woof. seeing someone admit (anonymously, of course) that they've pasted "hundreds of fics" into chatgpt to continue unfinished stories or see a different plot with similar elements is... fucking ouch.
it doesn't matter if you don't publish it or whatever. you're taking someone's hard work and giving it to a blah sort of robot because you want something different or more?
then write a fanfic of the fic, man. daydream a gloriously self-indulgent au in your head and smile to yourself about it. get fucking creative. it's just such a soulless act to hand someone else's blood, sweat, and tears to a chatbot and be like, "spit me out something," damn.

At the great insistence of our Discord server to make every month a celebration of Back to the Future, I am honored to host December's Celebration with the
BttF Bingo Christmas Card!
Write, draw, edit, art, whatevs! The point is to get bingo by the end of the month -- meaning you don't have to do EVERY SINGLE PROMPT, leaving lots of time for holiday cheer with your loved ones (because December gets busy)! I can't wait to see all the holiday-themed Back to the Future content! Post it here, post it there, post it everywhere!
Join in the fun with the #bttf bingo christmas card tag!
(Yes, you may laugh at my art.)

Started to realise that where you were born doesn't make it home. Started to realise that I really don't want to live in this place and never come back. Started to realise I don't care who I'll leave behind and who will miss me. Started to realise I want to be selfish and stop listening to others. Started to realise this post was a waste of time
:p

It's my birthday in a week.
Give yourself a gift for me: work on your favorite WiP. Not the one that's closest to finished, not the one you think will be most well-received.
Go work on your pride and joy and have a little party with your blorbos for me 💜

Hey! I’ve been looking into trying to make my own patches for a while, and while I can embroider, that only works for some of the patches I want to make.
How do you make yours? Do you just freehand paint them (if so, I’m impressed and slightly scared), or is there an easy/cheap way to make a stencil or something else? Also, what kind of fabric do you paint on, it doesn’t look like denim, but I can’t tell if it’s canvas or something else.
Sorry for all the questions!
i do freehand paint almost all my patches but yesterday my dad gave me a stencil which made it way easier to produce some more tonite! (But yes i usually do free hand everything. Im just good at art lmao.)
This is a stencil for labeling cargo shipping! and i used it to make some lettering of my patches really fast!
I have never made a stencil but i assume u could make a stencil using an exacto blade and some thin cardboard or thick paper like cereal box width.
i paint on fabric that i got from hoodies at a lost and found sale, that were going to landfill. I cut them up to size. I also use a big black shirt my friend gave me. Basically any spare fabric. I have never used canvas or denim personally as I’ve never had any spare of it. When i started i used leggings but theyre hell to work with. oh and i also used a pair of sweatpants i liked that fell apart on me.
The best way to get into patch making is to just start making. When i started it was quarantine so i couldnt go out and buy anything so i just used posca paint markers and cut up my leggings. and while i have embroidered over and repainted those patches, those are still some of my favourite patch pants.
the shitty diy aesthetic of not knowing what ur doing is part of the look. There was an awkward phase where i got too neat and everything i made started looking like shit.
Just have fun and MAKE SOMETHING!!!
