*We did change this so we could have time to talk to and plan these injuries.
can i request a lil something where best friend jim mason confesses his feelings for you? 🥺🥺
Hey anon, thanks for your request. I love the idea and I knew I had to write it. And I appreciate the request I get. And I appreciate all the reactions I get for my fanfics. I hope everyone will enjoy this fanfic. And I hope I do a good job.
Love
Jim Mason x reader
Summary: Jim tells the reader how he feels about the reader. Also Jim doesn’t die. And also he is on his sobriety when they get together.
Warning: kissing and spelling mistakes. And mention of drug addiction. Let me know if I miss anything.
Jim pov
Me and my best friend y/n have known each other since we were kids. I am so thankful that I have her and my twin sister Medina. But my feelings for y/n has changed to feelings of wanting to be with her in a romantic relationship.
All I want is to hold her and kiss her. I love her in a more than friends way. But I don’t even know if she feels the same. Maybe she does, what I do know is that my heart beats so fast when we’re together.
I feel like my heart can burst out of my chest, also that I can’t keep this feelings all inside. Maybe I should tell her that I want to be more then just best friends.
Y/n pov
I am so happy to have my best friend Jim Mason apart of my life. Even though the ups and downs, I was there for him during his drug addiction. And now he is sober and continuing is sobriety. Jim was there for me during my burn out, we’re I was not able to leave my house without it taking all out of me.
As you can see we’re always there for each other, and I am so thankful for Jim. But some part of me wonders if we can ever be more then just best friends. Maybe even boyfriend and girlfriend. But that is just a thought. And I have never explored it.
Today I have plans to hang out with Jim, and this is going to be nice. I need some alone time with him. It’s been a while since we’ve been alone together. I love hanging out with him and his twin sister. But today I also just want alone time with him. We talk about our secrets and what we’re going through. I love the way our friendship is. I need him in my life. I have this need to keep him in this life that can get messy at times.
Jim Mason pov
It is was time for me to go meet up with Y/n for our plans of hanging out together. I waited for her at the beach we’re I was sitting on one of the many rocks that surrounded the beach.
Soon I see Y/n coming towards me, she is wearing a gorgeous yellow sundress, and she was so breathtaking. I just wish I could be her boyfriend. This is the moment I decided that my feelings will be confess.
After y/n comes to we’re I was sitting down on a rock, we shared a hug and than just started talking about different things.
Just as the moment feels right to tell y/n my tru feelings about her. I lean in to kiss her lips and just as I do that to my surprise she kisses me back.
“ I have felling for you Y/n and have been wandering to kiss you for a long time.” Are the words coming out of my mouth.
“ i am glad you kissed me Jim, I also have been having feelings for you in the last few months. And I want you to be my boyfriend if you want that Jim.”
Y/n said and I knew that I want to be her boyfriend.
“Yes I will be your boyfriend.” I said, and y/n smiles. Then we started to kiss again.
Best day ever.

Thanks for reading. And sorry if this is short. But I feel good about this. Also hope everyone enjoys reading this. And my next fanfic after is will be an Austin Butler fanfic. Also sorry it took me some longer time to come out with a fanfic. Just had writer block. But I don’t anymore. And as always my request are open. Have a great day.
The Special Guest Stars of “Burke’s Law” read like a Who’s Who list of Hollywood of the era. Many of the appearances, however, were no more than one scene cameos. This is as complete a list ever compiled of all those who even made the briefest of appearances on the series.

Basics:
Name: Sydney Jade Moore
Nickname(s): Syd
Birthday: April 4th
Age: 28
Sexuality: bisexual
Occupation: bartender and social media for the New York Rangers (ex professional surfer)
Positives: easygoing, outgoing, genuine, independent, go with the flow
Characters with Similar Characteristics: Medina Mason (the Tribes of Palos Verdes), Octavia Blake (The 100), Mabel Mora (Only Murders in the Building), Wynonna Earp (Wynonna Earp), Whitney Chase (the Sex Lives of College Girls), Caroline Forbes (the Vampire Diaries)
Biography: (tw: injury, tw: trauma)
Growing up in Linwood, New Jersey, Sydney had a mixed childhood. While her parents, and older brother, always showed they cared and she wanted for nothing, her parents would often fight in earshot of her childhood bedroom.
From 10 years old on, Syd was usually found at the beach. Being out on the water was the only way for her to find her own sense of calm. Where the reality of what was going on at home would be placed on pause and all that mattered was catching the perfect wave.
