Luke
Luke’s style seems to gravitate towards stuff like them park dates and county fair dates, so that’s what he does for your first
He picks you up early on a Saturday morning, bright eyed and bushy tailed. You're almost annoyed because no one should be so perky before 10 am in the morning. And he doesn’t need coffee rude
The two of you stop for a quick breakfast before descending on the theme park
After that you run through the usual culprits: twirly rides, house of mirrors, a couple roller coasters (before lunch, not after), pretending to be scared at the haunted house rides
he shows off his aim at some of the game booths winning you exactly what you want
You even manage to convince him to do face painting with you
In all honesty, it feels like being kids again. Except kids don’t hold hands and find secluded areas to make out
In the evening you find a nice little hill--scratch that, the two of you are definitely sitting next to each other on the Farris wheel while you watch the fireworks
Marius
A date with Marius is upscale. You definitely need a fancy dress which he has no problems paying for
It comes in two parts
First he takes you to an art gallery. One he totally rented out for the night
You’re more than happy to watch him smile and talk about his art. He always lights up and sometimes loses that mask of the rich little shit and it is a treat
You spend several hours there, but he’s mindful of your comfort. Heels are a bitch to walk in for long periods of time.
When you’re ready to leave, Marius takes you to a super fancy restaurant. You went a little pale when you saw where you were going, then reminded you that Marius has the money to volunteer to give you ridiculously expensive dogs. A private reservation overlooking a quiet park is no biggie for Mr. Acting President von Hagen.
All in all, it’s very nice. You can’t get out of being the object of his teasing and no matter how fancy the joint, he still gets full named.
Artem
A first date with Artem is classic. Dinner and a movie.
The two of you ended up going back and forth about who picked the movie and diner, eventually settling on you picking the movie while he picked the diner.
You did your research and picked something that would appeal to both of you. A reshowing of a timeless chick flick: The Titanic (Is the Titanic a classic in 2030?)
Artem makes sure he has plenty of tissues he knows you’re prone to crying at the end
Afterwards, you two have an in depth debate over whether Jack and Rose would have both fit on the door. He tells you that if that ever happens, he’ll make sure both of you survive.
For diner Artem takes you to a nice Mom-and-Pop restaurant. It turns out he’s been going there since he was a kid and the proprietors are really happy to see that “Artie finally found himself a nice girl. It’s about time.”
Despite their gentle teasing, the food there really is some of the best you’ve ever had
Of course, Artem drives you home himself and walks you to the door
Vyn
And last, but never least Vyn “here are my red flags” Richter
On the scale of fancy to classic to casual, Vyn ends up bringing you on a date that rates somewhere between fancy and classic. It’s classy, it’s upscale, but it’s not oozing “I run a conglomerate” either
He takes you to see a ballet or an Opera. Swan lake, maybe, Something refined, much like your date
Of course, you have very good seats. Vyn wouldn’t have anything else.
After the show, you go to a quiet, but upscale restaurant. It’s one well known for it’s wine, which the guy is an absolute stickler for.
Vyn is a complete gentleman the entire time. Really, he always is. Treating you with nothing but the utmost respect, despite his concerning manipulative tendencies and you enjoy seeing a glimpse of what Vyn is like when you’re not calling him Dr. Richter.

→ but knowing how playful Marius can be- its hard to know when to use praise. sometimes he doesn't deserve it and could be used as great begging material.
→ if you've seen his cards and shit- he wears a lot of chokers- so this man is probably hinting at something my guy... so having a collar and leash around is a definite thing. also makes sure to keep that brat side of him in check.
→ he will use it against you too. so do be- wary when he gets egged on from it.
→ Marius, being the mischievous and flirtatious man he is, will love to tease the fuck out of you. usually in the form of him edging you. he loves to see the expression on your face contort and change, watching with a smirk on his face. knowing you can't do shit about it at that moment.
→ loves to have his hands on you all the damn time, he likes the physical contact feel and if you ever restrain him. the mans definitely whining about it entirely.
→ will probably press his body against yours if he can't have his hands on you.

