A very basic, SPOILER FREE guide to understanding Evillious for casual fans
Basically this is exactly what the title says. This is a guide to understanding Evillious and what it’s about for people only casually interested in the series without A) presenting all of the information as confusingly as possible, B) exposing them to every single spoiler and plot twist in the narrative, or C) requiring someone to read hundreds of wiki pages or 13+ novels worth of story. Note that because I am reducing spoilers as much as possible, some of this information may be “incorrect” (as in, it presents information that’s given by the story as true, only to be later revealed as false).
Guide is under the cut. I will attempt to make this friendly for people with a poor attention span like myself but no promises.
Series Labels
First off, a break-down of the terms you’ll see fans throw around for the series and what they mean or are used for. This is not all-encompassing, but these are the most common you’ll see out there.
Evillious Chronicles/Evillious----This is the label that English-speaking fans use for the overall series. Note that this is, from what I can gather, an entirely fandom term, and is not used in any official capacity. Most Japanese fans will call it the 悪ノ series (the “of Evil” series).
Arcs----This is a fan term often used to refer to specific points in Evillious’ chronology where a song or novel takes place. Lunacy of Duke Venomania is “Lust Arc”, Evil Food Eater Conchita is "Gluttony Arc" Daughter of Evil is “Pride Arc”, Gift from the Princess who Brought Sleep and Fifth, Pierrot are “Sloth Arc”, Judgment of Corruption and Muzzle of Nemesis is “Greed/Wrath/Grath Arc”, etc.
Story of Evil/Daughter of Evil----While Story of Evil will sometimes be used to refer to Evillious as a whole, and in fact is the name of a children’s series mothy has written which does not take place in Evillious, generally when people use either of these terms they are referring to the events that take place in the “Daughter of Evil” songs. As a note, Daughter of Evil is the official name of mothy’s first novel series that adapts these songs (the series that begins with Cloture of Yellow).
Seven Deadly Sins/Deadly Sins of Evil----This is a term used to refer to the parts of Evillious that revolve around the deadly sin contractors and their actions in the classic songs by mothy--Daughter of Evil, Lunacy of Duke Venomania, Evil Food Eater Conchita, Gift from the Princess Who Brought Sleep, The Tailor of Enbizaka, Judgment of Corruption, and Muzzle of Nemesis. And more specifically, Deadly Sins of Evil refers to mothy’s second novel series that adapts these songs (and begins with Lunacy of Duke Venomania).
Original Sin Story/OSS: This refers to anything that takes place during Evillious’ chronological beginning. Note that while content relating to these events was released for a long time in songs and album booklets, it is only very recently that the novels adapting them were released, so some people discussing it may be referring to the former, but not the latter.
VOCALOID
The vast majority of characters in Evillious that you are likely familiar with from the songs are based off of VOCALOID characters in design, and “voiced” by them in the songs. Note though that multiple characters can be based off of the same VOCALOID, so fans will usually insist on referring to them by their character names rather than the VOCALOID that they are based on. Fans can usually tell who is who by context, but even without it, you can usually tell them apart by their unique clothing designs or specific hairstyles.
Setting
The series takes place primarily in a region called Evillious, on a continent called Bolganio. Evillious is roughly analogous to Europe, with many of its countries being counterpart to ones in the real world.
The most obvious ones are Lucifenia=France, Elphegort=Germany, Marlon=Britain, Beelzenia=Italy/Spain, Asmodean=Arabian Peninsula, Levianta=Russia. Note that Tailor of Enbizaka does NOT take place in Evillious, but rather a country to the far east called Jakoku. Jakoku=Japan.
For clarification’s sake, when I say Evillious, I am referring to the series as a whole, NOT the region in which most of the series takes place.
Evillious will share events in its history that are roughly analogous to those in our own world. The most clear-cut example is the events of Daughter of Evil, which mirror the French Revolution. However, Evillious’ history takes place in a compressed timeline--it spans the length of only one thousand years--and so there is much that is blended together or shifted around. Another clear-cut example of this is that the Age of Exploration is merged into the Victorian era during the events of Gift From the Princess Who Brought Sleep.
As the series covers 1000 years, there is a very large cast of characters and a huge set of political developments that are only barely touched on in the songs. Be advised--All but two of the main Seven Deadly Sin songs take place in completely different countries and time periods to each other (the exceptions being Judgment of Corruption and Muzzle of Nemesis).
Religion/Worldbuilding
There are a handful of belief systems in Evillious, but key for the setting (and for later plot developments) is the Levin faith. This religion has multiple branches, but it is, as might be expected, roughly equivalent to Christianity. ...Sort of.
The beliefs of the Levin faith describe the world as having been created by 4 main gods. The Earth God, Held (otherwise referred to as the Millennium Tree), the Sun God, Sickle, and the twin-headed dragon god, LeviaBehemo (or rather, the twin gods, Levia and Behemo). The most popular denomination of the Levin faith, the “Levia sect”, posits that LeviaBehemo is the only true god, and that all others are “false or evil gods”.
Bear in mind that all of these figures do genuinely exist in the world itself, even if their true nature is not as the Levin faith describes.
Also worth noting that in addition to their big 4 gods, there are also the 62 “god kin”, which exist in the setting as a collection of spirits that live under Held’s protection in the Millennium Tree forest in Elphegort.
The Levin faith posits that the world was created by the main gods as the third attempt at creating a paradise, the last two having been destroyed by malice/HER (we’ll get to that later). For this reason, the timeline of Evillious is referred to as the Third Period, with the previous two attempts being the First Period and Second Period.
Many fan guides will go into more detail on the First and Second Period, but this is huge spoiler content and absolutely unnecessary to understanding most of Evillious’ plot.
History
Disclaimer: You do not need to know ANY of this History section beforehand to understand the early books in the series or most of the songs.
Related to Evillious’ religion, its 1000 year history begins with what they call the Magic Kingdom Levianta (NOT the same thing as modern Levianta), which is roughly analogous to the Roman Empire, and the originator of the Levin faith. This kingdom was a highly advanced society run by magical individuals, with technology that was fueled by said magic. This technology came from relics found under the kingdom--these are said to be remains of the society their gods came from.
This is, for reference, the time period where Original Sin Story takes place.
At this time in their history Magic Kingdom Levianta was suffering from a problem with HER syndrome--short for Hereditary Evil Raiser. This is a genetic trait that hails from the Second Period, also sometimes referred to as Malice. Those born with it take joy in committing acts of violence and destruction, and generally sought to destroy society’s mores and norms (with a broader goal of destroying the world). Some key HER individuals in the series also express a desire to make more people like themselves through various means.
Levianta’s queen gave a prophecy that the world would be destroyed by the ark “Sin” (a vessel that the kingdom was built around) if they did not produce a set of twins for Levia and Behemo to incarnate into (referred to as the Twins of God). As a result, the senate created Project ‘Ma’ (Ma being short for Mem Aleph), which sought to use women with high magical potential to give birth to these twins.
The project failed. The only set of twins produced by it, named Hansel and Gretel, were taken away by their mother before Levia and Behemo could incarnate in them, and they become regularly occurring characters in the series. The twins were later kidnapped from their mother (who is herself killed) by a woman called Eve, a previous candidate in Project ‘Ma’. This act is referred to in-universe as the Original Sin, which later results in the formation of the Demons of Sin by Hansel and Gretel.
Magic Kingdom Levianta is eventually destroyed when the “Sin” ark blows up, setting back civilization by centuries and eliminating almost (but not quite) all of the population of people who are capable of and well-trained in using magic.
Demons of Sin and Magic
The Demons of Sin are presented as a collection of 7 demons that cause the major events of the Seven Deadly Sins songs by possessing the characters who carry them out (though they do possess other, less noteworthy people over the course of the series). They take the form of various monstrous animals in their “true” form, but their physical forms are actually the seven Vessels of Deadly Sin in which they reside. These vessels (which take the form of various objects such as a wineglass, a sword, mirrors, etc) are passed around by many, many hands over the course of the series, and show up frequently even if they are not the main demon of focus.
As you might expect, they correspond to each of the 7 Deadly Sins as detailed in the Bosch painting, “The Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Last Things” (with the Four Last Things relating to Evillious’ “ending”, which is an advanced spoiler concept there’s no need to go over.)
People can form contracts with them, which grant them special powers and immunities until the contract is broken. One of these abilities includes being able to transform into a being with features of the demon they are possessed by, such as having six wings or goat horns. While the demons are capable of influencing a person’s behavior, they usually do not outright control them save for in specific instances in the series, leaving most of these characters culpable for their own actions while possessed.
The magic rules of the series overall are a bit too complicated to go into in brief, but to get some idea of what it entails, there’s classic magic ideas like glyphs, rituals, and spells, as well spell-songs, body-swapping, enhanced physical abilities, homunculi, mind control, and reincarnation. Only a select few characters in the series can use magic (though many of them are main characters or protagonists), and the fantasy elements become sparser as Evillious modernizes (usually being replaced by soft sci-fi elements instead).
Ending
I won’t go into this much because it is, as the title suggests, the ending, but the world of Evillious does eventually get destroyed at the end of its one thousand years due to the actions of Nemesis, one of the Seven Deadly Sins characters. The actual destruction is not the ending--it’s what occurs afterwards that concludes the series.
Key Characters
I will not be making an exhaustive list on every important character in the series, because the cast is absolutely enormous, but here is a brief handful to give you an idea.
Eve: The “Original Sinner”--a sorceress who was responsible for kidnapping Hansel and Gretel, which is the catalyst behind the release of the Demons of Sin, and as such, most of the series events. Her story is a fair bit more complex than I’m making it sound (there are other characters, like Adam, who are equally if not more to blame), but this is the short version that you’re given through much of the series.
