Cassandra, short and full of rage: ON YOUR KNEES!
Bela, tall and done with it all: Do I *look* like your girlfriend?
Bonus points for their respective girlfriends being within earshot.
Also:
Daniela, completely unhelpful: Well you *are* both blonde.

I feel like Elena lowkey loves Bela being confident enough to be sassy. Very attractive indeed she will be saving this information for later.
Meanwhile Melony be getting exposed as the sub she is, as if we didn't already know.

Oo you're so smart!! I'll charge my vibe fully and edge with it until it dies (it was dead before so it can't tempt me during my denial lmao). All you horny people who want to tease the creature before his little tdick is all locked up, tonight's your last chance!
Thank you for the suggestion Mel, glad to see you living vicariously through someone who *can* touch his dick >:^)

I routinely manage to screw up various turns-of-phrase.
"Good things happen to those who show up early" is almost opposite the normal phrase of "good things happen to those who wait" 😅

Just saw someone say “There is no ethical consumption under capitalism” but instead of referring to necessities that poor people need, they unironically applied this phrase to fast food restaurants who sell bland and overpriced chicken sandwiches, and have donated to foreign political policies trying to enforce the death penalty on gays.
Like do they even understand what that phrase is used for and meant to support.
Anyways, clearly it’s a very well thought out sentiment of theirs, and I thank them for their thought provoking perspective <3

Summary: You’re a brand new zookeeper at The Halfling Zoo- a place where half-animals live in captivity. Your job is simple- feed them and study them. Your main worry is that one of the more dangerous halflings might kill you.
Unfortunately, that may become the least of your worries.
WARNINGS: none
Previous Part: Chapter Six
Next Part: Chapter Eight
Note: All characters are aged up, since there will be mature themes in future parts.
Also, I can’t promise I’ll finish this. I suck at finishing stories.
—-------------------------------------------------------
You balanced the boxes of donuts in one hand while you pulled open the door to the savannah exhibit open. Then, you slid inside, happily carrying the boxes through the heated exhibit. The heat was already causing beads of sweat to appear on your brow, so you made sure to hurry.
The hyenas were where they were the other day, by the waterfront, chatting animatedly between each other. At least, they were until Ruggie yelled “Hey!” and, in a storm of dust, raced over to meet you.
Ruggie stood in front of you, eyes gleaming, no signs of being afraid of you anymore, “You brought donuts!”
“Yes, I did promise you that I would!” you said with a laugh.
Ruggie wrapped his arms around you and placed his head on your stomach in a strange hug. You couldn’t really hug back with the donuts in your arms, but it made you smile all the same.
“What kind do you want?” you asked, opening the top box. Ruggie snatched up a chocolate frosted donut with rainbow sprinkles and plopped himself down on the dry grass below, chowing down on the donut without leaving time to breathe between bites.
“Slow down, Ruggie, you’re gonna choke,” you laughed, motioning for him to calm down. Ruggie looked up at you with a mouth full of donut and he looked so innocent you couldn’t help but melt a little.
He tried to say something, but it was muffled by the chocolate in his mouth. He seemed to realize you couldn’t understand him, so he chewed, swallowed, and said, “All for me?”
“Nooo, everyone gets a donut,” you laughed, “You are not eating 36 donuts on your own.”
Ruggie pouted and continued to chomp on the rest of his donut. The other hyenas came up and each took their own donut. Once they were all finished, you picked up another chocolate sprinkled donut and handed it to Ruggie, “One for the road, hon.”
“Road? Hon?” Ruggie was confused, tilting his head at you as he tried to understand.
“It’s a phrase and a nickname,” you said, patting Ruggie’s fluffy hair gently, “Don’t worry about it.”
Ruggie leaned into your touch as he scarfed down the new donut. You waved goodbye to the hyenas, who all hesitantly gave you a little wave back, before heading across the savannah to the far end, where the lions laid.
“Hey guys!” you yelled, “Who wants donuts?”
No response. Oh well, you were used to that.
“Hey Leona, which donut would you like?” you asked the king of the savannah.
“I eat meat, not sweets,” he replied coldly.
“Have you ever had one before?” you asked coyly, “Or are you just trying to avoid me?”
Leona’s jaw hardened and, after a moment of glaring at you, he held out one hand with claws extended, “Give me a donut.”
“You have to pick which kind,” you explained, “There’s too many flavors.”
Leona growled, but he allowed you to open the box and show off its contents to him. Leona reached for a powder sugar donut and gasped in surprise when he saw his fingertips, “This donut! Its white covering sticks to your paws!”
You tried not to laugh, “Yeah, powder sugar gets everywhere, but it’s really good.”
Leona raised the donut to his mouth hesitantly. You smiled encouragingly and he tentatively took a bite. His eyes fluttered closed at the sweetness and he let out a pleased hum.
“Still don’t like sweets?” you teased.
“You were right, herbivore,” Leona conceded.
The lion halfling sat up on the rock and called out to the other lions, “Take one donut each! Do not be tempted to take more just because of their sweet flavor.”
“Thanks, Leona” you said, turning the box so the other lions could see. One by one, they each took a donut.
You watched them eat (and Leona lick powdered sugar off of his claws) for a while before you realized the sun was starting to go down. You bid them goodbye, not realizing that Leona’s eyes followed you until you were out of sight, licking his lips both from the powdered sugar and the predatory instincts he felt around you.
You finally left the hot savannah and headed for the wolf exhibit. A little girl came up to you and asked if she could have a donut. “Of course you can!” you said cheerfully, letting her pick from the leftovers.
From his perch not far away, Leona’s eyes narrowed, one thought going through his head until you disappeared into the wolf exhibit. You would make a good mother.
Unaware of Leona’s dark thoughts, you walked through the wolf exhibit. You barely made it a few feet when the wolves popped out from their places behind the trees.
“What do you want with us?” one of the wolves snarled, “You keep returning!”
“I’m a researcher,” you explained calmly, “I have to come back, that’s my job.”
“What’s that you’ve got there?” another wolf demanded to know.
“Donuts!” you said happily, opening up the box and showing it to the halflings. Disgusted, they backed away into the shadows without another word. You sat down on a tree stump, disappointed by their reaction.
“Donuts,” a gruff voice said. You instantly brightened when you realized Jack had stuck around.
“Yes, would you like one?” you asked. He nodded and sat down in the grass next to you, taking a random donut from the box without really looking. His eyes lit up at the flavor and he began devouring it like a man starved.