The Mechanisms’ mechanisms work differently in regards to how and how fast they come back.
Jonny’s is based on what makes sense the most for the story whether its coming back instantly for Sleeping Beauty or taking a whole hour or two at Gender Rebels so the others can do a show without him.
For Marius, I got the idea from a fanfic that he comes back when its the most comedic
Nastya and Ivy always come back after a specific, reasonable amount of time, Raphaella is similar, but various other factors can make it shorter or longer, giving her more things to experiment with.
Ashes comes back when you least expect it (only applies to mortals since the mechs always expect it)
Brian comes back when he is needed, and Toy Solider comes back when you tell it to.
oh!! this makes jonny's "our mechanisms rely on The Narrative" and nastya's "no tf they don't" both correct

cosette does a lot to try and nurture her inner child by indulging in things that she wasn’t allowed to when she was really young like getting excited over dolls and stuffed animals and going to the zoo and building legos and crying when she wants to and sometimes she gets embarrassed by it because people think she’s immature but then one day enjolras comes over like “hey. wanna go to the science center and then go lay in the grass in the park and try and collect ladybugs. its what i do when im stressed.” so they go to the science center and watch a display on the james webb telescope and cosette buys freeze dried ice cream and a little star plush in the gift shop and by the time they get to the park courfeyrac and marius are blowing up their phones like “YOURE HANGING OUT WE WANNA COME” and so all of the amis gather at the park and take their shoes off and wiggle their toes in the grass and make up stories about clouds that look like turtles and jehan reads beatrix potter aloud for everyone and bahorel and feuilly brought snacks and they all lay around until the sun goes down and cosette finally can just be herself, even when that includes being emotional or “childish”, because she’s never going to be alone or unloved or shamed for being herself again and that feels like enough to heal her

by someone who gets scared very easily
let's set the scene: someone standing by the corner of a wall, obstructed from the view. another person is coming! quick, get in position to pop out and scare them!
vyn - very unfazed outwardly. did flinch and took a step back, but what are you talking about? he was merely waiting for the person to pop out any moment. afraid, him? why would he be? oiger didn't snap their neck, they're not a threat and he wasn't surprised they were there lol
artem - full on jumps. probably let out a yelp but they're not sure? honestly, they almost missed their queue to scare him bc he's that good at sneaking around. 50% chance you made him drop his coffee. now he's sad, buy him a coffee :C
marius - very very very prolonged scream. a little high-pitched if we're being honest. even after seeing the culprit, he will keep screaming. congrats, you are now the center of attention for making Marius von Hagen scream
luke - one of two: he doesn't jump. he's acutely aware of his surroundings and will force himself to jump just to humor the person scaring him. no one catches luke 'hypervigilance' peace off guard enough to scare him. if, by some miracle, he was actually caught off guard? punch to the face guaranteed. they're gonna walk away feeling something regardless lolol

It's you and me this summer
Hcs for the nxx boys going on holiday with you (order: Luk - Marius - Vyn - Artem) maybe a bit ooc? (its been a while) Enjoy!
Luke
If you travel by plane, he will offer his shoulder for you to sleep on. He will wake you for snack time though!
If you travel by car, you will switch with driving, and he will have a full playlist with music to keep you both in vacation spirits.
Cannonballs in the pool every single time, then shakes out his hair like a really cute dog. (a golden retriever prob)
Probably burns easily, you will have to remind him about sunblock.
Makes you join karaoke with him out of the blue.
Will take you to little local places to eat, might get a food poisoning from it, but it will be worth it, to see his beautiful genuine smile.
Marius.
First class travel everywhere. Marius is used to it, so you should, too.
By car, he hires someone to drive, so you can both relax closely together in the back seat
Splashes you with water when you try to ease into the pool.
If you are both in a good mood, he will pick you up and throw you in the pool. Has you piggyback ride him in the pool as well, to keep you close.
Probably has staff around him (and you!) For all your needs. Miss wants a drink? It's there within a second. Some shade? Parasol building on the spot.
But the one thing Marius will do himself is apply your sunblock.
He might write something like ♡Marius on your back, so it will be visible agianst te rest of the colored skin.
Vyn
Traveling by plane? He picked out a few books you both can read, while you can choose the music.
By car? He drives. He wants you to relax as much as possible.
He's it the pool on a big floaty with a cup holder. Has a cocktail in it and maybe paid off a waiter to refill it every time he puts the empty glass in the air. (Fight me for this one! I see him as a diva on vacation, canon in chibi lounge 'member?)
Offers to help put on sunblock just to be able to touch your skin.
If there is a wine trip, you will take it. Vyn will have all the knowledge on it and tells you about it with that sparkle in his eyes.
Artem
Traveling by plane, first class. It is expensive but he wants you to relax to the fullest. Even he will close his eyes for a nap.
By car? He drives. He doesn't want you to worry and relax.
Does laps in the pool early in the morning.
Reminds you every few hours to apply sunblock. If you ask him to help, he will turn red, but do it, with a very serious face.
He will do his research before the trip. Knows all the food spots and cultural trips are already planned (only if you want to)
Will act like your personal butler. He will not relax until you are.
You will have to remind him to sit down and enjoy the view every once in a while. (You're his view, obviously)
If you ask him what he really wants to do, he will tell you he wants to visit that super romantic couples spot. (All the while sporting his signature red ears and cheeks)
This has been sitting in my drafts for a while, but i never had the feeling it was 'done' now i know i cant put more in it for now, it was time for me to post it.