Elluka: A series-wide protagonist of the story. She is a sorceress from the Magic Kingdom Levianta who is functionally immortal, and seeks to collect the Vessels of Deadly Sin. She shows up in pretty much every major arc of the series.
Allen: Another series-wide protagonist, albeit a contentious one among fans. He has been in the series since the beginning, as he is the “Servant of Evil” in the Daughter of Evil series, but chronologically he was only present halfway through Evillious’ timeline. He doesn’t take an active role until later, but he witnesses much of the story’s events.
Seth: A scientist who is one of the main “villains” of the series, albeit one who is fairly inactive as an antagonist. He is responsible for the spread of HER in the Magic Kingdom, the creation of the Demons of Sin by Hansel and Gretel, and other things besides.
Irina/Red Cat Mage: Another series-wide villain, she serves as Elluka’s foil in that she is also a sorceress from Magic Kingdom Levianta who is functionally immortal and seeks to sow chaos and destruction using the Demons of Sin in every major arc of the series.
Narrative
The series can be described as a broad mix of science fiction and fantasy, generally aimed at teenagers in terms of its content level but varying wildly in terms of how light-hearted or dark it can be depending on each installment. Despite being generally non-graphic as a rule, it can cover an astonishingly wide range of upsetting topics including (but not limited to) rape, incest, parental abuse, cannibalism, body horror, genocide, and exploitation, so those who are of a sensitive disposition regarding the fiction they consume may wish to keep their distance.
In addition to the obvious point that almost all of the main cast are based heavily on VOCALOID characters, the series makes frequent use of cultural references to the Abrahamic faiths and European culture. Mothy himself is a Japanese Buddhist (at least, as I recall, he stated he was Buddhist on twitter once when asked his religion) who enjoys video games and anime, and his writing reflects that too.
In terms of order, there’s a lot of contention over which viewing/reading order is “best” for new fans to get into the series with. I personally have always pushed for release order--that is, the order in which mothy released his songs and published his novels. Evillious is at its easiest to understand in Daughter of Evil, the novel series released first, as the first two novels feature very little of the backstory, magic, or demons, and focuses instead on interpersonal relationships and political drama (drama which mirrors the French Revolution, and as such is relatively easy to understand as well). Things become gradually more complicated over time, allowing the reader to learn information organically as they get more invested, rather than dumping it on them all at once.
Many fans have argued that chronological order is best, largely on the basis that the release order of the series is not the chronological order. I strongly disagree with this. For reference, the chronological beginning of the series is the most recently released installment, so this wasn’t even possible to do for most of the series’ run.
In general though, there’s 60+ songs in the series, so don’t freak out if you don’t watch them in exactly release order. While the novels are pretty important to read in order, the songs were made with the assumption that people would miss some of them or view some before they were supposed to. Note though that there’s a handful of songs that require novel knowledge to know what’s going on (to list only one example, Handbeat Clocktower was made essentially to advertise Praefacio of Blue).
If you’re interested in more, [here] is a release order guide I have put together for this purpose. The novels are in italics.

Wait, people think Carver is the best TWDG villain?? I always thought he was basic as hell, and the fact that he was beefing with an 11-years old girl... Now Stranger on the other hand was great, he was super intimidating and off-putting and I was genuinely so scared he would hurt Clementine. I also liked Minnie for the same reasons (she was so creepy/off-putting), but I still think Stranger is the best villain bc he had a great setup while Minnie was kind of a secondary villain. But going back to Lilly/Carver, I also definitely prefer Lilly over Carver even though neither are my favorite... And now I'm kind of curious how you would rank the rest of the TWDG villains? 🤔
carver being the best villain is a sentiment ive heard for years 😭 im sure its coming from the "S2 is the best season" crowd tho which i also dont agree with 💀
the stranger is an effective villain. hes not exactly the typical villain type people expect. but hes very unsettling and him stalking clementine for who even knows how long through the walkie talkie is 🤢 he really makes me feel sick. she was using that talkie to deal with the loss of her parents, and this fucking creep took advantage of that so hard he was able to convince her to trust him. ugh he makes me feel so gross. and think of all the guilt clem must have about that situation. trusting this freak to help her find her parents, when if she had just stayed then lee wouldnt have gotten bit looking for her, and her parents were already dead the entire time anyway. oof. theres no way that isnt one of the biggest regrets of her life
carver is fine. i definitely think his character wouldve made more sense if they put kenny in that role instead. that way theres less "i am a grown man beefing with an 11 year old" and more "this is a child i helped look out for once, and im gonna make sure shes raised Right". but i agree that carver as he is is just over the top. overly villainous to the point of it being a little comical. like when villains are all tough like that my reaction is usually "god i WISH youd fucking kill me already so i dont have to hear your bullshit anymore do you know how GOOFY you sound??". if it was kenny in that role i definitely think they wouldve been able to tone it back a bit, and him "having a good side" wouldve been way more believable. as he is carver is kind of one note
joan.... definitely the weakest of the bunch. i dont really have much to say about her. david isnt even technically a villain but i definitely saw him as the better antagonist for the season. i mean hes definitely a villain in clems eyes. and is a constant semi-antagonist towards javi throughout the whole season. joans just kinda.. there.. doing things behind the scenes to cause conflict until the final confrontation. and then she can just disappear... okay
i like the way the antagonists work in S4. theres more of a discussion around what actually makes someone a villain and the difference between a person who fucked up and made (very horrible) mistakes, and a person who is straight up a threat. and i like that it connects back to the idea of lee and his murder of that senator. did he do something horrible? yes. did he destroy his relationship to his family? yes. does he regret what he did? i think so. and he definitely has guilt about his fucked up relationship with his wife. in S1 they mention how non-guilty people got sent to prison all the time. while lee is Definitely a murderer, we get to see over the season that hes a good guy who just wanted a family and in a moment of rage and betrayal did something he can never take back. this is why i never hated marlon. did he fuck up and do horrible things? of course. but he was a scared fucked up teen leading a group of other scared fucked up teens. he knows he fucked up, and continued fucking up to cover for his previous fuck ups lol. but he can be talked down. its a shame it ends the way it does, but i really like being able to teach aj the difference between people like marlon and people like lilly
lilly takes that kenny/carver idea and applies it to a clementine that has grown up and has been looking out for herself (and baby aj) for years now, instead of the 11 year old trying to figure shit out she was in S2. shes too old for lilly to be able to sway her in a way she couldve been more susceptible to in S2, and when lilly finally realizes this she just turns her attention to aj instead, seeing the potential in him (a potential clem does NOT want aj to live up to, wanting him to get to be a kid and not just a survivor, let alone a killer). lilly is fun because you can see in her that she WANTS clementine on her side, and throughout the season progressively realizes that its just never going to happen. both lilly AND clem come to the realization that this person they once considered family is beyond reason, their views too different, and so the fighting begins. their fight at the end of EP3 really feels like a "so its finally come to this" moment for both of them, their final fight. i always shoot her.
whats interesting about minnie is seeing her evolve from secondary antagonist in EP3 to straight up primary villain in EP4. the things shes done, the way shes been broken. she becomes her own downfall, seeing herself as someone beyond redemption. that this is just who she is now, its how things have to be. because if they didnt have to be this way? well then theres a lot more guilt she'd have to deal with. yelling at her in EP4 to just STOP FOR THE LOVE OF GOD YOU DONT HAVE TO DO THIS ANYMORE but she has been changed (in her eyes) so irreparably that she cant see any other option. and she progressively sees clem as the one who fucked everything up for her, instead of accepting that it could all finally be OVER. after killing sophie, the delta was all she had left. it cant have all been for nothing. and so she blames clem for taking it all away from her, even tho clem is just trying to protect her family. the family that used to be minnies. and so in her rage she gets bit. something else that she couldve avoided. but shes just too lost to her own downward spiral, unable to be reasoned with. by that point she just wants it all to be Over. and she wants to take tenn with her so she can finally pretend things can all go back to the way they used to be. her, sophie, tenn, and their parents all together again, where no more bad things have to happen to them. shes super tragic and i love her for that. and i love how she holds this dark mirror up to clem. clem struggles to let go of her past too, and the guilt she has over the things shes done and people shes hurt. and that if she cant learn to let go and move on she could get lost to it the same way minnie did. theres a reason clem is so quick to accept her fate, but shes finally able to leave that guilt holding her to her past behind in that barn. and she returns to ericson a much happier and lighter person, so much weight finally lifted from her shoulders. its finally over for her too
so yeah. my fave villains are definitely the S4 ones due to their nuance and layers. then the stranger, then carver, then joan. if i had to put david on this list he'd probably be above carver. but thats mainly because he has more nuance than carver ever did

what do you think about the concept of the comic kids stumbling upon ericsons instead of clem leaving?
It's a fine concept that I doubt anyone would actually implement into their fanworks because comic bad. Most fans are too pissy about the comics to see any further than the tips of their nose, and I totally get it but it's kind of unfortunate for me since it limits the discussions significantly. I can only hear the same, "the comics ruined Clementine and TWDG, Tillie Walden bad, Skybound bad," so many times before I'm so tired that I retire to my chair with a glass of tea to stare disappointedly into the great nothing and deteriorate.
So, for fun, some ideas to toss out there:
As I said in my previous post, Amos would love Ericson. The dude would be all over the place and determined to make as many new friends as possible. I think Olivia would enjoy it, too, and maybe Georgia wouldn't be a half-assed villain... or she could've been made into a great villain... just saying, Georgia could've gotten in good with Marlon, learned about the raiders, and then convinced him to trade Amos away as a means of keeping him away from Olivia. Though, she might not have anything to worry about in this case; I maintain that Amos would've had a major crush on Ruby.