Since she'd put so much work into her sport, by the time she was a teenager, she was entering and winning nationwide competitions. Then, at the age of eighteen, she had placed number 20 on the international pro surfers list.
Just as she was on top of the world and competing internationally, Sydney suffered a career changing accident. She ended up completely messing up her shoulder; needing surgery to fix the torn rotator cuff.
After the accident, she immediately went into six months of physical therapy, but the fear of something else happening to her shoulder kept her from grabbing her board once cleared.
Once back to health, she moved to NY in hopes of finding something new for herself, but she misses surfing more than anything.
She doesn't tell anyone about her past though because talking about it just makes her sad and brings up the trauma of it all.
She's been bartending at different places for the past couple years, but thinks she's finally found a solid place to stay.
I would love all of the connections for her! So here's a handy dandy connections page and feel free to let me know if your character would be a good fit somewhere!
I am José Andrés Guadalupe Medina, born (1981) and raised Chicano (American born, with both Spanish and Native blood) from Las Cruces, New Mexico. I am an Artist who is a PoC on the autism spectrum, dual-spirit, and queer. My tumblr handle draws much significance from my identity: like Mizar and Alcor - a dual star that shines in the sky as one - I am two-spirit. My soul is both masculine and feminine.
Growing up I was not expected to be any of these things. We were poor and uneducated, and still are. I was expected to be a military hero like all the ‘Men’ in my very strict and tradition-upholding family. I was expected to follow in the footsteps of my father, and his father, and his father, and his father (you get the point) in the career as a soldier - as a Masonic military hero, complete with classified documents and all. Or maybe, I would at least be a scientist as my grandmother (Mexican-born American) had nicknamed me, since I was one of the first of my family to graduate high school. Or better yet I’d be a preacher, like my father was post-military. I, however, had other plans for myself.
Since I was 5 years old, I have dreamt of being an artist. My dreams however were impractical; were I to choose to be a doctor, a preacher, or better yet, a soldier, now that would be practical. So, the first social lie I began telling people was that I wanted to be an architect, because everyone accepted that answer, didn’t make a face when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, and because it was close enough to the truth. Despite all this, doing art kept me occupied in the house where I lived with my grandmother, multiple siblings, and our various cousins. It also kept me from being locked outside playing. It was the 80’s, after all. So, I kept doing art.
Growing up, I listened to everyone: I tried to get a “real” job and work my 9-5 and I went to college (which I failed twice), but I overall struggled to keep myself employed. I was always considered a troubled kid and as an adult, no one really expected anything of a high school dropout. People were just happy that I went back to school to get my diploma. It wasn’t until I was an adult and had lived a whole 30 years before I finally was diagnosed with Autism.
I had lived most of my life until then living in and out of mental institutions and group homes. Doctors were diagnosing me with every behavioral disorder a person can have until I had neurological testing. Most people treat my hidden disability like I am making excuses, so it was like trading in one set of problems for others. Now, I finally have answers to all the questions doctors, parents, and myself had for my whole life.
Enter: another Global Pandemic. I lost enough to the AIDS crisis, and now we had COVID and social quarantine.
The biggest thing about surviving a pandemic (as those of us who survived COVID all know) is that some of us fare better than others, that some of us survive while others don’t. In the AIDS crisis, we lost friends, family and pillars of our oppressed community. LGBTQIA+ comes from all of us standing together to be heard, that we are people that deserve proper health care and community services. We had to come together as Queers and scream all as one that we need and that we deserve healthcare and community service and that we are human fucking beings. We needed to come together as one to be heard and treated as one.
I feel that we have this thing where we forget how recently the AIDS crisis happened. COVID was more isolation and mental torment for me, as someone who survived the AIDS crisis - seeing a similar separation not between cis-straights and queers, but between the masses and the 1%. We needed to come together as one together just as we did then to be heard. Unfortunately, we could not.
I was just finally starting to live my dreams and live the life of an artist before COVID, and most importantly, I was making so much art! Being home living with strangers who took advantage of me and our situation, I felt a real need to express myself but instead found myself unable to create art. I turned to music and poetry, I learned to read music and to play the ukulele, and I turned to the Haiku to learn to express myself through different outlets.
The biggest challenge that I face as an Artist is creating a safe space for me to be creative. Sometimes that means managing my own personal disorders as well as finding a safe space to be creative. I create that space by writing, singing, dancing, and most importantly, laughing. It can take me a couple hours to get into the right creative space to create drawings and paintings. I have to get in the right headspace in order to create, like an athlete warming up before a game or practicing in the off season. My brain is a muscle and needs to do its stretches first.
