ren always makes breakfast every single day and pre-prepped meals for the days he’s at work for kyosuke for lunch and dinner (if he’s gone at lunch, usually he’s still around before work) — he’s a single mom that works too hard, that loves his kids and never stops —

ren is everything to me, i haven’t stopped writing for/about and talking about him, as well as plans to speed the manga along are going better now that our year is stabilizing out. the pilot will be in color because it was originally going to be on webtoons but now it’s going to be likely hosted at our own site so it’ll be black and white manga style from there on out

FALLOUT 4 WHAT MAKES REN S.P.E.C.I.A.L. ??
point distribution varies by game, so here are ren’s “special” stats as according to the limitations set by fallout 4′s beginning mechanics:
FO4 BASE STATES (NON-SOLE SURVIVOR): 28 BEGINNING DISTRIBUTION POINTS AT START OF GAME // * these are ren’s base stats as basically an npc or companion, depending on threads.
STRENGTH - 3
PERCEPTION - 5
ENDURANCE - 4
CHARISMA - 6
INTELLIGENCE - 5
AGILITY - 4
LUCK - 1
PERKS: lady killer, cap collector, party boy, medic, mister sandman - these are the perks ren starts off with as a companion
FO4 SOLE SURVIVOR BASE STATS: 28 BEGINNING DISTRIBUTION POINTS AT START OF GAME // * these are ren’s base stats are the beginning of the game / emerging from vault 111. as the storyline progresses, ren would “put” his stats primarily into “perception, charisma, and intelligence.”
he would naturally gain points in strength and agility, but it is not a primary focus for him. this simply comes from stamina built up from exploring (and fighting) his way through the commonwealth post-war.
endurance is naturally higher because ren, as character, has high endurance (this, for ren, includes emotional endurance, not just physical).
i have also listed the perks ren would likely get along the way, if not start with.
+ 1 AQUIRED for a total of 29 POINTS from the YOU’RE SPECIAL book beneath kyosuke’s crib ( ie shaun )
STRENGTH - 3
PERCEPTION - 5
ENDURANCE - 4
CHARISMA - 6
INTELLIGENCE - 6
AGILITY - 4
LUCK - 1
ren allocated his extra point to intelligence!
PERKS: lady killer, cap collector, party boy, lone wanderer, medic, mister sandman, fortune finder, local leader, and others like this as he develops his SPECIAL skills.

goro is also an equal opportunist — given that he takes all sorts of faces and identities, he isn’t prejudiced in the ways humans can be.
he makes deals with anyone and everyone, status doesn’t matter, nothing about “what” they are tends to matter, it’s about “who” they are. deals can be made with a poor man that are just as beneficial as with a rich man. skin color, preferences, where you’re from, what you look like? doesn’t matter. what deal are you making?

the thing with deng is that he's totally chaotic. he does everything that man requires of him (and more! gladly more), but he also does what he wants within the perimeters of what that man wants. deng enjoys doing "bad things" to surmise, but that doesn't mean he stands idle to certain injustices. that man has a very specific code when it comes to children: they're not involved, or if someone that's involved with goro has a child, the child is looked after to have as many little negative consequences as possible (it's unfortunate when a parent dies, so usually goro will take "custody"). also, with children specifically, there's an idea that save a child now? they'll be indebted to you for life when they're ready to make a deal or "play" with goro. they'll view him as the good guy. deng will stop cruelty to children when he sees it, no question. he enjoys violence, but things like domestic violence are also off the table. he'll intervene, though he doesn't want thanks — he wants the thrill of the kill.

see goro will adopt children because children as they are? not good players for what he does. he typically leaves children be. they’re not good at making deals or decisions with permanence in mind. this is why he avoids children (generally) or tends to leave them relatively unscathed. forming a bond early makes goro look like “the good guy” — it forms trust. when they’re old enough, they’ll seek him out because they know he’ll “help them” like he used to / once did. this is why deng and ji-hun will “resolve” problems that involve children (typically abuse). they also don’t mess with kids — why would they? they’ll lead them back to goro, but again — it builds a foundation that that man is good. this doesn’t make goro, deng, or ji-hun good or redeemable — it’s just sowing seeds. taking care of problems. setting up new stories.
as for the children goro adopts? separate from the ones he creates of himself (unnatural) and the ones he makes (natural). these adopted children are generally unwanted or unseen by society — orphans, bad situations, parents made raw or bad deals, etc — they usually grow up in a new life, very privileged, but still under oath of that man. they have some semblance of free will, but he decides a lot for them. they’re always housed, somehow he always has time for them. sometimes they’re left in the care of another. ji-hun will occasionally play babysitter if he has to, but not often — not unless the child is “chosen”, thus needing an attendant like ji-hun.
this is not altruistic by any means. this is planned and formulated.
