Alana: Clear-headed; she's definitely someone you want at your side when things start to panic. My anxiety gets in the way, she's much more poised. Not to say she doesn't get nervous - she does - but she's still better at taking charge of that and diffusing things, I feel.
Bethany Josnel: Self-assured; at least in the sense that he knows what he wants and isn't one to allow himself to be pressured. I think he's good with his boundaries, is what it is. I am not lmao.
Hiyam: Confidence! Hiyam's is at a level that one might dismiss as delusional but it's just a matter of strength of will and being unbothered. Two things I do not have lmao. I can be pretty stubborn thho. Maybe i can fake it til I make it ... one day.
Lala; there is SO many. Um, let's say Understanding. I feel Lala is pretty insightful and also open. I try to be. They're so -- I think it's because they have a 'come as you are approach' but also know their own value.
Ori: Cheerful; He is so naturally cheery and kind and even-tempered. I am good at faking some these things lmao. To varying degrees. He's just so sweet, like a golden retriever puppy. While I am more like a cross of an old poodle and a nervous chihuahua.

Seeing Guo Changcheng falling, the person who'd spoken up made a hurried attempt to catch him. He was a man with a lean build who, even at the height of summer, was wearing a long-sleeved shirt. He looked clean cut and gentle with rimless glasses that contributed to an elegant, intellectual air. He'd been holding his lesson planner but had dropped it when he reached for Guo Changcheng.
"Are you all right, Tongxue?"
Thankfully, having only fallen from the second floor, Guo Changcheng was fine, if a bit shaken. Panicked, he turned to look at the windowsill he'd fallen from, only to find it completely empty. It was as if the skeleton hanging outside the window and the black-cloaked figure in its eyes were figments of his imagination.

Oh sure, saving the world and killing a god was fun and all - but Odessa is so family oriented even as a kid that bringing Darora to her loving village made her the happiest kid in the world. And hey, can you blame her - her mama and papa ended up getting together and she’s got a lil sister and is part of a loving soft family!

I saw a post mentioning Ahsoka was originally assigned to Obi-Wan and I’m like ??? Like, yes Obi-Wan asked for a new padawan but the first thing Ahsoka says as she arrives is that she was assigned to Anakin
Edit: if you don’t want to read the tags: I rewatched the scenes from the movies and it’s said several times she was assigned to Anakin by Yoda himself and at the end it’s implied Obi-Wan helped. She was never assigned to Obi-Wan.
#I can't claim that it wasn't a mistake from the order (I think that's what Obi-Wan or Anakin say at one point#but I can't recall if they did)#and there are at least two other possible interpretations that are:#that Obi-Wan says he asked for a padawan but it was a ruse to assign one to Anakin#or that even if Obi-Wan asked for a padawan Yoda assigned her to Anakin anyways#And I think that the movie says something like Obi-Wan will take over her training once Anakin decides he doesn't want a padawan#before he changes his mind and takes her#like I get it you like the Obi-Wan & Ahsoka dynamics#You like to think they were actually much closer than what we see in canon#or you don't like Anakin as a character and so you push him aside at any chance you get#but going from that to affirm she was originally assigned to Obi-Wan hun I think you're projecting your hc#REWATCHED THE SCENE JUST NOW#And Anakin is the one that says it must have been a mistake because he didn't want a padawan#Ahsoka insists Yoda assigned her to ANAKIN#(also Obi-Wan has been pestering Anakin about becoming a teacher)#AND THEN after Anakin accepts Ahsoka and they meet with Obi-Wan and Yoda#Yoda says that Obi-Wan was telling him about Anakin having trouble with his new padawan#So yup I think we can discard the mistake option from above#Yoda assigned her to Anakin and Anakin only#and suggested reassigning her to Obi-Wan when he heard that Anakin was hesitating#And after that is all said and done Obi-Wan teases Anakin about teaching her (Teach her everything I taught you)#And Anakin says something makes me think this was YOUR idea from the start#so the scene implies Obi-Wan requested the padawan for Anakin but it's never confirmed#so yeah she was never assigned to Obi-Wan to begin with#play with your aus all you want but don't sell it as if it were actually canon#fandom salt#personal

