Let's call today Wesker Wednesday! Here's a short list of my favorite (completed) Resident Evil fanfics featuring my favorite villain, Albert Wesker. Most of these are on the older side, posted before A03 was even a thing. I have been in this fandom a loooong time (2008ish?) and I've had a while to hoard.

I don't even ship these two *dodges bricks* but if I have to recommend one chris/wesker fic, this is THE one. It's a slow build with a well-grounded approach to how they might have gotten into a relationship during their STARS days, and does not sugar coat what kind of man Wesker is while still keeping him human. There is also plenty of time and attention paid to the other STARS members and their shenanigans. The characterization throughout is excellent, and the ending perfectly bittersweet.

This series is my gold standard for the other Redfield ship, Claire x Wesker. It begins with Claire stealing a virus sample from Wesker, who takes her hostage to get it back, and things spiral out from there. The two of them have a really lovely dynamic that grows more complex as the series goes on but never veers into melodrama. Claire is a badass and Wesker neatly walks the thin line between charming and deplorable, never falling into woobification or stooping to rape.

If you like long, involved, plotty horror erotica about extremely terrible people doing extremely terrible things, this is the series for you. It's like the Anne Rice vampire chronicles fused with NBC's Hannibal, biohazard style, in that megadark edgy way we could only really get away with back in the 2000s. It follows William and Wesker from their early Umbrella days to after Will's death and the events of Code Veronica. Needless to say this was posted long before RE 5 came out and has a very...unique...origin for Sherry Birkin.

I knew this would happen. Which is why I copied and pasted into a Word doc for later use. The original link of the “fantasy issue” of Sassy for December of 1994 is not working. In the event that it does come back up, click here.

Recall that there was a three-month period where Sassy changed hands. There were no official magazines from December 1994 through February 1995. But someone was dreaming . . . word for word, with all of its typos, here is the text:

anyhow, sIssy is the LOST dec'94 issue of sAssy - the last issue EVER, never published before, syquests still at the printers, etc. It was gonna be put out as a paper zine, but everyone was too bummed out, and where the fuck did those disks go?! blair got slipped the ratty 3rd gen xeroxes and the rest is all here, revamped for the web. woo hoo!!

montueswednesthursfrisatursunday is an online exhibition presenting the culmination of Loyola University Chicago’s Painting 2 course.  

Students were prompted to create a project within the field of “Expanded Painting”. Individual projects incorporate painting, paired with various fields such as sculpture, installation, performance, drawing, alternative materials, and photography.  

The exhibition title suggests the blur of time under quarantine, as days blend and a new reality is present.  The instructor for the course, Gina Hunt, presented over 30 contemporary artists working within the field of Expanded Painting to introduce the project, and continued the semester via zoom meetings as the students worked at home. Each artwork is also paired with an artist statement.  

The exhibition is also viewable via Instagram (@montueswednesthursfrisatursun) 

 The exhibition opens Friday, May 1 and will continue to be online for viewing throughout the summer.  The artists featured in the exhibition are:

small update on the family!

alessia and ettore both died of old age on the same day. of talia's siblings, all but adelina are married (she's the fun spinster aunt). davide has a husband but no kids. giorgia has 2 boys, arjun and rishi, with her husband. tommaso has 3 kids with his wife, gabriella, lucia, and mateo. and agata and her wife have a daughter, nari.

antonio married his gf and they have a daughter, kaia, and a son, samay. he and his wife run a vet clinic. aurora married her gf and they just had their daughter, caoimhe. she is a lawyer now. anastasia had a science baby named marcella with her wife and then a regular baby named bianca and she is working as a journalist. and zuri had just a son, enzo, with her husband, who happens to be the twin brother of tony's wife! and she is an actor. the four of them were all really close in age so it'll be a bit before the next 3 kids catch up but that's where we're at!

and back at home, raffaella is a teen! the two youngest girls here.

i updated the family tree to where i am in game but i really don't take a lot of pics while i'm playing so what i've posted is behind. rory & tony have already graduated uni and gotten married for me

seniors trip to sulani! i took almost no pics though cause i literally brought all their friends and then spent the entire time they were there trying to keep track of everyone

update they're officially dating! also apparently aisling has a baby? i didn't do that on purpose but i will admit i didn't get rid of it

on the plus side, rory and aisling are getting along and rory developed a crush on her as well (rory's got like a crush on everyone though)

right when rory and karmine started to get a bit of a romance bar, karmine aged up to young adult literally in front of rory. so that's probably not gonna happen.