But then we get to Ricca. Within the comics, her character falters due to being Clementine's main love interest. As a concept, Ricca isn't actually that bad. It's the execution and how she's portrayed as a love interest that makes me not like her, so if we remove that, she has a shot at being a compelling character... because we're not sending her to Ericson to be a love interest, or shove her into a love triangle/square with Clementine and Louis/Violet. I think she'd get along with most of the Ericson crew, except I think she'd really butt heads with Marlon and Mitch. I can see her getting on well with Violet, too. I know saying they're alike in a lot of ways could be considered as offensive by some sensitive fans, but they're both queer girls with religious backgrounds and familial trauma and I think it's okay to entertain the idea that they'd get along. Also, they both have snark to them that could easily be bounced back and forth... or at someone else. Probably Louis, or Amos.
And honestly bring everyone except Morro from Book Two to Ericson. Get John away from his abusive mother. Let Amir be friends with AJ, Tenn, and Willy and teach them to play new games and stuff. Emi could teach them better ways to fish and could even go on longer trips to bring back bigger hauls for the group. Fen would love the school setting and would search everywhere for different maps and information about Taiwan. Hell, bring Giles and Ginette, the old French couple who don't speak much English. Let them settle down with little Mercy at Ericson where they can teach everyone how to knit and build stuff and just be grandparents to all these troubled youth.
Yeah, the comics suck, but what's a fandom to do other than take things they don't like and change them to be something they do, yeah?

i FULLY agree with your disdain at people calling lbp3 the worst solely due to the glitches . the story imo is fantastic , the titans and newton being a genuinely compelling premise ! their visual design esp has captivated me for years . plus the additional characters and power ups make for very expansive room for level design that works very well in a fan-creation-centric series
i do wish , though , that more of the characters were as memorable as 1 and 2’s were . almost all the fanart i see is newton or marlon random , while i don’t remember ever seeing anyone discuss Papal Mache or Pinky . having fewer worlds that spend less up-close Character time with the curators i do think weakens it slightly , and i think it deserved better
!!!!! YESYES!!!!!!!
papal especially was one of my favourite characters, but it’s pretty disappointing when I don’t see anyone talking about him ☹️ mainly since he has just as much of an interesting character as Newton or Marlon, and he deserves it 😞😞,,,
PAY MORE ATTENTION TO THE OTHER CHARACTERS!!/silly
Sorry for answering this so late,, I kept forgetting,..,

A Correction
---
so my highly unscientific vibe check (in amongst these asks) of the B&W gym leaders wasn’t the wild stab in the dark I assumed it was; excepting the disservice I did to Brycen and Burgh. Here’s a quick remedy to that plus some asks below:
@geeneelee The ones with food names are triplets! And I think you’ve vibe checked most of them correctly more or less? There are a few misses, like the ice guy is kind of depressed and Burgh is a kind, flamboyant artist type. Not a smart ass, more a “fabulous darling yes more paint!!” kind of guy and I’m fond of him. Marlon had the distinction of being a jumbo who is my enemy. Also, Clay has nothing to do with them.
@penguinkiwi For the gym leaders adding onto what Geeneelee said; Brycen’s actually a pretty quiet dude in person though he is an actor so it would mostly depend on when the twins interacted with him ( on set vs off set ). As stated, Clay’s got nothing to do with the railway system, he’s actually a miner but theres probably common interest in tunnels and ground types (ie: Excadrill).
I honestly don’t know why the idea of the food boys being related didn’t occur to me - they’ve deffo got echoes of the eevee brothers from back in the day, just not as antagonistic.  Brycen’s super dynamic posing and sprites totally threw me; (plus that pic of him with the beartic honestly just made me laugh) The idea that he goes all in with his acting but is actually quite retiring in person is adorable.
Clay was definitely the owner of something; that cowboy hat is too conspicuous otherwise, but it was a swing and a miss on my part.
@quietlywatchingwritingreading asked: your takes: Burrggh: he's the bug trainer guy, and emmet and ingo both actually raise a lot of bugs. (emmet often gets tied with Joltik). he's also the painter, so yeah there could be some smugness. (His first gym was 'What if it was a beehive honeycomb filled with clowns'. His second gym was 'what if paint and giant spider eggs'.)
So you're not wrong but there's probably potential for Weird Bug Friend-rivals.
Clay has no ownership of the railroad but he is a gym leader so he might be in charge of public transit or some degree. (he's a fairly 'reasonable bootstraps leader' type character, and has a excadrill as his star. so he and ingo probably discuss their moles)
I think it goes hand in hand with the Satoshi Tajiri’s own passion for collecting bugs that so many of the bug type trainers are so enthusiastic about their bug friends. (looking at all those Bug catchers tryna check me with a caterpie)
Like with Brycen, I think Burgh’s screenshots didn’t do him any justice - after all there’s a fine line between being serving theatrical and smug. But I should’ve known better; those trousers do scream flamboyant art teacher.
quietlywatchingwritingreading To be fair, there is also a implication that the gym leaders own the towns they're in. Drayden at least is canonically also the mayor, but he's the only town we know of with a mayor. So they all might technically have control over the Public Transportation Budget.
The idea that all the gym leaders have a vested interest in the railway is sending me. Settling pay disputes with pokémon battles. GOD if I could just throw a raticate at management instead of filing a grievance. Pikachu at the picket line WHY IS THIS SO FUNNY??
Anonymous asked: My favorite fact about Clay that was lost in translation is that he's specifically a japanese businessman who moved to the states and dresses like a cowboy, so him managing the railways in unova would be so much funnier
Suddenly Clay’s fashion choices are even funnier, of course it’s a cowboy cosplay; HE’S A MINER WHY WOULD HE NEED LEATHER CHAPS? Tho I was halfway there I guess, something in my brain took one look at him and said ‘Oil Baron’
@embretheworld  asked: despite it being a guess, you got like pretty all of the personalities of the gym leaders spot on! the skyla part surprised me because she actually Does own a plane, she owns a whole airport. cilan, chili, and cress are actually triplets! they work at the same restaurant and in the anime cilan(cilantro?) knows the submas bros, trusts him with their train to some extent. clay's a miner and runs train tracks with carts but i think he owns a company but i don't know what it is. iris is the champion of the region in the second game at least and your like 100% right about her. in the anime cilan really like trains and since he knows the submas bros i like to think that when they were young/teens they probably helped train some of the younger gym leaders since there are a couple. but i think i rambled for too long its just fun to talk about the two and how i think they interact with other characters. hope this didn't bother you too much. have a good day/night!
I’m pretty blown away that it wasn’t just a complete whiff, especially Skyla - I was almost joking about the planes, but the more I thought about it the more I liked the idea of train/plane spotter solidarity.
I’ve pretty much got the image that the Submas bros just sort of sweep in and project their enthusiasms until they’ve collected a little band of equally passionate people who can meet their energy halfway regardless of the topics.
It’s a pretty interesting idea to think that the twins could probably easily be gym leaders in their own right; but rather they’ve waived that in order to follow their true passion of the Battle subway. Makes sense then that they might have had a hand in raising some of the current leaders given how stringent their challenge is.
A good night/day to all of yous too!

Not sure if you're still doing TWDG stuff, but could you do the Ericson group and the Garcia reacting to Clementine being tortured by another group and talking care of her?
oooo here we go with the angst (ima do just the teen characters and not the kids for the Ericson kids). Here’s a little intro to ~set the scene~:
this is also gonna be so long guys oops I’ve been working on this for WEEKS so I really really hope enjoy it ;-; this is a long one so buckle up
Clementine didn’t know what had happened. One moment, she was fighting off Delta members/Raiders breaking into Ericson/Richmond territory, next thing she knew, she had a weapon to the back of her skull and darkness. The next four days were hell. She knew they were waiting for Ericson/Richmond to arrive - to capture more or to demand some type of blackmail - but they had already discussed this before. Under no circumstances were they to wager anything in exchange for her. She would find her own way out. Then, in the midst of a boat leak, Clementine managed to hobble away in the midst of the chaos. Swimming through water to reach land was difficult with a broken arm, and her cuts burned from the salt. She was coated in cuts, bruises, scars, and a black eye. She had a limp, and was positive her arm was certainly broken, or at the very least sprained. All she had left to do was find a way to wobble home; a task that took hours, her soaked body shivering in the cold night air.
Marlon: Marlon felt his heart stop when he heard palms slam against the front gate. It always caused a spur of panic, but spotting Clementine clinging to the gate, attempting to stand upright, he dropped everything he was holding. “Guys!” he screamed. He knew that’s all it would take to get everyone there. He fumbled with the key and ripped the gate open. “Louis, close it,” he pleaded, taking Clementine in his arms and pulling her inside. He clutched her as she crumbled to the ground, cradling the girl in his arms. “Where's Ruby?” “She’s on her way,” Mitch assured, looming over his shoulder. “Get her here faster!” He begged. He immediately attempted to identify all of her wounds, wanting to get her to treatment as quickly as possible. He clutched her, watching her writhe in pain, feeling his heart ache as they desperately awaited help.
Louis: Louis was on morning watch. In fact, he had hardly left his post since Clementine went missing. How could he focus on anything else? He just wanted her to come home. Alive. When he saw a figure sliding closer in the morning fog, he tensed, raising the bow-and-arrow Marlon had lent all shift workers in case Delta came back. But then, he saw the limp, the hand gripping their right arm, and the hat. The hat. “Clem?” He called. His heart sank as she drew closer. That was when he finally noticed her condition. She had been brutalized. “Clem! Oh my god,” he rushed to her side, sweeping his arms around her. “Ruby! Someone get Ruby! Now!” Faintly, she began to slink toward the ground, Louis clutching her tightly as he eased her down, cradling her in his arms. “Clem, please stay with me okay?” He could feel his throat slowly closing. “Please. Help is coming.” In the passing days, Louis never left her side, even sleeping on the floor of her room to ensure she was kept safe and was not sought out again by the Delta.
