I WANNA FEEL LOVE AGAIN
Part 1 ; Part 2 ;
Tumblr media
Couple: Noah Sebastian x Fem!Reader
Content Warning: I made a little homage to three fanfiction I really love! I leave you to find the references ;)
Taglist: @ada-clarence , @badalmondzzzz , my wifey @starsomens , @raventherockstarhippie @blacksoul-27 , @somewhere-diamond
Summary:  This is just cute. I swear.
But you never promised me to be wiser of better.
Time flies.
Two years passed by so fast that you almost didn't notice. At first, your job was not demanding at all, compared with the rest of the crew. You have to accompaning Noah or any other member of the band to attend the interviews, most of them for radio stations. Taking notes for integrations on their website. Keep an eye on publicize enough any tourdates or merch drop, find sponsor for bigger venues and check at the end of the day if the guys need something for the day after.
You had to spend a lot of your time on the band socials, especially instagram and twitter, which you have always shared credentials with your brother and the rest of the band. You also create their TikTok and take care about the creation of fun contents.
It was way easy before the release of Death of Peace of Mind. After the beginning of 2022, you were on the road more than at home. A lot of famous hosters started to ask for an interview with Noah. All the lights switched on the future promise of rock music when Just Pretend became one of the most used/listened songs on TikTok.
And now, in the middle of the summer of 2023, the band is still rising. More money bring more responsabilities, the necessity of arranged a better shows, bigger interviews, more publicity, more interaction through the socials.
Everyone has to work the double, you included. Speaking with radio manager and small magazine specialized in all metal subgenders was a thing.
But now the band is too huge to stop at this level. And you werent trained enough for all this pressure, but it started to grow on you month after month, tour after tour. You are the guardian of Noah's schedule. You are not charming enough to compete with others PR, but since the crew is more similar to family meeting than a serious ansemble of professionals, you became competitive.
Hard work got big results like the european tour with Bring Me the Horizon. Oli wanted Bad Omens to open for him but you were the one who put all her soul and time on the project. On the papers. Because behing any tour there is a mountain of burocracy, sponsor phone calls and publicity. You had to team up with Matt, Miles and Davis so many times that at some point, that it's like having more than just one older brother.
From june 4th, the last day on tour, you are on vacation. You have nothing to do with music creation or audio/video sound checks. You just need a laptop, a lot of patience every time you scroll your emails, and the fantastic mojito your neighbour Brianna makes. A good reason to work on your balcony, along with the sound of the ocean, is her company. You don't have many friends but she is amazing. She moved from Minnesota after the shutdown, and she is an actress. Small roles, but as she always says, small roles bring bigger ones.
《 and it would have been ever better if my prick boyfriend didn't show up and basically assaulted the casting director》
You have heard this story at least ten times, but it's still amazing how boys can be idiots. 《 Why are you still with him? He's a bomb ready to detonate, Bri》 , you know that your concern will not help her in resonate, but you can't shut up.
《 I can't afford either the apartment or the car and you know that, y/n. Also, he is not that bad when he's sorber.》
《 But he never is! 》 you place the now empty glass on the outdoor table, disappointed in seeing her almost offended expression. It's a fortune that Matt isn't around. He has to deal with Jim at least twice a week. 《 You're my friend, Bri. The only one unrelated to my job..... I can't sleep over this situation anymore. I can help you. Move in with me and Matt, take care of my plant and Lucifurr for me while we are on tour. We don't want you to help with the rent. You just need to tell that dick to fuck off.》
《.... but he drives me to every casting》
《 and he's the reason no one is picking you in a very first place. This relationship is too toxic》
《 y/n I think you're crossing the line.》
《 He's gonna kill you one of these days!》
You both muted for a couple of seconds, the now tense air between the two of you being thick as a wall. Yeah, you cross the line but like Matt, you're no good in resonate with people who don't want any help. And like Matt you can't stand injustice, not at this rate.
But you know that you have to excuse yourself, simply it's hard to find the right words. You are not going to apologise for speaking your mind, but just about the way you did it.
《 y/n? Are you ready?》
A raspy voice catch you off guard. It's already seven??
《 Shit, Noah. I'm outside》, you yell in response, before turning again towards Brianna. She already reached the empty glass and without a word, and she comes back to her apartment. 《 C'mon Brianna. I'm sorry, just-for the fuck sake.》
Noah is standing right next to you when Brianna shut the door loudly.
All you can do is sigh out loud - a bad habit you inherit from the tall man on your side - before bringing your hands to cover your face in frustration.
《 What's going on, here?》 He asks , munching a candy.
《 I don't understand women.》
He gives you a funny look. 《 Damn, that's the real deal, man. Not the chicken/egg question, or what's our purpose on earth.... but why you girls act so weird. 》
《 Shut the fuck up, Noah. Not now.》
Your relationship with Noah also changed drastically in the last two years. It required some time and a ton of patience, but he open up to you and from thenon, you became a sort of confident of him. In return, he is the one you call when things are not going well. It was a bit embarrassing, the first months, but your friendship now is stronger than youve ever immagined. You feel like you can tell everything to Noah without being judged. Sometimes he laughs at you, of course, but he knows when a situation has to be manged seriously.
He cares about you with all his heart.
He doesn't aspect nothing in return, but he is dear to you on a level than only your brother have always been.
And he knows you deeply, that's why it is so easy for him to detect how worried you are.
《 Do you think he beats her? I mean, Steve is a scumbag, but I can't figure him being actually that violent. He is always too high to have some form of coordination.》
Since his arrival - Noah has the keys of the apartment so he can come and go as he pleased, especially when both you and matt are not in town and someone has to take care of Luci- Noah asked you questions on Brianna's situation.