As an art major I feel like Marius is super picky about anything related to color.
Once someone said "White is my favorite color" and it took all his self-restraint to not make a comment about how white and black are technically shades, not colors.

Taking them Home to Meet the Parents (Marius, Artem, Vyn)
This was originally two parts, but I don't think splitting them up makes much sense. Not when both are written and part two was only Vyn

Marius
Your parents are split when you bring him home for the first time
He easily charms your mother who thinks he’s “just such a nice boy, you should keep him y/n”
Mentally you’re like “uh huh. sure. Such a nice boy and the biggest tease in Stellis.” Not that you’d mention it. There’s no point in enlightening your mother during their first meeting
Your father is a different story
He’s heard rumors of the younger von Hagen boy and is suspicious. Very suspicious. though you’re sure his mood is more about the boyfriend bit, not the von Hagen bit. He’s your father after all
The three of you have dinner, while, Marius chats with your mother and your father subtly not grills him on every topic imaginable
When dinner is done, your father drags him outside for a little talk. Before they leave your mother tells him to “be nice to the poor boy, he’s probably terrified” yes, yes he is, but he leads meetings in front of cranky old men all the time. He’s not going to show your dad just how terrified he is, lol
The shovel talk goes about as well as can be expected
“If you hurt my daughter, I’ll make sure you’re a permanent missing person’s case.”
nope, nope, not terrified at all to which Marius responds with a very quiet, “Yes sir, I wouldn’t dream of hurting your daughter”
Your father would be satisfied with the response and the rest of the night goes very well
Before he leaves, Marius definitely gives you a kiss that has your mother blushing, you breathless, and your father reaching for the shovel. It’s something your should have expected, really. Marius wasn’t going to be able to pretend all night. He never can.
Artem
If your parents would be of split opinions about Marius, the opposite is true if you brought Artem home
Your mother would be very pleased with the way Artem cares for you and how much he respects you. Of course, he treats her with the same courtesy, if not with the same openness.
Your mother does remark that he seems a little distant and very formal. You merely shrug and tell her that Artem is just like that.
Even with the distance your mother is easily won over
Your father is even easier to please. It’s painfully obvious that Artem respects you no shovel talk needed
He’s even happier when you tell him about his accolades. He wants someone who can take care of his daughter, who can support her no matter what she decides to do in live and Artem is certainly capable of doing so
After dinner, Artem insists on being the one to drive you home (you came together anyway), which pleases your parents immensely.
Vyn Richter
Your dad was seriously trying to find fault with Vyn, he really was
After all, only the best of the best get to date his daughter
But this is Vyn. Despite his god complex, he has his good points and he knows full well how to put those on display
So instead of seeing “your daughter calls me professor in bed” he sees “successful psychiatrist, professor, and someone who will treat his daughter right”
And he will. Red flags aside, his distaste read: hatred of PUAs shows that he will not descend to that level of manipulation
What only you see is that Vyn is genuinely nervous. He doesn’t have a lot of experience at this stage of a relationship I wouldn’t think anyway and he is not nearly as perfect as he’d like to be (you spent an hour trying to convince him that it was going to be fine
So he results to assuaging your dad’s doubts and charming your mother
Boy howdy does he charm your Mom. His polished and refined manner, strict adherence to etiquette, and the gentlemanly way he treats you has her over the moon
So while your Dad is like, “he’s dating my daughter, I don’t like him. But damn it he treats her like a queen” Mom is like “great job, Y/n, he’s a keeper”
Actually, for a moment your mom is a little self conscious over the homely dinner she spent some much time on. I mean, this is fine dining, best of the best, Vyn and he can’t totally dampen that vibe.
But once things really get going, your dad stops interrogating Vyn and your mom stopped feeling so self conscious (a genuine “compliments to the chef” from Vyn did the trick) things go fairly smoothly
Vyn soon stops being so nervous, to which you think “about damn time” and you end up having a very interesting dinner time discussion
By the time Vyn leaves, all mistrust has been dispelled
As far as you’re concerned, it’s a resounding success