Violet: Violet twirled her hand axe around out of boredom, wandering back and forth around the perimeter on patrol. “Anything?” Louis called from the watchtower. “What do you think?” She tossed back. Louis suddenly went silent. “Woah woah,” he tapped the railing of the watchtower. “Violet, ahead.” Violet wandered back to the front gates, squinting, then dropped her axe. “Holy, shit.” She fumbled with the lock. “Louis, get down here.” “Is it bad?” He asked, sliding down the ladder. “It’s Clementine.” Louis said nothing, just darted after her. Violet threw the gates open, running up to Clementine and wrapping her arms around her. “Oh my God I thought I lost you,” Violet gingerly took Clementine’s weight as she fell into her, unable to hold herself up anymore. “Come on, Clem. You’re safe now, I got you.” Louis stood behind them, ensuring they were both okay. “I’ll go get Ruby,” he whispered, breaking into a sprint.
Mitch: “Stay back!”  Mitch called, aiming toward the strange figure lumbering toward the front gates. His fingers tightened, ready to fire, but the instant he heard the faint “Wait,” called out to him, the arrow shot into the ground beside him, dropping his bow. “Clementine?” All he heard was a small sob. In one swift motion, he opened the lock and pushed the gate open, rushing to her side. He gingerly took her elbow in his hands, studying her bruised and bloody face. “Clem,” his voice was breathy, attempting to hide the swelling tears. Clementine stumbled, pushing her weight fully into him. Quickly, he wrapped his arm around her back, propping her upright. Without thinking twice, he lifted her into his arms and pulled her inside. Marlon was standing by the open gates, first confused, then horrified. “Get Ruby. Now.” Marlon listened immediately, closing the gate the moment Mitch wandered inside. Gently, he started for the building, not wanting to jostle her too much. All he could do was stare down at her, eyes swelling, and heart breaking.
Aasim: Aasim was finishing the clean-up from dinner, exhausted and ready for bed. The instant her heard screaming outside, he dropped everything and hesitantly made his way to the front door, peeking nervously outside. He saw Louis, Violet, Marlon, and Mitch slowly approaching the gate, quickly opening and closing it. They were screaming for everyone, but specifically for Ruby. Aasim pushed the door open, making his way down the steps cautiously, until he spotted the familiar hat and hair. “Clem?” He breathed, stunned. Was he dreaming? But seeing the panic in Louis’ face and the tears on Violet’s cheeks, he knew he wasn’t. She was laid down on the ground and he quickly scurried to their side. “Oh my God, what happened to her?” “Delta.” Mitch spat, venom practically falling from his lips. Aasim could feel his gut twist. She was whimpering and shaking. She clearly had a broken arm, along with blood and bruises littering her body. He felt sick. How could someone do something like this?
Ruby: Ruby was waiting in the study, flipping through another dusted, aged book, when she heard the emergency bill ring from outside. She threw it to the side - practically across the room - and darted outside. The moment she got out, Luis was fumbling to open the gate. “Louis? What are you,” her voice trailed off into the night when he guided Clementine into the gates, limping and swaying into him. “Christ,” she mumbled under her breath. “Set her down over there!” Ruby called, pointing to one of Ericson’s picnic tables. “Tell someone to grab my med kit.” While calling out commands, she tore her jacket off, laying it down on the bench. The moment Clem was placed on it, she wrapped it around her in an attempt to keep her warm. “Clem? Clem, han gon, okay? I’m gonna patch you up, hun.” She felt like one of her little ones had been hurt.
Omar: Omar hated guard duty, but always passively took his role. He normally wanted to cook, clean, and head to bed early. But the second he spotted a figure approaching the gates, any exhaustion he felt vanished. He rang the alarm bell, alerting the group to an intruder's presence. “Stand back,” he said, aiming Marlon’s bow-and-arrow in their direction. “Stay,” his voice trailed off, and suddenly the bow-and-arrow clattered to the ground. “Clementine?” The question rang through the courtyard, and every Ericson kid that was walkling burst into a spring. Omar started fumbling with the lock. “Guys, help!” he yelled over his shoulder. The second the door was open, he gingerly took Clementine’s shoulders and escorted her inside. Marlon made sure to immediately lock the gate behind them, and Ruby came to aid in helping her walk. “Ruby, bring your stuff to this table.” Omar insisted. He knew they didn’t have time to bring her inside.
Brody: All Brody heard was yelling at the front gates. But by the time she stumbled out of Ericson’s front doors, she knew why. Someone was clinging to the front gates and Marlon was frantically trying to unlock it. “Oh my God, Clementine?” Her voice was breathy and lost as she fumbled down the steps, then darted to the front gates with all the speed she had in her. “Clem?” She was alive. Somehow, she had made it. “Oh my God!” She was thrilled, but the moment she drew closer, she noticed what bad shape she was in. Marlon and Mitch guided her inside and Brody darted up to her, holding her beaten face between her palms. “Clem, what did they do to you?” She could feel the tears welling in her throat. “We got you. You’re gonna be safe. You’re gonna be fine.”
and now the Garcias:
Javier: Javier paused, his heart stopping as he saw commotion at the gate. Drawing closer, he saw one of the Richmond members working security guiding Clementine inside, beaten and bruised. “Clem?” He asked, breathless. He couldn’t feel his legs, but regardless he ran. “Clementine!” He wailed. He swatted the guards away. “I got her, I got her,” he was breathless, both from terror and the run. “Clem? Clementine?” He said, clutching her shoulders. She groaned at the pressure it placed on her arm. Swiftly, he scooped her into his arms, bringing her close to his chest. “Hang in there, okay? I’m taking you to Eleanor.” His heart was racing, but he didn’t care. The burning in his legs didn’t matter. He just needed her to be okay. “Please, please don’t leave me.” He begged, hearing her whimpers of pain.
Kate: “Javi, what’s happening?” Javi stood speechless, staring toward the front gates. Hesitantly, he gestured. Kate turned, spotting two guards hauling Clementine’s weak, frail body inside. Kate clutched Javi’s arm, keeping her from falling over. She felt like the earth had been ripped out from under her feet. “Oh my,” she cut herself off as she started to run, her panicked sigh morphing into a scream. “Clementine!” She could tell the whole town probably heard her, but she didn’t care. She tripped over her feet as she ran, immediately placing her hands on her cheeks when she got close. “Oh Clem,” she heaved through gasps and tears. “Oh honey, what did they do to you?” Clementine could only whimper. Kate swatted the guards away, taking the teen into her arms and kneeling to the ground. “I’m here. I’ll stay with you until Eleanor arrives.” She flipped around, desperately hoping someone was fetching her. Luckily, the panicked stares of residents her way confirmed that. All she could do was hold Clem and cry.
David: “Approaching!” One of the guards yelled. “Aim,” David said passively, making his way up the stairs to study the threat. The moment he spotted the teen, limping toward the gate, clutching her arm, he broke into a sprint. “Call Eleanor, now.” he demanded, racing down the stairs. “Open the gates!” he screamed, darting as fast as he could toward the front doors. Just as they were barely opened, he slipped through. As Clementine began to collapse, he jumped forward and grabbed her. “Hey, hey, come here,” he flipped around. “Where is the medic?” His voice was hoarse from screaming. Once this was all over, he was going to demand a faster protocol. Swiftly, he picked her up, his heart stinging as she whimpered and cried. “It’s all over now,” he hushed. “We’re gonna get you patched up, just hang tight.” He broke into a sprint, keeping the teen close to ensure as little jostling as possible. “We need a fucking medic!” He refused to lose another daughter.
Gabe: Gabe heard a commotion near the front gates and knew something was up. By the time he could spot the gate, he could see two people on watch-duty hauling someone instead, weak and dragging their feet against the dirt. He squinted, slowly wandering closer, until he spotted that familiar hat. His heart fell into his stomach. “Clementine!” He broke into a full sprint, his legs numb by the time he reached them. “Oh my God, what the hell happened to you?” Clementine just groaned. The guards passed her immediately to him, knowing they needed to get back to their post. “Hey hey,” quickly, he wrapped his arms around her: one around her back and one around her head. “I’ll fix this, okay?” He quickly flipped around, kneeling to the ground so she could rest. “Eleanor!” He screamed. “Someone get Eleanor, now!” He refused to leave her side until medics arrived. Until then, he brushed at her hair and held her close, only wanting to keep her calm.

A Better Model Swapping Tutorial for The Walking Dead: The Definitive Series
As the title of this post says, I have had the pleasure to discuss modding [and more specifically model swaps] with some clever cookies recently and I have learned that the old method I was using to make model swaps and texture edits appear in-game is obsolete and there are much easier and simpler methods.
And for whoever is still lurking here, I figured it would be a disservice to not provide information on this easier method for others who stumble across this post (or the old tutorial I made).
For this method, you can use Telltale Explorer to open your archives and look at files, and optionally a Bulk Renaming program to speed up renaming files, and optionally the Telltale Script Editor to compile your file changes into an easy to install/uninstall mod file.
The basic process to making a model swap involves 3 steps, with a few extra steps if you want to go beyond:
Finding the files associated with the character we want to swap in
Renaming a character’s files in a manner that causes the game to load them instead of another character
Putting the renamed files back into the game
(optional) Tweaking the swap to have it fit better or correct errors
(optional) Building it into a mod file
In order to get a swap to work correctly, you need to understand a few basic file types that we’ll be dealing with:
d3dmesh : These are the meshes, in very simple words they are the 3D shapes that make up the objects and characters within the game
d3dtx : These are the textures for the meshes
skl : The skeleton of a character which is needed to make animations work correctly
ptable : The emotion table that determines which animations to load on a character’s face
anm : The animation information for all of a character’s movements
The trickiest part is finding the appropriate files amongst all of the game files, and then also renaming them in a manner that does create the end result we are looking for. To begin, let’s decide on what swap to do and figure out where to find the files we need.