He knows you're concerned and he also can't pretend he is fine with your neighbors yelling at each others on daily basis.
《 I don't know but he is getting more and more jealous. She told me he's sabotaging her auditions, now.》
Noah takes a sip of the iced tea you offer him, before grab your hand on the surface of the counter. 《 Start to call the police on them, when they argue. Maybe you're right. He is not beating her yet. But he could start.》 You nod slowly, thanking him with a soft smile. 《 By the way, do you feel okay? Wanna postpone our date?》
He loves to joke around with you, because he knows how this helps in rising your moral.
You pretend to get offended. 《 I would never, ever decline a date with you. Let me change in a more adequate outfit.》
《 take your time, the limo's driver can wait downstairs.》
You giggle, before leaving him in the kitchen, reaching your room for a quick change. In five minutes you're ready: a ponytail, red joggers and a tank top.
《 Ready to run, pretty boy?》
《 I'm always ready, chicken butt.》
Noah has never told you the real reason why he has taken the work out so seriously, but you're glad he did, because you joined him on his program and honestly, you feel at your top right now. It's not a matter of aesthetics, but you feel healthy. You are less tired at the end of the day, and you can endure the - at least- 15 working hours while Touring. Back at home, it became a habit of the two of you going out for a run daily during the sunsets since Noah is not an early bird and you'd rather work in the morning.
The place you chose is on the street that runs alongside the beach in Malibù. One of reason why you got used to LA is also the precious view of the ocean while the sun sinks in it and paints the sky in gold.
There is a small beach, hidden in the stunning nature of the Pacific Coast, that has become your spot. Every day you reach that beach, stretch a little and then go back to your apartment when usually Noah showers before leaving.
Today is a Saturday and even if you don't have big plans, Noah sometimes takes his chances on a Saturday night. Even God took a day off on Sunday, right?
《 It's the red hair?》
You ear him chuckles while you bend, grabbing the tip of your toes to stretch your back.
《 No red hair as far as I can recall》
《 So... the girl you helped at that dive bar?》 You rise again, bringing your arms to the sky 《The one who broke up with her cheating boyfriend? Or maybe your neighbour? I like her. I remember you told me she was so happy when you sent her our merch.》
Noah pushes you a little, making you loosing your balance while a giggle leaves your lips. 《 You're making me look like a fuckboy!》
《you are a fuckboy, always surrounded by beautiful women. And don't look at me like that! I know you like it that way!》
Noah is young and awesome. You got a crush on him in the beginning of your partnership. It's more than obvious that he has a significant number of choices when he wants to spend a night out.
This used to hurt you a bit, but the feeling of jealousy or envy - you still don't know what it was - disappeared in the moment you realised what you have.
All this girls can have noah for a night or two.
You can have him fully, you can call him in the middle of the night if a guy screws on you and Noah will bring you to buy ice-cream to McDonald's. You two can talk for hours about the absolute nothing or regarding the most difficult life choices.
You can mocking him, make him laugh in the golden light of the dying sun, in this very moment.
And that's more than enough.
Maybe you and Noah are not meant to be lovers, but he is your person and you are his. Like twin Flames, that doesn't matter how far they are.
They always burn bright.
《 I don't know, I was thinking for something casual. Like Netflix and chill.》
Lucifurr jumps off the sofa in the moment he hears Noah entering in your apartment. Your cat totally ignores you and starts to purr to the tall man that interrupts everything to kneel and cuddle the black ball of furr.
Satanic animal...
《 Then you should text the neighbor. She is the sweetest of yours hooks up.》
《 Then I can simply ring the door on my way back.》
《 Call her, Noah. Don't be a prick. The world doesn't revolve around you. Maybe she is planning to go out.》
You can hear him sigh in his annoying way. 《Can I shower here, anyway? I smell bad.》
《 You always smell bad.》
《 Am I???》
You exchange a glaze with him and immidiatly know its time to run. In the moment he leaves Luci alone, he is following you around the house while you yell for help. But matt isn't back yet, so you're on your own. As soon as noah reaches you (very soon, his legs are longer than yours), he huggs you tight, trying to put your head under his armpit.
《 NOAH STOP IS DISGUSTING!》 , you try to defend yourself hitting him on his back and between his legs with small slaps.
《Ei! Low blow! Don't slap my nutts!》
《 Don't sweat on me, you piece of-》
A yell interrupted the both of you, follow by a long cry and some smashed dishes. Noah realise the grip on you and sighs deeply looking at the wall that divides your apartment from Briannas one.
《 Is it always like this?》
《 almost every day, now.》
And there is something that broke in your cracking voice that completely shattered Noahs heart.
《 let's call the cops》, he says with a soft voice, hugging your shoulders. 《 I'll stay. We can watch a movie togheter.》
You look at him in surprise while he is reaching his phone. 《 and your date?》
《 you're my date》 , is the cheeky replay. The both of you smile, and you need a second. Not only because you're worried about brianna, but also because these small situations make you feel.... weird on your feelings towards noah.
You don't want to admit it, but a real date would be all you desire.
....but at what cost?

My guy Laios is a digimon kid not a pokemon kid.
Due to his childhood he'd likely relate to the whole aspect of the protags getting spirited away into a fantastical otherworld or choosing to go there more appealing than folks just existing in one
the types of designs that Laios likes lean more the way of digimon than pokemon. He likes overdesigned critters with clashing mishmashed parts and oozing cool factor over anything else. You saw how disappointed Laios was with Marcille's cute simple familiar designs.