10. What about their hobbies?
What aren't Kendis hobbies? Kendis loves trying out new things -- I usually have their newest hobby as pottery,so I'll go with that here.
Their go-to is usually shopping, hiking, and partying (both attendin and throwing. Can event planning be a hobby?) She also loves learning new receipes -- cooking AND baking, but they lean toward the latter. Organizing is probably another one ...
15. Would they have reacted to Falk's flirting, if given the opportunity?

Ahhh, maybe. It really depends on the defintion of react. I think eventually, they might have flirted back. I think once they felt he was sincere (and clearly they started feeling as such since she and Falk left in good terms) about creeping into their apartment and hurting Nate (as Kendis is both big on boundaries and super protective).
I'm not sure where it would go. I feel probably just remain a charged Something. For various reasons.
20. Can they cook/bake? Do they enjoy it?
Not me getting ahead of myself. Yes and yes. And very much so.
23. How are they with children?

I want to say amazing, but that's my bias. But pretty dang good. Kendis loves kids. She has a huge soft spot for them. Probably the hugest of her soft spots. They strike a balance of seeing kids as small people who are learning the world and how to self-regulate vs being overprotective. She also still enjoys some "kids" stuff. Like kicking back and trying all the ice cream flavors or building pillow forts, etc. And that tends to endear her to most kids.
26. If given the choice, would they become a vampire?

I feel like there had to be some major mental and emotional recalibration in Shen Wei's universe after he met Zhao Yunlan.
After all, the one he's been waiting ten thousand years to meet is Kunlun -- the great hero who saved Shen Wei's life and brokered peace between warring civilizations, the kind stranger who reached out to the frightened youth hiding behind the mask of cold warrior, the philosopher who gave Shen Wei his name and taught him to live up to it, and very likely the first person since the loss of Shen Wei's own family to show him any sincere affection. The real Kunlun was already on something of a pedestal before Zhao Yunlan assumed his identity, and Shen Wei has elevated him so much higher and obsessed over what Kunlun meant to him personally for ten millennia since. The only worthy reappearance of a man he (and others) venerated so highly would have to be accompanied by blinding sunbeams and golden trumpets to live up to their expectations.
And then Shen Wei stumbles into professional irritant Zhao Yunlan, a man who wears Kunlun's face but specializes in being as obnoxious as possible, who can't be bothered to remove expired food from his refrigerator and leaves his dirty laundry all over the floor, who insinuates himself into situations where he doesn't belong and pries at the edges of Shen Wei's secrets without mercy -- in short, the opposite of everything Shen Wei has built Kunlun up to be in his idealized memories and hopes of reunion.
There had to be a moment where Shen Wei faced this disparity head-on in an attempt to reconcile his long-awaited hero with this persistent, self-destructive SID investigator who keeps showing up everywhere to annoy him... and it might have ended in a minor meltdown.
I'm sure there's a plot bunny here somewhere, if only I can capture it...
#guardian#zhen hun#c-drama#shen wei#I feel like novel!Shen Wei is a lot more stable (despite being a creature born of pure chaos) because he engineered the situation#they're in and understands what's going on#and also he's lived in the human world for thousands of years and watched kunlun's reincarnations for all that time#whereas drama!Shen Wei has only been mingling with humanity for a decade and doesn't know about the whole wormhole situation#so ZYL's appearance must come as a real shock to him#because even though he believed in kunlun's promise to meet again he probably didn't expect that kunlun wouldn't know him#so many ideas to explore!#there is actually a story I want to write about this but i'm swamped from now thru late january so i don't know when i'll have time#I've made two whole sentences worth of notes in a document and that's all i have time for today