===
**Added content for people want an example of a swap that is tailored more to the specific season you want to swap in**
Season 1 or Season 2 example - a swap where Ben overwrites Lilly Season 3 example - a swap where Mariana overwrites Gabe Season 4 example - a swap where Marlon overwrites Minerva Cross season example - a swap where McCarroll AJ overwrites Lee in Season 1
===
For this swap let’s try to take Vince from 400 days and turn him into our playable character in Season 1 Episode 1.
Before we start, we should make a folder somewhere on our computer and simply name it “Vince Files” – this is where we will place all the files we find associated with Vince for this swap and then rename them.
1. Finding the Files
To begin, we need to boot up the Telltale Explorer. In the upper left corner of the explorer window, you can select to open up any Telltale game archives. Either use the drop down menu to select The Walking Dead > The Definitive Series, or simply select the “open file” button at the top of the menu. In either case the “open” window will appear and you will have to navigate to the install directory of your game, and then into the “Archives” folder within it.
Since Vince appears in the 400 days episode of Season 1, all of his unique files can be found in the following three archives:
WDC_pc_WalkingDead106_anichore.ttarch2 – all of the anm files will be in here WDC_pc_WalkingDead106_data.ttarch2 – the ptables and skl files will be in here WDC_pc_WalkingDead106_txmesh.ttarch2 – the d3dmesh and d3dtx files will be in here
Open “WDC_pc_WalkingDead106_txmesh.ttarch2” to start looking through the files. In this ttarch2 we can find all of the meshes and textures in the 400 days episode. You can now type in “vince” in the search bar in the upper right and the Telltale Explorer will only show you files with that search term.
Tumblr media
Clicking on any of the d3dtx files (shown with the paintbrush icon) will show you the flattened texture on the right panel. Now that we have less files to look at, click the “Save All Files”, then select “Save all visible files (raw dump)”. A window will pop up asking you where the explorer should save the files – direct the explorer to the “Vince Files” folder you made earlier and allow the explorer some time to save all the files.
If we now go to this folder and look through some of Vince’s files.
Right away we can delete the files that start with “obj” – these are objects and not related to our swap. We can also delete the files beginning with “ui” – these are UI elements that aren’t related to our swap. Here is what we should be left with:
Tumblr media
Looking through what is left, we can see Vince has a few versions – most notably, we can see he has two meshes: sk54_vince.d3dmesh sk54_vinceCh6.d3dmesh The first file is Vince when he’s on the prison bus, whereas vinceCh6 refers to Vince at the group camp at the end of the 400 Days story. We need to decide which version of Vince we want for our swap – in this case, let’s choose Vince in the casual clothes seen at the end of 400 days. What we need to do now is remove all the files that don’t relate to the mesh we’re going to use. Once we remove everything, we should be left with something like this:
Tumblr media
This is everything we’re going to need from the WDC_pc_WalkingDead106_txmesh.ttarch2, so next we need to go back to Telltale Explorer and open up “WDC_pc_WalkingDead106_data.ttarch2”.
We follow the same process as we did before in the txmesh archive. Type “vince” into the search bar, then “Save all visible files (raw dump)” and put it into the same folder where we previously dumped our files.
Of the files we just added to our folder of Vince Files, we can immediately delete all of the “prop” files and “style” files – if you sort the files by “type” in your folder, it should be easy to single out these files and remove them.
After we’ve removed the unnecessary files, we should be left with just these files from the data files:
Tumblr media
Notice how we have two skl files – we only want to use the skl connected to the mesh we are using, so we can also remove the “sk54_vince.skl” from this folder.
This is everything we need from the  WDC_pc_WalkingDead106_data.ttarch2, so let’s move on to the final archive, “WDC_pc_WalkingDead106_anichore.ttarch2”.
Once again, it’s the same process as the other files – open the anichore archive in Telltale Explorer, type “vince” into the search bar, then “Save all visible files (raw dump)” into the Vince Files folder.
This is where we need to be the most discerning in which files need to be deleted or kept for our swap to work – but to significantly cut out a big chunk of the files at the start, we can remove ALL of the files with the “chore” file extension. None of those matter for swapping – we only want to deal with the “anm” files.
We can then also delete all the animations that begin with the prefixes “cam” and “obj”. We’re not trying to swap any camera movements or object movements, so they’re all unnecessary to keep around.
From here we essentially want to delete anything based on specific moments in the game, but keep animations related Vince’s emotions, facial/head movements, and phonemes.
This means we can delete all the anm files that start with “sk54_action” or “sk54_vince_sk54_action” – those are animations related to specific actions in the story that aren’t going to pop up during our swap, so they’re absolutely not needed.
We can also safely delete all the files beginning with “sk54_bennett”, “sk54_dan” and “sk54_justin”. These are the animations of other characters interacting with Vince – so they are not needed.
Now that we’ve removed most of the unnecessary files, we need to more carefully look at the file names and ask ourselves “is this an animation that could happen in my swap?” and if the answer is no, then we delete it. Also, we need to think about if the way an animation plays out will overwrite something and make it appear wrong. In our case, the game starts with Lee in handcuffs in the back of the police car – and we have animations of Vince in the police bus with handcuffs on. We specifically don’t want these files to be in our swap because the way Vince moves about in a bus will not be the same way Lee moves around in the car, using Vince’s files are likely to make scenes at the start of the game appear buggy.
After culling all the files I thought were unnecessary, I have been left with:
Tumblr media
Now our Vince Files folder has everything we need to start renaming them.
2. Renaming
*NOV/2023 Section edited - reworded this part to hopefully fix some common errors For people new to model swapping, it is recommended you try to manually rename files until you are more familiar with what needs to be renamed.
In the end of this section I cover how to shortcut the renaming using a Bulk Renaming program - this is only recommend for people who have successfully created a swap before.
First, before we try to rename anything, it is important that we know the naming conventions of our “target” character we are overwriting. Using Telltale Explorer, try opening up the archives for the intended episode your swap takes place in, then search the name of the character you want to overwrite.
In this case, since we are going to overwrite Lee with Vince, I can open up either the episode 1 archives, or the ProjectSeason1 archives to get a better idea of what our renamed files should look like:
Tumblr media
(not all information is shown in this screenshot - this is purely for demonstration purposes)
If this is your first time doing a swap, you may want to regularly come back to look at these files to make sure you rename things correctly in our exported folders. Our priority in this step is to rename our meshes, the character’s skeleton, their ptable files, and some of their animation files so they load instead of our target.
Most files are named something like this:
sk(xx)_(character name)(file information) (character name)_(file information)
And for some characters with alternative appearances depending on the episode:
sk(xx)_(character name)(identifier)(file information) (character name)(identifier)_(file information)
What we need to do ensure is that our swap has the correct number following instances of “sk”, the correct “character name”, and to make sure we use an “identifier” if necessary.
For this particular swap, both Vince and Lee use “sk54”, so we don’t need to make changes in that area for our files.
We want to rename our extracted meshes to overwrite Lee’s meshes in the archives, like so:
sk54_vinceCh6.d3dmesh    >    sk54_lee.d3dmesh
But looking at the archives we can see that Lee has more than one mesh that he uses in episode 1, and this is a problem for our swap if we stop here. If we don’t overwrite ALL of the mesh files that Lee would use for the duration of our swap, the game will still load those other meshes as normal while only part of our swap takes place.
To fix this, we have to take our one d3dmesh and copy+paste it until we have enough meshes in our Vince Files folder so we can overwrite all of the Lee meshes that will appear in the duration of our swap.
Ergo, we end up creating something like this:
sk54_vinceCh6.d3dmesh >    sk54_lee.d3dmesh                                           >     sk54_lee_armL.d3dmesh                                           >     sk54_lee_armR.d3dmesh                                           >     sk54_lee_body.d3dmesh                                           >     sk54_lee_bodyStomachGutted.d3dmesh                                           >     sk54_lee_head.d3dmesh                                           >     sk54_lee_legs.d3dmesh
Alternatively, you could create a 0kb “fake” d3dmesh to overwrite superfluous mesh slots.
All you have to do is make a text document (or empty file, it doesn’t really matter) then rename it to whatever we want, followed by changing the file extension to “.d3dmesh”. It’s likely you’ll get a popup asking if you want to change the file extension – click yes, and tadah! You have a 0kb mesh file.
Tumblr media
You can do this with any files you want to not load in your game. It effectively makes your game decide to load nothing instead of what it should load in the normal situation.
We follow the same naming convention with our .skl file and rename like this:
sk54_vinceCh6.skl >   sk54_lee.skl
And again for all of the ptables, such as:
sk54_vinceFearC.ptable >   sk54_leeFearC.ptable
For the ptables, Lee clearly has far more files than we have extracted for Vince, and Vince may also have some ptables with emotion names that don’t overlap cleanly with how Lee’s are named.
If this is your first attempt at doing a swap and you don’t mind your character not always lip-syncing or emoting correctly so long as they visually look correct - you can simply rename what we have and move on.
However, if you want to tweak this and improve it, I go into more detail later in this tutorial on how to improve the facial animations and emoting of our swap.
We can also rename our some of our .anm files here if there is a clear alternative for it to overwrite. In season 1, this will primarily mean doing things such as this:
sk54_idle_vinceFearC.anm >   sk54_idle_leeFearC.anm
HOWEVER - we do NOT want to rename any of the phoneme files.
AND we do NOT want to rename any of our texture files.
We need those files unaltered if we want a “normal” looking swap. Renaming the phonemes is unnecessary, and renaming the textures will cause the meshes to load the wrong texture.
This should be all the basic renaming you need to do.
But if you are more confident in renaming and skipped to find the shortcut method...
Here is the point where if you have a Bulk Renaming program, it can make your life a lot easier – otherwise, you’re going to have to rename files manually. For those people who use the link I provided to the Bulk Renaming Utility, if the amount of buttons and input areas seems a little bit daunting, we only really are interested in these bits (I have already renamed my files in this screenshot):
Tumblr media
For convenience's sake, I press that heading on the right to sort the contents of the folder by file type.