- Marius has a doctorate, but it’s in “mechanical medicine”, and no one knows what that is
- Jonny has been lobotomised twice. Because he doesn’t remember it, he hasn’t regenerated from it.
- Tim can take his eyes out whenever he wants. Nobody likes when he does.

Les Amis & Co: Beach Day Edition
Because it's summer and I had to
Enjolras:
My guy, he's so pale he needs an entire bottle of sunscreen to not get sunburnt. And he really doesn't care, everyone is after his ass holding the sunscreen, trying to 'at least cover his back because he'll be looking like a blonde strawberry by the end of the day'. Brings only a towel and his wallet or sth. Wears his swimsuit, flip flops and a t-shirt.
Combeferre
The dad of the group. Makes sure everyone has sunscreen on amd everything they need and you can hear him yelling "DON'T FORGET YOUR HATS" every hour or so. With every opportunity he gets, he's dropping random facts about the sand, the sea, the random crab grantaire just found etc etc. 80% of the time he's reading a book in his lil beach recliner chair. Brings an entire backpack filled with everything anyone could possibly need at the beach. Same kinda outfit w enj's, just with sneakers (bc he's driving everyone there) + a nice hat
Courfeyrac
He cannot put his ass down. Homeboy is always hyping someone up to play games. Beach rackets, volleyball, whatever. He and Gavroche sre having a BLAST. Nags to Combeferre about having to wear his hat the entire time. Brings a small bag w his stuff + another one filled with beach balls, rackets etc. Swimsuit + unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt and a funky bucket hat
Grantaire
Vibes around drinking beer. The type of friend to splash water on everyone while they're trying to get into the water (particularly Enjolras). Goes looking for random shit on the rocks. Brings a fanny pack for his phone and cigarettes. Towel?? Don't know her. Shows up only in a swimsuit and at some points, he takes it off for shits and giggles
Bahorel
Have you ever been to the beach near a cliff side and there's this one mf who climbs on top of the cliff to perform an epic 11 meter backflip into the water? Yeah that's Bahorel. Bitch just goes around looking for ways to possibly get hurt. He doesn't. Deffo has a paddle board. Gets a crazy ass tan. Brings only the bag for the board and puts the rest of his stuff in there. Wears one of these shitty low armpit shirts. And a 'women want me fish fear me' baseball cap
Feuilly
He be taking beach day seriously. Brings snacks for everyone, randomly pulls out a sketchbook at some point. Gets excited over cool rocks and spends more time than necessary on making a sandcastle. Cannot go into the water on his own, at least one of his friends have to be swimming as well. His back is red asf at the end of the day. Hawaiian shirt but buttoned up. Carries an extra tiny bag for his book and sketchbook.
Bossuet
Somehow, he'll find a way to get stung by a jellyfish (and grantaire will almost immediately offer to pee on him). If not, he steps on a sea urchin. Or gets his leg scratched on a rock. But still he manages to have fun. In charge of the aux chord. Is extremely annoyed by grantaire and his splashes. A standard bag, has a t-shirt on but it obviously falls into the water by accident so he has to be shirtless on the way home (Musichetta and Joly don't mind at all). Lost his hat :(
Joly
Speaking of joly, mf's crazy over sunscreen. At least 3 times a day, they apply a new coat, hydrate every 10 minutes and will not let ANYONE go into the water if they've eaten anything, not after at least 2 hours pass by. Pull up wearing a speedo, jorts and a short sleeved button up. Amd a big ass hat. Huge af beach bag.
Jehan
