Evaluation of Emission Pattern of Compression Ignition Engines Fuelled With Blends of Orange Peel Oil Based Biodiesel Using Artificial Neural Network Model

Abstract

It is well established that Orange peeled oil biodiesel (OPOB) is a suitable fuel in Compression Ignition (CI) engines because of its compatible physicochemical properties with diesel. Literature is however sparse on its emission characteristics in CI engines majorly because few investigations have been done due to seemingly difficult and time-consuming experiments. On this strength, this work first carried out experimental investigations on carbon monoxide (CO), unburned hydrocarbon (UHC), oxides of nitrogen (NOX) and smoke of orange peel oil based biodiesel in single cylinder, four stroke CI engine; and afterwards applied the power of artificial neural networks (ANNs) prediction model to predict to the full-scale CO, UHC, NOX, and SMOKE values of the CI engine. Brake load, orange oil-diesel mixture percentages and engine speed were the inputs of the ANN while Levenberg Marquardt (trainlm) and scaled conjugate gradient (trainscg) were the training algorithms to enable better comparative estimation. Performance indicators (correlation coefficient (R), mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) and root mean squared error (RMSE)) were used to compare the predicted and experimental values of the neural network. The ANN trained with Levenberg Marquardt algorithm predicted the emissions with highest accuracy (R very close to +1) and low error rates. The study concludes that ANN is a reliable tool to investigate the emissions profile of a CI engine.

Wanted to go into depth with my ME ocs so they will have multiple parts. I'll link them eventually.

First we have Saya Ghalor; recon specialist and field medic. At age 3 she was adopted into a military Turian family and grew up with her foster parents since. She has one older sibling, turian, and he leads the team she is on. Her father, Talion, is the General and head of commission of the outpost they respond to. Her mother, Xariah, is head of the trauma team that also serves the outpost.

Her biological family was killed in a shuttle crash while en route to a mission they were assigned. With her turian parents being close friends with them and granted the honor of becoming god parents, they immediately called Saya one of their own.

She was 19 years old when she joined the Turian militia, following her father's footsteps in wanting to help protect her homeworld and people, friends and family. Her physical attributes show more than her mental ones do, but she is equally just as smart in the field. She is quick on her feet, muscularly built which makes climbing and running easier. Her stamina is very high and she has fast reflexes making her the perfect scout.

Saya prefers her hand cannons and pistols while also carrying a combat knife in her boot and one on her belt. They provide easier maneuverability while infiltrating strongholds and enemy camps.

Saya is also a biotic, but since her powers are not yet fully developed she refrains from using them most of the time. She has only ever used them in tight situations in the battle field.

When she returns home for leave you can find her at the club most of the time on the Citadel, more than likely at the bar or on the dance floor. Other times she is either hanging out with her team, her parents or her boyfriend Corsair, who is turian as well as on her team. There is also an area down by the medbay on the Citadel where her mother and father share an office, as well as their own separate areas for medical purposes and military.  You can also find her in either one.

Saya is very loyal to her team and family, determined, cunning, quick witted and fierce. All of these traits are what keeps her head in the game, and keeps her team safe and focused, as well as keep herself safe.