For this particular swap, both Vince and Lee use “sk54”, so we don’t need to make changes in that area for our files. And while Lee does have identifiers in future episodes, in episode 1 he does not. Therefore, we can simply type into that little replace window on the Bulk Renaming Utility to replace instances of the word “vince” with the word “lee”.
Now we need to highlight the correct files in our folder and hit the Rename button in the bottom right when we’ve highlighted everything. We can highlight the files by simply clicking on the file in the upper window, and holding Shift or Ctrl while clicking on other files we want to add to our selection.
As for what files are the correct files to rename… we want to rename everything in this folder EXCEPT for the phoneme anm files, and the d3dtx files. We still need these files for later, but we need them in their unaltered form.
I will repeat DO NOT RENAME the files with the .d3dtx file extension - it will cause the models to load the wrong texture. Only rename these files if that is your intention.
After you’ve renamed all of those files, we still have some more fiddly things to deal with inside that folder, but we can stop using the Bulk Renaming Utility now, so feel free to close it.
Remember how we were using the d3dmesh and skl named “sk54_vinceCh6”? We need to open our Vince files folder and check that those files are renamed in a manner that they will overwrite Lee’s files in the swap we’re making. And because I used the Renaming Utility, they are currently named like this:
sk54_leeCh6.d3dmesh sk54_leeCh6.skl
This won’t work in our swap because Lee’s d3dmesh and skl files in season 1 look like this:
Tumblr media
So if we want our swap to actually appear instead of Lee, we need to name the files in our folder in the same way so that Lee’s files get overwritten. This means that for episode 1 we want to  change the “sk54_leeCh6.skl” file into “sk54_lee.skl”
3. Putting the files into the game
So this is the main reason I remade this tutorial, because what was once a very hard and frustrating part of this process that required you to make backups and ttarch2 archives actually has some very simple other methods to achieve.
Here is the easiest method…
All those files in your Vince Files folder (both the renamed and unaltered), select all of them inside that folder, right click and select copy. Now navigate to your game’s directory (the location where the game was installed) and open the “Archives” directory inside there. Paste your copied files here.
That’s it.
If you boot up your game now, you should be able to see if your swap was successful. You can check in the character viewer, or if you go into the season 1 menu, you should clearly see Vince has replaced Lee on the episode 1 slide.
Tumblr media
But if you play for a little bit, you might notice some… oddities with the lip syncing and facial animations. Or perhaps you simply look at Vince’s clothes and recall a different texture being in the archives when you were using the Telltale Explorer and would rather see Vince wearing that.
Or you’re happy with the basic swap as it – if that’s the case, you can carry on and enjoy it as is – but if you want to make changes to your swap and improve the animation situation, then you can carry on to the next section.
4. Tweaking the details (optional)
How to switch textures:
You might have noticed that Vince has two body textures related to his sk54_vinceCh6.d3dmesh.
One is “sk54_vinceCh6_body.d3dtx”:
Tumblr media
And the other is “sk54_vinceCh6_bodyALT.d3dtx”:
Tumblr media
If we want the lower option to appear in our swap instead, we can simply delete the other texture from our folder of copied-over files, and rename “sk54_vinceCh6_bodyALT.d3dtx” into “sk54_vinceCh6_body.d3dtx”. Using the Telltale Explorer, you can find the single file you want and select to save it as a “raw” file to use without doing a bulk dump of everything.
Or, we can get creative and see what happens. Looking through other files using the Telltale Explorer, I stumbled on one of Russel’s textures that I thought might be an interesting alternative:
Tumblr media
This texture is called “sk54_russellCh6_body.d3dtx”, and you’ll notice how the textures have a mostly similar layout with the exception of the shoes. If we decided to rename this file and it’s associated detail, normal map, and spec d3dtx files, we could overwrite the textures that would normally load on Vince’s mesh.
Basically, by replacing Vince’s files like this:
Tumblr media
We can create changes like this:
Tumblr media
It isn’t a perfect match, we can clearly see the texture seams on the inside of the pants and how the texture doesn’t line up on the shoes – but this is the potential method to apply texture changes between meshes.
How to improve the facial animations:
An issue with the swap we have performed thus far is that Vince’s face only emotes and lip syncs sometimes. This is because Vince only has a few unique ptable files and animations that we could find in the 400 Days archives, thus most of Lee’s ptables and animations have been left unaltered and are not compatible with Vince’s character – therefore his face defaults to a blank stare.
What Vince uses for the rest of his animations and ptables are rehashed from Glenn. Knowing this, what we need to do is find Glenn’s files and use them to fill in the blanks.
In order to find these we’re going to have to go back to the Telltale Explorer and open up the following archives: “WDC_pc_ProjectSeason1_anichore.ttarch2” and “WDC_pc_ProjectSeason1_data.ttarch2”.
Before we start getting our files, it may be prudent to make a separate folder called “Glenn Files” to keep these ones apart from the others for now.
Once again, use the search function to separate out and dump all the files featuring the name “glenn”.
There will be over 500 files for us to look through now, but there are some big cuts we can make to that number immediately by deleting:
The chore files The skl file The style files The prop file
After removing those, we should be left with only the anm files and ptable files. We will need to keep all of those ptables – however, we only want some of the animations. Of the animations, the files we definitely want to keep will start like this:
glenn_eyes glenn_face glenn_headGesture glenn_phoneme sk54_idle_glenn(an emotion name)
Everything else can be deleted – you could experiment and try using some of the other animations at a later time, but for the pure basics we have all that we need. And that cuts out about half of files we dumped initially. But now we have to go and rename some of these…
We want to replace the word “glenn” with “lee” in all instances except for with the phonemes. We don’t need to rename those, we just need to make sure they exist in the archives so the ptables can draw the animations from them.
Once everything has been appropriately renamed in the Glenn Files folder, copy and paste the contents into the Vince Files folder we were using earlier. There will be a few files that overlap with the files we previously renamed DO NOT overwrite your old files. This is important because we want Vince’s unique files to take priority over the versions that Glenn uses.
Now if we copy the contents of the Vince Files folder back into our game’s Archive directory, our Vince swap will be much more animated in his facial movements compared to before. I will also note that it isn’t necessary to copy the glenn_phoneme files into the Archive directory for this swap to work since those phoneme are already accessible in the swap we are doing – in other words, because Glenn and all of his files already exist in episode 1, we don’t need to make more copies in the archive. If you were however doing a swap to another episode or season where those files wouldn’t normally be located – then you would also need to copy the phonemes over.
Even with what we have done now, things might not be perfect all the time – if you believe you can improve further, it is up to you to experiment and look for ways to overwrite more of the incompatible animations and ptables with compatible ones.
5. Turning your swap into a mod file (optional)
If you don’t like having all of those loose files inside your Archives directory, you can go a step further and build a mod file that consists of a few lua files. This makes your swap more easily “stored” if you wish to keep backups, and also makes it easier to apply and disable your swap.
In order to create the mod file, we are going to need to use the Telltale Script Editor. I promise you, as someone who doesn’t know diddly squat about programming and scripting – you’ll be fine, it’s not difficult to use.
Run the telltale-script-editor.exe and press the big button that says “New Project”. Fill in the window that pops up (there’s no need to mess with the priority setting, just leave it as default) and then set the file location where you want your mod to be created. For convenience, I have used that Vince Files folder we were using before as the Project location.
Before we carry on using the Script Editor, lets go back and open up the Vince Files folder we just selected as our project location.
Tumblr media
You will see a new folder inside with whatever name you decided to give your mod. In my case, it says MCVince so I will remember that this mod swaps the Main Character into Vince.
If you open up that folder, there will be a file inside, “(project name).tseproj”. Whatever gets placed inside this folder now will show up in the Script Editor window if you right click on your mods name in the left window and select “Refresh”.
So before we move on, let’s make a new folder beside that tseproj file. Call it whatever you want – I have simply called it “Model Swap”.
Now copy all of those files within the Vince Files folder (except for the project folder, of course) and paste them into the newly made folder (“Model Swap”).
Go back to the Script Editor and right click on your project name and hit “Refresh”. Now you should be able to see your new folder if you click on your project and expand it. Expanding the  new folder will also show us all of the files we have just put into it:
Tumblr media
Now we need to click on the green hammer icon in the top, middle – this will build our mod files. Give the Script Editor some time, and then when it says it has completed building, you can close the program – we don’t need to use it anymore.
And now if we go back to the folder with our mod in it, there will be a new folder inside called “Builds”. Open up that folder and there will be a zipped build archive.
If you unzip this file you will see an lua file, a ttarch2 file, and a json file. This is your mod – you can either use a mod launcher to enable and disable this mod from now on, or simply copy these three files into your Archives directory. To remove your mod later, you simply remove the files.
Simple!

hi remember that bandwagon that’s been and gone for people discussing people who influence their character’s appearance and/or strongly match the image they have for their characters in their head? yeah? that one? well i finally did one for anica and i’m subjecting you all to it now:
angela gheorghiu - one of my biggest inspos for anica’s character since day one, even beyond the physical. she is THE modern opera diva. and Wow her voice is phenomenal.
kamila mraz - her city-dwelling, simple and warm aesthetics with cottons and florals are also perfect for anica
cătălina ponor - BIG body type inspo. one of my other big inspos when starting to research romania was their dominance in gymnastics in the 2000′s. she’s so cool and kept going until retiring at 30! that’s really incredible for gymnasts!
diana silvers - she’s my favourite fc for late 19th/early 20th c anica!
marion cotillard - secondary faceclaim! also has a lovely voice!
mădălina ghenea - the legs honey the LEGS. we love a romanian bombshell! she was cast as sophia loren in the recent movie house of gucci, and having the big debate in some casting circles be over whether her or catrinel should have the role is very good, i think.
sophia loren - oh hey look who it is! a classic beauty! it’s really the brow and face shape for me. i love her jawline as well.
catrinel marlon - ah, my primary fc for anica. she really ticks every box i have. her family’s history in athletics and gymnastics leans very well into it as well!
pelin karahan - i’ve already mentioned one of my historical fcs, so i thought to include my fc for wallachia as well.