It's their time to shine. They spend most of the time posing for pics but at the same time they're kinda shy abt it. Went into the water like once. One of these 'beach please bags'. They're wearing a flowy summer dress and like swimming shorts and a bikini top kinda thing. Staw hat person
Marius
He's dying inside. Bro's under the umbrella, watching everything, hoping time will eventually come for them to go home. Courf tries to get him into the water and he succeeds. Unfortunately, les amis do not let him go, they force him to be a part of the summer fun and at some point, he starts enjoying himself. Gets sunburnt. Bro shows up in jorts snd a polo t-shirt and changes into his swimsuit there (also he's definitely one of those guys who keep their underwear underneath). Unironically wears a fedora hat. Carries 26383 bags + Cosette's bc he's a gentleman above everything.
Cosette
Photographer of the group. Takes pictures of everything and everyone. Also takes videos of the stupid shit grantaire does and makes sure they o over to the gc immediately. Provides everyone with data, she's the hotspot friend. Jehan is her main model. Tries getting a tan, fails. Short flower dress over her black bikini and sandals. Matching straw hats w jehan.
Eponine
Omg sis has 2 siblings to take care of. Runs after Gavroche and Azelma all the time to keep them from doing stupid shit. She and bahorel do swimming competitions. Has like a big ass water bottle (joly approved) because she always gets dehydrated. And Gab and Azelma never drink water, ever. Doesn't go for a tan, still gets a great one. Old crusty bikini and just jean shorts over it. She'd like to go topless but isn't all for it yet. Has to carry her siblings stuff as well.
Musichetta
Ok sis is a great swimmer. She's in the water 24/7 vibin, swimming, playing games. No-one can get her out of there. She doesn't really eat much but if. There's any juice, she is drinking it all up. She loves her beach juice time okay? One piece swimsuit and a see-through coverup tied around her waist. Just a small beach bag is okay for her
Gavroche
As soon as they arrive, lil bro's in the water playing already. Then he pulls out water guns and declares war on everyone. Annoying little shit, but they all love him so much. Courf keeps him occupied by playing with him all the time. No one complains. Eats all of Feuilly's snacks. Begs Eponine to let him do stupid shit with bahorel. She does NOT give in, so he just finds a small rock to jump off of into the water nearby. Creeper swimsuit.
Azelma
Quieter than her brother but she follows along. Hellps Feuilly w his castle. Keeps Marius company when she's not in the water. Cosette asked her if she wanted her pics taken and she was ECSTATIC. Flowy dress and a flower pattern one piece underneath.
Bonus Montparnasse:
Floatie guy. Bro has like an inflatable donut and once it's in the water, he's off. Falls asleep on it and someone was to swim like a mile away to bring him back. Brings very few stuff with him. Like grantaire, just a swimsuit is fine

i just am... thinking about the brick's portrayal of cosette and valjean's relationship and how i think it works so well with my neurodivergent cosette hc... because valjean loves and cares for her so deeply but he sees any kind of emotional spikes from her or things like overstimulation or stimming as something being wrong, not out of judgment but out of concern and love... and cosette loves her papa more than anything and hates seeing him distressed so she starts masking around him so he doesn’t worry about her... feeling like as much as her and her father love each other nobody will every really see all of her and accept all of her... and then she meets marius, who is equally as neurodivergent but always had to mask because of his grandfather... and together they learn to accept and love themselves in their entirely and stop masking... NEURODIVERGENT COSETTE/MARIUS IDC IDC IDC THIS IS MY TRUTH