Laios wants to have friends who like him for who he is and Digimon's whole thing with the chosen children and their deity-assigned best monster buddies who love them no matter what would be more appealing than Pokemon's monster pets thing.
Laios seeing the kids in Digimon Frontier getting to be digimon and the kids in Digimon Tamers biomerging with their digis and goes "Fuck yeah!"
Part of the reason Laios is infatuated with monsters is because they're dangerous, aggressive, and eat people and when he was young he used them as a vehicle for his violent fantasies towards the people who bullied him and his sisters and the villagers who were bigoted to his sister. Digimon most certainly hits those same boxes so much more than Pokemon. Digimon fights can get down right grizzly and the digimon themselves pose a much greater potential threat to humans. Hell, in some series in the Digimon franchise digimon are making organized attempts to wipe out humans or simply preying on them.
Given the kinds of subject matter that Digimon gets into with its human cast, it would likely have a much better catharsis factor for a young Laios. Especially the series in Digimon that involves issues with older and younger siblings.
I can picture a young Laios relating to Matt, Izzy, Davis, Ken, Takato, Jeri, etc (there are so many) waaaaaaaaay more than the main folks in Pokemon.
Being able to relate to Ken and Takato but also be made very uncomfortable in being able to relate to them and probably prompting some internal reflection
He'd make so many fan digimon. He'd love the og digimon artstyle
Would enjoy the sheer veriesty that Digimon games offer and would have fun with the bullshit hard ones where you have to raise digimon in specific ways to get certain evolutions
In conclusion, Laios is team Digimon. But you know who would love Pokemon? Marcille. Marcille would love Pokemon and Viva Pinata.

No sonic screwdriver. No TARDIS. No city-razing destruction, nor stupefyingly cute alien critters. As Doctor Who episodes go, ‘Wild Blue Yonder’ couldn’t be more different from the show’s blockbuster comeback, ‘The Star Beast’, if it tried. Last week’s adventure was Who at the peak of its silly, sugar-rush sci-fi powers: a spectacular kick-off to the show’s 60th anniversary celebrations, precision-tooled to dazzle newbies (Whobies?) and dyed-in-the-wool Whovians alike. This week’s, however — essentially a two-hander — is an insular Gothic chamber piece that goes toe-to-toe with Alien in the spaceship-as-haunted-house stakes. Invoking everything from NuWho favourites ‘Midnight’ and ‘Listen’ to sci-fi horror classics Event Horizon and The Thing, Russell T Davies strips everything back here to remind viewers at home that there ain’t no bottle episode like a Doctor Who bottle episode.
Arriving under a shroud of sworn secrecy (even press didn’t see this one until it aired), speculation had been rife about exactly what ‘Wild Blue Yonder’ would be. Rumours of a multi-Doctor story — Peter Capaldi, Matt Smith, Jodie Whittaker: you name ’em and someone had an in-depth Twitter/X thread red-stringing together a theory — abounded. But while technically this is a multi-Doctor story (and a multi-Donna one at that), it’s not one in the way anybody would have expected. And honestly, amid a landscape of disposable cameos and inconsequential fan-service, that the secrecy is in aid of storytelling rather than stunt casting is a blessed relief.
A comical cold open sees the Doctor (David Tennant) and a newly memory-restored Donna (Catherine Tate) flung back to England, circa 1666. There, the duo catalyse Sir Isaac Newton’s (It’s A Sin’s Nathaniel Curtis) discovery of ‘mavity’ (a communicational mishap) and the Doctor’s discovery of bisexuality (“He was hot, wasn’t he?”). But a classic ‘Doctor-meets-historical-figure-and-hijinks-ensue’ caper this is not. And before long, the Doctor and Donna find themselves stranded aboard a seemingly abandoned spaceship harbouring a threat so terrifying that even the TARDIS has done a runner.
The eerie, empty (save for glacially slow Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy-homaging Chekhov’s robot Jimbo), seemingly endless spacecraft corridors and wheezing hydraulic pistons of ‘Wild Blue Yonder’ represent a stark counterpoint to the crashy, bangy, flashy Meepiness of ‘The Star Beast’. A sublime combination of pneumatic practical effects, soundstages, and nifty CGI made possible by that sweet new Disney dollar, the distinctly Nostromo-esque sense of isolation about the ship aptly evokes the abyss of the episode’s edge-of-the-universe setting. It’s a spatial oddity that serves the plot and augments the tone of the piece perfectly, centralising our focus on the Doctor, Donna, and their unique bond as the uncanny threat they face is slowly revealed. That threat? Why themselves, of course. Sort of.
Revealed in a properly creepy sequence that starts with the slow-dawning realisation that something isn’t quite right and climaxes with an injection of out-and-out Cronenbergian body horror, the ‘Not-Things’ are Weeping Angel-level nightmare fuel. Cosmic shapeshifters bent on universal destruction, the demonic doppelgängers — brought to life with palpable, dead-eyed menace by a multi-roling Tennant and Tate — are able to mimic the Doctor and Donna’s form, manner, and even memories.
This set-up leads to a succession of intricately written “I know I’m me but how do I know you’re you?”-type exchanges — including one particularly fiendish bait-and-switch — that really allow Tate and Tennant to flex their acting chops, underlining their inimitable chemistry in the process. It’s also an opportunity for Davies to really hammer home that this is the Fourteenth Doctor, not the Tenth — and Donna Temple-Noble with a family waiting for her at home, not Donna from Chiswick gadding about with a two-hearted spaceman.