Hi, it's me again, said I'd come up with some new questions for you, here I am xD
Alright, I really don't want to overload you two, I already got way more from you than I ever expected, so I'll keep this short.
What do you think the Ericon Kids would draw if Tenn asked them to spend some time with him?
What do you think their biggest fears are?
That's a really weird one I know, you don't have to answer any of these of course, but... what do you think they would smell like? Every human being has an individual smell, even after spending years in the forest. This one I'm actually asking because my sister forced me to, she loves to tease me about Marlon and Louis (is a Violentine fan, that little traitor xD)
To make it easier, I'd say the questions are only for Louis, Marlon, Violet, Mitch and Brody. Of course if you want to add more, feel free to do that, I just really don't want to pressure you or anything, have been asking you a lot xD
Greetings from Germany and have a nice day!
Dang! First off, thanks for the questions, always fun to discuss different things for TWDG!
Also warning that this is a long post so get ready to read. Maybe grab a cup of tea first.
Alright, so this question is super cute! Art time with Tenn, our little hearts <3
Louis: We feel like it would depend on his mood. He would draw whatever came to mind. Maybe a doodle of him and his friends, maybe the music room. This would only be after Tenn is gone so not quite what the question asked. But when Clementine shows up and after they get together I'd say Louis would have fun drawing them as little doodles maybe him as a prince and her as a warrior princess. Both of them take down a dragon with AJ. Stuff like that.
Marlon: He would always be pretty exhausted but he'd make time to draw with Tenn here and there. His mind would blank easily on what to draw and would more like than not end up drawing some of the buildings of Erison. They are right there and he can't think of anything else. Although after a while he might doodle a dog or two.
Violet: She would be one of the ones to draw with Tenn the most and would agree pretty much anytime he asked. As for what she draws I'd say she'd draw stars a lot, birds would also be something she'd doodle too. Lots of time her mind blanks for what she wants to draw so she draws whatever. Clouds, grass, the gate, anything since to her its more that art makes Tenn happy and she gets to spend time with him.
Mitch: Well, we get to see a bit of what he draws in his notebook so I'd say he does similar art to that when with Tenn. So he draws cartoon bombs, walkers some on fire, some not, and some critters too. He wouldn't really show this to many of the others but he enjoys drawing flowers. Makes him feel happy.
Brody: She would probably draw the beach for starters but what she would work on time after time with Tenn is her dream road trip map. She would take way too much time making the lettering look right and the colors. She'd add any stops that Tenn or the others wanted. It would help the others get away from the intensity of reality and slip into this hopeful dream. Just them together on a road trip, no walkers, no worries.
Ruby: She would probably draw cowboys and flowers. She would get really into the narrative with Tenn when he asks about the cowboy's backstory and Willy ends up getting invested. So now they have a cowboy character that the three of them like to draw adventures for. Besides that, Ruby would probably try to draw her family and get emotional hoping that her mom, dad, and four brothers are okay.
Sophie: She would spend any and all time she could with her brother, especially if it's art. What she draws depends on the day, sometimes its cartoon looking animals or clouds and flowers. But when they start losing a lot of the Ericson kids before the events of TFS Sophie made it her duty to do portraits of them. She wanted them not to be forgotten and she wanted it so that if someone ever brought up someone like Therissa they could use Sophie's portrait of her to remember what she looked like. Maybe the drawing would even help them recall some memories too.
2. As for biggest fears some of them are in the game and get explored a bit like Louis and Violet.
Louis: Having to kill someone. We believe this was the answer one of the writers gave when asked this question. But we also believe he would fear that eventually everyone will just completely ignore him and he'd disappear into the background. This plays heavily into his low self-esteem issues.
Marlon: Failing the others as the leader, losing friends, and them finding out the secret of what happened with the twins. As it turns out his worst fears end up coming true in the game.
Violet: Being abandoned. You learn more about this on her route but she has deep abandonment issues and for good reason too. With how her grandma passed away along with the poor home life she had growing up, being sent away to Ericson then having Minnie disappear as well as one of her best friends, Sophie. It was a lot and she fears that if she gets abandoned once more she'll just completely shut off from the others and the world.
Mitch: Willy dying would probably be his biggest fear. He has been protecting him since the apocalypse started so since Willy was around 4. Willy is like a little brother to him, he's family. Also, we would add any of the younger kids dying as well so that includes Tenn too.
Brody: Most likely it's the others all dying or being taken away. She worries about that a lot, which gives her lots of panic attacks in the middle of the night, She fears the idea of being alone and being too weak to help keep those she cares about safe.
3. Huh, smell, okay, this is an interesting question. Okay well right off the bat let's say regardless of how much we love the Ericson kids to pieces they would all smell godawful. Eight years into the apocalypse would definitely make them stinky. So let's exclude that layer of smell they would have as well as the smell of blood and the potential walker guts on them.
Louis: We say that he smells like pine cone or evergreen trees, so he smells like a forest. But he also smells of dust, paper and candle wax since he spends all his time in the music.
Marlon: He smells like Teen Spirit (lol). Okay on a serious note, since he sleeps in the headmaster's office and Rosie is always with him and extremely cuddly he would most likely smell heavily of dog.
Violet: She smells of moss and vines. This is due to how frequently she climbs up onto the wall and lays down on it. With how many years of the apocalypse have occurred, those walls are vine-filled and mossy so that's what she smells like.
Mitch: He smells like fertilizer due to all the bombs he works on.
Brody: She smells like rain, there is something really nice and calming about it (We joke that after Mitch catches feelings for her he tends to not shut up about liking rain).
Omar: He smells like smoke from the fire and like rabbit and fish. This is the price for being a chef you wind up smelling like the ingredients and materials you work with.
Aasim: He smells like deodorant because of the deodorant stash he keeps but he also tends to smell like smoke as well. That boy loves his flames.
Thanks for the ask!

BTL: Who was the biggest surprise in terms of someone you would never have thought of for the role?
Papsidera: Matthew Goode as Robert Evans was phenomenal. We talked about a lot of different guys for Bob Evans and there were other actors attached before I was involved. I cannot say enough about Matthew. He came rather late to the party because there was so much discussion about who that could be. We got to Matthew and the fact that he embodied that in his own unique way is phenomenal. I knew Bob briefly. I did a movie [called] Jade with Bob Evans, who was a producer. Bob was a character and was unbelievably idiosyncratic. Matthew nailed his inflection and his tonality; all of that stuff I was just blown away. It was a magical performance where he had fun and allowed us to have fun. I was thrilled with Lou Ferrigno for Lenny Montana, which was a hard role to find.

i'm currently about halfway through black leopard, red wolf by Marlon James and I'd read some goodreads reviews before i started and they're driving me insane! the book is quite graphically violent (my feelings about how people react to this element could be a whole other post) and the characters are not easily likable which are two aspects that many people seem quite critical of. yet though i havent finished black leopard, red wolf yet, i really loved james's book a brief history of seven killings which is also quite violent and "vulgar" (a very loaded word imo but one that many reviews of his work use.) one of my favorite things about both books is how he creates these vivid and thoroughly human characters that the reader can understand and feel for even as they (the characters) do things we probably find reprensible. especially in a brief history of seven killings–many of the characters are young Black men involved in violent crime which is certainly not a demographic often portrayed with nuance in art and pop culture, so i especially value that book. in a way many of the reactions to these books that say all the characters are awful and impossible to sympathize with reminds me of posts that are like "haha everyone on succession is horrible and it's funny to watch them fail"... there are of course many differences between the works i'm discussing but imo one of the most beautiful things about art is how it can challenge us to feel for people we otherwise might dismiss even as they do things we abhor. it's very easy to reject people outright and much more difficult to see ourselves in them even if we feel we'd act differently in their place.

Empowerment and Style: Women's Black Leather Biker Vest
New Post has been published on https://ashipwreckinthesand.com/empowerment-and-style-womens-black-leather-biker-vest/
Empowerment and Style: Women's Black Leather Biker Vest
The History of Women’s Motorcycle Gear Empowers Women
In the realm of screaming engines and the open road, the womens black leather motorcycle vest represents style and empowerment. Female bikers wear this to symbolize their efforts to enter a male-dominated business. Social changes and gender equality fights on and off the road have shaped women’s motorcycle apparel, especially the vest.
Motorcycling was an automotive accessory in the early 20th century, not a female domain. Avis and Effie Hotchkiss, who rode a Harley-Davidson cross-country in 1915, defied these standards. Early female motorcycle riders adapted men’s gear because no women’s gear existed. Their attire emphasized safety and comfort over the elegance that later distinguished women’s motorcycle gear.
In later decades, women motorcyclists gained visibility and better gear. Rebellious Marlon Brando and James Dean popularized motorcycling in the 1950s and 60s. Although this movement featured women, their portrayal was often decorative, hiding their riding skills and commitment. The women’s black leather motorcycle vest symbolized road toughness and femininity.
More women became serious motorcycle riders in the 1970s and 80s, changing the sport. Motorcycle clubs and organizations for women promoted motorcycling rights and respect. This new organization needed women-specific clothing. Manufacturers responded by making motorcycle jackets, gloves, and vests for women that combined safety and flair to help riders express themselves while keeping protected.
Female anatomy was considered when designing women’s motorcycle gear, including the vest, for better fit and comfort. Brands experimented with breathable fabrics and armor in crucial spots without compromising aesthetics. The women’s black leather motorbike vest evolved with adjustable waistbands, more pockets, and stylish shapes that suit the feminine figure while preserving its edgy, rebellious character.