Pretty soon the both of you decided to split the remaining dozen. You both chowed down and, by the time it was over, you felt like your stomach may burst. Even so, you and Jack smiled at each other.
“Frosting,” Jack said, shyly reaching out his thumb to brush away some crumbs on your lips. He leaned in close and, for a moment, you thought he was about to kiss you. Instead, he nuzzled your cheek affectionately. You wondered if he could feel the heat radiating from it.
Jack placed a gentle kiss on your temple and your face grew even warmer. “I… um… I should probably get going.”
It wasn’t just an excuse- it really was getting dark outside. Jack backed away with a nod and escorted you to the exhibit door. You gave him a pat on the head and he melted into the action, sighing softly at the feeling of your hand on his white hair.
Then, without further ado, you headed on home to write your notes out. A special about lions was playing on TV.
“When a female is in heat, she will mate with a male from any pride, and they will stay together for three or four days. During this time, they will mate every 20–30 minutes, with up to 50 copulations per 24 hours.”
“Jesus Christ,” you muttered, “That’s crazy. I’m glad I’m not a lion.”

Love Thy Neighbor- pt 11
Part 1. Part 2. Part 3. Part 4. Part 5. Part 6. Part 7. Part 8. Part 9. Part 10.
Summary: the aftermath of Jared's... lovely... reappearance in your life.
WC: ~2.4k
Tumblr media
Ellie is all too excited as she eats her breakfast, wiggling with glee, as she tells you about how good she was for your girlfriend during church and how she was so surprised to see her father with you at the coffee shop.
You do your best to remain present with everything that your daughter is saying, but that’s proving to be hard when the ten minutes that Melissa requested for were up and she wasn’t knocking at your door. She was almost never late when she told you she would be to your apartment in a given amount of time. It’s also particularly hard to keep your focus on your daughter when your abdomen is absolutely on fire. You choose your eyes are a particularly bad cramp tears its way through your body, and when you open them Ellie is watching you curiously.
“Are you okay, Momma?”
You nod and smile at her with as much sincerity as you can muster up at this given time. “I’m okay, baby. Just bad cramps. You know how sometimes they like to sneak up on me.”
Your little girl nods in understanding, and you quietly pray that she isn’t also cursed with terrible PMS like you are. “Should I get Miss Mel?”
“It’s okay, hun,” you chuckle. “Momma can handle herself.”
“Cuddles will help?” Ellie suggests.
You roll your eyes at her suggestion. “Of course they will. Ellie girl cuddles always fix everything.”
“I know, Momma!” Your daughter’s eyes light up and she beams at you as though she had just figured out how to make pigs fly. She pulls you to the couch and forces you to recline back before she curls into your hold.
“Oh wait!” she pops back up and heads into the back hallway for a few seconds before you see her coming back out with your heating pad. She hands it to you with a shy smile.
You kiss her head softly, eyes welling with tears at her thoughtful consideration. “Thank you, sweet girl.”
You plug it in and press it to your stomach before she settles herself next to you again.
“I love you, Momma,” she whispers.
“I love you too, little girl,” you tell her. “I will always love you, no matter what. My sweet, strong girl.”
She grins at you toothily. “I know I telled Daddy Mel was my favoritest person in the world… but I think I lied.”
“Oh?” you look down at her.
“It’s you,” she says softly as she snuggles into your side before reaching for the remote and turning on the television.
“You’re my favoritest person in the whole world too, my little love bug,” you promise her with a kiss to her beautifully braided hair (thanks to Melissa).
Only once you’ve relaxed just a bit with the warmth from both the heating pad and your daughter does your body’s fight or flight response quit and you realize just how much it took out of you to confront your ex-husband. After only a few minutes of watching the Disney movie Ellie chose to watch, you end up dozing.
Dozing is a phrase to be used lightly, because when you wake up again, your little girl is no longer in your embrace, the heating pad has been switched out for a hot water bottle, and an entirely different Disney movie plays on your television than the one you had fallen asleep to.
You blearily open your eyes, and you can smell something on the stovetop that can only be a product of your girlfriend. Groaning as you stand and keeping the hot water bottle in your clutch, you make your way to the kitchen where Melissa has Ellie on her hip as she stirs whatever contents are in the pot.
You watch the two of them with soft and loving eyes for a few seconds before pulling out one of the barstools and making your presence known.
The redhead turns around at the sound. “Hey. When I came in you were asleep, and I knew El would be getting hungry soon.”
“I’m helping Mel make chicken noodle soup!” your daughter squeals from your girlfriend’s hip.
“You are,” Melissa kisses Ellie’s cheek before setting her down. “Why don’t you go grab the celery from my apartment, little miss?”
The little girl nods excitedly before racing off.
The woman shakes out her arm and cracks her hip. “I think I need to pull up a chair for her next time… she’s getting a little too big for me to cook and hold her at the same time.”
You chuckle softly at her. “Yeah. She’s growing up before my eyes.”
“How’re you feeling?” the redhead asks as she makes her way over to you.
“Like I’m being stabbed repeatedly in the uterus,” you tell her. “Thank you for the hot water bottle, by the way.”
She frowns. “You felt okay enough to go meet your husband though.”
“Ex-husband,” you correct.
“You still met him,” your girlfriend reminds you.
You sigh. “I did.”
“You lied to me,” she says dully, and you can hear the way that she’s trying to hide her hurt feelings.
“I didn’t lie to you, Mel,” you tell her. “I really don’t feel great.”
“Why didn’t you tell me you decided to respond? That you were meeting with him?” she asks, and you can tell she’s trying to keep her temper at bay.
You bite your lip. “Because I knew you would get all protective, and I can handle myself when it comes to him. Besides, I didn’t think that he would be such an ass… I was kind of hoping he would just hand me a check for the child support he owes me and we would go our separate ways.”
“Did he?”
You huff. “No. I told him that if I didn’t have the money in hand by the end of the month that I would get a lawyer. I was going to storm out when I ran into you two.”
Melissa just nods thoughtfully before Ellie comes running back into your apartment with the requested vegetable in hand. “Thank you, sweetheart,” your girlfriend smiles. “Great job. I think I have it from here because it’s just chopping up the celery and letting everything simmer, so why don’t you go play in your room while I take care of your momma?”
Your daughter beams at the praise and nods before raising her arms. Of course, your girlfriend obliges and lifts her onto her hip. Ellie presses a quick kiss to the redhead’s cheek and squeezes her gently before wiggling to get down again. She then comes to you and carefully winds her arms around you. And then she’s off giggling to herself about whatever make-believe game she was planning on playing.