One particular exchange, in which canon-reshaping events of the Chris Chibnall era of the show come to the fore, allows Tennant to really click through the gears as he embodies elements of the Doctors who’ve been and gone since last time around: Smith’s wistful longing, Capaldi’s bone-deep grief, Whittaker’s emotional vulnerability. In about 30 seconds, several years of head-spinning exposition is simply, beautifully reframed. The Doctor doesn't really know who they are anymore, running from reckoning with the weight of all that they’ve seen and done, hoping against hope for somebody else out there to understand — if even just for a little while. No matter whether you’re a hardcore Whovian or don’t so much as carry a provisional TARDIS licence, if you’re looking for a distillation of the show’s essential nature, you’d struggle to find one better than this.
‘Wild Blue Yonder’ is a brutally simple, slickly executed high concept that we’ve seen iterative versions of before in OG Tennant/Tate-era fan favourites ‘Midnight’ and ‘Waters Of Mars’. But, especially when considered in the context of Who’s recent turbulent history, its use here — in a conversation-heavy hour of TV that digs deep into the past 15 years of the show both on and off screen — feels utterly singular. Giving folks the Doctor, with their plucky companion and techno-babble and eccentric wardrobe is easy, Davies seems to be saying: anyone can do it. But without genuine emotion — without heart — all you’ve really got is a pale imitation of something truly great, iconography and nothing more. Lucky for us, then, that by the time the credits roll there can be no doubt. This bold new Whoniverse is the real deal, and nothing is wrong… nothing in the whole wide world. *Sniffle*.
Taut, tense, and frequently terrifying, this spaceship-in-a-bottle episode isn’t just an instant Who classic — it’s one of 2023’s finest hours of TV to boot.'

‌Emily Davis x Jessica Riley
1. You can't tell me there's a straight explanation for their argument in the cabin. There's more sexual chemistry there than between Matt and Emily the whole game
2. bad bitches on some hot girl shit tragic best friends to enemies they just needed to kiss and make up
3. besties to girlfriends, can’t say more. they could bond again after traumatic experience why not
Ashley Brown x Chris Hartley x Josh Washington
1. personally?? personally. they just Are the best ship the seance scene single handedly conveys such an interesting and complex dynamic between the 3 of them in little under 10 minutes, tbh Every interaction they all have before shit goes down paints a picture of chemistry and friendship that could Very Easily transition into romantic it feels wrong to seperate the 3 of them into pairings... feels Unnatural
Jamie Tiergan x Erin Keenan (Jerin)
1. my beloveds okay, i was in pleasant shock when saw a "young love" plot line (i didn't know anything about TDiM when i started it so didn't expect to get lesbians)
2. Jamie and Erin already have such a wonderful dynamic to begin with, having bounced around each other before taking the leap after enough flustering and teasing. They care so deeply for each other, and one losing the other is beyond heartbreaking. Erin even admits how much she doesn't want to lose Jamie, which makes my heart scream and yell and cry and oh my god
3. They're sweet, they're cute, they're canon! Supermassive finally gave us an official queer couple that can get together and Jerin deserves some recognition for that. <3
4. I mean, its Jerin! They're relationship is so cute and interesting even if they don't get together, its so clear when they don't they still very much love and adore each other and have so much more to say. And when they ARE together they are just so cute and gentle to each other. The perfect couple <3 (also they are a very rare non-white biracial lesbian couple that aren't toxic or weird so the representation they hold is just <3)

welcome ( our main masterlist )
below you will find the various fandoms that we're interested in writing for or already are, we will also have written fics linked to said fandoms, we also do take requests so don't be shy in asking.
also, if there isn't a link for the selected fandoms, it's because we haven't written anything for it yet :)
what we do write: we will write literally anything that we put our minds to, whether it be something cute or something a little more extravagant, ask away and we will do our best with what we are given. we don't just post requests as we also have ideas of our own that's just as fun to share with those interested.
what we don't write: everyone has their comfort zone in writing and we often like to step out of it and take a chance but some things we just won't write for, when it comes to our account we want everyone to feel like they can be comfortable with what they're reading so we draw the line at things such as r*pe, sexual assault, abusive relationships, in the past we have had the odd request for those type of things but they're never ever written and won't be accepted if requested.

Hello! Sorry you don't have to rush to do this ask I just wanted to send it before I forgot it! So don't sweat about it!
So the until dawn character reactions to matts new girly s/o? Likes to wear cute things and pink?
(Basically, I was going through nostalgia and that combo would be Draculaura and Clawd from MH and I love that 💘🦋)
AWWW YOU GOT ME SOBBING!! I LOVED MONSTER HIGH😭✋💕 this idea is so cuteeeee💖 sorry I didn't add Hannah and Beth, I didn't know if you wanted them included. This was kinda difficult cus I had to assume most of the characters relationships with Matt cus he hardly interacts with anybody💀 sorry for Ashley's bit, I got kinda distracted
Until Dawn Character Reactions
Matts New Cutesy!Feminine!GN!S/O
Pre-Game
~~
Josh Washington
Josh is very confused but very supportive
As always💀
How did Matt get such a cute partner?
But he loves seeing how happy you make his friend😭💖
Josh is very happy for you and Matt
Sam Giddings
Sam absolutely adores your style
She loves the colours you use and how well you fit them
She is much less confused than josh about your relationship
You're both super adorable people, just in different ways
If you ever need relationship advice, Sam would be the best to go to
Chris Hartley
Chris would probably be a little jealous of Matt💀
I think he'd be one of those dudes obsessed with anime and would desperately want a cutesy anime waifu
So seeing Matt have the partner of his dreams would make Chris kinda salty
But when he sees how happy Matt makes you, his bitterness melts away
Ashley Brown
Ashley would adore your style also
I think she'd have a similar one, or at least would want a similar style
When Matt introduces you to the group, you and Ashley become instant besties
Going on shopping trips, reading together, arts and crafts, you name it
Ashley's relationship status in chapter one is the third highest for Matt so I think that means they're pretty good friends
She's really happy you and Matt are in a relationship
Emily Davis
Emily would probably be really mad at you and Matt
You being there is stopping her from using Matt as a rebound after her break-up with Mike.