The 21st-century narrative about women and motorcycles has shifted. Digital media has spawned a new generation of female riders, influencers, and advocates, broadening the community and gear. Women’s motorcycle clothing, including vests, is classic to modern to suit their tastes and riding needs. Now, riders’ apparel is a canvas for self-expression, a badge of their journey, and a reflection of their identity.
Sustainability, ethical production, and technical innovation have been incorporated into women’s riding gear discussions, reflecting societal concerns. Innovative materials improve safety, comfort, and flexibility, while companies prioritize eco-friendly production and more body-friendly designs to promote riding inclusivity.
Ladies’ motorcycle apparel has a beautiful endurance, ingenuity, and camaraderie history. Female bikers have overcome stereotypes and redefined riding from the days of adaption and improvisation to the present day of elegant, inclusive gear. Women’s black leather motorcycle vests, once symbols of rebellion and utility, now represent freedom, empowerment, and the ever-changing adventure of women in riding.
Looking ahead, women’s motorcycle clothing will continue to evolve with the community it serves. Female motorcyclists are changing motorcycling culture with every mile and threshold they push.
Leather Vests for Women: Comfortable Design
The women’s black leather motorcycle vest is unique in motorcycle gear, combining timeless style with female-specific design. This iconic rider’s apparel has evolved, with producers concentrating on comfort, fit, and practicality for women riders. This move from a one-size-fits-all to a gender-specific design underscores the motorcycling industry’s growing acceptance of women on the road.
Women typically had to wear ill-fitting motorcycle gear because it was meant for men. When more women started riding, demand for functional, comfortable, and flattering gear increased. Designers saw and added elements to the women’s leather motorbike vest to improve riding.
Adjustable side laces or stretch panels in women’s leather vests are a significant design breakthrough. This innovation enables a bespoke fit that fits the female body and keeps the vest snug without being restricted. This is crucial since a well-fitted vest looks nicer and protects by keeping incorporated safety elements in place.
Ergonomics go beyond fit-to-vest cut. Women’s vests’ lower torso length and tapered sides improve comfort, especially when cycling. Keeping the material from bunching up or causing pain allows one to focus on the road ahead rather than gear adjustments.
Designers now add feminine accents to women’s motorbike vests without compromising their toughness or practicality. These vests let women motorcyclists express their flair while riding with discreet embroidery and perforated panels that provide style and ventilation. Practical pocket space, both internal and external, keeps items safe and accessible.
Material innovation also helped produce women’s leather motorbike vests. Modern vests use lightweight leather for durability without bulk and sophisticated fabrics for weather resistance and comfort. These materials are chosen for their durability and ability to fit the body like a second skin without restricting movement.
All motorcyclists prioritize safety. Therefore, women-specific designs integrate safety without sacrificing style or comfort. Many women’s vests have reinforced stitching, reflective detailing, and the possibility to add protective armor. The vest’s design considers every detail from the female rider’s perspective, making it a proper road ally.
The women’s black leather motorbike vest reflects the motorcycle industry’s gender-specific gear trend. As manufacturers listen to and engage with women riders, novel designs to satisfy the different demands of this growing population are coming. The choices are endless, from vests with cutting-edge temperature control materials to styles that merge safety and fashion.
In conclusion, the modern women’s black leather motorbike vest is far from its generic ancestors. It shows the industry’s dedication to diversity and female motorcyclists’ demands. These vests protect and enable women motorcyclists to express themselves and enjoy motorcycling via intelligent design and innovation. As this transformation continues, the leather vest will remain a mainstay in the wardrobe of the discerning female rider, symbolizing freedom, style, and the endless pursuit of the perfect ride.
In women-specific motorcycle gear, safety and functionality are as important as comfort and style. Technology and art are blended into women’s motorcycling clothing, notably leather vests, generating protective and beautiful clothes. This beautiful form-function combo shows the industry’s growing knowledge of women riders’ demands and preferences.
Future trends in women’s motorbike vests suggest more advanced adaptations. Innovative technology like connecting with riders’ smartphones for navigation, communication, and vital sign monitoring is likely. Technology may improve motorcycle gear without sacrificing design or comfort, ushering in a new era of ease and safety.
In motorcycle gear design and production, sustainability is becoming more critical. Explore eco-friendly materials that reduce environmental effects without losing durability or protection. Riders who respect environmental care will like this shift, symbolizing a cultural shift toward sustainability.
The women’s black leather motorbike vest represents the biker community’s independence and adventure in this changing world. Its constant change shows how Gear may adapt to changing needs while staying loyal to its identity, reflecting the shifting roles of women in this community. As women riders continue to carve out their spot on the roads and in motorcycling culture, their clothing, especially the leather vest, will symbolize their strength, versatility, and everlasting passion for the ride.

Marlon Brando's scene in Roots: The Next Generations is s sign of how society and the media have changed.
I'm not going to embed the scene, I'll just give you a link to it. Fair warning - it's harsh.
And yet almost everything Brando's character says in 1972 (it's a flashback) is being said today, by way more people that should be.
This was broadcast on ABC television in 1979. It was not bleeped, it was not edited. It used language that we do not even allude to today. Both he and James Earl Jones and Marlon Brando drop the N-bomb, numerous times, on network television. The word is used liberally (an ironic use of the word here) throughout both mini-series. I don't think they'd be able to show this on TV today, so completely different is the modern world's treatment of the word. It'd be cut up worse that The Sopranos on PAX-TV.
The person Brando played is in no way played as a positive. His callous, heartless tone in the hate he casually discusses got Brando an Emmy. And James Earl Jones is staggering - he's doing all he can to keep himself in check, and not only because this Nazi has a pistol on the desk in front of him.
Oh, and I am now going to refer to the former president's rallies and "Hate-nannies".

The Timeless Elegance of Men's Leather Blazers
Tumblr media
When it comes to men's fashion, certain wardrobe staples never go out of style. One such timeless piece is the leather blazer. Merging sophistication and difficulty, a men's leather blazer shows a timeless elegance that can improve any outfit. In this blog post, we will delve into the appeal and versatility of men's leather blazers, exploring their origins, styling tips, and discusses why they stay a must-have garment for fashion-conscious men.
A Brief History:
Leather blazers have a rich history that dates back several years. Initially popularized in the 1950s and 1960s, leather blazers became identical with militant style and masculinity. Iconic figures like Marlon Brando and James Dean cemented the leather blazer's place in popular culture, making it a symbol of rugged individuality. Today, men's leather blazers continue to take that essence, combining classic tailoring with a touch of tension.
Versatility:
One of the most appealing attributes of a men's leather blazer is its versatility. Whether you're joining a formal event or aiming for a more casual look, a leather blazer can smoothly adapt to different events. For formal settings, pair it with tailored trousers and a crisp dress shirt for a sleek, polished appearance. To achieve a more relaxed look, simply combine it with jeans and a t-shirt, creating an group that exudes effortless coolness.
Quality and Durability:
Leather, known for its stability, is an excellent choosing for a blazer. Investing in a high-quality leather blazer confirms long life and resilience, allowing you to enjoy this timeless piece for years to come. With proper care and keep, leather blazers develop a rich patina over time, adding character and uniqueness to each jacket.
Styling Tips:
When it comes to styling a men's leather blazer, there are several key concerns to keep in mind:
Color: Opt for classic shades such as black, brown, or dark navy for a useful and sophisticated look. These colors can easily be matched with a variety of outfits.
Fit: Choose a blazer that fits well, skimming the body without being too tight or loose. A well-fitted leather blazer enhances your silhouette and exudes certainty.
Layering: Experiment with layering by wearing your leather blazer over a sweater or a lightweight turtleneck during colder months. This adds depth and dimension to your outfit while keeping you warm.
Accessorize: Complement your leather blazer with accessories like a stylish belt, a pocket square, or a statement watch. These accents can elevate your overall look and showcase your individual style.
Conclusion:
A men's leather blazer is an investment piece that easily combines timeless elegance with a hint of ruggedness. Its versatility, quality craftsmanship, and ability to adapt to various changes make it a staple in any fashion-conscious man's wardrobe. Whether you're aiming for a classic formal look or a casual ensemble, a leather blazer adds an element of superiority and style that is hard to match. Embrace the prevailing appeal of a men's leather blazer and make a fashion statement that stands the test of time.

A Streetcar Named Desire (1951)
A woman moves in with her sister and brother-in-law but his masculine irritability compel him to investigate and bully her until he finds out about her mysterious and inconsistent past.
Surprisingly heavy topics are addressed in a realistic or explicit way, most notably domestic violence which was somewhat tabooed by the censorship at the time. Mental health is also referenced a good deal towards the end in an unusual way. Each performance has unusual aspects which make the characters interesting and odd.
The representation of the topics and characters are rather variable, neither main theme is justified or condemned outright and all the characters are deeply flawed in some way or another, making it difficult to relate. The men are consistently violent and the women are mostly depicted as meek or any positive action is framed as hysteria.
It’s more of a theatrical film than a cinematic piece, with the shots lingering and the characters moving about the scene as though to an audience. It’s also very dialogue based which allows the focus to be maintained on the atmospheric lighting and the realism of the relative squalor of working families of the era.
None of the romances are worth enough to route for as every relationship is strained in the most unhealthy ways. Every character is quick to anger and the verbal streams can sometimes become tedious. This is especially trying when the accents are thick or the volume oscillates wildly, being whispered discussions one second then loud machinery of the factory the next.
4/10 -It’s below average, but only just!-
-The name of the family home, Belle Reve, translates to English as “Dream Lady” reflecting Blanche’s character.
-Many major studios refused connection with the production due to the controversial subject matter.
-Marlon Brando’s performance is largely credited as having started the method acting movement.