Melissa chops and dices the celery quietly and deep in thought before throwing it into the pot.
You finally break the tension. “Mel, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you.”
She turns to you at that. She just shrugs. “Whatever.”
“Honey,” you sigh as you shuffle off of the barstool. You stumble slightly.
“Hey,” she catches you quickly. “Take it easy.”
“I’m sorry,” you whisper as you wrap an arm around her waist. “I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to lie to you. I didn’t mean to make you so angry at me that you needed time to yourself to calm down after we got home.”
She takes a deep breath as she guides you back to your chair. “Hun, I’m not gonna lie… I wasn’t pleased to see you out and about, especially with him.”
“I know,” you mumble.
“But I get why you did what you did,” Melissa tells you gently. “And I ain’t mad… not anymore.”
You sigh a breath of relief.
“I told you I needed ten minutes, and that ten turned into twenty while I found the ingredients to make you soup,” she lets you know. “I still came over, I’m still taking care of you because it’s clear you really aren’t feeling well… don’t think I didn’t miss the way you nearly doubled over in pain at the shop.”
You smile at her gently. “I don’t know what I did to deserve you.”
She just rolls her eyes and kisses you softly. Then she tells you, “If you need a lawyer to get the child support, I know a guy. Just let me know, babe.”
The next time Jared messages you, you tell Melissa immediately. You tell her so immediately in fact, that you accidentally interrupt her science lesson with the kids.
“Miss Y/N?” she raises a brow. “I am in the middle of teaching.”
“I know, I know,” you apologize. “But just…” you hand her your phone.
She glances at it before closing her eyes and pinching the bridge of her nose. “We’ll deal with this later, okay?”
You nod. “Sorry. Continue on with your lesson.”
At lunch, you settle down in the staff room while she heats up your lunches.
“So, what are you going to do?”
“I guess take Ellie to the park today?” you shrug. “But come with me?”
She taps at her phone before groaning. “I have a meeting with Tyrone’s parents, but I’ll meet you there after?”
You end up walking down to the park with your daughter as she tells you all about the different things she had done today in first grade.
“I’m so glad you’re loving first grade, baby,” you smile down at her as she swings your hand with hers.
“I do,” she nods seriously. “But I do miss Mrs. Howard.”
“You still see Mrs. Howard all the time when she hangs out with Mel.”
‘Sn’t the same,” Ellie shrugs. And then when the two of you approach the park, she breaks out into the biggest grin at the sight of Jared.
“Daddy!” She drops your hand and runs for him. He lifts her up immediately with that sparkling smiles of his, and you catch up a few seconds later.
“Thanks for letting me have this one, babe,” he smirks at you.
You glare at him. “Don’t call me that.”
“Yeah,” Ellie pipes up. “Only Mel gets to call Momma that now.”
Jared looks to your daughter. “Oh?”
“Well, they are dating,” your daughter shrugs. Then she focuses her attention on the swings. “Push me on the swings?”
He takes her over immediately and gives her a big push on the playground equipment. Ellie giggles with glee the entire time. Then she runs off to go play with a few of the other kids that have made their way to the park after school, and you and your ex-husband find a bench to sit on while you watch her.
“So,” he looks you up and down.
You huff. “Screw off. I’m only doing this for my daughter.”
“Ours,” he corrects.
You fire out, “I’m still waiting for my child support check.”
“About that,” he rubs the back of his neck.
“Jared, I wasn’t kidding when I told you that if I didn’t have the money in hand by the end of the month I would sue your sorry ass.”
He raises his hands in surrender. “Okay, damn. Where was this fire when we were married? It makes you way hotter.”
“Oh, eat my shit.” You turn your attention to where your daughter is running around playing tag. You can tell she’s tiring herself out- at least she’ll sleep well tonight.
You don’t bother to speak to Jared again until Ellie comes running over to you. She immediately climbs into your lap and snuggles up against you.
“Momma, I’m hungry.”
“Okay, baby,” you brush a few of the flyaways away from her face. “We’ll start heading home so Momma can cook dinner then.”
“Can Daddy come?”
As much as you want to tell your little girl that he is not welcome in your new living space, the hopeful look that she’s giving you is too much. “If he wants to come, he can.”
Ellie grins up at you tiredly, and you stand with her in your arms. You start to make the trek back to your apartment complex with as much gusto as you can, but your daughter is getting heavy, and the Midol you took earlier in the day is starting to wear off. The severity of your cramps are getting stronger again, and you have to fight to keep the pain out of your face.
“Here,” Jared says softly. “Let me take her.” He lifts Ellie off of you and continues to carry her the rest of the way to your apartment.
During your walk, you text Melissa that your time at the park got cut short because Ellie was hungry and to just meet you at your apartment- that Jared would be there, and you expect her to play nice.
She of course texts you back that she just got out of her meeting, that she makes no promises, and asks if he handed you the child support money yet. You reply with a thumbs down, and she tells you that she’ll get into contact with her guy on the way home.
You unlock your door and have him set a now sleeping Ellie on the couch before making your way into the kitchen to start dinner. Instinctively, he picks up a knife and helps you to start cutting up the vegetables you’ll need to make dinner.
It takes you back to when the two of you were married and cooking dinner together was considered your sacred time together. You wipe a tear away as you finish cutting up the tomato.
“Hey, are you really in that much pain right now?” Jared asks you, softly… tenderly.
You just nod. He doesn’t need to know that you’re in just as much emotional pain right now as you are in physical pain.
Your ex-husband takes you by the shoulder and guides you to one of the chairs at the table. He grabs the heating pad that you had left on the counter earlier that day and plugs it in before pressing it to your abdomen.
Just as he’s going to pull away, you hear the front door open again. You know it’s Melissa. And as she rounds the corner, Jared kisses you for her to see.

La Cosa Nostra - Pt. 8
Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 / Part 4 / Part 5 / Part 6 / Part 7
Cowritten w/ @janeyseymour
Summary: Sunday dinner brings unexpected news.
WC: 2.8k
Tumblr media
You practically have to pry both your daughters from Barbara and vice versa after breakfast. You promise the twins they'll see her again soon. Your wife promises Barb to do her best to make it before next Sunday.
You're home for much of the afternoon, unaware of the sudden lack of eyes following your every move. At least, for now. You entertain Cat and Rosie, reveling in the extra bit of twin time as you keep them out of the kitchen and thus out of your wife's way.
