure,  but  thats  not  me !  I  think  its  okay  to  follow  people  you  don’t  actively  rp  with.  I  don’t  like  to  give  people  a  dead-line  on  when  they  can / should  interact  with  me  before  I  punt  them  from  my  blog.  If  I  follow  someone  back  or  even  just  follow  someone,  sure,  I  have  the  intention  of  interacting  should  the  stars  align,  but  it  doesn’t  have  to  happen  right  away.  I  might  follow  someone  for  months  without  interacting  &  I’m  cool  with  that. 

I  only  soft-block  people  I  know  I’m  never  gonna  write  with  &  thats  more  because  I  don’t  want  them  to  have  their  hopes  set  on  some  sort  of  interaction  that's  never  gonna  happen.  I  honestly  wouldn’t  mind  if  people  just  followed  me  bc  they  liked  what  I  was  up  to  here  &  not  because  they  want  to  interact.  But  yeah. 24) if we were together on a rooftop, what would we be doing?

well. i feel like one of is sitting on the edge of the roof with our feet dangling off of the edge. i feel like there are probably bottles of soda nearby (or empty cans? but also i think that's just rooftop aesthetic. i would have a bottle of soda). there is at least one cat hanging out with us. and also we are throwing rocks at the street below us. possibly accidentally hitting people, but we're not throwing them at people, it's like skipping rocks when you're at a lake, only we're not at a lake, we're on a rooftop throwing rocks.

43) what’s your take on spicy foods?

i love spicy food! but unfortunately have only a mediocre tolerance for spicy. my nose starts running. it's not great. but i love spicy food! as long as it's, you know, actually good! i used to have a really good recipe for habanero butter chicken; that stuff was SO good.

46) favorite holiday film?

while you were sleeping. hands down. this movie is a masterpiece, and i believe everyone should see it at least once. also it is one of the few Christmas/New Years movie combos that's super enjoyable! it is SO good! and also i have a lot of nostalgia because i cannot remember not having seen this movie. the only possible contest is santa clause 2, and that is because baby!bandit basically fell in love with elizabeth mitchell as carol (and probably definitely had a crush on her but, like, that was not a concept i was aware of at the time - like i knew crushes were a thing but not that i could have a crush on her. or any woman, really). carol was an OG blorbo! i literally tried to find the baby doll that scott gives her. it does not exist. probably because disney didn't want to pay rights or whatever to use an actual brand name doll. (i also had and continue to have strong opinions about how they didn't know how to write her once she got to the north pole. but am i also super excited for the clauses disney plus series because i get to see more of carol again? YOU DID NOT ASK BUT THE ANSWER IS YES.)

If Roger could date anyone, who would he date and why?

Let's go off canon. If he could have anyone, he would probably date Rayleigh. The way Rayleigh speaks of him, tells me that the man admired and loved his old captain, their bond deeper than what I think Roger had with Rouge. There could have been something there, who really knows? Personally, I love the RogerxRayleigh ship, so I wouldn't mind to know that there had been something there.

Benn Beckman

What is Benn Beckman's sexual orientation?

He's definitely gay. This man has only eyes for his captain and will always have his back, no matter how much Shanks flirts or screws around with others. Part of me wants him to be bi (bc I have the hots for him XD), but I mostly see him as gay and totally devoted to his captain. You can't win over his heart that easily ;)

What is Haruta's pronounce/gender identity?

They/them. Haruta might be seen as a son and man in the eyes of many, but this little gremlin identifies themselves as non-binary. They still correct their family members about it, pulling pranks on them that are on the boundary to be mean.

Do Thatch have any embarrassing experiences after coming out?

Yes. Most definitely yes. He came out to his closest friends first and they just looked dumbfolded at him and told him they already knew. Poor cook had built up so much courage and they simple told him they didn't give a damn. Cue Thatch sobbing in the corner, while Marco and Izo had to comfort him.

Who did Buggy first confide their sexuality to?

Believe it or not, but Buggy have never actually voiced hissexuality out loud. He never thought that he needed to tell it to anyone, he just went with what he wanted at the moment. Be it a man or woman, he doesn't actually care, as long as they can take care of his itch and he feels attracted to them. This clown doens't need to label himself, others do that for him.

Sengoku

Do Sengoku believe that polyamory could work?

Deep down he hopes so, as his secret dreamisbased on it, but being part of the older generation and having worked in the marines, his point of view is that a romantic relationship is between two people and that's that. He might at som epoint realize that the world isn't black and white when it comesto relationships and sexuality.

Sanji

If Sanji felt confident enough to wear anything he wanted, what would he wear?

I think you hope I would say a dress, but no. If this man could confidently wear anything he wanted, he would still wear his suit and tie. It's just what he feels most comfortable in, though he doesn't mind wearing shorts and a shirt either. The kinomo he wears in Wano is also something he feels comfortable in, though he prefers something that allows him to use his legs freely, without restriction or clothes falling down to his face, when he's on his hands.

Hinata. As everyone knows, Hinata is literal sunshine incarnate. This is the male form of Amaterasu brought to life. While this personality type is not normally my cup of tea, he normally doesn't feel overwhelming. I also have to include the fact he is incredibly beautiful. I'd be lying if I said there weren't times I didn't want to smack him upside the head... but, good luck finding someone I don't want to do that with.

Narumi. I don't know Narumi well. She is a beauty, and she seems to find me interesting, which gives her brownie points. I've yet to want to push her off a building, so that's something.