Regarding your cutesy style, she'd probably think it's really childish
She really wouldn't understand why anyone would wear something that's not designer or expensive
She'd definitely be the meanest towards you
Mike Munroe
Mike just wants to get with you.
Why have a respectful, kind boyfriend when you can have one evening with Mike 💀
Everytime Mike sees you, with Matt or not, he flirts with you
Mike is the kinda guy to completely ignore your boundaries even after you tell him off a million times😬
Jess Riley
Jess would love to dress you up
She'd love to go through your closet, do your make-up and do your hair
She's so in love with you and Matts relationship
No. 1 Supporter 😭💖

You’ll have to excuse me, I’m kinda old
And I’ve been through this song and dance before.
I don’t want you to tell me about how obviously the symbolism, song lyrics, motifs, or themes of the story allude to the main character being gay/queer.
I want you to tell me if the author said he was queer. I want you to tell me if the publisher categorizes him as queer. I want you to tell me if he has been explicitly advertised as queer. Hell, I want you to show me the mainstream media that has stirred the pot on this, announcing it or broadcasting people who are against it.
You don’t get to live in this fantasy where being a gay main character is an easy thing, and the only worry is “Will They or Won’t They.”
You get to live in the world where if a character is queer, the author isn’t coy about it; its not a freakin’ mystery to be unraveled by analyzing the outro lyrics. Because not only would his editors/producers not want to be blindsided by that, but they need to market accordingly and predict audience responses. Because there will be people who boycott and hate it just because.
You don’t get to insist your ship is endgame by just saying the boys are dressed too cute to actually be straight. You have to insist your ship is endgame by showing actual improvements in actual gay men’s civil rights.
Do you see any evidence that the author is ALLOWED by his producers to write a queer main character? If not... the purpose of a lead female character is to be placed prominently in the advertising of the show, to show a balance and contrast to young girls. You remember those, right? Young girls? Many of whom aren’t yaoi fangirls, so their first priority when picking a show to watch isn’t imagining that all male best friends are secretly lovers.
You don’t get to ask for queerbaiting marketing because talking about actual gay men’s acceptance in society is too hard, so you’d rather pretend the real issue is who gets to hold Izuku’s hand in the opening sequence and not the massive amounts of worldwide homophobia and how it would affect Shonen Jump, Viz Media, Bones Studio, Crunchyroll, Medialink, Animax, and Warner Bros to have a cash cow franchise endorse a gay main character.
You don’t get to step backwards and ask for scraps.
You ask for real acceptance with a main character who is obviously written and marketed as queer. You don’t ask for your ship to be featured in the opening so that your gif sets look wicked cool.
And with all that being said, of course Bakugou is the most important relationship in Izuku’s story. This is a Shonen Jump anime, the rival is always the most important relationship in the hero’s story. But back in my day, yaoi fangirls didn’t insist that their ships - Grimmjow/Ichigo and Renji/Byakuya? Goku/Vegeta? Yugi Moto/Seto Kaiba? Hiei/Kurama? Ash/Gary or Red/Blue? Tai/Matt? Davis/Ken? - were canon and endgame, and if the authors looked like they were indulging them, they called it queerbaiting because “Shonen Jump would never.” Has something changed? Feel free to show me.
That’s all I ask.

Fake Dating Lesbian Kari and Gay TK AU
I mentioned this in a past post but this
They are the homies that would date each other just because they are close and “Oh I'm a guy and your a girl, I have known you for years so we should automatically get together because that is what is normal, right?”. Their first kiss would be “wow, this is so underwhelming”.
After a while when there on their “date”, their are like “mmm yes, women/men.” and talk about their crushes while pretending to be together due to political reasons (ie Matt and Kai not going into “YOU BROKE MY BABY SISTER/BROTHER’S HEART, I’LL BREAK YOUR BROTHER’S FACE.” and possibly cause another world ending digi-disaster)
and adding a jealous Yolei and Davis, AND THEY ARE JEALOUS OF BOTH (”God why does Kari get the cute guys, and why does she have to be so cute herself that I cannot blame them?!?!?!” “I hate TK, he got Kari in his palms, he has that stupid grin around her, AND WHY IS HE GRINNING AT HER IN THAT CUTE WAY-”)

Digimon Adventure 02 (Blind Watch) - Episode 38
Now that's what I'm talking about! I live for episodes like these: reunions with the OG digi-destined, real world setting, casual clothing, and cute bonding moments! The fact that it's a Christmas episode is a nice bonus (and it's hitting just at the right time too). Let's hope that this is a good sign for things to come and not a fluke...
Notes:
-Ichijouji was adorable in this episode, so timid, so grateful to have friends :') good for him
-Damn that Santa cake looked good...there was a lot of food in this episode actually (perfect for my anime food side blog hehe)
-That extended scene with Takeru's Mom was weirdly refreshing. It's always nice seeing older characters in anime in general, especially in shows where they get pushed to the side normally. (Series with adult digi-destined when??)