Sunday morning means church and breakfast with Barb and Gerald. Sunday evening means family dinner at Melissa’s mother’s. A much different affair than it had been when you'd picked the girls up from there earlier in the week. In the middle of the week, it rivals your own house. Relatively quiet aside from your twins and whatever they're getting into.
Tonight, the house is going to have a small handful of people in every room. Mel's large family is a decent portion of it but plenty of the kind of family neither of you are related to at all will be there too. The kind of family only had by the bond of the life you're all in. In reality, it'll probably be barely a fraction of that type of family too. The Schemmentis don't let just anyone in. A type of attitude that didn't begin with your wife, or even her mother.
Since they had to dress up a bit in Sunday best this morning, you compromise with the twins on their evening wear. You send them off to pick what they want to wear to Nonna's, reminding them that you might have to change a piece or two that they pick if it doesn't match. You mentally correct it to be when they don't match. You know they both will pick things from four different kinds of outfits to make into one. Still, it helps when they have some kind of input when you can let them.
You peek over Melissa’s shoulder as the twins are off in their room choosing. She's still busy packing up what you'll be taking over with you that she's made over the afternoon. As if she hasn't made enough to feed your own family three times.
You wrap your arms around her waist, kissing her cheek. “Lemme guess, the extra container is Sammy's branzino.” You mutter as you rest your chin to her shoulder.
“I ain't gonna let him say I ain't paid him. Not in front of Ma.” Melissa grumbles.
You squeeze your arms lightly around her. “His job ain't over yet, anyhow. I told him to be ready to sue the assholes for tearing up Twelve Tables once everything has been cleared.”
Melissa laughs. “Damn right, amore.”
You smile to hear her laugh. Seeing her a bit more at ease today has healed a bit of the stress and wear you've felt. You steal a kiss or two before you let her focus on making sure she's packed everything exactly how she likes.
“No more business talk, huh?” You say as you pull away. Family might be at the house tonight but Sundays are rest days. The one day of the week you don't have to worry like all the rest.
“Cat, you have to take a coat.” You sigh a few minutes later. Her little coat held in your hands as you all stood in the doorway, attempting to leave. You'd managed to get Rosie's on just fine but her sister refuses.
“Mam, the coat doesn't go!”
You look at your wife, a bit pointedly as you know exactly where this sudden phrase has been learned. Notoriously, Melissa is much more concerned with fashion than you are. You dress well, of course. It wouldn't do to be who you are and not dress well. Still, the phrase your daughter is echoing definitely didn't come with you.
“Sweetheart,” Your wife says, looking at your eldest twin. “You have blue in your outfit, don't you?”
Cat looks down, studying her outfit before looking back up to Melissa. “I do!”
“Then your purple coat goes with it. You don't want to be cold, especially when we leave Nonna's do you?
Reluctantly, Cat holds her little arms out to you to put her coat on. You kiss her small head in affection even if she'd been making you exasperated a few moments ago. “Thank you, A storin.” You whisper before taking both her and her sister's hand to walk to the car.
As much time as it took you to get little coats on is at most half the time it takes for them to be removed and dropped at your feet once you've walked into your mother-in-laws.
“No running!” You call after your girls that already aren't listening as they hurry to join their cousins to play. You sigh dramatically as you pluck little coats from the floor before trailing after your wife who has beelined for the kitchen.
You quickly say hello before putting the girls’ coats in the room that's designated theirs when they stay over. You know better than to linger in a Schemmenti kitchen when you haven't been asked to. Especially with more than one generation of Schemmenti women sharing it already.
You say hello and mingle with those who have beat you to the house already. Business and anything close to it doesn't surface at all. It's only talk of family and what everyone's kids are up to or in some cases what trouble they're getting into for the older ones.
It isn't until after dinner that things really settle. The various rooms of the house with small groups chatting quietly. You're sat on one of the couches in the living room, catching up with Kristen Marie when Melissa reappears, claiming the seat next to you. Instantly your arm wraps around her shoulders and your lips press a kiss to her temple.
“Next week it's your turn to do dishes after dinner.” She says to her sister as she leans against your side.
“It should be Mickey's.” Kristen Marie retorts. “I swear when he gets home I'm makin’ him do it every week.”
“Ya, good luck with Ma lettin’ him. You know she'll catch on a lot faster to him doin’ your chores than me doin’ ‘em. Just like when we were kids.”
“That was only ‘cause he was such a tattle tale, you know.”
“Hey, Y/N.”
You look away from the sisters to the figure calling for you. “Hey, Luca.” You greet easily as you look past your wife. “Did you just get here?” Your brow furrows as you realize you hadn't seen him earlier in the night. “You missed dinner.”
“I'm alright.” Luca assures, waving off your worry. “Can I steal ya for a minute?”
You nod, quickly kissing Melissa before you get up. “‘Course ya can.” You say as you follow him toward the kitchen.
You think he's going to fix a plate of the plentiful leftovers while you talk. It isn't unusual for the extended family of Italians to pick your brain about things. Even just for opinion. Melissa tells you it's because you're Irish. You grew up outside of all of this even if you still grew up in the life in your own way. Either way, you've never minded listening or talking things through with any of them.
Instead of stopping in the kitchen though, Luca keeps walking through it and steps into the family room. You trail after him, your brow furrowing. He really wasn't going to eat? That just wasn't normal for anyone in a Schemmenti house.
Once you step through to the family room, you realize you aren't alone. “Uncle Dom,” you greet the older man sat in one of the arm chairs just as easily as you had Luca. “How're you doin’?”
“Good, good, Y/N. I'm sorry to steal ya away from Mel. This'll just take a minute.” Uncle Dominic assures as he shakes your hand.
Luca closes the door that connects the room to the kitchen. Leaving just the three of you in the quiet room. You suddenly don't believe it will only be a minute. Luca remains near the door, his hands crossing at his waist as he stands patiently.
You sit in the other armchair at Uncle Dom's head nodding to it. You don't ask what's going on or what he wanted to speak to you for. You know not to press or hurry. The information is coming.
Uncle Dom sips from his wine glass before setting it back down. “I'll do this quick, like rippin’ a band aid, since you know I like ya, kid.” He says. His hand moves from the glass set down to fiddle with the head of the cane he's needed to start carrying the last two years or so as he's aged. “We're takin’ you off the salon.”
You blink. “I own the salon.” You answer lamely.
“Ya do.” Dom agrees. “But with everythin’ goin’ on right now, it's been decided that it's best if you ain't so…hands on.”
You sit stock still in your chair as you stare back at the older man. You're at a loss for words.
“You're to start actin’ like a…more silent partner from Monday on. Tony’ll take care of the day to day. You worry about your girls.”