I practice a meditative form of creating art, one where I take clear mental images or visions as I call them and try to make them real. Sometimes when I create, I have visions as I work and I listen when the art speaks to tell me what it wants to be, and then I try to use whatever I have to make it happen. I do not always know myself what is going to happen or what it will look like when it is done. Sometimes I have clear images of what the art should be when it is finished and I put all my being into recreating the mental image. When I work on commissions I like to become a human 3D printer - recreate whatever the client has in their mind.
In the future, I hope that my art is not only therapeutic for everyone and can become whatever the viewer needs most, but most importantly a gift that we can all share now and for future generations.
My art is not a superpower. However, I feel it in my ancestral blood that I need to replace the art that has been destroyed through colonialism back to the world, and to uplift those on a similar path. I want to present my art to those who may resonate with it, and may find comfort in it, and I want to use this blog to uplift diverse artistry, to celebrate all forms of art, but putting first those who are disabled, queer, and people of color; I want to live and to help others like me live La Vie Boheme and to celebrate a diverse creative spirit.
I want to thank anybody who has visited, reblogged from, or even stuck a like on my posts. I hope we can build a beautiful community together.
jim mason + “you look miserable” - “the outside finally matches the inside”, angst
Sun was warm on your skin, hot in fact. At least the ocean stayed cool no matter how scorching the bright star made the Earth. Smiling, you kicked your feet underwater as you leaned back on your surf.
You always loved the ocean. There was something about it that just drew you close, so dangerously close that you wouldn’t even mind drowning if it meant you understood some of its mysteries.
One of them being a certain boy you were watching from the corner of your eye since you got into the water. He was currently riding a wave, distant look in his eyes as he watched the cliff above.
Jim was… nice. It was fun to be around him, he was kind, but also mischievous. Not to mention handsome. He loved surfing and his sister was just as good a person once you got to know her. You grew close to them both, although you didn’t know the girl too much as she mostly kept to herself. Jim on the other hand was your close friend and you couldn’t help but worry about him.
Lately something felt off. He was still cracking jokes around your group of friends, still acting like the same good ol’ Jim… yet you felt in your gut that something was wrong. His smile didn’t reach his eyes and it was like he was slowly becoming more and more numb to the world around him with each passing day.
And you absolutely hated it.
“Hey.” A voice rang through the air and you jumped, violently dragged from your thoughts.
You turned to its owner and smiled seeing it was the boy occupying your mind. “Hey,” you greeted back and he gave a smile of his own. That fake, fabricated smile you hated so much.
At least now he was close enough for you to look at him without being constantly interrupted by your friends. He was sitting in pretty much the same position as you, but where you were relaxed, he was tense. As if he was expecting something bad to happen any second. He had dark circles under his eyes like he hadn’t slept well for some time – or was it that shit boys sometimes gave him? Just the thought made your stomach churn.
“What?” He asked, playfully raising a brow at you noticing your inspection of him. Oh how you wished you could tune in on that tone.
“You look miserable,” you stated matter-of-factly. Your eyes met and you held his gaze. It was unsure, taken aback even. You imagined the gears grinding in his brain.
Then he chuckled humorlessly in defeat, a sigh escaping his lips. “The outside finally matches the inside.” He bit his lip, turning away from you.
Before you thought about the consequences, you reached out and grabbed his hand. He turned back and you could see a single tear running down his cheek.
“That’s not okay,” you said simply. “Wanna talk about it?”
He lowered his eyes to where your hand rested over it, then they flicked to your group. “Maybe somewhere else?” He half-guessed and you could see he wasn’t sure about the idea.
“I’d love to but I get it if it’s too personal or whatever,” you shrugged with a smile and meant to fold your hand back in your lap but his other hand gently pulled it back, trapping it in place. You gave him a curious look.
“No, I mean,” he sighed, swallowing thickly, “Are you free tonight? Medina’s gonna be out and I don’t want to be alone.” He admitted and you gave him a sympathetic smile.
“Sure, just say the place and time and I’ll be there,” you promised, squeezing his hand a bit. He seemed to appreciate the gesture, squeezing back.
“Will you stay like this if I let go now?” He whispered so quietly you nearly didn’t hear him through the waves crashing against shore. You followed his gaze to your hands and your heart skipped a beat.
“I will.” The words left your mouth before you even realized it. He carefully took his hand off yours as he let your fingers lace together. Your eyes met again and he smiled before turning his head to look at the ocean in front of you. You had to bite your lip to stop yourself from giggling.
This smile of his was genuine.