-Did not realize that they could use the digital world to fast-travel from Japan to America, mind-blown! The scene where they left Palmon by Mimi's bed as an XMas present was so cute (although we don't typically do bedside presents in America lol cultural difference).
Tumblr media
-Loved the winter wear. Miyako looked especially cute this episode. The hat/peacoat combo really suited her.
-Didn't expect the sudden Yamato/Taichi/Sora love triangle scene. Felt kind of random since I can't recall Sora and Yamato ever interacting much (of course, Sora has never done much in general lol).
-They actually gave Matt an original song in the dub. Wonder if that made it to some soundtrack? (Ditto for the OG song too). They both sounded pretty generic.
-So apparently Yamato's band is big enough to be brodcasted live on Fuji TV?? Damn, I thought he was just in a garage band or something.
-Lol not Davis suggesting they play "strip poker" in the dub
-Kind of a weird mix of evil digis unleashed on the real world, some really weak and some OP, but they were kinda all treated the same. Also, it's not clear why these digimon were attacking in the first place? Like, they're not dark tower digimon and they don't have control rings, so... -shrug- maybe that's supposed to be part of the new mystery.
-We got a special Christmas insert song in the sub and an adorable Digified "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" rendition in the sub. We stan.
-Why is Ken just chilling in the dark at the end there? Old emo habits die hard I guess...

Modern Digimon Dub Rambling
Something that I don’t see brought up with modern Digimon Adventure dubs like... at all is how lackadaisical the dub casting is now?
1. Any voice actors that were still active got to reprise their roles - Colleen O'Shaughnessey as Sora, Mona Marshall as Izzy,  Philece Sampler as Mimi, Tom Fhan as Agumon, etc. etc., with the one exception being Doug Erholtz - who apparently couldn’t pull off his TK voice so instead got cast as Daigo in Tri.
2. An effort was made to get back voice actors who haven’t had any roles to their names in years - at least, on sites on IMDB - to reprise their characters as well. So we got roles like Anna Garduno’s Palmon, Jeff Nimoy’s Tentomon, Laura Summer’s Patamon. The consistency even extends to some of the bit characters - Togemon, Birdramon and Angemon retain their actors even though they largely just have battle cries (The latter two were re-cast midway through for unknown reasons) - Beau Billingslea reprises Ogremon in Tri, even though all Ogremon does is grunt.
3. For lack of better place to put this - we know that casting didn’t reach out to actors who had officially retired, including Michael Lindsay, Michael Reisz and Joshua Seth - which is kinda fair- but the former two seemingly would have been interested in reprising had they been notified, and Joshua Seth had to reach out himself in order to reprise his role as Tai.
That all said, it’s clear whoever was in charge of casting made very deliberate decisions to retain as much former cast as possible even to surprising ends, to the point of getting back actors who had dropped out anime VA work. So it feels like whoever is casting has a pretty good knowledge about Digimon... until randomly, they don’t?
Several characters have new voices that feel like they couldn’t have possibly come from the way we knew them in the original Adventure and 02′s dubs. Joe, Kari and Davis have noticeably higher voices in their college years than they did when they were twelve. Gatomon’s original voice had catlike qualities to it, while her Japanese voice had one that made her sound more mature than the other Digimon, but Tri/Kizuna’s dub casts aside both of those and just goes for a ‘kinda cute‘ voice.
Brian Donovan and Neil Kaplan were set to reprise Davis and Hawkmon respectively before Covid complications made that impossible, and only Hawkmon’s new VA emulated the original actor while Davis’s new actor didn’t bring any of Donovan’s unique performance, so every line with Davis is noticeably, distractingly different.
Philece Sampler and Laura Summer don’t reprise Koromon or Tokomon despite already being cast in said dubs, and instead the two are played by men, which means they now have deeper voices than their immediate evolutions (and Tokomon just flat out has Gomamon’s voice).
And poor Armadillomon - somehow the casting director was aware of Hawkmon’s accent but not Armadillomon’s, so instead of a western accent - which should be extremely easy to replicate in some way - Armadillomon has this bizarre squeaky toy voice.
And lastly there’s Vic Mignogna as Matt - a completely baffling, unfitting casting decision until you realize that Tri’s Matt is literally just written as Digimon Fusion’s Christopher Aonuma, so it’s actually just a stealth reprisal and they clearly just wanted to protect Michael Reisz from such a horrible character assassination. (Hilariously enough, Nicolas Roye plays Matt much closer to Reisz’s portrayal than Mignogna’s, so puberty really did a number on Matt.)
This isn’t an attack on any of the actors or anything - even if there’s casting decisions I really don’t care for, everyone does a good job and in a vacuum I can see why they were cast (Except for Armadillomon - there’s no excuse for that). I just genuinely don’t think I’ve seen such a weird approach to casting before - get as much a original cast back so they sound like what fans know and love, and then cast everyone else without regard to the original dub or sub, throwing a dart to cast Tokomon and Koromon for good measure.
Since characters like Mimi (who’s replacement in Kizuna sounded nothing like Sampler) and Matt show they don’t entirely care about consistency, I hope they’ll bring back Donovan for what may be Davis’s last run in the new movie at least.

'You might expect a season finale to be shrouded in secrecy, with plot points and even the full cast list concealed so as to not to spoil viewers' enjoyment of the climax, but in fact it's the middle instalment of Doctor Who's "mini-season" of 60th anniversary specials that's proving to be the most mysterious.
Even before it aired on Saturday (25th November), we were familiar with the broad strokes of opening episode The Star Beast – an adaptation of the 1980 comic strip of the same name, featuring the cute but not so cuddly Beep the Meep, and reuniting the Doctor (David Tennant) with former companion Donna Noble (Catherine Tate).