You take a deep breath. “I own the salon.” you repeat, slowly leaning forward in your chair. Until your elbows rest against your knees. “And you're tellin’ me to act like Tony does?”
“For now. There's a lot of eyes, kid. It's better if you just stay home, worry about the twins.”
You bite your tongue, hard. You want to argue. You want to fight. Except you know better than to. It won't get you anywhere. This decision comes from higher than you and from more than one person, no doubt.
You push yourself up from the armchair. You don't bother saying anything else to Dom. “Oh, fuck off, Luca.” You mutter when he moves to open the door for you. You throw it open yourself as you storm past him.
You take your spot next to your wife again, as she watches your little girls play with her cousins, and she can immediately feel the tension radiating off of you.
“Mi amore?” She looks to you sharply, your nails just digging into her hip slightly as you take up your position again.
“We need to go, or I’m going to flip my God damn shit,” you whisper into her ear. “I don’t think you want me doing that in front of everybody.”
Melissa gathers the girls, and the four of you attempt an Irish goodbye- running out and leaving without anyone noticing. Somehow, someway, the only person that you run into is Dominic. You glare daggers at him and all but dare him to stop you. He raises his hands in surrender, and the four of you are in your car no sooner.
You absolutely blast the Disney songs through the speaker as you begin to curse in Irish at a rapid fire speed.
“Y/N,” Melissa squeezes your thigh as you drive. “What has you up in arms?”
“I’m going to fuckin’ kill ‘em,” you seethe.
The redhead rolls her eyes. “You couldn’t if you tried.”
“I’m going to,” you hiss. Then you switch to Italian, having run out of cuss words in your own tongue. And finally, you let out a, “Mother fucker!” as you slam your palm on the steering wheel.
Your wife’s brows raise as you continue to curse under your breath. She knows she’ll have to talk to you once she gets the kids to bed- because tonight you are clearly off of parental duties with the attitude you have now. You’re one minor inconvenience away from taking one of her baseball bats to someone’s car, and with the trouble you’re in right now you can’t afford it.
As you pull in, she sets a gentle hand on your upper thigh. “Let me take care of the girls tonight while you simmer on the couch,” she tells you. “Pour yourself a glass of wine, and try not to explode from your rage.”
You kill the engine and storm into the house, not even bothering to help your wife get the girls into the house.
“Mommy?” Rosie asks as you stomp into the house.
“Yes, my little love?” your wife asks as she climbs out of the car.
“Why didn’t Mam get me out?”
“Mam is a little frustrated,” the redhead tells your daughters. “She just needs some time to cool off.”
“Mam is more than a little frustrated,” Cat notes softly. “Mam is really mad.”
“Just let Mam be for now,” your wife tells your girls. “It’s time for the two of you to head to bed anyway.”
“But Mam is home, and I want her to read a bedtime story,” Rosie whines.
“Mommy can read a bedtime story,” Melissa tries to placate as she ushers the girls into the house and up towards their room.
“But Mam reads better!” Cat groans. “You don’t do the funny voices as good!”
Out in the kitchen, you can hear your girls moaning and groaning, and you sigh heavily. If you can’t have control of your business right now... Dom is right- you should focus on your girls. You do end up reading them a story, tucking them in with a few extra kisses for the night, and then you’re out in the kitchen downing at least two glasses worth of scotch.
“Honey,” Melissa wraps her arms around your waist as you throw the last of the liquor down the hatch, loving the way that it burns. “Slow down. You haven’t even told me what’s happening.”
“Dom and Tony are takin’ the business out from underneath me.”
“What?” Melissa asks, sounding as incredulous as you felt when you were first told. “They can't do that! You own it.”
You laugh as you pour yourself another glass. “The fuck they can't. You know as well as I do they can do whatever the hell they want.”
Melissa's hands reach from your waist to your own hands, still trying to get you to slow down. “Amore.”
You put both the glass and bottle down on the kitchen counter a bit harder than necessary. “I have done everything they asked.” You grit through your teeth. “From day one. Even when Bobby was still there. They trusted me more than him at the end of it. And this is what they pay me back with, huh? The hell do they think this is gonna solve? You think the Feds ain't gonna notice I'm all of a sudden not there?”
Melissa sighs at your shoulder, her hands rubbing along your arms to try and calm you. “You know they have some sorta story to feed them if it's asked about already, honey.” She says softly. She isn't trying to give more fuel to your fire, but it is true. You know it is. Nothing is done without being thoroughly thought through.
“Fuck.” You curse once more as you close your eyes. You let your weight lean back into your wife. Her arms wrapping around your waist again. “Is this what we chose?” You ask, your voice much quieter than it has been in the last hour aside from reading to your girls and kissing them goodnight. “We get taught and spout all this shit about family. You're family. You do it for the family. Nothin’ comes over the family. This don't feel like fuckin’ family.”
Melissa doesn't answer you. There isn't a clear cut one. It's a complicated life for even the average person. Add in the mix of mafia and mob and all that comes with them both and complicated is an understatement. Instead she keeps you close to her. One hand letting go of you in order to cap a bottle of scotch to carry as she guides you with the other back to your couch.
You curl in with her on the cushions. Trading the bottle back and forth. The silence of your home cuts only when your mind whirs back to life, and you're ranting your thoughts at her again. In turn, Melissa just pulls you closer to her each time, humming the confirmation of her listening.
Eventually, you end up laying down with Mel on your couch, tangled up together beneath the throw blanket. You raise your head, blinking at your wife for a few moments. You're definitely drunk. Even still, you think she's the most beautiful woman you've seen. “You're family, y’know? The kind everybody in this damn neighborhood wants to keep talkin’ ‘bout. That you do anything for. Nothin’ else above it, all that. It's you and the girls. That's it. The rest of ‘em can get fucked.”

“I got nothing to lose. Stay in the middle. I like you a little”
If pain must come, may it come quickly.
Because I have a life to live, and I need
to live it in the best way possible.
If she has to make a choice, may she
make it now. Then I will either
wait for her or forget her.
You’d died some years ago, one day after your birthday to be specific. You’d left your family, friends and girlfriend with no previous warning, so suddenly that everyone that knew you broke into so many pieces when receiving the news.
Everyone felt so off, so confused. How could you be laughing with everyone just some hours before simply stop existing? Why didn’t you ask for help? How long had you planned the whole thing? How did all of this even work?
It was no surprise to anyone that you weren’t the most healthiest girl, but how did nobody ever notice that you weren’t good that day?
Your parents couldn’t stop blaming themselves, the rest of your family could not stop crying for months after you left, your friends couldn’t deal with school knowing you wouldn’t be there and your girlfriend, she felt so sick. She felt like maybe she should also try, just to be with you. She felt physically weak at your lost.
And if it wasn’t for the letters you left before doing what you did, if it wasn’t for your parents and their love for you, if it wasn’t for your girlfriend and the respect she’d always had for you. She would’ve probably done it.
“Mom, dad. I love you both with my entire heart. Words cannot describe it.
And I’m so sorry I left.
I have one las thing to ask you, please take care of Ellie.
Please be nice with my friends and take care of them like I did.
Please support on Ellie and let her support on you.
Please forgive me. I promise we’ll meet again.
Tons of love, your daughter.”
Those were the last phrases written on the letters you’d left for your parents. You’d planned everything for so long. And yes it sucked that you left but for you it was the best. You died so peacefully and made sure everyone knew.
You made sure everyone would move on.
And so they did.
And so you did.
You were born again. This time it was a pretty normal life, just you and your mom, some friends from school and that was it. But the more you grew up the more things started to get more complicated.
You’d had the most beautiful dreams about a freckled girl whose name was El, she had the most pretty smile you’d ever seen. And those dreams were so continuous, you’d have them every day. There were many pieces left but the general context was there, and honestly you felt like it wasn’t necessary, it all felt just too familiar.
You’d find out that El was actually Ellie, she loved dogs until one bit her and she never ever wanted to get a pet, until you got cats so she begged her dad to get her one. Everyone called you Mel so you just assumed that was your name. And Ellie was definitely your best friend.
But those dreams became nightmares, or at least that’s the feeling you got whenever you woke up. Ellie was always there, but you felt sad, you felt empty and annoyed all the time. And it felt so real.
You’d cry in your sleep and your mom would always come to your room to wake you up, but you never explained to her what was it. You had the feeling you shouldn’t tell her.
And it all made sense the moment you turned eleven. They weren’t dreams or nightmares, just your past life. And it made you feel sick because of everything that had happened.
It wasn’t your only memory, not even your only life. But that’s the one that came first to your mind.
And how could you just ignore it all when it felt incomplete? When you still remembered every detail of it and when you remembered all the promises you made to Ellie but couldn’t accomplish?
You had the same taste as her, same interests too, so your plan was to get to college with her, graduate together and then travel around the world together. Become rich together, have lots of cats and if you’d convince her, make a family.
But the heart is way more powerful than the mind, and it all stayed like that, like a dream some teens in love made one day.
From that age on your life had changed completely. Good grades without trying, thanks to all the previous knowledge, smarter than the rest of your classmates and more mature of course.
You did anything to search for Ellie, to understand why was she so important. Turns out she was the privileged one in this life, or that’s what it looked like since she’d go to the most prestigious schools. Roles this time were kinda inverted, or maybe it was just a coincidence.
There was nothing you could do to find her, at least not at that age. She lived far from you and attended to schools you could never afford.
So the only thing you could do was live your life as a normal person, grow up and find a way to get close to her.
And that’s what you did. You forgot she existed during most college, you were stresses and doing homework or studying all the time. Working on projects, doing exams.
You just didn’t had time to think on anything else. But it was worth it because that allowed you to get your dream job, and eventually your dream life.
“God, baby, I’m gonna miss you so much” your mom opened her arms, waiting for you to hug her. You practically run to her, she smelled so good, and she was always warm, how comfortable, how comforting “you’re sure you don’t want my help with building stuff?” right, you’d just moved to a not so small apartment.
“I promise mom, I’ll find a way to make it work” she kissed your forehead gently, laughing at the lipstick mark left on it “I’ll clean it, don’t worry” you stopped her hands before she’d try to clean it with her saliva “I hope you learn to value your mother once you see how hard it’s to be an adult”
“Oh stop the drama! you know I love you” now you were the one hugging her, tightly as if it was the last time you’d do it “Call me if you need anything, you know time never matters Mhm?” you nodded.
The moment your mom left and you closed the door you took a deep breath, because maybe you should’ve said yes.
There were at least 10 boxes displayed in the whole apartment. You didn’t even know what it was. The bed was already there, so was the couch and a huge tv, what else did you need and why had you bought so many things for the apartment?
“Fuck me”
You had a big body yes, but not strong at all. And yes you were smart, but not enough to understand the fucking instructions that came with everything you had to build for probably the next whole week.
It was late at night already, probably around 10pm, and so far you’d only managed to build your desk. You were currently sitting on the cold wooden floor as you ate some shitty ramen you’d bought thinking it would taste amazing. It didn’t and was stupidly spicy.
Your fingers were moving all over your phone, scrolling trough Pinterest and then trough Instagram and changing the same two apps over and over again until you finished eating.
All your lights were off but the light coming from the outside thanks to the huge windows was more than enough to illuminate the whole place. There was a small balcony right in front of the windows so you went outside, taking advantage of every place of the building since it costs almost too much for what it offers.
So you stay outside, resting your arms on the railing as you kept on scrolling through the same apps, looking for more inspiration for the apartment. Until you realize what you’d have to deal for the rest of your stance there.
A guitar being played coming from the apartment right next to yours. You sigh in annoyance because whoever is playing is not even good at it an you’ll probably have to listen to the same song until they learn how to play it.
“She wanted a band…” Ellie, your girlfriend, your best friend, the girl you broke her heart once, she wanted to become a singer, until you, her best friend, the girl she liked so much, told her how much she sucked at it. So stubbornly she quit and told everyone how it was your fault.
A sigh escaped out of your mouth, was it worth the try? would Ellie even fall for you again? was she even single? was she even your Ellie?
You’re so stupid.
-
The loud buzzing accompanied with a not so relaxing song wakes you up. 8 am in the morning, too early for a day of doing nothing-well, making your apartment look pretty.
You turn off the alarm and stare at the ceiling in pure silence for probably the next ten minutes.
It has been a week since you’d arrived the building. At this point you were already getting used to someone playing the guitar at night, you’d even go outside to hear the progress.
Back to today’s day. It all goes as what has become your new normal. You’d had the most non healthy breakfast and then you’d start to put together a new piece of furniture.
Today it was the last day of it actually, the only thing left was a small shelf that wouldn’t take much time.
And that could only mean one thing, today was the day you had to finally take out all the thrash.
So once you finished you lazily walked trough the whole apartment. Picking and folding boxes, and panicking over the exaggerated amount of plastic that came with the wrapping of all the furniture you’d bought.