We've also seen a fair amount come out around the trilogy closer, The Giggle – it'll feature the return of the villainous Toymaker, last seen on television way back in 1966 and now played by Emmy-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris.
Though not officially announced, trailer footage and interview teases have also pointed to appearances from UNIT, their leader Kate Stewart (Jemma Redgrave) and their scientist advisor Shirley Anne Bingham (Ruth Madeley).
But we know next to nothing about episode two, Wild Blue Yonder, which airs this Saturday (2nd December) – showrunner Russell T Davies has called it "weird" and "scary", but the brief plot synopsis that's been released is impressively vague: "The TARDIS takes the Doctor and Donna to the furthest edge of adventure. To escape, they must face the most desperate fight of their lives, with the fate of the universe at stake."
Besides Tennant and Tate, only one additional cast member has been confirmed – Susan Twist, who'll play a character named "Mrs Merridew".
The key art for the episode (see above) suggests the inclusion of a robot, though it's unclear whether it'll be friend and foe.
The trailer released shortly after broadcast of The Star Beast, meanwhile, also seems to delight in keeping things ambiguous, revealing only that the Doctor and Donna have landed in a mysterious space-age location, where they encounter "life signs" and are menaced by an unseen threat...
Doctor Who fans, of course, abhor a vacuum, so the lack of information about Wild Blue Yonder has sparked rampant speculation. Why the secrecy? What's being hidden?
Fan theories have included suggestions that the episode is set entirely within a TARDIS – with the Doctor's ship landing inside another time/space machine – or that all this cloak and dagger is concealing a huge surprise return, with names put forth including Carole Ann Ford as the Doctor's granddaughter Susan and Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor.
There's also a school of thought that the episode will feature an early appearance from Ncuti Gatwa's Fifteenth Doctor, and even Millie Gibson's new companion Ruby Sunday.
We know for a fact that the events of Flux, the Doctor Who series arc aired in 2021, will be dealt with "very slightly" in the episode, which has led fans to guess at everything from some involvement from The Division to a story set during "the Dark Times" (an age of chaos and monsters that predated the Doctor's reality).
To be clear, all of this is just guesswork at this point. In fact, Tom Kingsley, director on Wild Blue Yonder, has sought to play down the rumours while acknowledging that the plot is "a TOTAL SECRET".
Describing the episode as "weird and exciting", he added: "Fan PSA: the story of Wild Blue Yonder isn’t a secret because there are any surprise returning actors or villains. It’s just because we thought you might find it fun to watch it without knowing what’s going to happen next. Promise!"
Couldn't that rationale apply to any other episode, though? Adventures that weren't/aren't being kept under wraps to the same degree?
Perhaps the biggest clue we have to latch on to comes via David Tennant. Speaking to Total TV Guide, he said: "The second script is unlike any Doctor Who I’ve ever seen.
"I don’t want to give too much away, but I was always aware of the casting that was going to be part of the episode. That was something that Russell was very specific about. I just didn’t imagine it would… manifest itself in the way that it does..."
Could this piece of casting be the cause of all the covertness? If we take director Kingsley at his word that Tennant and Tate will be the only series veterans appearing, then perhaps it's not a returnee we should be expecting but some other familiar face – a big name actor whose casting is yet to be announced? Or just a particular type of performer?
Clearly, whoever it is, or whoever they are, said casting has a significant impact on the plot...
"I love humans," the Eighth Doctor once commented. "Always seeing patterns in things that aren't there," - it does feel, however, as though something is definitely afoot here.
Just three days to wait until the exact nature of that secret is revealed...'

Black Betty Café
First things first, Amanda and I checked in to our hotel. Then, we quickly searched for coffee shops nearby and found Black Betty, a cute shop. We got the vegan lasagna which was amazing.
Bonus, this is around the corner from where Matt, our friend from Davis, works! So he got to stop by and say hi!

Until dawn request: how would the until dawn characters react to a very angry and mean reader but then gets nice and calm/chill when they're with Sam
Sureeeeee. So sorry this took so long please forgive me 🥺😭💕 Decided to add Hannah and Beth as an apology💗
Until Dawn Character Reactions
Sam's Hot-Headed!GN!S/O
Pre-Game
~~
Josh Washington
Can't stand your attitude
Really hates how snappy and rude you are
Super confused as to why in the world Sam, would chose somebody like you
Then he sees how you are around Sam and likeeeee?????? Huhhhhh?????
The whiplash you give him is astounding
I mean how do you go from, meanest person ever to, super sweet and nice so fast?????
He'll never understand you and Sam's relationship but you clearly make her happy so he won't question it
Chris Hartley
Chris is probably a lil afraid of you to be honest💀
He once made the mistake of trying to chat with you without Sam nearby and you nearly bit his head off💀💀💀💀
Ever since then he's been warey of you when Sam's not around to calm you
He enjoys your company when Sam is there but without her he'd rather stay out of your way
Ashley Brown
Ashley just views you as a 'sometimes-nice' version of Emily
She's not a big fan of you, even when Sam is around
Even if you're the sweetest person ever with Sam, Ashley can't get over how mean you are without Sam
Your personalities just don't mesh well
Matt Taylor
Matt always feels bad around you
He's just such a sweetheart and was trying to be nice to you due to his people pleasing tendencies
But you were so mean and aggressive towards him, he started crying🥺
When she found out, Sam made you apologise, you apologised for her, begrudgingly💀
But he's never really forgiven you for that🥺
Emily Davis
'FINALLY! A WORTHY OPPONENT! OUR BATTLE WILL BE LEGENDARY!' Is a good summary of this train wreck of a duo
Emily is already an angry and rude person and you just make it worse 💀
Snarky comments, dirty looks, arguments, theres always a negative vibe in the air when you two are in the same room
When she sees how chill you are around Sam she pretends to be unbothered and acts like she 'won' your several fights because she is always mean instead of it being 'occasional' like you but secretly, she's really jealous and upset.