You put all together so you didn’t had to go in and out of the building more than once and went outside your apartment, walking towards the elevator and sighing in pure relief because it was thankfully empty.
But things can’t be perfect because the moment you placed everything on the floor to throw them separately in the huge trash containers in front of you, the plastic started to fly away due to the weather.
Fucking unnecessary air.
Before you actually panicked a hand grabbed the huge piece of bubbly plastic, extending her arm back to you “need any help?”
Blessed necessary air.
Maybe your face looked as shocked as you felt because the very gorgeous Ellie standing in front of you tilted her head slightly, probably confused.
“Uhh yeah, thanks” you noticed how she had a tattoo on her right arm, she was wearing a pair of black jeans, some dirty converse and a white tank top under a baby blue plaid shirt-Were you staring too much?
“You just moved in?” she put the plastic under her arms and threw a small plastic bag on one of the containers “Mhm, a week ago” she nodded, awkwardly “I thought I was loud”
“Not at all, well, it’s probably the apartments, they’re kinda sound proof or something” you placed the last box on the container, meeting her eyes. They’re just as pretty as you remember.
“Really? I’ve been hearing this guitar all week at night, I don’t think they’re good if that’s the case” your two walked towards the building again, a small awkward smile forming on her face.
“Yeah…. that’s me, I thought no one could hear me. Sorry”
That changes all, suddenly the guitar is not annoying at all, in fact, you’re waiting for listening to it every night.
“Don’t worry it’s fine just… never mind” and then there was pure silence between the two of you as you walked inside the building.
“I promise I won’t be so loud” she was playing with her fingers “It’s fine, really. Im used to it by now” there were som loosen hair strands covering her face, she was looking down, probably ashamed “It’s the only free time I have to practice, I’ll try to to it earlier”
The elevator opened, she extended her arm so you would go inside first
“Its your house, feel free to do whatever you want, it doesn’t bother me el”
Fuck
“You know my name?” she panicked, maybe it was someone she knew but didn’t remembered?
“Mhm?” Play dumb, it always work
“You said el, did I hear wrong?”
“Yeah, probably” you clicked to the floor where you both lived at, turning your head towards her “Is that your name then?”
“No, actually, it’s Ellie. Ellie Williams” she extended her hand to you, she’s so cute, you thought. You did the same, shaking hands as you told her your name.
“Is it okay if I call you El then?” please say yes “yeah, I don’t mind it”
The moment you got in your apartment you wanted to scream. She was even prettier than what you remembered.
Your head kept on repeating the small conversation you just had with her, over and over again.
You decided to go to her apartment next day. being new in the building has its advantages, like casually gift her some food to maybe apologize for how loud you’d been even though you weren’t, or to thank her for being such a nice neighbor today, or any reason that gives you the chance to see her again.
-
There it is, Ellie’s guitar, at its usual hour.
You had just finished cleaning all the dishes you used for dinner. Fucking adult life. And were laying on the couch, scrolling trough social media.
Until you hear her of course.
Discretely you stood up from the couch, walking with your bare foot to the big cristal door that leaded to the balcony and getting outside, just like you did when you just arrived.
Hands resting on the cold railing, head resting on your wrists and Ellie’s guitar playing right next to you. This time one of the windows were open, she’d done it on purpose, didn’t she felt ashamed for being so loud- or maybe you’re exaggerating every interaction with her and overthinking everything that’s related to her.
-
The doorbell rings three times. 10 am. Too early.
A loud groan escapes from her mouth and she covers herself with her gray hoodie. She freezes the moment she steps out of bed because there’s only a pair of sorts covering her legs. Who the fuck is looking for her?
Maybe it was a bad idea to stay later at night playing the guitar for the pretty girl living next to her. She’s freezing, sleepy and exaggerated tired.
Or maybe it wasn’t such a bad idea.
“Oh…. did I wake you up? I’m so sorry” because there you are, standing right outside her door “Do I look so bad?” she chuckled, rubbing her eyes “I’m really sorry I just…. I wanted to thank you for yesterday and also apologize in case I was loud”
You extended your hand to her, giving her a small plastic bag with some food in it “I’m going out later, sorry for being here so early-“ she took the bag from your hands, finally looking back at you “it’s fine, you didn’t had to, really”
Would it be okay If she asked for your number? Would it be okay if you asked for her number?
“I was wondering If I could get your number too? just in case…”
You weren’t even finishing your sentence when she was already grabbing her phone
Maybe it was gonna be easier than you thought.
-
Week 7 of living here. It was indeed easier than you thought.
However there still was this thing bothering you. What should you actually do?
Yes you’ve met her casually and yes the bond with her was forming naturally. But what’s with your past life thoughts?
Because those “dreams” and “nightmares” had came back. And it was painful, because you regretted the decision you’ve made, almost every day. And it felt wrong to feel guilt, but how could you not?
And all these thoughts were eating you alive because what if you loose her again, what if she looses you again? Could you maybe talk with her about this? Or maybe-
“You good?” a cup of tea is placed in front of you. she sits right next to you, placing her legs on top of the chair. you nod.
“You zone out a lot” her lips curve upwards, making her dorky smirk appear. you smile back “There’s always thoughts on my mind, sorry”
“I wanted to ask you something…. don’t laugh alright?” “Don’t act so shy then” she rolled her eyes
You took a sip from the tea she had just made, staring at her face and trying to read the expression on it. She wouldn’t say anything.
“You can totally say no and I’ll act like nothing happened but uhm… would you maybe like to…. I don’t know, go out or something?
“As in a date or as in friends?” of course you knew what she meant, you couldn’t confusing the laughter “Yeah el, I’d like to go out with you” she smiled, moving her hands around her neck. She was probably burning inside from the shame.
“Is this how you always act around girls?”
“I always get asked first”
“Oh sorry miss hot, sorry for wanting to be asked first too”
“So you wanted to…. Why didn’t you ask?”
Her hands practically slapped her face, she’s so dramatic.
“I don’t understand how didn’t notice. I couldn’t stop looking at your tattoo when we met”
“I just thought you liked it”
“I also stared at your lips”
Silence. Just the sound of you sipping the tea, purposely loud.
“Stop it”
-
The date had basically been going out to every place near the building.
Walking trough a small park as you ate ice cream, shopping together at many thrifting stores and finding out you’re both so different yet with the same taste.
Both changing the conversation topic whenever a cute dog or cat passed by. Talking about pets, she sharing with you how she feared dogs when she was younger because one day a dog bit her, you feeling your heart almost exploding because it reminded you of the old Ellie.
Lots of small fights over who’d pay for the food and eventually letting her pay for you. Ellie wanting to hold you but being to shy to do it until you decided to grab her hands and then she wouldn’t let you go.
“Tell me more about your childhood, how was it to be born rich?” hopefully it wasn’t as depressing as you’d experienced it on your past life.
You were holding hands, walking back to your apartment. It was night already, not too late though.
“Great actually, I didn’t had to put much effort growing up. School was a pain in the ass thought, my parents would pay me classes to study after school and when they knew what I wanted to study in college they almost fainted, they practically told me I wasn’t that smart” a chuckle came out of her mouth “But they were always there for me. I didn’t have many friends though, I’ve always been very shy and introverted. What about you?”
You were too focused on how pretty she looked. She noticed and just smiled at you.
Was it the right time to kiss you?
“My life’s normal, I only have my mom and I’ve never connected with people so I just had some school friends growing up, nothing too deep. I was smarter than the rest of my class so I could skip some school years”
“I thought you were my age” her lips pouted in confusion “so you asked me out without being sure of my age? What if I’m five years younger than you?”
“You were the one to accept” she let go of your hand, holding her arms on the air acting innocence “I’m just two years younger, don’t worry you’re not doing anything ilegal”
Your arm extended, holding her hand again. Both of you gettin inside the building and then walking to the elevator.
Maybe now it was the right time to kiss you?
Her lips pressed on yours. Both of you closed your eyes, you could feel the grip on your hand tightening softly.
Your bodies felt like they were made for each other. The way her hands were the perfect size for yours, the way her fingers intertwined with yours, the way her mouth touched yours so delicately and so perfect.
The way your hands were the perfect size to fit on the back of her neck. The way her hands were the perfect size to fit your cheeks. The way your noses touched trough the kiss.
How beautifully your hearts had the same beat. How your breathing was as steady as hers.
It was a weird feeling that both or your bodies experienced as soon as you kissed. So familiar, so warm, so comforting. A deep form of love that could be experienced all over the body. A love that felt so safe and addictive.
And you two were craving for more.
Ding
The elevator opened, making the both of you break the kiss, which didn’t even last much, but it felt eternal, it felt like the right thing on the right moment.
The way your bodies and faces changed after it spoke more than words could ever. She couldn’t stop staring at you, and you weren’t precisely trying to avoid her so you did the same.
The dizziness that the elevator itself cause on the body combined with the way you two felt was almost too much to take. It felt so overwhelming, and finally it was in a good way for your body.
To you it just felt like peace, like you’ve done the right thing. No more regret or remorse, no more fear or anxiety.
To her it felt like this was meant to happen, like a deja vu that came out of nowhere but was meant to appear. Like if this had a deeper meaning behind it and she had to discover what it was. Like all of this had a deeper purpose for her and her life.
Soulmates, she thought. But it couldn’t be, she didn’t believe in that.
Ding
The elevator opened again
“Do you mind staying with me?” you finally stop holding hands with her, just to look for your keys. But before you could get your hand in the pocket of your jeans she stopped you “Stay at mine, I wanna show you something” a dumb smile appeared on your face.
It wasn’t the first time you’d go to her apartment but you’ve never seen it properly, you’ve never been there at night either.
-
You had arrive to the building probably about three hours ago. It was currently 12 am, Friday.
You were on her balcony as she played the guitar. She only knew a couple of songs and wanted to show to you how she didn’t suck as much as you thought she did.
And you gladly accepted. You had the perfect view of her tattoo on full display as she played the guitar, you could hear her pretty voice as she sang and the light coming from the other buildings was just perfect.
Ellie on the other hand, she could see your pretty eyes shining at her sight, she could see the way your hair fit you just perfectly on your body. How there’s some strings of hair tucked behind your ears. How pretty you smile is as she sings.
And it might be exaggerated but she feels like you’re the one. Like you didn’t just move to this building for no reason, like she didn’t decided to take the trash out that day so randomly for no reason, like you didn’t just appeared in her life for no reason.
You couldn’t just be a small romance on her life and then leave. This couldn’t be temporary.
You made her feel so familiar, like she had known you for years. She decided to believe in destiny, she believed that maybe you two were just meant to find each other, like this was meant to be. And you were just fine with it.
“Do you believe in soulmates?” your voice came out low, almost like a whisper. Her head moved towards you, she hummed thinking about her answer “Or…. reincarnation”
That word made her feel shivers all over her body. An image showed on her head for just the blink of an eye, almost too fast to even notice.
She was laying on the bed with someone else besides her, same question being asked. It changed her response.
“Maybe” unconsciously she but her bottom lip, just staring at you “do you?” she saw you nod. Your eyes were looking straight to hers, and for the first time on her life she didn’t felt like looking away. She felt unexplainably comfortable with you.
“Don’t mind me being so weird but…. I already know you” she just laughed “I’m sure we’ve met before, somewhere else at a different time”
“Maybe it wasn’t the right place, or the right moment” so she agreed? “I feel the same but I don’t think I’ve seen you before though” would it be okay if you tell her the truth? Would she believe it?
“Why you think that is?” and unconscious sigh escaped your mouth “What?” “Everything” she chuckled, lowering the guitar to the floor.
“Maybe destiny wanted something different, but love always wins right?” no, it doesn’t “And maybe we ate too much and it’s too late so we’re wandering” she stood up, white socks stepping on the floor as she walked inside. She stood on the frame of the door, waiting for you to get in.
“Wanna watch a movie?” She closed the door and placed her guitar on a wall, her place somehow was so tidy.
It had a lot of things though, a bunch of furniture filled with comics, books and vinyls. Some figures that looked pretty expensive. You only recognized the spider man one.
She had a console near the huge tv placed in her living room, and a bunch of pillows alongside a small blanket on the couch.
“Why do you have so many pillows in here?” she was already turning the tv on, laying on the couch and patting besides her so you would sit there. And so you did.
“I take a lot of naps in here during the day and fall asleep after working, I don’t realize I’m sleepy until I can’t even stand up so I decided to bring this here”
How could she be so lazy? and why was it so hot of her to be lazy?
“So you take naps while you should be working?” she nodded “I’m guessing you’ve been doing it for years now, I can’t believe you still have the job”
She just shrugged, casually opening her arms along the couch. And who in this earth would deny to cuddling with her?
None of you realized but eventually both just felt asleep, hugging each other, embraced by the warm blanket she’d covered you both before playing the movie.