I mean, having someone care about you so much they're the only thing that can calm you?
Emily hasn't had a relationship like that before, so she hides the jealousy and hurt with a smug and confident smile
Mike Munroe
Mike just thinks it's funny💀
He does tease you about how quickly your attitude changes when Sam is around
I think you two actually have a pretty good relationship
He doesn't take your rudeness or anger very seriously, meaning you get to be a tiny bit more laid back than normal
Jess Riley
Ugh, great! Another Emily! Just what she needed!
Yeaaaahhhhh, Jess doesn't love that
You and Jess get into arguments, but they are nowhere near as bad as yours and Emily's or Jess and Emily's
I'm sensing a pattern hereeeee
Beth Washington
Okay so we hardly know anything about Beth but I headcanon she is fairly outgoing and sarcastic meaning she would probably, accidentally, make a joke that upsets you without Sam nearby to calm you down
Causing you to lash out at her 💀
Obviously Beth didn't mean to make you mad so she awkwardly apologises
Yeah the awkward tension created that day has never faltered💀
Hannah Washington
Okayyyyyyyyy soooooooo....
Kinda conflicted honestly?
She's happy for her best friend for finding someone and thinks how quickly you switch when Sam is around is cute
But she also thinks your actions and attitude when Sam isn't nearby are incredibly hurtful and rude so she can't really say she's a big fan of you

Jeju Island: Woljeong Beach
Today we made the journey to Jeju Island, the second of our four Korean destinations (Gyeonju, Jeju, Busan, Seoul).
In the morning we packed up at the mini hotel, Stephen walked over and got everyone tickets in advance at the bus station (a good thing because the 8:40 sold out and we were able to get tickets on the later of our two options, the 9:20), then we walked to get breakfast at McDonald's. Gil and Matt met us from the nearby GG hotel because they forgot to make their mini hotel reservations through Monday. Breakfast was pretty divine, between the two of us, Stephen and I had a hallabong (local citrus fruit) slushie, chicken and cheese McMuffin, hash browns, hot cakes, and coffee. Josh and Alexis joined, and after eating we all picked up our bags from our hotels and walked to the  intercity bus terminal to wait outside for our ride to Busan, where we’d then transfer to the airport to fly to Jeju. The bus was super nice bus with reclining leather seats and foot rests, curtains for the windows. It was a quiet hour ride to the bus station in Busan, followed by a short, Stephen-led walk to the train station, luggage in tow,  and finally two stops on the metro to the airport.
We had an easy, in-person check in for Jeju Air (except I got called back to the luggage security area because I left too many lithium batteries in my bag), and ultimately nobody had to pay extra despite a few of our bags being over the advertised 15 kilo weight limit. While we waited at the terminal, Alexis sipped on a sweet potato latte, I tried some grapefruit soda, and after queuing to board in an organized manner, we were all seated at the back of the plane together. It was a quick, hour long flight to Jeju Island, most of which offered ocean views and as we approached Jeju a vantage point of the entire island. Although not large, Jeju is home to Korea’s tallest mountain, Hallasan, which occupies the middle of the island with coastal cities to the north (Jeju City) and south (Seogwipo). The Jeju City airport was outrageously busy, it was probably the most chaotic and claustrophobic feeling place we went to in Korea.
While the others waited for our baggage, Stephen and I got started on the car rental process. With the help of Kheumhee and Davis, I had rented us a 9 seater Kia Carnival minivan from a korean company, Lotte Rent A Car. We took a shuttle from the airport to their Auto House, where it was busy but streamlined, especially since we were the only group in the “foreigners” line. (They make it difficult to book from abroad because you have to use a Korean system of payment, hence the help from Kheumhee).
While the check in was easy, it turns out a 9 person van is just a regular minivan with an extra fold down seat where the trunk (aka luggage!)  space would normally be. I think the pit of our whole trip was realizing were were going to have to fit 7 grown ass adults and their luggage in a 7 seater minivan. With Stephen’s international driver’s permit (which you can get at an AAA with your regular US driver’s license), he can’t operate larger 12 seater vans per Korea’s rules, so we were stuck with what we had. It was a good thing that the majority of the car was full of engineers because it certainly took some tight tetris-ing to get arms, legs, bags inside the vehicle. Although cramped, the car was a nice kia carnival otherwise and we made the 45 minute drive to our first destination, Wolji Beach, without incident.
Overall, the speed limit on the island feels ridiculously slow, with so many speed bumps and 30kph school zones through otherwise agricultural areas growing citrus fruits. We found out Stephen actually got a robo-ticket at one point, which he paid upon dropping off our rental car at the end of our trip.
Wolji Beach was a cute little beach town, I picked it as a lunch stop given it’s proximity to the Manjuggul lava caves. Unfortunately, we arrived mid afternoon so most restaurants were between their lunch and dinner hours. Matt and Devin bought some croissants at a bakery then we found a very small but trendy place open with only 4 menu items, all served on wood slabs: a hamburger, a pasta dish, American brunch, and French brunch plates. We were hungry so didn’t deliberate, and it ended up being pretty good if not a little pricy compared to most eateries. Of my brunch plate, the rosemary potatoes and roasted eggplant were the best part.
